Lakehouse - Kitchen
Feeling the squeeze on her shoulder from Elika, Crystal smiled at her friend gratefully once again. It was comforting for her to be with dear friends right now, who always seemed to manage to lift Crystal's mood up. She was grateful for their presence, thankful for their support and last but not least, just indebted to them. Simple as that. When standing up from the stool though, she looked at Lily first with wide eyes when her childhood friend declared that they should probably upgrade their drink and before she could comment on that, Elika made a joke which caused her to chuckle and shake her head until that chuckle turned into a laughter because of Lily this time. "You are both impossible, just so you know." Waving a hand to indicate that the two of them should deal with one another for the time being, Crystal noticed that Lily had been taking some shot glasses...
Now Crystal really had a bad feeling about that.
Lakehouse - Gardens
Whereas that sentiment about having a bad feeling about Lily's choice of drink was a joke, this feeling when she laid her eyes on her brother, it was a genuine one. Ryan looked so serious when she got closer to him after he told her that he had just received a message from Ares. At first she thought that something had happened to her other brother, and her stomach did a somersault at that thought but when she picked up the comlink as per Ryan's instruction, she took a deep breath and listened to the message clearly from their brother.
There was relief to begin with, but then that relief shifted to worry but also confusion. Putting the comlink back down onto the table she closed her eyes briefly to take a deep breath. Perhaps she was making a big deal out of that message and perhaps she was expecting the worse, but if Ryan who was here present was reacting the way he was now, and obviously he knew Ares better than she, then there must have been something wrong. Sighing softly as she sat back down on the seat there, she brought up her legs and wrapped her arms around them before looking at Ryan.
"Let me get this straight," Crystal started to say as she took a deep breath again to try and control that anxiety welling up in her. "You and I haven't heard from him in a while, and now he needs to speak with us, here, face to face?" It was a rhetorical statement, that went without saying, and Ryan was under no obligation to reply to that. Crystal found the whole day already nerve racking but this matter with Ares just added more to the pile of worries she had to think about. Only she didn't want to worry about something that she didn't comprehend just yet especially with what was happening with the Vyridian twins, and now she had her own set of worries to think about. Just what she clearly needed right now! Urgh.

Franz was glad that Ares had reached out, at least that would allow for not only Crystal but also Ryan to be at ease, but the facial expression from his cousin said that he might have been conflicted, then again Franz was no mind reader and he wasn't about to find out how his cousin was feeling currently. So all he did right now was to nod and just hope inside of him that Ares wasn't coming here bearing bad news or anything of that sort.
"At least that answers your questions about his whereabouts," Franz tried to see the silver lining for everyone, or at least he was hoping to alleviate the mood at least, but it looked like it wasn't a matter that would be in his favor especially when Crystal soon listened to that said message from her other brother and she looked downright unsettled. At least that was what he assumed with her rhetorical statement right now, and again he didn't even try to get a reading on her but he knew that the added matter was definitely more than enough reason for him to send another holomessage to Atlantis and let him know that if only he was soon available then he should make his way back here, but considering that he was with some people right now at the Academy, Franz couldn't really tell him to wrap up that talk right about now because that was rude, so he just left the message at that.
Whenever he was able...
"At least you can take comfort in the fact that Ares is safe, right?" It was a wild guess as Franz did not hear Ares' tone at all, but since his cousin had been the one to reach out, then Franz could only assume that Ares was well despite what he wanted to speak about with his siblings...

