"As far as I know the agency planned to use me as a bargaining chip against you with Lord Sinistra."
The Cathar naval commander bowed his head in respect to Taung's comment about his lost crew. It's true, it was nothing personal. But he also had his lord captive. Whether or not he believed it, to Demarus it was personal.
6 spoke up, stepping away from the window where she stood.
"I came across him on one of my past missions after I started to distrust the agency. I knew Demarus was being watched and enlisted Palex to help me figure out a way to get him out. They will figure out our deception soon, we're going with you to battle. It's the only shot."

::I see.::
He looked back and forth and then at the chrono.
::For now then I'll have you in the quarters next door, and out of sight. We don't need to have rumors floating about about a seven foot Cathar walking about. I will move up the operation to get everyone off planet more quickly. Don't be surprised if some of my commandos show up to escort you. You are now under my protection until you are returned to...well however you want to put it. Freedom, liege...::
He unlocked the door and stepped out, looking back and forth before unlocking the door next door that was typically kept empty quarters. He motioned Palex and Demarus into the room and handed them the key card for the room before turning back for his quarters, confident that the two would take his advice and not go running around the station.
He closed and locked the door behind him again, facing Mel..Six.

"I said a day and here I am."
She walked closer to him, dropping the buy'ce on the couch, her hands on her hips. She looked at his visor, knowing those beautiful silver flecked hazel eyes would be staring back at hers. There was a fresh blood stain on her upper left arm, although she had made no mention that there had been any trouble.
"So now what?"

He removed his helmet with the hiss of a seal and let his eyes travel travel up and down her, his eyes locking on the blood stain on her upper arm before he dropped his helmet on a conform chair.
"You're hurt." His eyes flicked back up to hers, concern radiating out of them in almost palpable waves.

"It's nothing. 8126 was faster than I gave her credit for."
She reached up to touch his face, to make sure that her eyes were not deceiving her. She felt the need to be reassured of their connection, to taste those lips again as she leaned in and laid a gentle kiss on his lips, tentative and uncertain of his reaction. She was unsure if he would be having second thoughts about being involved with someone like her.

He kissed her back gently, apparently she wasnt hurt too badly. But it still made him bristle that she had been hurt. He closed his eyes and opened them slowly looking into her eyes. He whispered as he slowly and gently broke the kiss as he wrapped his arms around her, the two sets of armor clacking slightly against the plates.
"You never had a name did you...what do I call you?"

She let him hold her for a moment, then pulled back to strip off her armor. She unzipped the top of her suit under the plating, letting it hang at her waist. Her arm was bandaged but it was starting to bleed through. She peeled up the edge of the gauze and sucked air in through her teeth at the flash of pain that lit her eyes. She patted it back down with a wince.
"No I never did. What do you want to call me?"

It was a strange question, at least it hit him as such, he had assumed that she would have some fantasy where she would have chosen a name that she might dream would have been her own and no one elses. It had never occurred to him that she might not have something picked out already.
"I...I thought you would like to be called...I don't know. I thought that you would have somehow had a name in mind. Something that was just you."
He looked at her arm again as she winced.
"Come. Lets get that cleaned up properly."
He took her by the hand and led her into the 'fresher where the medical supplies were kept in a cupboard. He turned his back to her as he rummaged about looking for what he needed to clean and bind the wound properly. Taking off his gloves and gauntlets in order to better manipulate the devices and materials, setting them aside.

"I like Melia. I don't think I should use Tervho though. Although, I feel a connection to the Mandalorians. It was studying for this mission that cemented the decision to get out. But I don't want to take a clan who doesn't know me. I don't know if you can just become Mandalorian without having a clan."
She leaned on the sink, letting him get a look at the wound. It was a nasty blaster burn, the skin bubbled and charred. She didn't want to look at it, instead looking at his eyes. There was sorrow in hers as she reached over and caressed his ear as she changed the subject.
"I lost Lola in the explosion."

Taung carefully watched what he was doing as he put several ointments on the burn to cool and sterilize it before wiping it down with a healthy coating of gel substance bacta before putting a fresh gauze and cover on it. Somehow the loss of Lola seemed to touch a cord within him. It seemed to be the only thing that she considered her own and treasured from her previous...life if you could call it that, but it seemed to pain her more because it was one of the few things that she could have allowed herself to attach to emotionally.
"I like Melia, it has a nice ring to it."
He finished putting things away and turned to her, taking hands in his and looking into her eyes.
"We'll have to find you another one. I know it won't be Lola, but it will be yours, whatever you decide."
He leaned in and kissed her gently, tenderly, that quickly turned into a more passionate kiss as he once again wrapped his arms around her, careful to not brush up against the newly bandaged arm.

