Calok, at this point having exhausted most of his anger and frustration on his ships controls; watching as the barge pulled up and began to draw his ship towards the station. He hesitated for a moment before responding. His ship has been through a lot especially considering its age, but this was the first time he ever had to put out a distress call. In a somewhat nonchalant tone he replied
"Well... guess not everyone wants me dead today. Thanks for the lift."
He sat back into his chair and pulled off his helmet, setting it on his lap and sighed as his ship was pulled into port.

The attack on the Rock had been launched from the Coordinated Underground of Nihilistic Tribunal Saints's light cruiser, which had come in from hyperspace and launched its assault shuttles into the main hangar without firing a shot. From there it had chased away the local freighter traffic, which had scattered at the alert, keeping out of range of any potential conflict. The Rock was armed, but powered down against a warship ready for battle, with no fighters in the air and her hangars boarded, she wasn't in the fight. The cruiser was there to cover the landing force, prevent interference and interdict any ships trying to approach The Rock.
Myrkr's ground based defences weren't able to target the cruiser so close to the station, and the local military had yet to arrive, giving the enemy cruiser a free hand up till now.A pair of the brand new Myrkr-class escorts lifting from the planet below led the effort, rising to meet the more formidably armed enemy ship. Between them they mustered a full squadron of the brand new Death Seed fighters which fanned out to escort their vessels towards the intruders. Command of the force was on the senior Captain, a female Firrereo, aboard the escort Zillo. ::This is Captain Fukov of the Myrkr Defence Corps.::Turbolaser fire came at the two Myrkr-class ships from the cruiser, which began maneuvering away from The Rock to orient towards the new and approaching threats. Zillo was joined by Strill in recieving punishment from the cruiser's turbos.::.. and kriff you too then.:: She cut the comm and cursed the enemy, giving an order. Rude assholes. Open fire! Both escorts responded in kind, firing their heavy turbolasers back at the cruiser. The duel began, two small but capable warships and a squadron of fighters against an enemy cruiser. The escorts held fire with their heavy missiles. This was not, as some might think, for worry of damaging the nearby station. No, indeed. The Vegemites were going to steal the CU of NTS ship. So they couldn't blow it into space dust. They would disable it, board it, and take it for the Vegemite cause.

A second wave of shuttles launched from the Coordinated Underground light cruiser as it angled away from The Rock.
Aboard the escort vessel Zillo, now engaging the light cruiser alongside her sister ship Strill, Captain Ivantt Fukov was not a happy woman. Three more kriffing days and she would have been done with this assignment, and done with her fourth divorce from her fourth shitty husband. Service in the military was not kind on marriages and relationships, but she had the worst luck in partners outside of her comrades in the fleet. Her thrice-damned chain code now read her full name as Ivantt Fukov-Kye-NaTayarrd-Gonnlai-Down. She went by her maiden name once more, for the final time. She was not adding any more to her overlength name; a permanent record of her failure in love and life as she saw it.
And now these people, these..... bastards, were attacking Myrkr. Anti-Vegemite assholes, from what she knew of the enemy. Well, they had picked the wrong fourty four year old fired up fuckin Firrereo woman to mess with.
They've launched a second wave of shuttles. One of her officers reported, confirming scans the Captain had already seen.
Captain Fukov made eye contact with the sensor officer and nodded, not wishing to waste words, or take her fury out on one of the junior members of staff. Instead she stared out the viewport at the enemy. If glares could have been turbolasers, the enemy ship would be space dust right now.
Pour it on.
Fukov growled to her weapons officer, who shunted more power to the forward turbolasers. The escorts could hurt the bigger ship, given time and with the light cruiser choosing to split its fire between the two Myrkr escorts, they would be able to hold it off for longer. They were the bait, however, not the true threat. Even now, aboard the station, the Vegemites would be capturing the second wave of assault craft, and soon returning whence they came, bearing happy little Vegemite surprises for the enemy.