Forcing a smile as Lily banters cheerfully, Elikapeka chuckles dryly when Lily finds the namana and proposes that they make Crystal have a shot, or two or three or more, instead of having Lily model her bikinis, lifting a hand to gesture towards Lily with a flourish while saying, "I like option number two beautiful, make it so. Her earlier good mood has been replaced by a heavy sense of foreboding; not unlike knowing that a heavy storm is approaching will cast a shadow over all else, and even though she knows that the euphoria offered by the namana is temporary and false, Elika would prefer that to the present oppressive sense of doom and gloom that has overtaken a day that started with such bright and happy developments. Glancing over a shoulder and frowning worriedly, Elika says uncertainly, Maybe hearing from her brother will be a good thing? If nothing else, at least she knows that he's alright now, right? Sighing and reaching up to remove her spectacles so that she can rub her eyes, Elika sighs again, Or not. Who knows. Cleaning the lenses of her spectacles on the edge of her vest, Elika walks to a cabinet to grab a tray and enough shot glasses for everyone, setting it on the kitchen island near the bottle of namana that Lily had found. Reaching out after turning two shot glasses over, Elika pours a shot for herself while asking Lily, You are joining me, right? We should probably wait a few minutes in case she wants to talk with Ryan, or maybe hit him."

Impossible, nah ... we or I can certainly be worse. But I have to admit that gorgeous does have a point there, perhaps if baby girl does come to hear about her other brother, then there is a chance that Crystal's mood might be lifted. "I have no idea, gorgeous ... Sighing softly because clearly this day has already been a complicated one, and if Ryan needs to speak with his sister about something serious, then ... But either way, we'll be there for her, always."
It is the best thing I can offer, and that I will always offer no matter what and I am very sure that gorgeous feels the same way anyways. Finally putting the bottle down on the kitchen island, I smile playfully at gorgeous before nudging her teasingly. "You know I am, and, Looking towards the garden as clearly I do not want to be in the middle of a boxing match if it comes to that, or maybe just a one sided punching. besides they are all attuned to the Force there and I do not want to be in the middle of that." Making a face at the thought and letting gorgeous pour me some namana, I raise the shot glass clinking mine with hers before downing it.
"Weeesh ... Shivering on the spot and putting the glass onto the tray before closing my eyes briefly to try and focus but nope the first rush always gets to me no matter what until it settles down which is about in a minute or so. Gorgeous, you think it's safe to get back there or something? Looking straight into the gardens to see any facial expression from baby girl, no dice, I am still feeling that sense of euphoria and my gaze isn't focused just yet. Can you see any reaction from her from what Ryan might have told her?"

Truth be told? Ryan had no idea on how to really feel about that whole thing, between what was happening here planetside and what Ares wanted to speak about with he and Crystal. One matter that was already clear as day, the situation which Andros was drawn into, that matter Ryan could perfectly understand it because he had all the details more or less, but that other situation that Ares was bringing with him, Ryan had no clue at all. His fraternal twin seemed deadly serious in his message and if Crystal could come to that conclusion; apprehending that situation, for him that said everything.
Crystal and Ares did know one another that much, something Ryan wouldn't deny at all, but on the scale of things, Ryan knew his brother better, but then again that might have changed, it has been a complete year since he last heard from the man.
"Yes," It was the only thing Ryan could say at present time, it was the only word that had come out of his mouth because he still did not know what to make of that. "I suppose that I can indeed rejoice on the fact that he is fine but something about the tone of his voice unsettled me."
Ryan didn't want to make any assumptions at all, he didn't want to start guessing about those things but with the conversation he just had previously, his sister asking about the others and especially their dad, that really was a matter that shut him off. Ryan would never understand because he was never told a thing and whenever he asked for details he was constantly told that he shouldn't bother at all...
"Crys..." He called out to his sister softly and extended his arm to get a hold of her hand with his own before giving it a gentle squeeze. "We'll get through this." Ryan couldn't promise that but perhaps he should start to try a few things and hopefully it would work out in the end.
But what end exactly? That was the question, one that he actually preferred to not discover more or less...

