The Core Galaxy Systems Dreadnaught was a military vessel built by Core Galaxy Systems for the Republic Navy before the time of the Great Sith War. Core Galaxy Systems Dreadnaughts were aimed at planetary assault and occupation and could operate in an atmosphere as well as land on a planetary surface. This type of vessel normally used its turbolasers to blast through planetary defense armadas, then enter a planet's upper atmosphere to allow its drop ships to deliver a planetary invasion force.

Coming in two armament variations; stock being 1 Heavy Laser Turbolaser, 16 laser cannons and 4 tractor beam projectors or the 'Enforcer' variation, which featured 2 Heavy Turbolasers, 16 laser cannons and 4 tractor beam projectors. Carrying up to 50 passengers and either six light tactical fighters or three dropships to land troops, the Core Galaxy Systems Dreadnaught was surprisingly hardy and relatively versatile.
