The Sith personnel carrier was a starship used by the Sith to deploy Sith drop ships into battle. A Sith personnel carrier was fitted with docking clamps for six individual drop ships and was similar in appearance to the contemporary Derriphan-class battleship. Armed lightly with only eight light blaster cannons, the carrier was also rather slow due to carrying up to six drop pods. They also carried 360 troops on board. They were deployed during the Great Hyperspace War participating in attacks on key Republic worlds. Once the tide turned against the Empire and Korriban was attacked in the Republic retaliatory invasion of Sith Space, a fleet of personnel carriers jumped into hyperspace and began a decades-long journey to escape the Republic forces and rebuild their Empire.
