Ander, the Estate isn't near the city. It's like an hour away out in the countryside. We have no one in the city. They would have been evacuated already. Evac's were completely off world as Taung likes to blow planets up. It would have made no sense to evac people to planetside. Kuat City is deserted. It's why there are no objectives for the city. That's why I had originally scrapped the idea of interacting there, inside the city. But three things brought the idea back to mind. First: Adi and I need to have an awesome fight. Two: The forces Gulliver has at his disposal alone are simply too much for GALSAF to face head on. He's set up a death trap out there, and even if we don't know IC about the nukes and all that stuff straight off the bat, we'd be able to see enough of it flying in to know that place needs to be avoided. And Gulliver already mentioned to you he did post forces inside the city. Three: Just because the city's been evacuated, doesn't mean it's not going to be checked by friendly forces to ensure there are no threats hidden there. Plus, it makes a solid anchoring point between our forces in orbit and the ones on the surface, allowing us to transport personnel, supplies, etc. It'll be a sort of checkpoint between the surface and orbit. Also, an hour away from the Estate is not a big deal. Any attacking force would primarily be concerned with establishing a position of operations, and the city is a much better position than say….the middle of Gulliver's minefield out in the open plains.  So, objectives or not, the city's a smart place to be. lol Don't worry though, Sin. We can take care of the Estate with a strafing run from low altitude cruisers, how about? Just drop an Imperial-II SD on top of that shield, let the weight of the thing crush it. Hahaha |

The objectives are OOC information. Mando forces will know where the drive yards are but not where the extra generators are located. The Estate of the Ten location would be known but not where the generator is.

I have to argue the point about the shipyard generators, and not just because I already revised my post and am lazy. lol But Taung H'rel already has scouts in the system, and those scouts ought to be plenty capable of detecting the energy emitted by the shield generators on the shipyards. Maybe not their exact location, but the approximate sectors they're located in. I can easily re-revise my post to reflect our boys going in and having the wrong intel on two of the generators. They'd only be off by one sector or so, but that can be all one needs to get their defending forces down those hallways. Obviously, even knowing the section of the station a generator is in isn't good enough. There's a dozen different levels on each of these sections of the shipyards, hundreds of rooms, hallways, repair bays, etc and so forth. The place is a damn city! So I get that it will take time and detail getting there, I'm down with that. You should read my posts on Ossus with Delmani, Sinistra, you'd enjoy the effort put in there.  |

I sent a message back to Sinistra icly in response to the transmission, but I'm not sure where to post it up.
I've also attempted to activate the shield generator's auto defense mechanisms. I didn't write what they were. Waiting for those details to be flushed.

Just to let you folks know, I'll be doing what I can to respond to your posts, though I will be doing it in the order of posting. So right now I'm typing up a monster for Taung, as I kinda promised him one last night. Everyone else will get a response afterwards, so I wanted to apologize for any inconvenience that may come from the boring gap between post times. Hopefully I don't leave you hanging for too long.