Still buried in her own thoughts, Crystal was trying to make a sense of it all but she knew that it wasn't tonight that she'd manage to straighten out several things she needed answers to. Answers from other people... Was it really this way she wanted to lead and live her life? She thought that when leaving her home planet and her other place where she had her job back then she'd put all of her worries behind, and now that she was carefully thinking about it? Perhaps she should have never traded all of that if she found herself in this position now. Still though, she couldn't deny the fat that it was on this planet that she had found great friends, that she had found her boyfriend and she still had a little piece of back home in her childhood friend. What Crystal loved about her there wasn't any drama from her and Lily was always the go to person to speak with. Either way this was starting to turn ridiculous, the day was clearly ridiculous and felt like a joke to her but clearly it wasn't for she was here right now with all of those things piling up.
Crystal looked at her brother and Franz who both said that hearing from Ares was a good thing; something she wasn't going to deny at all but like her brother said, the tone of Ares' voice was unsettling.
Squeezing her brother's hand in return, Crystal tried to go for a smile but her heart wasn't into it and it did not quite reach her eyes at all. "I suppose we will, Ry..." One way or the other, right? It wasn't something Crystal wanted to say currently as experience had taught her especially ever since she got to this place, sometimes they had to force their way through issues, diplomatically or not, but right now she only had one wish; for the day to end. "Ry, I need to ask you something..." Crystal started to say as she looked at her brother, there was conflict in her gaze, that much it was clear and she also had a frown.
"I know that you and Virgil never ever got along, I understand the reasoning and I also know that he is at fault for that, but please tell me, have you ever felt that there was something off about him?" Crystal asked dubiously and she knew that it could cover a lot of things when it came to Virgil but she did mean something in particular. "Like he was hiding something that important that always caused him to be away for long periods of time?"

Clinking her shot glass against Lily's with a somewhat forced smile, Elikapeka downs her namana, closing her eyes as she feels the warmth traveling down her throat and into her stomach; the euphoria spreading throughout her along with the warmth is like a shot glass of water tossed onto the crackling flames of the worries and concerns that the day has enkindled, but Elika knows that a few more shots will almost certainly quench those flames for a time, which is why she sets her shot glass down and pushes it towards Lily while saying, "Hit us again beautiful," in a tone meant to sound amusing that probably sounds more tired than anything for now.
Looking over her shoulder to see how things look to be going out by the lounge area by the pool, Elika squints to try and get a clearer picture so she can answer Lily's question, and says uncertainly, "I'm not sure beautiful. They're either having a greeting card moment, or having a serious discussion of some kind. Crystal, in Elika's estimation, doesn't look as relieved as she would have thought she would be upon hearing from her brother who had been out of contact for so long, nor does Ryan look particularly relieved. Guessing from their body language that Crystal and Ryan are engaged in a conversation best left uninterrupted, Elika suggests to Lily, I think we should give them a few more minutes, then frowns as she wonders if it might be better for them if she and Lily simply made themselves scarce for the remainder of the evening. Wanting to be on hand in case Crystal needs her or Lily after Crystal has finished discussing whatever it is she and her brother are discussing, Elika takes a seat on a stool facing the kitchen island and pats the one beside her as she tells Lily, Have a seat beautiful, then grins as she points out, At least we'll have the namana to ourselves until Crystal comes back. If she comes back anyway. Frowning as she clinks her shot glass against Lily's after she re-fills it and hands it to her, Elika says, I'm not sure she'll be in a dancing mood if she comes back, guessing from the look on her face just now. Downing the second shot, Elika closes her eyes and muses aloud, Too bad we can't just fast forward to tomorrow, huh?"