*A shuttle winked out of hyperspace approaching The Rock as the sun began to eclipse the edge of Myrkr. Avarath lay sedated in the hold, space travel not being her bag. Aydyn was reconsidering, now, that he probably should have left her on Thyferra. He wasn't entirely sure what her business had been there in the first place, but she had lit off into the jungles once the landed and returned somewhat less agitated but now mumbling something about having to go to the playground.
On good days, Avarath was indecipherable, so Aydyn had assumed that she wanted to come to Myrkr for some reason. He sat comfortably behind the helm watching the dazzling flames of the sun light the world where the Nen was silent. Even from this far out of the planet's orbit he could feel the stagnant bubble that formed around the planet of the ysalimiri. It was all together intriguing, daunting, and beguiling to him.
The Calnennore had always thought of Myrkr as a playground: a way to truly determine your skills as a hunter, fighter, what have you. Their species breathed the Force the same way they needed air to breathe. The additional challenge to be without the ever persistent ebb and flow of the enveloping universe left one both naked and afraid as it were.*"YOWL!"*The togorian at the helm gave a startled shriek as a massive ship loomed into view and hailed the shuttle. Luckily he was belted into his co-pilot's seat so he could not bolt and rabbit down the interior of the shuttle towards the hold. Such a sacredly cat. The other togorian pilot flattened her ears against her skull, hissing.*"Calm down you fool, it's just another ship.*Penelope opened the channel to state their business.*::Shuttle WakaWaka requests to visit the playground, love and kisses Avarath.::*There was a brief pause between the request and the sign off, as if the one relaying the message was not quite sure she should pass the second half along. Aydyn had looked over the code and nodded approval, though he thought it was just as ridiculous as the diminutive togruta.*

Fleet Assembly Area - Myrkr Orbit - Some time after the Battle of Wayland
Though the battle still raged just nearby, outside The Rock, where the Vegemite forces were capturing the Coordinated Underground cruiser, the rest of the Clan Australis fleet, not required to assist, were in their assembly area, some distance from the massive asteroid space station.
Owing to fatigue or wounds from the recent battle on the nearby planet of Wayland, many of the crews were shuttled downside to medical facilities or for well earned leave, while repairs and maintenance crews shuttled over to keep the fleet at peak readiness.
Though he felt the weight of years as well as the fatigue of the recent battle stress, as commander, Kaine was on duty. He'd crossdecked to the flagship Invincible Reason upon returning to Myrkr, to meet with the Admiral who was taking over command of the fleet, his distant cousin Flash.
Flash and Kaine did not see eye to eye on many things, though each respected, grudgingly, the other's capabilities and combat record, neither approved of the other's style or tactics. They were not so much polar opposites as they were predisposed to disagree; if Kaine said the world was round, Flash would at least try to make the argument that it was round, but not in the way Kaine said that it was. Neither was innocent in such constant griping, and it grated on everyone that was in the same room with them for any length of time.
Flash was already on the bridge when Kaine arrived. They didn't speak for five full minutes while each reviewed reports and checked holodisplays. Eventually, they accidentally ended up facing one another, without either having their face in a datapad, which was of some amusement to the bridge crew.
Admiral. Kaine said first.
Alor. Flash said, nodding politely. Then to everyone's surprise, they exchanged datapads without a word, both scanned their retinas to the other's pad, and then nodding, swapped back pads without so much as another word. Kaine left the bridge to the Admiral, having, as he saw it, escaped. Flash thought of it as a victory too, and the crew were slightly disappointed at having nothing to gossip about.
The Alor headed to his quarters aboard the flagship, seldom used, but would be his home for the next fleet operation. On the bridge, Flash oversaw the reassignment of personnel, and the formation of the full Clan Australis fleet for the next mission. The Invincible Reason as the largest and most powerful ship would continue to act as flagship, with the Red Rocket taking the second fleet group.
The new Myrkr-Class escorts were impressive ships, and a dozen of them now rode with the fleet, sleek and well armed; they were a superb escort choice for the slow but powerful Australis capital ships. Between them, the fleet had a wealth of starfighter complements, and were well able to put decent striking power into the air when necessary.
Troops too, along with ground vehicles, were now being assigned to the fleet. Elements of the Foreign Legion, as well as some of the well trained and equipped Clan Commandos, with vehicles and supplies began to ship out to the fleet from Myrkr. Though he would not directly command any ground operations, the Admiral was still responsible for everything in the fleet, and was a thorough and detailed commander. Kaine had pre-checked the army's loads before coming aboard, so he had little to do but wait as the crew shifts changed over, and the last of the supplies were packed aboard ship.
The process took time, but with significant infrastructure set up on Myrkr as well as the prep time available to the Clan, progress was made on refitting the fleet, and preparing them for their next mission as a unified force.

