While visibly relieved when Aeryn comes over and joins the conversation, Faina seldom, if ever, socializes beyond training or operating in the field with her fellow Imperial Knights, and her first impulse, therefore, is to decline the Stormtrooper's offer, which is precisely what she does, shaking her head without so much as even a polite smile as she says, "No, I th . . . stopping when she hears Aeryn accept the offer for them both, Faina's expression briefly allows her apprehension and mild annoyance to surface before her more customary stoic, inscrutable expression returns as she says dryly and without a great deal of what would be considered enthusiasm, I mean, yes, that sounds so . . . fun? Recalling enough of what socializing entails to know that her armor will be out of place, Faina fiddles with the straps of her left gauntlet while saying, I should probably change first. I'll meet you both by the front entrance in a few minutes?"

* Aeryn nods to Faina and looks back at Nicolina *
" If you could just give us each a few minutes freshen up and change it would be much appreciated "
* Aeryn turns and heads to the men's locker room. After a quick shower, Aeryn dons tan cargo pocket tactical pants, tan boots, a white t-shirt a blue light leather jacket. He fastens his weapons belt around his waist and clips his lightsaber on his left side, Aeryn not paying attention leaves his Imperial Knight Lightsaber in his locker.
After about 20 minutes Aeryn walks out of the Locker Room and heads to the front entrance to meet with Nicolina and Faina*

Nicolina cannot help but laugh when Faina starts to decline the invite only to accept if after Morningstar says he's game, just as she cannot resist the urge to give Faina just a bit of grief. Leaning forward to punch the female Imperial Knight in the shoulder gently, Nicolina jokes, "Yeah, fun. I promise it won't hurt ya' to have a bit of it. You might even like it if ya give it half a chance."
Nodding after Morningstar and Faina ask for a bit of time to get freshened up, Nicolina says, "No problem. Front entrance, right?" Nicolina asks Faina to clarify where they'll all meet up, and then sketches a salute as she pushes off the wall and then makes her way towards the front entrance.
Glancing playfully at her wrist chrono when Morningstar arrives at the entrance, Nicolina jokes, "A few minutes, huh? Hopefully Nikulin doesn't have an even more liberal definition of a few than you, right? Then again, she says with a theatrical expression of pondering the question, if taking a bit more time helps her chillax, what's a few more minutes of waitin' between friends, huh? She does chill every now and then, yeah?" Nicolina asks Morningstar with an arched eyebrow, wondering if he has ever seen his fellow Imperial Knight in anything other than a somber, oh-so serious mood.

Unaccustomed to banter, but able to recognize that the Stormtrooper is employing, Faina makes a rare concession by forcing a smile that probably looks every bit as awkward as it feels to her, and then nods after they all agree to meet at the Tower's entrance in a few minutes.
Not even all the way to her room when she begins regretting not simply declining the invitation, Faina grits her teeth at the thought of what probably lays ahead of her; an evening of feeling awkward and out of place in addition to berating herself for finding the courage or will to face her fears and try to learn whether the sinking feeling that she and her fellow Imperial Knights are failing their duty to Nicademus in allowing so many Dark Siders to enter his orbit. Rubbing her face in frustration as she enters her personal quarters, Faina forces the thoughts aside, the perils of allowing her doubts to be revealed an all too familiar danger she knows she must guard against; she knows where her loyalty lies, but also knows that some might equate her doubts with being treasonous, if not outright dangerous.
By the time she walks out to find Nicolina and Aeryn, Faina has successfully managed to set her inner turmoil aside for a time, and while she feels no more enthusiastic about the plans for the evening than she had before, she has at least managed to keep that sentiment from being blatantly broadcast in her expression. Catching the last of Nicloina's remark, Faina comes as close to making a joke as she is capable when she says, "I dimly recall it happening at least once or twice in the past, so there's always hope of it occurring again, isn't there? Do we know where we're going yet? Or how we're getting there?"

