Named in honor of Mandalore the Hammerborn, the Hammerborn-class Cruiser was among the waves of new ships that were created to modernize the Mandalorian Navy during the reign of Mandalore the Architect, constructed by MandalMotors and MandalHypernautics. It was an odd ship that had a small capacity for starfighters, but no capability of carrying ground troops, making it a good candidate as an escort and destroyer within the Mandalorian Navy.
The Hammerborn-class Cruiser had an arsenal 10 light turbolaser batteries, 10 point defense laser cannons, 4 proton torpedo missile launchers, and 6 ion cannons. It could carry 24 starfighters, given that space was more dedicated to starfighters than troops.