Building an entire army and navy was not a task that was completed overnight, nor was it the labour of a single being; nevertheless, Kaine Australis was overseeing logistics for the Enclave, and that meant making sure there were enough personnel to handle any assignments.
Armed forces came from Myrkr, recruits went in, and troopers came out. Naval officers were the tough part, naval crew could be trained aboard ship by their fellows, but Naval officers needed to be ideologically sound as well as capable, as Kaine saw it.
Having assigned final oversight to both Auriana and Flash, his best two Admirals, Kaine was free to be a third party to settle any disputes between the two. Likewise, with the army, General Nebus and Bors of the Jare'rami'kade had oversight, and Kaine acted as third party. In this way, his experience was added to that of his senior field commmanders, and they took on the challenge. It wasn't every day you got to design and build an army and navy from the ground up, and professionals all; they were determined to do a proper job of it.
Slowly but surely, the command corps of Clan Australis began to see the first formations of Vegemite Enclave forces come up under their own colours. Infantry units, Naval Officers and crews, and even some of the new Vegemite Commando units, which trained in various places across the galaxy outside Myrkr, because some of them had Force talents to hone.
The Vegemite Army and Navy would be a different command structure than Clan Australis, and the Clan would remain an independent force under its own command. Though Kaine was Field Marshal of the Enclave and its supreme military commander, he considered that role an elected one, that he might have to be relieved of at some future point, whereas his role as Alor of Clan Australis was absolute and separate.
Vegemite Generals were promoted and appointed from the masses of those who either signed on or were offered incentives to join up with the military of the Vegemite Enclave, the best and brightest candidates given access to advanced training and supervision. These commanders would make up the Divisions of the Vegemite Army, overseeing infantry and vehicles under their own commands. All Naval roles up to the rank of Captain were filled too, with flag naval roles being reserved for the leadership cadre of the Vegemite Enclave, or those appointed to that rank in the future.
For now, Admiral Flash Australis was overseeing the preparations for the Vegemite Navy, with Admiral Auriana Australis retaining overall command of Clan Australis naval forces as the, slightly senior, Admiral. This left the Field Marshal to watch over the process from a distance, and as the others saw it, keep his spoke out of the organizational process until it was time to fight.

Arias X-70B Phantom dropped into the open orbit over Myrkr. The ships sensor resistant skin made detecting of the vessel difficult even for the most advanced systems. As was the purpose for the ships design. She wasn't overly concerned about being detected or not though as her mission was simple.
She set the ship into an automatic orbit and activated the ships advanced scanners. "Ok, where are you" she whispered to herself as the scanners madd detailed long range sweeps of the planet surface and other orbiting bodies. Small ship traffic here and there, though something caught her eye. A geostation of some sort. She dialed the scanners into its location. "Strange... didn't expect to see a station out here. And... what's that?" She shook her head in confusion as she picked up what seemed to be some kind of conflict just outside thr station.
Never the less as she dialed in her scanners on the Rock, her tracer beacon signal also increased... "There he is" she said while adjusting her course to the station.

There had already been blowback from the raid on Zeltros, word had spread, but some didn't take the message to heart, and now, things had escalated. A pair of IRI judicials had been killed, and when that news had hit the radar, it had escalated to Kaine. The Alor made the decision quickly, this wasn't going to be a meet and greet. It was time to send another message. First warning was verbal, second warning would be physical.
The planned strike was on a Hutt-owned cartel setup working out of Thyferra, who had been linked to the killings by intelligence gathering operations. Unlike Zeltros, this would not be a judicial operation, but a military one. That was why the Australis Alor had returned to Myrkr. The substantial military resources of Clan Australis would be loaned out to the IRI. Kaine was going to make a proper declaration this time.
The assault force was enough to take on a military stronghold and then some, Kaine was far more experienced with this sort of endeavour than pretty much anything else; for once he wasn't bored. He was doing what he was good at, and when the enemy were the scum of the galaxy, that was a bonus. The Mandalorians shipped out from Myrkr in freighter convoy, headed directly for the strike at Thyferra.

