Nicademus felt their swords clash as both managed to deadlock one another for a few moments. In that time, the Imperial felt something stir within him... the same sensation as before with their first spar. It began to confuse Nicademus, cloud his mind... cloud his thoughts. Forcefully, the Supreme Commander bit his tongue within his mouth, after a moment. Anya was his most trusted Imperial Knight, she had saved him when no one dared to raise their blades in his defense.
He moved back after they parried their deadlock. His chest moved slightly up and down as the muscles were more in motion than they had been before. The Imperial clasps his vibrosword within both of his hands, focusing upon Anya for a moment. A change of plans came immediately with his mind as Nicademus moved forward with more discipline than before, keeping his sword upright for defense, but had the skill to move to offense, given his stance.

When Nicademus puled away, Anya remained in place with her back to him though the moment their backs no longer touched, her senses were upon him and his movements to dodge or counter his next strike. However, she felt him simply move back and prepare himself again. She took a silent breath to calm her own mind before slowly facing him.
She let her blade hang down in her left hand as her eyes fell upon him. Noticing the rise and fall of his chest, she couldn't help but wonder if he was getting tired. They had barely dove into the spar as of yet, suggesting little energy had been spent. Then again, spending more time behind the desk did tend to take from the physical stamina one had. But no evidence could be extracted to give point to her thoughts so she pushed them aside as he took a new stance.
Seeing he was ready to follow a different approach, she would follow, using the spar to work out her combat forms. She would start at the bottom with Shii-Cho and slowly work her way up with what she knew. Bringing the saber up in front of her, she gripped it with both hands, her eyes gazing passed it to focus on Nicademus. The most basic of stances, both simple and unpredictable. Then again, she always felt its simplicity made something much easier to read as the moves were basic and straight forward. Also said to be weaker against single opponents, she felt otherwise, provided they kept their mind clear.
Only letting a moment pass, she moved forward with a moderate pace, choosing to make the first move. She flowed with a series of attacks, a triple combination starting by bring her saber above her head while out of his range and bringing it back down for the over head strike. Flowing with the attack, she'd let the blade arch low and to her left before bringing it up level with Nicademus's right arm and slash straight across moving to her right side, fluidly twisting the blade to strike with the same attack, now at his left arm.

Strapping the shoulder onto the manikin Panno watched Jayin enter through the side of his eyes as he put his tools back where they came from. The day I get bored of hitting things really hard will be the day I lose both my arms. Maybe not even then. It had never been his wish to be the armourer for the Knights, but when his Master died over Kuat during the crusade it was thrust upon him. An untrained, unready Knight told to make the armour to protect everyone. It had taken him many years to perfect his trade, and every time someone died while wearing his armour he felt as a personal blow. So yeah it was pretty easy to not have a sense of humor. Listen I made something for you. How does being my guinea pig sound? Reaching under the table he pulled up a round object covered in an oil cloth, uncovering it Panno placed a red helmet on the table. I know you cant see it, not really. It matches the armour and attaches to the back. Phrik covering a plastoid composite alloy interior. Basically its super light and will be able to take a lot of damage. Almost as much as your thick skull could anyways. It should fit your head like a glove. Go ahead and try it on. *As only the type of wisdom Panno can deliver, dripping with serious sarcasm. It wouldn't be hard to imagine Panno forging without arms. A thought that amuses Jayin, but only for the briefest of moments. Jayin knew how personally he took making armor, especially when a brother was killed. He felt that he failed them. No matter the circumstance. However, Jayin perks up when Panno places the helmet on the table.*
<Jayin takes a slight step towards the table, picks up the helmet and puts it on.>
*Just like Panno said, it fit like a glove. Jayin smiles slightly.*
"It fits like a glove alright. Although, I do think you're right. My head is harder."
<Jayin taps on the helmet>
"Thanks for the new helmet all the same. It'll be nice not having to worry about being stabbed in the face."

