The Enforcer-class picket cruiser was created within an conjoined effort of Sienar Fleet Systems and Kuat Drive Yards engineers located in the Pentastar Alignment to fulfill Grand Moff Ardus Kaine's desire to rebuild the Imperial fleet as quickly as possible. Having removed the power generators from the original Immobilizer 418 cruiser and having discovered that by re-arranging the vessel's power grids, they could significantly enhance the ship's energy weapons, shields, and tractor beams, the Enforcer-class became a very fast and maneuverable cruiser, perfect for picket operations.
Featuring 6 Ion cannon batteries, 10 quad laser cannons, 10 turbolaser batteries and 4 tractor beam projectors, the Enforcer-class was equipped well enough to disable enemy ships within close combat efficently, while its reconfiguration of the engines allowed it slightly more maneuverability. Although a minimum crew of 1,000 men could technically fly the cruiser, the standart crew was compromised out of 3,000 officers and 60 gunners, while a garrison of 300 troops could ensure the safety of the ship. Unlike other ships of its designframe, the picket cruiser featured no additional star fighter compliment.