* Aeryn goes to answer Nicolina's question when Faina walk up to them. He greats his fellow Knight with a half smile and a nod. *
" Alright we are all here then "
* Aeryn takes out his data comm from his pocket and requests for an Imperial personal escort speeder to meet them outside. Before putting the device away, he can see that a message had been sent to him. Reading it quickly Aeryn does not his face give away his sudden change of mood, putting the data comm back in his pocket Aeryn motions for the others to follow *
" There is an escort speeder out front we can take, and I am sure Nicolina knows of a few places we can go to "

Nicolna puts a hand over her heart after Faina makes what she guesses was an attempt at humor, pretending to stagger back a step in shock as she says, "Was that a, a . . . joke, Nikulin? Narrowing her eyes as though in concern, she asks, Are you feelin' alright? Laughing as she drops the act in light of the fact she has seen how uncomfortable being the focus of attention can be for the Imperial Knight, Faina turns her attention to Morningstar as, lifting a hand in the air, she assures him, Oh yeah, I know of many, many awesome places we can go, don't worry on that account, buddies."
While following Morningstar to their transport, Nicolina picks out a bar and grill she has been to and which she thinks will suit everyone's needs and personalities well enough for their destination. The place she has in mind is busy enough that they will fit in easily and not stick out, and yet not so busy that the noise will prohibit conversation. That the food isn't half bad, the music is danceable, and the drinkies are reasonably priced are all bonuses in Nicolina's mind.
Once they are underway, Nicolina does her part to get that whole rapport thing going, asking Morningstar, "So, we have a few minutes to kill. What's your story, Morningstar?"

* As the group boards the escort speeder, Aeryn looks over at Nicolina and answers her question with a light smile *
" Not much of a story here Nicolina, pretty boring actually. Just another force-user in the galaxy looking for work. The First Order needed people of my skill set so I signed on as an Imperial Knight. Really not more to it then that"
* Aeryn does his best to keep the conversation off of himself and focused on Faina and Nicolina. It wasn't easy keeping prying eyes off of his past and it would be best for himself and others to not delve to deeply into it. *
" What about you? Life of a Storm Trooper can't be an easy one "

"Frak Morningstar, Nicolina jokes with a playful shake of her head, you could have at least tried to make something slightly interesting up." Nicolina, despite the light tone of her reply, finds the Imperial Knight's answer somewhat interesting despite the fact it had revealed absolutely nothing; whether Morningstar is simply not inclined to speak of his past or is being evasive for some reason is something to consider, though Nicolina doesn't foresee the evening presenting much opportunity to explore either possibility unless she is reading Morningstar wrong.
"You kidding? Nicolina asks with a cluck of her tongue when Morningstar suggests the life of a Stormtrooper is not easy, a lopsided grin appearing as she says, Being a Stormie is a dream come true, yo. Despite her usual playfully snarky tone, Nicolina's pride and satisfaction with her job is evident - especially for Force users who are inclined to use their abilities to glean a sense of what lays beyond words and demeanor - as she goes on to say, I mean, come on, I get to bring order and meaning n' stuff to the poor schutta in the universe unfortunate enough to be mired in chaos, corruption, stupidity, and stuff, yeah? I get to be a part of bringing peace and prosperity to those that ain't got none of neither; how many peeps can say that they do something all important and meaningful like that, right? Plus, she grins with a nod of her head as she jokes in a somewhat transparent attempt to downplay her honest zeal and passion and belief with the barracks humor many of her peers often fall back on rather than openly speaking of their beliefs, I get to travel, play with cool weapons, and wear that really awesome armor, right? May not be the easiest life, Nicolina concludes with a grin, but I wouldn't trade it for nothin'. Looking over towards Faina, Nicolina tosses the conversational ball to her, asking, You agree with me, right Nikulin?"

