Honoghr: Colosseum de L'Ange Tombe
This massive amphitheater, near the Spaceport in Nystao, was built using the plans of ancient builders, found on holocrons uncovered in the Rakatan Temple. The Honoghr government wished to pay tribute to those that had come before them, and by using these designs, they built this structure, using modern construction techniques and materials. The elliptical building is immense, measuring 388m by 356m and reaching a height of more than 60 meters. The Colosseum can accommodate some 550,000 spectators who could enter the building through no less than 80 entrances. Above the ground are six stories.
Below the ground, under the actual arena floor, were rooms with mechanical devices and equipment, to provide for the most interesting combat, or sporting event, possible. The huge amphitheater was built on the site of a hot-spring-fed lake, which gave the ability to flood the lower levels of the actual amphitheater floor, should the games require it. Duelists will enter from double doors on either side of the arena, in the middle of the massive complex.
If there is no clear winner by the time thirty (30) posts is reached, the floor drops out of the arena, and the duelists are fed to the Gooberfish that are lying in wait for their meal in the water below. This ends the duel, as the Gooberfish are too hungry not to win out in the end.

Weapons: one curved golden lightsaber, phrik hilt, pure cortosis guard, modified for quick blade shut off. Powers: (Telekinesis, Burst, Shockwave) Armor: None, save for twin phrik gauntlets on his arms.
The chanting of the crowd, the boom of fanfare and music. Dandleion Wryte slowly walked out the double doors into the arena greater, Suregrip climbing boots and fingerless gloves, green cloth trousers and dark green long sleeved tunic - his blonde hair waved in the wind, and his topaz eyes narrowed against the sudden light. In his right hand, he held his lightsaber, its pommel a smooth rounded piece of metal, its phrik hilt a stained green in color. On his arms, shining chromium plated phrik gauntlets.
He had been invited here, with little reason given - quickly, they ushered him into a room and stripped him of most his weapons and armor, before ushering him out between two double doors. And now...they expected him to fight. Whatever. His thumb hitting his blades ignition, a golden blade streaked into existence - the main blade, normal length, complementing the cortosis guard of his weapon nicely. A fencers weapon, he flourished the blade briefly, testing it, then nodded in satisfaction.
Shaking his head, he raised his arms to the crowd, drawing in on the force heavily - knowing a terrible fight had to be ahead. "Did someone call...for a hero?" The crowd roared in response, and at that exact instant Dand's theme music came on - You're the best, by Joe Esposito. Dropping his center of gravity by bending his knees slightly, Dand held the blade by its balance, the slight curve of the hilt resting in his palm, and assumed a fencers stance.
He was ready.

