Odin-class Star Destroyer
Ship Class: Star Destroyer
Ship Role: Warship, Command Ship
Ship Length: 1,725 meters
Agility (A): 1
Defensive (D): 4
Offensive (O): 5
Speed (S): 2
Special Gear: 1 (Redundant Shield Generator)
Description:
As part of the Aesir line of ships, the Odin-class Star Destroyer was designed to be Hadur Industries vision of absolute power and domination on the battlefield. Nothing was spared in its design and weapon loadout, seeking the best layout possible. Select features of other models were incorporated into its makeup as the teams sought to eliminate as many flaws as possible while increasing its advantages. The wedge shape design of typical star destroyers was selected due to more surface area for weapons placement while getting the most of every angle. Taking from the Chiss ideas, the body was slimmed down, making its attack profile as small as possible, making the most effective attacks against it a predictable feat. The bridge was also much closer to the main body, thus minimizing it as a target along with proper weapons placed around it to keep starfighters away.
The Odin-class serves a single purpose: annihilate its targets with unrelenting force. As such, it was built to be capable of jumping into the middle of a fray without hesitation. To ensure it could take a serious beating and come out alive, its armor was improved and redundant shield generators were put in place to further solidify its defenses. The impressive armor was only outshined by its weaponry. Scattered strategically across its hull were fourteen octuple barbette turbolasers, sixty-five heavy turbolaser batteries, fifty-five dual turbolaser batteries, forty-five heavy ion cannons, twenty heavy dual point defense batteries, and ten tractor beam projectors. The drawback, as was the norm in these cases, was a serious loss of speed and agility for tremendous firepower and defenses.
As it was designed to be the powerhouse of a fleet, capable of engaging enemy ships mostly on its own, troops and starfighters were not added into the mix, letting the ship itself tie up the enemy while others in the fleet released fighters and attacked from safer distances or prepare assaults on the ground.
