Designed by The Organization, the Normandy-Class Stealth Reconnaissance Frigate (SR-1) was the first of her class and a prototype design stolen from multiple sources. Sitting at only 130 meters in length, the SR-1 was capable of loitering in enemy territory for days, or even weeks to gather intel. Fast and agile for its size, the SR-1 was armed with two Mass-Driver Cannons mounted under the forward bow, recessed inside the ship when not in use. Twelve point defense laser cannons dotted the port and starboard sides of the ship to deal with incoming projectiles and four proton torpedo launchers were also located on the port and starboard sides. Boasting surprisingly powerful shields for its class, the drawback was they weren't designed to last in heavy engagements or dogfights. Capable of carrying a medium sized ground vehicle as well as a contingent of 20 soldiers for covert operations, the SR-1 was The Organization's response to other like-minded vessels within the galaxy.