After attempting to escape the IRI forces patrolling the Oasis, the ewok Teebo of the notorious Bespin Blood Pirates, had made an unexpected and certainly unplanned jump to lightspeed. His navi-computer damaged due in part to his respectful but poorly planned gesture of remorse, he had been hurled into the treacherous corridors of hyperspace, having no idea where he would end up. So you can imagine his surprise when...
Myrkr's naturally formed gravity well yanked the T-wing out of hyperspace, jerking the tiny starfighter and giving the furry pilot inside a hard rattle. Warning alerts sounded and the cockpit's emerging lighting flickered red as the rapid reversion damaged the fighter craft's structural integrity. The left and top mounted engine casing cracked under the pressure and vented ions as they began to break apart. With only the right side afterburning engine intact, the craft began a violent spin as it was drawn by the forces of gravity towards the planet's atmosphere.
=Teebo= "Stang, stang, stang, STANG!"
His stomach lurched as he lost control, causing his hearty spaghetti lunch to exit his mouth and paint the cockpit tomato red. The outer part of the fuselage began to glow orange as heat built up on the surface of the smoking T-wing and the ship spiraled into an uncontrolled crash landing...or maybe just crash. It streaked towards an area not particular friendly to strangers.
An area the Mandalorians of Clan Australis affectionately called 'The Playground'.

Alert klaxons rang out as an unidentified fightercraft breached Myrkr space at high speed, exiting hyperspace excessively close to the planet. Too far away from any defences, and too fast for an intercept in any case, as was plain to see for the sensor operators aboard The Rock. The officer on duty looked to their commander.
Should we sound the alert, sir?
The commander looked over the sensor report, and considered only a moment before responding with orders.
For a single damaged fighter? Even if it's hostile, it's going down. Alert the fire suppression crews downside.
Orders given, the Playground was notified of the incoming fightercraft, but they expected no trouble. It couldn't be an attack, even if the fighter was packed with explosives, it was heading for the jungle. For now it was being treated as a curiosity, not a threat.

By now, word of the attack on Obroa-Skai had spread to the other Mandalorian worlds, including Myrkr. With their forces stretched and spread throughout the galaxy, most of the planets remained relatively unprotected. A majority of their forces were still seconded to the Inner Rim Imperium and were thus unavailable for Mandalorian duties. Kaine was aware that Reyn had violated orders and headed straight for the action, and he was quietly proud of the young lad, though he couldn't say so openly, it was bad for discipline.
What he could do was ensure that Reyn's forces weren't alone. Obroa had minimal forces on station, and they would need more help than one heavy cruiser. It would mean stripping defences from other places, but he couldn't avoid that. Rank meant he could bull through any objections from fleet and army command. The chiefs of staff knew better than to try and argue with the Alor when his mind was made up.
He dispatched attack orders to the Nightbringer, the Conqueror, and the Tiger's Claw. Along with escort forces drawn from the minor worlds, the strike force was ordered to rendezvous short of the Obroa System a few light hours out in deep space. Putting the pieces together from a dozen sources took time, but he was able to assemble a powerful strike group. Finally, he added the Terror Australis, Myrkr's only remaing defense vessel, to the force. He couldn't go himself, but he could send his biggest and best warship, commanded by his best Captain.
The force would arrive after Reyn did, but it would bring a significant level of firepower, enough to give any enemy force pause. A star destroyer, a cruiser/carrier, and two assault star frigates, with an array of escort vessels. They carried a wealth of fighters and strike craft with them, as well as two full Commando units aboard Nightbringer and Conqueror. Terror Australis was one of two Vegemite Star Destroyers in service, and the only one under Kaine's direct command. She would lead the line for the relief force.

Logistics for such a large operation as the Byss mission created a nightmarish scenario for the officers who had to ensure that vast quantities of personnel and equipment were moved into the right places at the right times. Because of the sensitive nature of the mission, need to know was at an all time high, and that made the task of organizing far more difficult.
Ten full companies of commandos had been assembed aboard the Carnifex. The Warlock-Class could accomodate up to sixteen, but the rest of the space was dedicated to vehicles, supplies and munitions for the operation. Ten different companies, which was unusual, most operations requiring one, two, or at most, three of the specialized commando units. Kaine's own Jare'rami'kade were entirely present. They were the smallest and most elite company, numbering only one hundred.
Each company had deployed with three platoons, comprised of twenty four squads, plus a command squad for the Captain-General. Of these there were eight, with only the Stormwolves and the Cubs without their CO, each commanded ably by their XO. With these came the Night Witches, Boarding Brigade, Redbacks, Greenbacks, the terrifying Night Lords, and the relentless War Pigs, backed up by the Copad Guard, resplendent in gold. Most of the units maintained a somewhat uniform look, though as senior commandos each of them could and did customize their wargear as they pleased. There was a little mingling among the units, though the Night Lords in particular kept entirely to themselves, as did most of the Copad.
A full thousand of the Mandalorians would be deploying to the warzone directly from Carnifex. These represented the best of Clan Australis' many and varied commando units, each with its own specialization. Each excelled in its area of expertise, and together they would make a formidable force. A thousand Mandalorians wasn't quite enough to occupy a world, and so they would be backed up by the Copad Legion. The Legion were elite level soldiers, and came in far greater numbers than all units other than the Foreign Legion, the Clan's standard trooper. No foreign legionaries would be going to Byss. The commandos would kick the door open, and the Copad Legion would pour in.
Along with the Legions would come a wealth of heavy vehicles, and heavy armaments for the foothold the Commandos would carve out upon Byss's surface. They needed to get to the surface as quickly as possible to reinforce the deadly but hopelessly outnumbered commandos. Unlike the commandos, the reinforcements would not be sneaking in, nor would they come bearing Ysalamiri; all of those available being designated for Kaine's advance force.
Supplying and equipping the force took much time and work, and though the Carnifex had its commandos and its supplies, they would need to await the formation of the Copad Legion aboard its transports, and the arrival of Lord Nexus and his other allies of the attacking force. Kaine had wandered off to Mandalore for drinks, using rank to bully through any objections. While he took a day off, the work continued...

