CR-90 Corvette (Fireblaze)
Ship Class: Corvette
Ship Role: Modified Corvette/Escort Ship
Ship Length: 150 meters
Agility (A): 2
Defensive (D): 4
Offensive (O): 4
Speed (S): 3
Special Gear: 2 (Docking Bay, Troop Capacity)
Description:
A gifted inheritance, the CR90, once named the Redemption, originally rested in the possession of Gwensai Helstra. Upon the death of his master and Vakim's ascension to the rank of Knight, the Jedi and crew of the vessel offered to pass ownership over to the Chistori. Already familiar with the corvette and crew, Vakim agreed, desiring to keep Gwensai's memory alive.
Shortly after taking over command, the modifications began as the reptilian wished to increase the craft's capabilities so to better perform in any role she was given as well as to fit more into the more aggressive nature that he and his former master once shared. Looking to the more combat-oriented CR92a for inspiration, the hull was given stronger armor and its shields improved. Though not as streamlined, the wide middle section was extended further back, nearly reaching the docking rings. This allowed for more room for weapon emplacements without hindering the escape pods. The four single turbolasers were replaced with dual turbolasers and spread further from each other while a third was added between them on the ventral side(three per side.) Four ion cannons were also implemented into the armament(two per side,) joining the weapons on the ventral side on each side of the single dual turbolaser while the original dorsal and ventral dual turbolaser turrets were swapped out for quad laser cannons to better defend from starfighters with the former weapons being repositioned to each side of the bridge.
Believing that his master would be proud of the new look of the vessel, Vakim took one final step in honoring her memory. As was the nickname she had carried throughout her years, so too did he grant the ship a new designation: Fireblaze. To better display this, the vessel was repainted dark gray with burning orange accents.
