Recusant-Class Dominion Dreadnought
Ship Class: Heavy Star Destroyer
Ship Role: Dreadnought, Capital ship
Ship Length: 2,544 meters
Agility (A): 2
Defensive (D): 3
Offensive (O): 4
Speed (S): 3
Special Gear: 1 (Hangar Space)
Description:
Based upon the larger variant of the Recusant-Class Light Destroyer the newly formed Quarren Dominion seeks to protect and expand its territory within a galaxy, dominated by several major factions, while avoiding the same mistakes which caused the downfall of the New Republic. Inspired by the might of First Order and its main capital ship, the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer, Quarren engineers of Mon Calamari Shipyards and Pammant Dockyards attempt to design a ship, which is capable of reinforcing the defensive Mon Calamari cruisers of Dac, while being able to compete with other capital ships. With most Quarren ships from the Clone Wars era falling into this category, engineers began to construct large destroyers in order to remodel them into heavy dreadnaughts, serving the Dominion's cause.
With a heavy quad turbolaser cannon at its prow, 32 heavy turbolaser cannons, 96 flak cannons, 120 ion cannons and 180 point-defense dual light laser cannons, the Dominion Dreadnought utilizes most of its space for a large array of weapon systems in order to outgun most other capital ships within direct combat, making them also ideal for broadside combat.
Having powerful engines at its disposal, the Dominion Destroyer features a Class 1 hyperdrive, additionally to a Class 10 backup hyperdrive system, being a major improvement to the predecessor design. Furthermore, unlike on Separatist warships, the automatic Droid brain, coordinating the ship, serves within a secondary role as the crew space was increased to 1,200 men as a standart outfit in order to maintain the dreadnaught - however all these improvements came with the sacrifice of additional troop space, leaving the Dreadnought in a sole space-combat role!
Space between the hulls was, however, outfited with docking ramps for 36 Starfighters in order to ensure the defensive capabilities of the dreadnaught as a capital ship within open combat.