The Dewback-class Pleasure Yacht popped out of hyperspace above Myrkr and began broadcasting it's identifier and advertisements for The Beskar Bes'uliik, Galactic famous restaurant run by none other than Buf Fett. The wait staff were already busy tidying up the dining areas whilst the Senior Chef's oversaw the rest of the Cooks running meal prep. Buf himself was aboard the bridge of the ship, overseeing the ships arrival and positioning in orbit in case orbital control decided to reach out and question them. Blast doors over docking bays were retracted to reveal the blue energy shields separating the safe pressurised interior and the vacuum of the void beyond

A lone taxi shuttle had been sent out from the Beskar Bes'uliik a short while ago, only to return with its sole sizable occupant, a rather well-dressed Herglic that went by the name of Dolmin Teague. As the vessel pulled back into the bay area of the pleasure yacht and set down, the doors would soon open to reveal the Cetacean, dressed to the nines after his recent grooming routine aboard his own ship. Dolmin soon exited the vessel, stepping out onto the deck of the bay area. He tipped his driver with a couple of the larger-denomination creds he had on his person, and began making his way to the internal portion of the vessel, following all appropriate signage and being mindful of his step along the way.

A waitress led Dolmin through the main restaurant floor to the grill seating area and placed him at one of the larger setups. A pair of Selkath, a Dashade, and a Mantellian Savrip had already been seated ahead of Dolmin, with the grill and seating designed to accommodate larger species. Drinks were served out to pass the time as everyone else was brought to their tables and the time for the shows to begin approached. At the appointed time, the lighting in the restaurant lowered and spotlights shone brightly on the grills as Buf and the Senior Chefs rose up from the floor behind their grills, with Buf taking the grill Dolmin had been assigned to Welcome to The Beskar Bes'uliik, I'll be your Chef tonight. Tonight's event is an open Grill. Please check through your menu and decide on your mains whilst I prepare the entrée of garlic bread and soup. Buf reached for the giant pot of liquid and transferred it to the Grill top whilst raising the burners high for half the table. He then set the other half to a low heat as he buttered up several pieces of bread and set them down on the surface to toast, all whilst throwing in several over projected moves with his spatulas and knives

It was a small matter for Dolmin to put in his drink order; a Cetacean-sized cylinder of dark ale that sounded appetizing to him. Following that, he continued to peruse the menu to see if any of the entrees stood out to him.

The wait staff were busy, delivering drinks and serving several of the sit down tables in the restaurant area. But they all managed to keep up to the pace Buf had set for them. The quality of the experience at The Beskar Bes'uliik meant that Buf could pay everyone a decent wage, whilst also providing them with lodging on the ship itself and travel to all the worlds the Restaurant visited. Passion came out the best when financial concerns were eliminated.
Buf threw in several flips of the bread, checking the done-ness of it each time, as he kept a close ye upon the slowly boiling soup which was heating up. He produced some vegetables and other ingredients to chop up and add to the soup Cooking is a true passion of mine. It's why I started this venture so many years ago with The Skid Lid Sizzler. Naught but a simple food cart I operated alone. But today, it has evolved into ol' bessie here. The Sizzler has a few siblings now and she only gets out on special events. But I've never lost my passion. Better to fill a belly with food than with lead... He started serving over the garlic bread as it was cooked to perfect crispness before returning to cooking the soup a little longer and ladling that out into bowls which were served to the diners