I wouldnt say that. That red really looks like a bulls eye friend.
With a wink Panno extinguished the forge around him making sure all the dials and levers were back in their original position.
Want to go test it quick? I have to start prepping for a mission, Delvaradus is sending me to Gargi. Have to go guard a train.
In fact it wasnt really all that hard for him to pack. Everything he owned was inside a small box at the foot of his bed. However he needed some time alone. Or more of it. Since the attack on the former emperors life Panno had wanted the sanctuary of his own mind more than usual. This posting in fact felt like more a punishment than anything else. Only three people, well four if you included Xeonon really knew what happened that day and his being sent away felt like he was being silenced.
Come on lets go to the training area and bash each other around a little.

After the combination performed by Anya, Nicademus would find his limbs stinging from the effects of the vibrosword and flat on his back. His eyes slowly opened as the Imperial gazed at the ceiling of the training area. Yet again, beaten down by a trained Imperial Knight... he really needed to do some more training with his sword arm. Perhaps Panno could give him a blade that worked best with his stance and to train with.
It was all a blur really as Anya came at him with her combination. First his knuckles were stung, followed by his arm. Yet the most unlikely part hit was his face. The Imperial's footing had failed as he swiftly tried to move, causing the target of Anya's blade to pass by its intended target and slam into the Supreme Commander's face. His left cheek was relatively sore from the hard blow now. After that, the sparring ended with, yet, another victory for Anya.
Nicademus slowly begins to rise, trying to shake off the numbness of his left arm. He rubs his cheek and chin slightly; the bones still hurting from the slam to his face that was clearly unintended, but did give him a good knockout blow. He grinned the best he could at Anya.I clearly am not cut out for sparring with you or with blades. I was meant to use a blaster pistol more so.

Anya gazed down at him with a tilted head. Unlike last time where she panicked from the sudden emergence of her darkness and more aggressive side, this time she just watched him, almost amused at how he fell. She found it odd that he would be taken down so easily with extremely simple attacks that younglings first learned as they learned to fight. She didn't think him that weak and boiled it down to simple distraction.
Despite that, she decided to mess with him on the subject. "Wow, I didn't expect you to go down that easily. Those moves were straight out of the beginners handbook. All that time behind the desk has not done wonders for you. Perhaps you need to get into more rigorous activities." She chuckled a bit, shaking her head as she swapped the blade to her left hand and reached down to help him up with her right.

*Gavin watched in silence as the battle unfolded before him. He took note of her attempt to follow his patterns, though he knew she didn't fully understand the truth of that style of combat. It was more than simply flowing around an opponent. It was a process of understand them reading their movements and body language. It was an art form that allowed a user to mimic and predict the attacks of an opponent to a near instant moment and near perfect detail. When applied, they could flow with ease around attacks as if they were nothing and respond with perfect counters or even become a reflection of their enemy. It was a combat form based upon the mind and created an illusion of control and power. A difficult style to master for everyone was different and time was needed to understand the opponent, no mater how skilled the user.
He then noticed Anya's swift change to a Form I stance. He was eager to see how well she could flow through them and exhibit her current level of mastery. However, what he took most was the feelings he picked up from both of them. He was skilled in detecting and feeling the slightest ebbs and flows of the Force and the emotions caught up within it. Years of training and hours of mediation had been required to reach this level, but to him, it showed a truer mastery of connecting to the Force much like he saw greater power in manipulating the tiniest of particles compared to manipulating something large. There were moments of confusion and hesitation and confusion, especially in times when they were closest. Even if they didn't understand it, he did: interest was slowly building between them.
He was surprised, though, when Nicademus went down so soon after Anya changed her style. As Anya said, those attacks were the simplest any could perform and should have been read easy. While he knew there had been some distraction, he could tell he wasn't up to par to being a warrior as being a leader of an order. Whether he had been at one time or not didn't matter. He hoped Nicademus would be ready for he wouldn't be able to always rely on protection from anyone. There would come a time where he'd have to protect himself. If Anya for some reason chosen to eliminate him, he doubted Nicademus would last very long.*