-One ultrachrome-hilted lightsaber, no armor, no extra gear -Force powers listed on profile Why was he home??
This was the Colosseum de L'Ange Tombe...but he shouldn't be here....This had been home for so many years...and he had left to protect the ones he loved. So much of his blood soaked the soil here, that the planet was family. Everything he had loved was here...and it had fallen away in the wake of the Mandalorian War. Skylar had given all of it up, just to keep it safe. His family was here...his love, his children. They needed to be protected...not only from outside forces, but from the Arkanian himself. The darkness was rising within him, and he was unable to stem the tide of Bogan's onslaught.
It had cost him...so very dearly. Just being here was tearing out his very soul.It was obvious that he had been brought here, ironically enough, to fight for Honoghr yet again. This time, however, there was something different about her champion. This time, he carried a different lightsaber, and his aura was far darker. War changes a person...and it had most certainly taken its toll upon the one that used to be known as Adieumus Matango. His very core had been shattered, broken...and it had formed again into something far, far different. Where once a beacon of light stood, it was now a murky, gray amalgam of power...
But no less dangerous. He kicked the toes of his Air Force Ones against the ground, and made sure they were laced tightly to his feet. Closing his blue eyes, Skylar took a deep breath, and cleared his mind. There was no crowd. There was no Honoghr around him. Icey wasn't a few short blocks away, nor were E`ya and Lukas.
There was only Skylar, the Force, and whoever else came into the arena. That person would not leave here whole.
The doors swung open, and he stepped out into the familiar light. The other man was already there, showboating for the crowd. Hero? Psh...he was just a prettyboy with a flashy lightstick....not to mention the blade color matched his hair? Seriously? Who did this guy think he was, Adi from ten years ago? This guy didn't know what showboating was. Maybe after this little scrap was over, he could show this kid what showboating was....
...He was, after all, on his home turf.
Closing with his opponent, Skylar stopped about 20 feet away. He looked at the man's flashy lightsaber hilt. It was like his gauntlets...Pretty, ergonomical, and very shiny. He studied it for a few moments, noticing the way the hilt curved, the way the man's thumb was placed on the ignition....and the creases around it. Even a smooth hilt has panels, lines, and places where the weapon was put together.
There is an ability taught to those building their first lightsaber...assembling it using the Force It's a basic TK ability, but it requires skill and concentration. It's required, that is, if you are trying to put together a working lightsaber. However, if you apply that very same technique in reverse...and you -aren't- trying to be careful so the darn thing works...well, that's a lot easier...not to mention, it can be done far more rapidly. The studying of the weapon had a purpose...to see roughly where the thing joined together....
...So it could be ripped to pieces in the blink of an eye.
Throwing open his right hand, Skylar attempted to tear the weapon apart at the seams. It was time to show this pretty boy what becomes of heroes when they have done the gig for too long. His eyes never left his opponent, keeping the man in his line of sight, should he try anything fancy. Flashy or not, he had the look of someone who knew how to handle himself in battle.

Dand had been standing in his ready stance as his opponent exited - he had, also, already been storing force power. Not much, granted, but enough. His opponent closing the distance between them, Dand walked backwards and to the side, keeping the distance between them. As he walked, Dand fell further into the force, focusing on the man's body. Preparing. As the man's hand flung itself forward, he felt the trembling in the force, felt his saber shaking in response; the danger was immediately apparent, insofar that it was an attack on his weapon itself. Sneaky. Very sneaky. But...turnabout was fair play.
Every force user - well, every one of any skill - knew his weapon like a lover; he was connected to the weapon, resonated with his weapon through the force. This made focussing on the weapon, even sensing changes in the weapon, much easier. Feasibly, Dand could apply telekinesis of the same strength and power, wrapping it in a shell around the hilt, in order to cancel out the attack. Power to power, will to will, a tug of war over whether it broke apart or not. But, unfortunately, Dandleion was trained to respond to such quick attacks with equally harsh strikes of his own - rather than playing the defensive. Responding to Adi's sudden hand motion, ignoring his saber, Dand's own hand flung up in response a hair second after Adi. His focus already on the man's body, Dand stretched the force towards his opponent, and, with a quick twisting motion, attempted to apply a firm rotating (IE; twisting) force grip to Adi's person.
To his testicles no less.
It took no more than a mere pound of pressure, twisting the testicles on the spermatic cord, to cause testicular torsion. Damaging the cord would result in swelling, bruising, reduced blood flow, and absolute blinding pain - comparable to being kicked non-stop in the balls. Torsion was far more effective - pain and implementation wise - than merely striking the testes, and, indeed, was taught in several high level martial arts programs. Such as Stava, the art Dandleion had learned and mastered during his time as Captain of the guard. Now, with Adi's focus already on Dand's saber - which even now trembled and was sliding apart a the plates - his ability to block Dand's own attack would be severely hampered.
Adi could have Dand's saber - but, he would have to pay. With his balls no less.