* Aeryn listens to Nicolina and keeps his thoughts to himself as the conversation is passed to Faina. He was not one to judge someone's beliefs, but he was sure if Nicolina knew how many storm troopers had fallen because of his blade she would not be so keen on being this friendly with him. As the speeder moves away from the Tower and into the city, Aeryn lets his thoughts wander as he keeps his ear open to the conversation.
How could a person serving the First Order truly believe that they are helping the galaxy. Aeryn had seen first hand how the First Order brings their forms of peace and prosperity, he had even been apart of it. There was nothing peaceful about it, the First Order did as it pleased under a deluded guise that they where helping the galaxy, though most of the time the people they are "helping" don't want it. And with that are killed, conquered and then subjugated for a use that best fit the First Order. Aeryn would gladly debate his own ideals to Nicolina's but in doing so would raise to many red flags, so he keeps them to himself.
The speeder pulls up to a middle class bar and grill that Nicolina had suggested.&*
" Hold your thoughts ladies, looks like we are here "
* Aeryn steps out of the speeder and waits for the other to enter the bar and grill *

While a part of Faina would almost like to laugh at Nicolina's answer to Aeryn's question, she is self aware enough to admit that a larger part of her is jealous of the Stromtrooper's belief in the First Order and that it remains true to its original purpose rather than, if her personal fears are correct, having become perverted and warped by the Dark Siders it has become increasingly aligned with and reliant upon. As she does not yet trust either Aeryn or Nicolina enough to reveal her actual thoughts, doubts, and fears where the current state aiof the First Order is concerned, Faina subtly mocks the Stormtrooper's perky, glib manner of expressing herself as the speeder comes to a stop, answering the question of whether she agrees with the woman's sentiments with an, "Absolutely."
Exiting the speeder, Faina leads the way inside the bar and grill, and then tells the greeter they need a table for three. Once they have been seated and have ordered their drinks, Faina, figuring that if Nicolina is true to form the brief lull in the conversation will not last long at all, opens a menu to see what looks good and, not the most talkative being by nature, elects to let her companions steer the conversation in whatever direction they see fit.

* Aeryn takes a drink of the Flameout he had ordered, and leans back slightly in his chair. He had chosen to sit with his back facing a wall so that he was facing the entrance. Aeryn looks around at the crowd, it seemed like an easy going place. Just a few middle class locals and other military personnel, Aeryn takes another* drink.
" Well i think we have gotten past the formalities, What do you want Nicolina ? "

Setting her menu aside after paging through it to see what she feels like ordering, Nicolina tilts her head to the side with an exaggerated expression suggesting she is deeply pondering the question posed to her. After a brief pause, Nicolina says, "Well, Morningstar, that depends. Are ya asking in, ya know, the existential sense? 'Cause then I'd probably go with something like, she sits up straighter and says with theatrical formality, order throughout the universe, and long life to the Supreme Commander and all his heirs. Grinning to reveal that she is not really unaware of what had been asked, Nicolina takes a sip of her ale before saying, Or did you just mean what do I want to order? In that case, I think I'm going the steak and veggie route. Looking over at Faina, Nicolina asks, How about you Nikulin? You know what you'll be getting yet?"

* Aeryn raises his eye browns slightly as he nods to Nicolina while taking another drink. *
" I should have asked the question....more directly, my mistake"
* Between the unwanted banter and his wrist comm constantly sending vibrations into his arm, Aeryn was beginning to feel a slight aggravation creep up inside of him. Setting his drink down, Aeryn picks up the knife next to the fork that was before him on their table and slowly spins the blade around wit his fingers. He would observe and he would listen. Faina and Nicolina would show their true intentions either on purpose or by accident. *

When Faina observes Aeryn's raised eyebrows in response to Nicolina's customarily snarky and nigh constant banter, which makes it difficult to gauge how seriously one should take anything the woman says in Faina's opinion, she offers her fellow Imperial Knight a sympathetic smile accompanied by a subtle shrug of a shoulder to try and communicate to him that she understands his reaction to their dinner companion's chatter all too well. When asked what she will be ordering, Faina tells Nicolina, "Besnian sausages with orange-Madeira sauce."
Aeryn's silence and expression, which seems to her either bored or distracted, suggest that he won't be much help in keeping the conversation flowing at the moment, and so Faina finds herself in the position of having to try and do so herself despite her usual discomfort with most social situations off a battlefield, briefing room, or training room. Clearing her throat after taking a drink to buy time to sift through past casual conversations in her head for ideas of something to say or ask to keep the silence from lingering too long, Faina fidgets with a napkin as she asks Nicolina, "So, um, what have you . . . or, well, your unit I guess, been up to since Nirauan?"

