Designed by The Organization and built by Aegohr Manufacturing deep within the Smuggler's Run asteroid field, the Arctodus was designed to be the Kodiak's big brother. Capable of holding up to 150 soldiers or a maximum of 30 small armored vehicles, depending on configuration, the Arctodus was capable of in atmosphere flight as well as space flight. Equipped with a hyperdrive, the ship could act independent from a support cruiser for some time before needing to be resupplied. Armed with two forward facing quad laser cannons and one rear facing turreted turbolaser cannon, the Arctodus was also equipped with two missile launchers capable of being outfitted with a variety of payloads depending on the mission or task at hand. Somewhat slow and cumbersome in atmosphere, the Arctodus was usually escorted by fighters or gunships, acting as protection for the transport.