Well now, that was a rather unpleasant tingle....
So not only was he a prettyboy, but he had a thing for testicles, too? At least he wasn't a -total- copycat. He -was- however, starting something on Skylar's balls. The Arkanian knew that familiar feeling as a force attack was being enacted, as the tendrils of invisible power reached out toward him....and on the testicles? One of the most sensitive areas of a man's body? It was most certainly a signal to release the saber...It wasn't working out as planned anyway, as the weapon seemed to be crafted better than expected.
It would be gone soon enough. Right now, save the balls.....
As he felt the force just begin to take hold, Skylar snapped two fingers out on his left hand. He wasted no motion this time by bringing up the arm...he merely snapped out the index and middle fingers. As he did this, he stared straight into the eyes of his opponent, piercing the man's gaze with his own...and hopefully the force attack that the fingers had just launched at the man's eyes. In essence, this was a force eye poke...meant to break the concentration, and line of sight, before he could completely rip Skylar's balls off. If this one landed, it would be like having Skylar jam his fingers into the other man's eyes. Granted, having the attack fail beforehand would make it less effective than normal, but it should be enough to get Skylar's balls free of the impending windmill vice grip of the hero wannabe. He just hoped he acted quickly enough to keep them where they were....
....He would be needing those someday soon, hopefully....

The damage had been done - Dand's saber slipping apart more than breaking apart, the golden blade stuttered out of existence. But Dand was transfixed on his target - staring at the man's crotch as he was, he didn't, nay, COULDN'T have seen the man's eyes staring into his own - he couldn't see what the man was targeting. But, what he did see, was the man's hands - low this time instead of brought up - and the two fingers the man flicked. They served as but the barest warning of the impending attack, and allowed Dand, somewhat, to brace himself against the eye poke that came his way.
Telekinetic fingers jammed into his eyes, Dand cringed and flinched, breaking his line of sight, and breaking the grip attack on Adi's testicles. Ultimately, though...it was the wrong move to make. At least, in regards to Dand; there were two factors that worked supremely in Dandleion's favor after all. The first was martial training - the quick and efficient Stava as taught by the Nohgri, taught how to fight when blinded or similarly incapacitated; they taught how to counteract this by channeling the pain of injury into strength for the next attack, to use that pain to push through the incapacitation, to push through and ATTACK. This same philosophy, this same cutthroat training could be applied to the force arts as well. Now, if Dand was a true blue Jedi, Adi would have nothing to worry about in this regard - a Jedi, after all, didn't use anger, hate, and pain to fuel his attacks.
But...Dandleion wasn't a true blue Jedi. Which brought us to number two; he was a gray Jedi - and, accordingly, used pain especially (over hate or jealousy, due to their potentially corruptive nature) to fuel some attacks in a pinch. A pinch like this one. Such as it was that Dand's grip broke, his gaze flinched and lowered - then it snapped right back to Adi's crotch; swallowing the pain down, consuming it, Dand converted the stimulus into power - projecting that power as a renewed force grip, more specifically, an (attempted) completion of the testicular torsion - doubled in power than his initial attack.
Gripping his saber in his right hand, the pieces rattling around and threatening to spill out, Dand had to nevertheless squint against the tears in order to see. This being so, his vision would be blurry and tear filled for the next few moments, potentially leaving him open to a more physical attack.
OOC NOTE: Realized that my last post did not adequately explain that the attack on my saber was successful. Rectified this in my post.

Oh, thank all the powers that be....the grip was gone almost as soon as Skylar popped the eye poke. Now, there was only one thing to do...
Move. Now.
Knowing that more abuse was more than likely on its way, Skylar put his feet to the ground as fast as he could. He ran to his right, circling so he could keep his left arm facing the Jedi. Skylar knew he had to get at least in the man's tear-filled peripheral vision before he could try to throw some kind of strike.
His eyes were on his opponent, but Skylar couldn't help but notice the people in the background, screaming and cheering for the Jedi. This was the same crowd that once cheered for -him-...every time he stepped into this arena. My, my...how times change. At one time, this crowd's emotions had put the one known as Adi on an emotional high. Now, they just added to his growing anger. It had started as anger at the showboat pretty boy trying to tear off his balls. It had now progressed into anger at the fact that the Jedi Order had driven him to become what he was. That anger? It began to fuel a blistering hatred....A hatred of this man...of this crowd...Of the sheer fact he was in the one place in the Universe that he did not want to be. Add in the fact that he knew his children, the woman he cared so deeply about, they were so close...yet, he dared not go near them. His love for them further fueled the hatred that was now burning in his very soul.
All of these raw, seething emotions fueled Skylar's steps, propelling him forward, and in at his opponent. Skylar was not putting the force into his steps, knowing that full-on force speed would tire him too quickly. He would need to continue to be cautious. As he hit about his fifth step, he tossed a pair of quick projected jabs at the man's perfect chin, just to keep the guy off balance. That chiseled piece of manliness really needed redecorating...no one should be allowed to be that good looking. Projected fighting, inadvertently taught to Skylar by Dace Concordia over the many fights they had endured, was one of his most perfected abilities. Pretty much any physical blow that Skylar could throw in close range he could toss at range.
And now -this- pompous ass was standing in his way of getting the hell off this jungle rock? Oh, no...that wasn't gonna happen. The rage in his heart built further, and a low growl escaped the former Jedi Master's throat. He threw two more projected left punches, one at the man's face again, and one lower, aimed to catch the man in the side of his left knee. These attacks, if the other man would see them, would appear that Skylar was shadowboxing as he ran. To someone not familiar with the technique, it would look odd...
To someone that was? Unless they knew a way to counter it? It could prove terrifying.
His circling run had, (unless Dandleion had moved away) brought Skylar to within ten feet of his opponent now. It wouldn't take much more to close the gap, and finish this fight for good. He had to leave here before something bad happened to someone that he cared about.