Their kisses lead them across the hall to Taung's room, the door closed just in case Gaeza found her way back home. The armor hit the floor with thuds, punctuating the need and desire for them to once again find themselves entwined with lips, tongues and limbs. The quickened breaths and whispered pleas were music to her ears, but when he murmured her name into her neck in the heat of the moment, it struck her deeply. A name was the pot of gold under the rainbow to assassins of the agency. She never believed she would live to have one, and now, she had experienced what everyone else in the universe took for granted; someone saying their name in a moment of passion. Tears welled up in her eyes and spilled over her cheeks as she hugged him close to her, her face buried in his neck. They lay there in silence until she pulled back to look in his eyes, a very vulnerable look in those crystal blue eyes of hers. She brushed her thumb over his cheek, her other hand in his thick hair and her voice barely above a whisper.
"Taung, I've never...been serious with anyone before. I don't know how this is supposed to go. I need you to show me."

Taung reached up and set his hand against the side of her head, using his thumb to wipe away the tears that slipped silently down her cheek on one side. While she spoke quietly, the expression on her face and the way she held him close spoke more clearly than words could truly convey without writing a book. He whispered to his reply to her.
"I will do my best Melia."
He whispered the name over and over to her as they slowly started entwining themselves with each other again. He started out gentle and tender, picking up the pace when he sensed that was what she wanted, and slowing down if he felt her hesitate, being as considerate a lover as he knew how. He made it all about her that afternoon, and when they were both spent he held her close in his arms, and nuzzled her neck and face, content to hold her close and make her feel loved for more than her beauty.

"You can call me Mel..."
She closed her eyes, lulled into a sense of contentment by the sound of breath filling his lungs and the beating of his heart. She felt the weariness and the stress of the last few days fade from her and exhaustion took over. She was having a hard time keeping herself awake but in the light streaming in from the star burning at the center of the system, he could see the various scars laid across the canvas of her skin. Cuts, scrapes, one that looked eerily like a stab wound all healed over and barely visible except from a certain angle. She dozed off, a scowl forming on face as her dreams turned dark, tainted by the worry of the hunt for her. She spasmed a couple times in his arms before she jerked awake, bewildered and confused about where she was. She nearly struggled away until she realized that she was in Taung's arms and she slumped back against him, her face hidden as she tried to calm her very appropriate fears.

"Mel..." He wrapped his arms around her protectively, he didnt know what memories were contained within her mind, and may never know, he just wanted to make her feel safe. Even though he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her gently into his body he made sure that he did not restrain her, not wanting to trigger something that may be in her training, programmed reactions of violence. With one hand he stroked her hair gently in soothing motion. He felt her relax back into him. "You're safe when you're in my arms. I know it will take a while. It will take a while with me as well. I suppose that we will just have to help each other have a long term serious relationship. I'm a bit out of practice."

"Rationally, I know that. But until we kill them all, I'll always wonder. They never treated us like people, we were assets. We were expendable because they were always training new people. Yeah, replacing one of us would be a headache but it could be done. We were not trained to be unique. We were trained to blend in, to be invisible in a crowd and to believe that our only purpose in life was to serve the will of the state. It's going to take some getting used to. If we both are fumbling through ecstasy, at least we're doing it together."
She let her lips brush against his, drawing herself closer to him. She nuzzled his nose, her bright blue eyes softly affirming her words and affection for him. The dark shadow pressed across her face again and she took in a deep breath.
"How secret are we keeping this? The LIA will not sit on my death forever. They have to suspect that I would try to contact you and they have the bodies of 8126 and 9147."

He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and held her close.
"As long as we need. I could even create a report that you were found by some of my troops and killed to buy more time if we need. They just need to keep guessing long enough to feel safe by reports of our mutual deaths, so that they can happily hang themselves without realizing it. The fleet will be moving in a day or so, just as soon as I have been able to confirm what Mandos can arrive, and where they need to be."
He gave her nose a gentle nip.
"I will probably have to remain in hiding, since I am the biggest villain as far as everyone else is concerned."

