Description: Deciding to have at least one ship built based on the traditional wedged-shaped pattern of the Sith and Imperial Empires, the Umbra still keeps in line with it’s smaller brethren by carrying the aggressive shape of the Dark Jedi’s ships. Its ridged back gave no clear indication of where the bridge is located, pulling away from some of the suggested flaws of typical star destroyers of the past. To further play upon its advantages in design, the various angles and slants of the hull were meant to baffle visual sensors. From afar, its black hull and sparking lights allowed the Umbra to be mistaken for the endless void of space.
Though not as heavily armed as most in its class, it still carries enough firepower to challenge its enemies. Moderately armed, it holds 30 heavy turbo laser batteries, 25 double heavy turbo laser cannons, 15 heavy ion cannons, 10 proton torpedo launchers, and 10 tractor beam projectors. By sacrificing a bit of its weaponry and armor, it is faster and more agile than most, making it just as dangerous as other destroyers. Coupled with its visual design, it can appear quickly, hit hard, then disappear back into the shadows of the void to prepare for another pass. To aid in its efforts, it carries 48 star fighters and 5,000 troops.
