Description:
Originally designed by the Mon Calamari Shipyards as a city ship, the MC75 Star Cruiser was refitted during the Galactic Civil War into a War Cruiser by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Powered by 12 sublight drives, the MC75 was capable to match the speed of starfighter escorts. There existed two variants of the MC75 line, known as the MC75 Armored Cruiser and the MC75 Ordnance Cruiser.
With 20 point-defense laser cannons, 12 broadside turbolaser cannons, 4 heavy ion cannons, 12 proton torpedo launchers and 6 tractorbeam projectors the MC75 was not as heavily armed as other ships of the MC line, but could nontheless held its own against smaller ships. The MC75 Star Cruiser was also capable of carrying at least 12 star fighters, while being operated by a crew of 3,225 men.