"Hey, no worries buddy," Nicolina tells Morningstar in a cheery tone when he apologizes for now being clear and concise in his questioning, her expression making it evident that while she has picked up on the fact her banter is evidently not something he appears to appreciate, she is more amused than offended by that fact. Deciding that she should dial her irreverent sense of humor and tendency to babble freely down in light of her current audience, Nicolina does her best to remember to be more serious going forward, thinking to herself that it would seem that the stick up the bum thing must be an Imperial Knight thing.
"Fancy, Nicolina says cheerfully when Faina shares with the group what she'll be ordering, managing to bite back the rest of the teasing banter that leaps to mind. Taking a sip of her ale before answering Faina's question, Nicolina sets her drink down and explains, Training mostly. We've been sorta retasked, and will be doing some other stuff in addition to straight up shoot 'em ups in the future, she adds vaguely, not sure anyone would be interested in a full description and pretty sure the news she's working under a Darth wouldn't be likely to help build a chummy and cheery atmosphere. Deciding to test the proverbial waters a bit by raising a subject that the Imperial Knights have an opinion about, Nicolina glances around to make sure no one appears to be attending to their conversation and then, seeing no evidence that they are being scrutinized or listened in on, leans forward and says quietly and casually, We've also been prepping for that upcoming assault on Dantooine, you know the one with the attack on a Jedi enclave and all? You Imperial Knight types gonna be along for that one?"

* Aeryn who had begun to canvas the room, snaps his attention back to Nicolina once she mentions Dantooine, it had seemed that just about everyone in the First Order was going to be involved in the attack on the planet. It made sense being that this was going to be one of the first true great shows of force that the First order was going to make while on the route to expand to fully encompass the eastern outer rim. Aeryn stops twirling the knife in between his fingers with the tip of the blade going slightly into the table. *
" The Supreme Commander hasn't fully phased us out yet....Faina and I will be leading the first assault force to attack Garang "
* Aeryn looks slightly over at Faina, knowing that his fellow Knight may be surprised by his statement. He hadn't gotten around to inform her yet that the reason he had come to her in the first place to train together was because they had had been chosen together to lead the attack. Aeryn makes eye contact with Faina briefly before looking back over at Nicolina, he couldn't stop the feelings that he had begun to have for Faina, but he could hide them as best as he could.*
" Even if we win... the after math will just be another long and devastating war. After the smoke clears if it is our flag that is still standing, the price we will all pay, that the galaxy will pay for it, will be so high it won't be worth. Starting a war with the Jedi, is a is a good way to sign an empire to its demise"

Faina's surprise is subtly revealed by a brief, tiny arching of her right eyebrow when Aeryn reveals that she and he have been chosen to lead the first force to assault Garang. Though she had been aware of the Imeprial Knights' inclusion in the upcoming attack on the Jedi aligned world, Faina had been told little else, accepting the news and lack of detail with the same sense of resigned numbness that has plagued her ever since the First Order had begin to welcome more and more Dark Siders into its ranks. It is what Aeryn says after dropping the news of their joint role in the assault, however, that truly captures Faina's attention given that the dim view of the First Order's efforts, specifically the heavy price that those efforts will entail for not only the First Order but also the universe at large that she once believed the First Order truly desired to bring order and prosperity to, echo her own troubled thoughts.
Faina, knowing that Nicolina is not likely to share the view Aeryn has espoused, and may even be offended by it, subtly lifts a hand and waves it downward before picking up her drink in an effort to signal her fellow Imperial Knight to ease off the comments about the First Order, and to try and distract Nicolina from the remarks, laughs and says with as much levity as she can muster, spouting rhetoric she has heard but does not believe, "He's kidding, of course. The Jedi are no threat. They might hold a meeting to talk endlessly about maybe doing something, but they've dwindled in numbers after the Mandalorian Crusades, and have even lost their temple on Coruscant the last I heard. Without the Republic's military assets, they have no hope of standing against the First Order."