Perhaps you need to get into more rigorous activities." She chuckled a bit, shaking her head as she swapped the blade to her left hand and reached down to help him up with her right. Now now, Anya, don't get too cocky. I just need to train with a sword better. I am used to blaster pistols after all.The Supreme Commander grabs her hand and uses her weight to stand up. Nic would then look directly at Anya for a moment before his hand would gently grip her shoulder. She was among the many who believed in his power, his vision, his promises. Yet she was one of the few that the Imperial could trust with his life. Anya had defended him when all others abandoned the Imperial, all because of false accusations. Without her, Nicademus would be dead.
He would speak plainly to Anya within seconds, his voice sincere in its tone.Anya... know that I cannot be without you. You have been my sword and defender for such a short time. Yet you have shown great loyalty and belief in who I am and what I can bring to this galaxy. I hope that you will never doubt me and that you will continue to defend my name till the very last breath... whether it is mine or yours. I hope that every future Imperial Knight is as loyal and faithful as you are. That's why I ask if you would please return to the Imperial Knights.================================= Some days later...With the Unknown Region campaigns concluded and the First Order having gained new territories and expanded its borders immensely within a short time, the bulk of the Imperial military would return to the core sector of the First Order. The Supreme Commander returned to Muunilist and went straight back to work. Lately, he had kept to himself for reasons unknown, but eventually surfaced after a week of solitude. His first stop was the tower of the Imperial Knights.
There he called for a meeting of the most notable among their ranks and their respective commanders. Youth and Elderly alike entered the room. Some were new faces to Nicademus while others were veterans from his days as Head of State for the Imperial Remnant. From the magnitude of this meeting, it was clear something important was needed to be said. Nicademus would calmly wait for the rest to join up before starting the meeting.

She could help but chuckle as he stood to his feet. "Well, when you can last more than three attacks, I'll take it into consideration."
She stopped though and her cocky grin faded as his hand meet her shoulder and he looked at her. The joking attitude and fun of the spar immediately vanished. Though she kept her composure as she looked back him, her emerald eyes meeting his blue, her heart began racing faster and faster with every second. It was all she could do to keep her breathing calm. When he began to speak, she took his words as him trying to hint at something, speaking of needing her. Even though he spoke of her being a sword and defender, she still thought it more on a personal level.
That was her thought, at first, until she heard him speak of the Knights and returning to them. It was kind of a let down in her mind, his words making it seem that's what he saw her as. Taking a deep breath that was released in a sigh, she closed her eyes as she thought on what to say. Technically, she never left the Knights though she had thought on leaving. Even now with his words she still wasn't sure. Opening her eyes to look at him again, she was quiet for a moment before speaking again.
"My loyalty has nothing to do with my duty as a Knight. That day I saved you, when I stepped in between you and the group that wanted you eliminated, it was no longer about duty. At that point, the lines that drew who were were, Knight and commander, were gone. In that moment, I stood in front of you as I would in front of Gavin. I believe in what you want to achieve and the plans you have. It doesn't matter what position you hold. In that moment, I was defending someone that mattered." She then let her eyes drop to the floor. "Honestly, the claims they wanted to hold you to weren't actually wrong. They may not be Jedi, but utilizing the dark-side through the Sith was more than enough to give them reason to remove you from the throne. Even I don't fall into the lines that an Imperial Knight should be. From the darkness I wield and the way I can and will approach a situation will never been looked on well by the others." She looked at him again, already knowing that she may have made her words more personal than she might have needed to. However, her eyes were focused as she looked back to him. "But because you ask, I will stay with them for now and see if I can see things differently."
It wasn't long after their spar that Nicademus had left to be at the head of the campaign in the Unknown Regions. While gone, she found herself looking out from the balcony in her room, just waiting for him to return. But when he had returned, she saw nothing of him as he kept himself locked away in his office. No one was seen coming and going by what she could tell, meaning something had been on his mind that kept him from interacting with anyone.
After a week, she was surprise to hear the summon for the Imperial Knights. They hadn't been utilized since the Empire was disbanded, not even as bodyguards as they had been on Kuat. It was the new Knight of Ren who was called up and saw the action as the sword of the order. It had been weeks and all the Imperial Knights did was train and waste the time away. But perhaps they would finally be of use. in this Anya hoped, for doing nothing did little in helping her keep to her words of trying to stick with the Knights.
She entered the tower dressed in the more commonly wore green tunic. She felt it suited her better than her other outfits. Perhaps it was the way it went with her hair and eyes, the types of things girls always thought on. Upon each leg was a folded up chakram and a single lightsaber hilt hung from each side of her belt. Seeing Nicademus, she walked up beside him, but said nothing for the moment. She didn't know what to say to him as it had been some time since she had seen him and the last time she did, her words had portrayed her personal feelings a bit. For now, she simply waited for the others who were summoned to arrive.