He threw his power...and...he was gone. "Shit." Dand muttered under his breath, blinking rapidly, as he backpedaled across the arena floor, trying to keep his distance. Canceling the power as fast as he could, conserving as much energy as possible, Dand's hands moved in a blur over his lightsaber - the casing discarded, the energy cell was rammed into the crystal housing, the emitter matrix inverted and similarly attached, the diatium core following. It was a rush job, and it showed - as the first two jabs struck Dand, his thumb hit the ignition stud - and the hilt sparked a single time before emitting a high pitched whine. "Damn it! I can still club you!"
He had to continue the ruse. He had to continue the feints and ploys. His master had been Zeison Sha - it was why Dandleion was so talented in Telekinesis. He had, unfortunately, also been the one to teach Dand Stava - the projected fighting was thus nothing new. But Dand took the first two punches anyway (on account of his eyesight), taking in the pain, taking in the force, adding it to the force of pain from the eye poke. Between the man's first punches, and his second round of punches, Dand took his collected energy, wrapped it around the saber, and then THREW the saber straight at Adi's head, having gained the man back in sight as he ran backward and assembled his blade-less saber. Using the force to guide the saber in mid air, it was essentially a saber throw without the blade turned on.
It was but a distraction. A guided distraction with a very firm force grip, that even now sailed towards Adi's head as he ran forward - but a distraction. Letting his arm continue the throwing motion, he brought his right arm behind his back, turned slightly to the side, dropped his weight to his knees, and assumed a classic stava pose. The man's growl warned him of the next two attacks, and Dand's left arm, whose shoulder was now pointed at towards Adi, moved in a blur - his left hand snapped up and to the side in a cross block, deflecting the invisible blow to the head. Well, kind of - it had admittedly been a while since he had blocked TK attacks with his own body. The blow clipped Dand, but otherwise didn't make the saber waver in the air. Continuing the block in a clockwise motion, he brought his arm down in a downward diagonal block, this time with far better results - blocking the hit to his leg completely.
The saber was unguarded, what, without its phrik layer. It could be caught, cut at, any number of things - Dand didn't care. So long as Adi didn't see what his right hand was doing (hidden from view as it was) he could care less.

Well, well, well....the prettyboy took the jabs, but blocked the second two punches nicely. That didn't mean anything...it was just giving Skylar more time to close with the now-retreating enemy. Skylar could feel the tempo of the fight shifting, and knew that he had to press the advantage. He slowed a bit, down to a fast walk, continuing to circle, trying to tighten the distance.
Then, the wannabe screamed something, and went into motion to throw the malfunctioning saber at Skylar. Oh no...that poodoo wouldn't fly.
This time, it would take a bit more precision. His eyes were focused on the lightsaber hilt in the pompous ass' hand. As it left said hand, Skylar continued the projected fighting attack, throwing a straight left, this time planting his left foot to put more into the attack. This punch was intended to send the soon-to-be offending hilt right back into the face of the Jedi. Not waiting to see what happened, Skylar stepped forward with his right leg, and threw a heavy right handed projected attack at his opponent's neck, right below the ear, where the jawbone connected. He stepped forward again, this time with his left. He followed the step with another solid punch straight at the man's midsection. Following these punches, he swept his right foot forward, almost touching the ground, and projected an attack to sweep the man's ankles out from under him.
The attacks were co-ordinated to be rapid in their deployment...one right after the other as soon as the saber hilt started to be thrown. The attacks were again, two-fold....hopefully closing the gap even more between the two of them.

