A Delta-class carrier was a type of starfighter carrier that served in the Imperial Navy during the Great Galactic War. An example of this class was the carrier Extempus, which was commanded by Moff Nezzor during the Battle of Duro. The Extempus was a Delta-class carrier that served in the Imperial Navy as the flagship of Moff Nezzor during the Galactic War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The Extempus participated in an attack on the agriworld Ruan in 3641 BBY, but was destroyed in a subsequent attack on Duro when Nezzor was caught in an ambush.

Armed in similar fashion to its twin, the Harrower-Class Dreadnought, the Delta-Class Carrier was exclusively a starfighter carrier. Armed with 20 turbolaser batteries, 10 double heavy turbolaser cannons, 10 heavy ion cannons, and 10 tractor beam projectors, the interior of the vessel was redesigned to function specifically as a carrier. Supporting no ground troops, instead toting an impressive 144 starfighters, the Delta was the primary carrier within the Sith Empire.