Having been so long on the battlefield, Faina has found it difficult to adjust to the differences in the pace and occupations of her life when off it; even a week spent in the Tower of the Imperial Knights not enough to lift her general feeling of being out of place, and out of her element. The fact that the Tower and its occupants are both new and unfamiliar to her does little to to make Faina feel any less displaced, and her grim reticence and disinclination to cast aside the solitude that she has grown accustomed to after operating largely alone in the field have all but ensured that Faina's chances of ever feeling as though the Tower is a haven to her will remain slim.
Entering the room where Nicademus has requested those Imperial Knights he has summoned to gather in, Faina gives Nicademus and the young woman beside him a silent nod of greeting before walking to a back corner of the room to await the arrival of the others who will be joining the gathering to learn why their Supreme Commander has called them together. As she begins to wait, Faina adjusts the straps of her right red cortosis gauntlet, frowning when she notes the scratches marring the gauntlet's surface; a reminder of the work she has yet to complete on repairing the damage that has been done to her armor in recent battles.

Panno had actually enjoyed the down time. It seemed like his life was just a conga line of battles, moving from one to the next with very little down time. It had given him the chance to work on the armour of the Imperial Knights. Make new suits, repair others. Time had passed like a dream for him. The rhythmic banging of his hammer, the heat from the forges and the constant ache of his muscles. It was nice.
Sure there had been that brief time on the train but even that didn't seem real. He hadn't really even been involved seeing as the car he had been on was unhooked from the body of the train. He had spent several days with a Country loving rat. It was a nice holiday.
Still rubbing the dirt and soot off his knuckles as he entered the room where he was supposed to meet Nicademus he looked around at the occupants. Good ole Anya; always by Delvaraduss' side. Then there was Faina. The woman had joined weeks before himself and since then she had always been on the fringes fighting the Empires wars. Standing beside her he watched as she fretted over the damaged gauntlets.
If it bothers you so much I can buff it out pretty easily.
Looking at the gauntlets more closely he couldn't tell who made them. The weren't his, and they didn't belong to Finnick. They were an older model. Although the basis of the gauntlets changed each smith had their own unique style and this style hadnt been used for a few generations of armourers. They would fair with the best of them despite their age.

Faina looks up from her pensive examination of her gauntlet when she senses as much as sees someone approaching and then stopping beside her, the frown on her lips replaced by the hint of a smile when she sees Panno, the Dressellian a welcome, familiar face amidst the sea of new faces here in the Tower that is equally new to her.
"Panno, Faina says warmly despite the fact her expression has resumed its customary somewhat blank stoicism. Rubbing with a thumb at one particularly deep scratch on her right gauntlet, which was once worn - as was the rest of her armor - by her mother, Faina looks up from it to the Dressellian armorer and says, I'd appreciate that very much. Actually, she amends her statement with her lips pursed in thought as an idea occurs to her, maybe you could teach me how to do that myself? I can handle repairing the odd dent so long as it isn't too deep, Faina continues in a rare moment of what passes for her as chattiness, or scorch mark, but scratches are beyond my ability to repair."