"Are we going off to die in battle fighting the force users? How romantic."
She chuckled as he nibbled at her, pressed so closely to her warm body, his muscles firm under the skin. She could forget everything like this. He was so confident that his plans would work out that she could almost believe it. Truthfully she didn't know what to believe anymore. She had to relearn everything, the true dealings of the LIA and what role she played in their regime. However a new thought occurred to her. Taung had a much bigger target on his back than she could ever imagine. Systems would be gunning for his death. How could she protect him under those circumstances? How could he avoid facing justice for this actions? She didn't want to think about it right now. Instead she turned her attention to the other woman in Taung's life.
"What about Gaeza? I would not trust that she would be safe here in your absence. Are you planning on taking her with you?"

"No."
He had put a lot of thought into what to do with Gaeza while he was away. He didnt dare take her with him. The chances were too great that she would be killed. On the flip side he didnt dare leave her within reach of Liannan Intelligence. It was always possible that their sources were good enough to find out that he had a daughter. It was always possible that they could figure out who she was in reality. He doubted they could put something together that far, and he had already put his troops on a higher standing than they had been. Operatives may be good, but they were only as good as training could make them, but even the best trained in the galaxy could be taken down by a novice, and his commandos were far from novices, and even scarier in their armor that was strength enhanced and locking joints to prevent close in hand to hand injuries. But...the longer an enemy had to plan an assault, the more likely it would succeed if they chose that path. She would have to go away somewhere...but he didnt know where.
"I don't know. I'll have to send her away for a bit. If things don't work out...well then she'll be gone a long time. She'll have the holocrons I recovered from Carida, which should give her a head start on controlling her powers..." He faded off into silence as his eyes went far away for a moment. In that few moments his mind went through all the futures that she might experience on her own. Jedi...Sith...Mando...Bounty Hunter...hermit...spacer...ruler...tyrant...follower...Then his eyes came back. "The plan will work. I plan on getting you into bed a few more times. And I for one don't want to miss that."

"Off world would be best for her. Send her off with a trusted team and tell no one. Disguise her. Do what you need to keep her safe." She brushed her fingers across his face, his concern for the ones he loved an admirable trait that endeared him even more to her. She leaned in to press her lips to his again, her lips and tongue caressing his in a deep, slow, passionate kiss that sparked them for another round of embraces that lead them to take their pleasures beneath the sheets again. Their breath in rhythm with their lovemaking, the pulse of their shared experience moving the furniture under them and the universe around them. If this was love, she was addicted to the sensation of his body on hers, his whisper in her ear and the taste of him on her lips. They collapsed on the pillows once more, spent and lying on their sides, admiring the view even with the blush of exertion on her cheeks and sweat sticking her black mane to her forehead.

Post by Gaeza H'rel on Dec 27, 2013 8:18:33 GMT -8
Gaeza was tired of her lessons already, exhausted from her combat training and really just wanting a shower as she trudged through the hallways. Her father had spent more time in meetings and in battle recently than in their quarters and she was not expecting him to be home now. This was the life he had forged, one of necessity. She understood his sacrifices, she understood the need. She had started thinking about certain things lately, soul searching or some other wishy washy phrase they called it in those heart wrenching teen dramas she had been sucked into lately on the holo. The most dangerous thing about her was her face. It had to be constantly hidden because she was a clone and while youth camouflaged her to a point, her advancing age was quickly making it known who she was a clone of.
She was beautiful, the prime, in a strange sort of way. She looked somewhat exotic with the shape of her eyes and the richness of her eyes and hair. She seemed regal in holo footage, she seemed cold in battle. It did not give Gaeza any ease to think she might be forced to come face to face with the wrath of a woman that dangerous simply because they shared a face. Gaeza wanted to change that as quickly as she could. It felt like a decision that should be hers alone, but the nagging feeling that her father would object intruded on her thoughts. What if he really did want to keep her as a tool against Sinistra? He would need her to look identical. The what if's were drowning out clear thought with a ridiculous buzz she couldn't shake.
Gaeza entered the apartment, her gear slung over her shoulder and she froze. There were 2 buckets on the furniture in the living area. One was definitely her father's but the other was unfamiliar. She let the duffle slide down her arm to sound a thud against the floor. She gingerly picked up the buy'ce from the couch. It was a woman's, that much was certain. There was only one other person that Taung would take his buy'ce off for. A quick glance down the hall and she shook her head and shuddered. His door was closed. She decided not to disturb him at the moment and tiptoed into her own room and shut the door, flicking on the holo to watch some cartoon while she stripped off her exercise gear. She had a private refresher off her room as he did so she knew that unless he came to seek her, she could give them both some measure of privacy.
Showered and clean with a long ponytail of slightly damp deep brown hair trailing down her back, she sat on her floor and began to meditate as the materials on Force use instructed her to do.
