Oshosi-class Sniper FrigateShip Class: Star Frigate Ship Role: Long-Range Assault Ship Ship Length: 875 meters Agility (A): 2 Defensive (D): 3 Offensive (O): 4 Speed (S): 3 Special Gear: 2 (Hangar Space, Advanced Targetting Systems) Description:Seeking to design ships of the highest quality that were built for specific roles, Hadur Industries and Lyncitech created the Aesir line of ships with the Oshosi-class Sniper Frigate. Though most battles were fought face to face, displaying the might of one's forces, there were always those occasions where a fight was won through the skills of snipers and assassins attacking quickly and silently from long range. Seeking to apply such principles to space battles, the company created a ship that could hit hard and accurate from a safer distance from a waging battleground. Being a ship designated as a long-range craft, the primary weapons were the two long-range mass-driver cannons that sat side by side with two long-range heavy ion cannons sitting just beneath that. To protect these weapons against starfighter attacks, a shroud was built over the top and sides of these weapons, limiting the areas in which they could be attacked. Advanced targetting systems were installed to ensure the greatest accuracy over the long distance so as to hit precise targets and avoid friendly fire. Should it be engaged in a direct confrontation, the Oshosi was armed with a front-facing, dual heavy turbolaser and sixteen quad turbolaser cannons, eight mounted on each side. A point defense system was scrapped due to the effectiveness of the targeting system allowing its turbolasers to better bring down starfighters. Due to its role, troops were removed from the equation, though it was built to carry with it twenty-four starfighters.

Range isn't really something that has been implemented into the MAD system yet. However, with that notation passed, I see no reason why this design isn't fine as is.

Maybe not yet, but it's still capable of standing up in a full MAD system conflict. And when in fights that are more story driven, it adds a little flare. And should range get implemented in the system at some point, it'll just add an extra touch to it. At least, that's how I imagined it when creating it.