Nicolina doesn't know Morningstar well enough to gauge whether or not his little preach session after, from the looks of it, dropping some unexpected news in Faina's lap about the bit of work they have been assigned for the upcoming op on Dantooine is all from-the-heart, simple posturing, or just the kind of jaded cynicism one can expect from some seasoned vets that have maybe been in the game too long; and so she doesn't leap up and shout HERESY!! or TRAITOR!! or THOUGHT CRIME!! or anything like that, as amusing as it would be to do so. Choosing to just nod with a neutral expression after Morningstar has stepped down from the verbal pulpit, Nicolina listens to Faina's cute little attempt to smooth over any possible hurt feelings, which sounds more canned than sincere, but as Nicolina doesn't really know Nikulin much better than Morningstar she decides to take what she says at face value for the time being.
"Didn't sound like he was kiddin' to me, Nicolina says with a grin accompanied by a cheery tone to make it clear she isn't bent out of shape by Morningstar's remarks. And, she adds in a more somber tone, I think his assessment of the Jedi Order's threat level might be a bit more on the nose than yours. Gotta respect those wacky robed monks and monkettes for having survived for as long as they have, right? Seems like no matter how many times they get beaten to the point of near extinction, they manage to pick up and dust off. But, she smirks, glancing towards Morningstar, on the other hand, our girl does make a good point about how the Jedi do really like their meetings and debates, so I'm not sure you might be overestimating them just a little. Shrugging a shoulder to suggest that they could probably go around and around the theoretical question of how much of a viable threat the Jedi present to the First Order, Nicolina says with a frown, Too bad they don't see that we want the same thing, huh? We both want peace and order, they just think that it will happen without some firm guidance. Rapping her knuckles on the wooden table, she says, This is a nice table, sturdy, useful, nice to look at, right? Gesturing towards the restaurant around them, she says, Food is good here, drinks too. None of what we see around us just happened. Trees had to be cut down, animals had to die, grain had to be threshed and all that. Can't make an omelette without breaking eggs, yeah?"
Resting her chin in her hands, Nicolina looks at Morningstar directly, as though searching his eyes for something as she asks, "I'm curious though, why be an Imperial Knight if you feel like what we're trying to do isn't worth it?"

* Aeryn finishes his drink and sets it down on the table, he looks at the empty glass then back up Nicolina*
" I was one of those wacky robed monks once, and let me tell you there is no power in this galaxy that can fully destroy the Jedi "
*Aeryn rolls the empty glass around in his hand, watching the iced move in the glass then back at up to Nicolina*
" We could debate our views all night, but some people just stand for different things....*pauses* my reasons for becoming a Knight are simple. The First Order has resources, resources that no one person could have. Resources I need, and in return I give my service to the First Order "

Pausing at the entrance to the Tower of the Imperial Knights before entering, Nicolina remembers the last time she had been here, meeting with Nikulin and Morningstar shortly before they embarked on the mission to Dantooine. Thinking back on the meeting, Nicolina recalls that there were signs that Morningstar, a traitor now presumed to have been killed on Ossus, was, if not already set on betraying the First Order, at least leaning heavily in that direction. While she had not acted on those subtle signs in that instance, Nicolina thinks as she puts her hands in the pockets of her dark blue peacoat, chosen so she looks like an innocent, harmless civvie visiting her Imperial Knight pal rather than an Intelligence agent here to plan an operation that will hopefully rid the Imperial Knights of any remaining traitors in their midst, she and Nikulin will not be making the same mistake in this particular instance. Their operation to the Maw revealed that not all of the Imperial Knights are as steadfastly loyal as their new Grandmaster, and Nikulin has asked for her help in carrying out Delvardus' command that the Imperial Knights are freed of any disloyal members hiding within their ranks.
Entering the Tower, Nicolina makes her way to where Nikulin said to meet her, and then dropping casually into a chair after exchanging their greetings, asks, "So, everything a go on your end? We have a go date and place set yet?"
