MC85 Star Cruiser Ship Class: Heavy Star Destroyer Ship Role: Battleship Ship Length: 3,438 meters Agility (A): 2 Defensive (D): 5 Offensive (O): 2 Speed (S): 3 Special Gear: 0 Description:Manufactured by the Mon Calamari Shipyards and Corellian Engineering Corporation after the Galactic Civil War, the MC85 Star Cruiser served as a fast, defensive battleship, capable of outrunning modern battlecruisers like the First Order's Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer. Cocooned by advanced, experimental deflector shields, the MC85 is capable of repelling huge ammounts of damage, far more than most other ships of its size would withstand, before the shields would fail. A typical MC85 Star Cruiser features a weapon complement of 18 heavy turbolasers, 18 heavy ion cannons, 12 point defense laser cannon turrets, 6 proton torpedo launchers and at least one tractorbeam projector while being able to contain 48 starfighters and 30 transport shuttles within its hangar bay. A crew of around 210-1,139 people can usually be found on board of the cruiser.

This does exceed the 15 point limit, though. Agility (A): 2 Defensive (D): 5 Offensive (O): 3 Speed (S): 3 Special Gear: 2 (Hangar Space, Troop Capacity) Unless I'm mistaken it kinda sums up to 15 or am I overlooking something? |

Ah, I actually wasn't aware of that! Will try to keep this in mind for the future, lowered the attack to 2, since the MC85 has compared to other ships in this category a low weapon loadout (so similiar category as the Eternal Flagship, which I guess is okay), while being agility-wise probably on the same level as the Resurgent (since during the chase of the Raddus it was mainly the ship's speed which gave it for a long time at least a brief advantage). And I guess 5 for defense is justified for the MC85, unless we want to list the special shield technology as special gear. Only writing this down to clarify my thought process here in case people wonder why I went with these stats. |

Yeah, I ran into that same issue the first time I crafted stats like that and had to be told it was a no go. But I agree the attack should be lowered to a 2. As for the defenses, as it stands now, redundant shield generators are considered special gear, though my posting of the MC-80 Home One, Liberty, and MC-90 didn't have them set as special gear. But of course, that would once again put you over adding it. But one the three mentioned, I set defenses 4. Not sure how their defenses compare to the MC-85. From what I read of the article, the MC85 featured new experimental shields, which I would assume are stronger than the average Mon Calamari shields.
Given that it is its own section and the shielding ist described as "Advanced experimental deflector shields (wheras the regular Mon Cala cruisers have a shielding, listed as Deflector shield generators on the Canon article) I would assume that these shields might be stronger than the ones of regular Mon Calamari cruisers. I can list it of course as special gear and lower the defense to 4, but it's not the same shield technology, which previous MC cruisers utilized, just to keep that in mind.

As I see it, I see no reason to add it as special gear and just leave it as a stat of five for defense. In which case, I approve.