Acquiescing to gorgeous' request and as such refilling our shot glasses with namana, this is usually the part where I toss in a banter or something, but I find myself not in the mood at all because this, this whole thing with baby girl, boss man and lover boy, it is such a downright downer. Now I am finding myself looking at the lounge area noticing that indeed gorgeous has it right, it does look like the siblings are in the middle of a very serious conversation, whatever conversation might that be. "Tell me gorgeous ... I start to say while my gaze is still turned towards the lounge area. Aren't you feeling like this is like a replay from that time baby girl found out that she was attuned to the Force?" It might not be the same case scenario but I can certainly draw some analogies from before to now. Gorgeous and I were in the living room back then with a bottle of wine. It was just she and I talking and saying that we shall indeed be supportive, and we shall be there for Crystal no matter what ...
But now, it looks like it is a whole different thing and I clearly do not know where to put myself right this instance. Smiling slightly and tiredly somehow, I cannot help but to agree to her statement after clicking my glass against gorgeous' and downing my own shot of namana. "But anyways ... Regaining my focus after that euphoric feeling, I figure that it would be best to stop right there for myself because it's not something I'd prefer doing, drown my worries through alcohol. Tomorrow, I am declaring a no drama day and if there is one, I will go lawyer mode. I actually mean that and I just want one single day before the start of my working week without any drama whatsoever because today has only been ridiculous. And you will get to spend the whole afternoon with the Hapan Bombshell, getting to know her, putting some cream on her lean and toned body ... Giggling at the thought, because yes I manage to still have a sense of humor despite the crappy day, at gorgeous' own expense but what the heck, I am sure she'll excuse me for that. Plus skipping a beat for you while you get lost into her enthralling eyes, ooo la la."
Nudging Elika's shoulder teasingly with mine, I rest my head on her shoulder for a moment with a knowing smile. "Tell me, did you expect for that to happen today after meeting her yesterday or was it just out of the blue?" I figure that perhaps this is the best way to make us both forget the ongoing drama happening there by talking about this and what gorgeous has or has started to have with the Hapan bombshell, it is a happier perspective right? Right ...

Ryan's first inclination was to completely walk away from that talk, especially when it concerned Virgil Solaris, his own father, his biological father and Crystal's. If there was one thing that people had to know about him it was to never ever bring up his father because of the fact that he had never been there as a dad at all. But there was something in his sister's tone that made him stand his ground, or in this case it kept him seated on his sister instead of walking away from that talk.
Crystal wasn't justifying their father's actions, she was inquiring about something that she had no knowledge of, something that perhaps allowed him to get pass through his issues. Releasing his sister's hand and taking a deep soothing breath to try and arrange his thoughts on how he would reply to that matter, actually it wasn't so difficult. "When Ares and I were growing up, he and I always thought that there clearly was something off about him, he never ever was there you know?" Ryan gritted his teeth while rubbing his face with his left hand before frowning slightly. "He was often times away and there were moments when we were picked up by Lyna or even Raana," Ryan smiled at those recall, the fond memories he had of both women. "Sorry, I meant Angelyna Drake, the mother of Lara and Keith and Raana, Raan's mom. One of them would pick us up and we've go along with our mom, Elara." Ryan looked at his cousin with a faint smile because if people wondered how they were linked it was through his mom and Franz's. "And we'd go to Naboo."
It was on Naboo that he got a certain taste for medicine, science and technology. "But I digress, point is, we'd all be there, us kids of the three houses and the men of the houses would be in the next room, there was always a yelling match between Rex Jade and Lynx Drake and often times it was the three of them arguing all the time, about what? I do not know for I preferred not to listen, it was making me cringe hearing them arguing that way." Ryan had a grave expression on his features and he even shook his head at that recall, he equally feared Lynx and Rex in a way, as for Virgil, he completely disregarded his father in a way. "Point is, whenever the three men of the houses were together, you expected that arguments would ensue, and that was the cue of the women to take us away to the Great Grass Plains and just enjoy the day to be away from that yelling match, but if you are asking me if Virgil was or is hiding a big secret, I will tell you that perhaps yes but I would also tell you that it wasn't just him but also Lynx and Rex..."