With most of the more senior and veteran Imperial Knights present, the Supreme Commander would step forth and key a holodisplay to activate. The room would be dimmed, only illuminated by the blue glow of the holoprojector. Quietly, the Imperial keyed a few buttons on the console before inserting a datachip into a receiver. Within seconds, a zoomed map of the galaxy would expand and cover the meeting area. The map was focused on a peculiar sector of the galaxy, known to all Imperials infamously, as the Maw.
The Maw is infamous within galactic history as the location for the Death Star prototype and where much of the first Death Star was constructed. It was an almost unnavigable cluster of black holes that were practically on Kessel's doorstep. This made it a prime location for an Imperial research installation to be constructed. There was also a lone colony built by the Imperials under Nataasi Daala and also served as the ideal location for the Shelter, a space station used by the Jedi Order during the Yuuzhan Vong War. It seemed like an ideal reason for why the Supreme Commander had called for a meeting, yet there was much more to this.
The Maw is known to house a data library containing all sorts of experiments conducted by the Imperial Department of Military Research. Much of this cluster of black holes and its facility have been abandoned however for decades, save the stranded colony within the grip of these black holes. Its value is prized by Imperials as well as its treasure trove of data.
The Imperial then keys up two data files. One appeared to be on the background of an Imperial warlord; male and native to Eriadu. It was the Supreme Commander's ancestor, Sander Delvardus, who was an Imperial Captain and, later, warlord of the Eriadu Authority, a splinter faction of the Galactic Empire after the death of Palpatine. The second file was a very detailed profile involving all sorts of technical specs. At the very top was the image of a gargantuan Executor-class Super Star Destroyer. The illuminated designation for this warship was the Night Hammer or Knight Hammer.
Recent intel, collected by a network of scientists and our top technicians, have found traces of a blueprint to the Knight Hammer within the Maw Installation. It is of vital importance due to its unique technological specs. This 19,000 meter vessel had a highly advanced automated command system and black stealth armor. The ship fell into the hands of Nataasi Daala after she murdered Sander Delvardus at Tsoss Beacon. She would even steal the blueprints from his possessions and block the Delvardus family from these blueprints for decades... until now.
The Imperial's gaze turned to all those present; Panno, Faina, Anya, and others all who had served him for a long time and had been the most experienced of the Imperial Knights. He calmly gestures to the profile of the Knight Hammer and then to the Maw Installation.
Your mission is simple... retrieve these blueprints for the First Order as well as other data that will prove vital to our expansion and future. This rich deposit of data will be of much aid to the future of our technological advancement and ensuring that we are always a step ahead of our enemies, present and future.

I can handle repairing the odd dent so long as it isn't too deep, Faina continues in a rare moment of what passes for her as chattiness, or scorch mark, but scratches are beyond my ability to repair." Hopefully there will be a chance to fix it before we do whatever Delvaradus wants of us. Despite the mans urging it still felt wrong to call him by name. To him he was Emperor, The General, Supreme Commander. Not Nicademus.
Before he could say anything else the presentation begins. Tucking away the rag Panno folds his arms and watched the display. Although he had never been to The Maw he had heard of it. Everyone had. Once the records had be declassified and people learned about the place many had tried to learn its secrets. However those black holes had claimed the lives of thousands. Checking out the blue prints he couldnt help but notice one was called Knight Hammer. A fitting name for a ship that will be brought back by the Imperial Knights. Sir, I hope this isn't some sort of personal crusade. Sander was your ancestor and a slight against him is not a slight against you. Although he did have doubt about this mission it wasn't about the reasoning. It was how vague it was. The more planned out something is the less chance of a situation arising they hadn't thought up. Go here and get information was open to a lot of interpretation. It had a lot of open ends and a lot of unknowns.