The attack would not be broken. Dand had invested too much energy into the force grip to have the hilt sent back into is face - the punch, connecting with the hilt, made it spin on an invisible axis, but, otherwise, the saber continued forward; albeit somewhat unstably. Dand used this to his advantage, gesturing with his right hand, behind his back, making the weapon spin, juke, and lunge towards his enemies chest. Unpredictable, and unlikely to be hit again. The man would have to deal with it directly.
Meanwhile, Dand's arm waved frantically. His left arm coming across in a vertical block to deflect the strike to his neck, then a shuffling step backward and to his right - with a simultaneous sweeping downward block to deflect the punch to his midsection. As the man's foot lashed out, Dand automatically jumped backward into the air over the strike, his legs coming down scant seconds later. Projected fighting was a good move, but it only allowed for striking - not the joint locks and holds and leverage of actual fighting. More than simple projected strikes would be needed to take out Dandleion - who was far more talented with a fist and the force than he was with a blade.
All the while, Dand retreated, keeping that twenty foot distance between them. All the while, Dand poured the force into the hilt, stubbornly wanting his saber to do at least a LITTLE good. Inwardly, though, Dand knew he would have to soon go on the offensive. Soon. very, very soon.

So he wanted to keep that lightsaber coming....that only meant one thing...it wasn't just a saber toss to hit Skylar...the shore-bound cabin-boy here was going to definitely do something more with it. That couldn't be allowed. Corr Vhett had been on the receiving end of something very similar, done by Skylar. It was an attempt to blow the saber hilt up....which caused a pretty big pop.
Couldn't risk that, not right now.
Watching as the saber danced in the air, it was definitely apparent that the man was trying to keep Skylar from using projected fighting to hit it again. Fine...if he didn't want it punched, maybe a nice, solid force push would send it right back at it's owner...maybe even knock said owner down in the process...and that is exactly what Skylar did.
Not waiting for the hilt to get too close, Skylar threw both hands out in front of him, and launched a force push that would have been heavy enough to knock someone over. This was to stop the saber from getting close enough to do any kind of damage, just in case it was going to explode. Possibly, if he didnt move, it would hit the prettyboy too. Skylar then juked left a couple of steps, and moved in a little more quickly, stepping up his pace so that he was just above a jog. He needed to close the gap....this projected stuff would tire him out far too rapidly.

The saber floated through the air towards the man - and Dand waited and watched for the inevitable counterattack. Hopefully through the force. As the man threw up both his hands - Dand knew his moment had come. Flinging himself to his right, Dand hit the ground in a roll, before coming up to his feet - as he did so, he nudged the saber through the force, hitting the blades activation stud. With an bluish actinic flash, the saber vaporized between the pair, and Dand, expecting the flash, closed his eyes to prevent himself from being blinded. The blast was smaller than usual, no doubt due to the rush job - but would do the trick.
The idea was for the man to keep his focus on the blade...and when he used the force to react to the blade, to detonate it to confuse and disorient. To confuse and disorient; because at the exact instant the saber flashed out of existence, and the exact instant Dand's feet hit the ground, Dandleion reversed tactics completely; going from defensive to offensive, Dand's feet dug into the duracrete ground - and he MOVED. Like a flash, with the legendary sheer speed that gave Stava users the ability to dodge blaster bolts, Dand ran straight towards the man - who, with any luck, was mildly disoriented. Closing the distance with the man, Dand began to store power (1 post), preparing himself for one on one combat.