* Aeryn stands calmly in the back of the room and listens to Nicademus as he goes over the mission for the Imperial Knights. Aeryn was glad to go to work for sense he had arrived on Muunilist things had been rather dull. After the General finishes, Aeryn thinks to himself, strange that the Knights where being summoned for an intelligence mission. Something else was at play here. Taking a step forward Aeryn partially raises his hand then speaks to Nicademus*
" My Lord, if I may... how many of us will you be sending on this mission? Are we going to have any storm troopers attached to us and lastly, if we meet resistance would you have us capture or kill ? "

Faina nods when Panno points out that there may or may not be time to look after her armor before whatever Nicademus has called them here to do gets underway. Not long after their brief exchange, Faina and Panno find their attention turning to the briefing the Supreme begins, describing the mission he intends to task the Imperial Knights with.
Like, she imagines, everyone in the room, Faina is relatively familiar with both The Maw and Maw Installation; though she herself had not been aware of the fact Nicademus had a personal connection to the Installation via an ancestor that had been murdered by Admiral Daala, who then acquired the very ship Nicademus is sending the Imperial Knights to retrieve the blueprints for, along with any other data that might prove useful to the First Order.
An Imperial Knight Faina does not recognize asks some of the questions that spring to Faina's mind - how many Imperial Knights are to be sent, whether they will have any support in the form of Stormtroopers, and how any resistance they might encounter is to be dealt with - and so, crossing her arms over her chest, she remains silent for the time being, waiting for Nicademus to fill in the answers to those questions and any others that might be asked. Faina, patient as well as taciturn by nature, has often found that, when one remains quiet, answers to questions they might have are quite often provided when others with similar questions ask them.

Sir, I hope this isn't some sort of personal crusade. Sander was your ancestor and a slight against him is not a slight against you. The Supreme Commander turns his attention immediately to Panno who speaks first. He was among the few who willingly to speak openly and plainly at Nicademus. There were those who followed protocol and there were those who were more direct; the Imperial respect both kinds of people. He gestures calmly at the Knight Hammer before replying to the Imperial Knight's master armorer.I am surprised by your remark, Panno. Nonetheless it is a good question. This is no personal crusade of mine; the actions of Sander Delvardus do not reflect upon me nor does the murder by a woman who has long since died off mean anything to me. No, this is about gaining a boon not just for me personally, but for the First Order." My Lord, if I may... how many of us will you be sending on this mission? Are we going to have any storm troopers attached to us and lastly, if we meet resistance would you have us capture or kill ? " The resources of this mission will be minor compared to the recent Unknown Region campaigns. The command ship will be the Anvilbreaker, one of the Vindicator-class heavy cruisers from my personal fleet. Two escort craft will be with it; a pair of Raider-class Corvettes. The Supreme Commander changes the data available to them by pulling up a display of the Anvilbreaker and the two escort vessels that were currently in orbit over Muunilist. Below that was a small list of forces being deployed for this mission. Nicademus calmly indicates the list with a slight gesture of his hand before speaking further. There will be a total of 400 personnel that shall participate on this mission. Two hundred Stormtroopers of the 21st Legion, One hundred Shocktroopers of the Praetorian Group, fifty Storm Commandos of the Viper Assault Battalion and fifty Imperial Knights. The Imperial Knights will be split into five groups of ten, each led by an experienced member of the Knights.

Anya simply listened as Nicademus went on about the mission they would be undertaking. Not once did her gaze shift from the holoprojector. Everything that was being said clearly made its way into her mind as she processed the questions and answers. She stayed quiet, however, as there was nothing to ask. While many wanted to know the details and many simply waited for others to ask, it didn't matter to Anya. It was a mission and her mind was already prepping itself.
As she had told Nicademus during their spar, she approached things differently than the Knights and this was one such case. She was given the mission, but had no concerns about accompanying soldiers, possible resistance, or if this was personal. She would approach everything as it came, ready for all outcomes. She had no issues jumping into a fight if need be, and what was worse, and she knew it, going in without others with her. The fighting style of the Knights that focused on teamwork had not enough time to undo all the years spent training with only her father.

* Aeryn listens to Nicademus as he answers his questions. With amount of resources the General is putting behind this mission there was to be no mistake that if resistance was encountered, it is to be known that is the First Order they are dealing with. Aeryn though accustomed to operating alone during his Shadow missions with the Jedi, fully supports Nicademus's move on this. It does't take much for the galaxy to forget, and making your presence known throughout all reaches of space makes sure other powers keep themselves in check.