Crystal knew that bringing up their dad may leave her with either Ryan preferring not to reply or actually reply to her question. The relief she felt the moment Ryan did reply was just indescribable. If she were asked how she expected that talk to turn out, she'd probably say that Ryan completely refused to answer because their dad was a sore subject. She was nonetheless glad that he was fielding her in and at first she was perplexed when he brought up a few names that she had never heard about but thankfully without her asking he detailed who was who and...
Naboo?!
Crystal looked at her brother as she realized something, and that something was about Naboo. She had been there once and it was for Elika to begin with but what she found out the moment she was welcomed into Raan's estate, or his adopted sister's made her realize that it was probably many of the reasons why Raan's head caretaker of the estate had recognized Keith. The man had addressed him as Lord Drake and had then led everyone inside and in the direction of a room to get Lara settled in.
Now with what Ryan had just said, it probably wasn't only Virgil hiding something but it was also Raan's father but also the Drakes' father? All of that realization made her think further and very silently though since she currently had no will to speak and instead she just had that dumbfounded expression on her features before getting a hold of herself. "What was so important about Naboo, Ryan?" Crystal asked dubiously, and from the fact that Raan did have an estate there, was it entirely possible that even the Solaris and the Drake did as well?
Closing her eyes briefly, Crystal took a deep breath to stop getting a head of herself and even create a scenario in her mind, she would freak out even more and clearly it was unnecessary right now. Lifting her hand to indicate to her brother that she didn't need a reply to that, she just looked at him with a frown. "I need a moment, but thank you for telling me all of that..." More and more she was starting to think that there was something really going on with her dad, and probably even with Raan hence why he was silence radio for a while but also the Drake siblings who left without that much of a notice...

Nodding to agree with Lily's suggesting that the evening has more than a passing similarity to the night Crystal had learned of her Force sensitivity, Elikapeka says, "It does have some similarities now that you mention it beautiful," and then sets her shot glass down in front of her, absently sliding it back and forth between her hands as she smiles and listens to Lily's resolution to make the following day a drama free one.
Adopting a theatrically distant and distracted expression when Lily points out the things that Elika has to look forward to while spending time with Delaana tomorrow, Elika playfully shakes her head as though roused from a particularly pleasant day dream after Lily wraps up her surprisingly tame list of suggestions, and then pushes her shot glass towards the bottle of namana and points to it to ask Lily to refill it as she answers her friend's question, laughing as she admits, "Honestly, I wouldn't have believed it if anyone had suggested that things might have played out the way they have. Pursing her lips in thought as she considers whether or not to expound on her answer further, Elika pauses before adding, Did I notice her? Absolutely. Did I think there was any chance whatsoever that she would be interested in someone like me? Elika lifts a hand to prevent Lily from jumping in just in case she might feel compelled to do so since she isn't fishing for compliments, merely answering the question she had been asked fully, and shakes her head with another amused laugh as she says, Not at all. And then, of course, I did an absolutely wonderful job of softening that potential blow to my ego by reminding myself that the fact she is Crystal's P.A. might make things awkward, and that I'm not even sure I'm ready to start contemplating starting a . . . frowning as she realizes that Lily probably doesn't know all about her past, Elika waves a hand, hoping that her summarizing will get her point across without boring or depressing her friend with details, Anyway, you know how you can always find reasons to not risk anything, right? Let's just say that I found plenty. Smiling as she remembers the ease with which all her worries or reservations had been overcome, seemingly without any great effort on either her or Delaana's part, Elika shrugs and says, So, definitely out of the blue, and then laughs as she arches an eyebrow and ends with an almost certainly already perfectly obvious, Not that either of us are complaining."
Never entirely comfortable with being the focus of attention, Elika decides to try and shift the focus to something else, asking Lily, "Has Ryan ever talked to you about his father much?" It is probably a long shot, but Elika supposes that it is possible that Crystal's brother might have shared things with Lily that might explain why it is that their family is so fond of keeping secrets from one another despite the affect that doing so has had on their relationships with one another.

This moment is really starting to be a déjà vu on many fronts, it amuses me somehow but at the same time it doesn't that much. I indeed can understand why gorgeous would think that way about the Hapan bombshell, but really haven't we done this before also except last time it concerned a certain doctor and not a P.A. "Again, gorgeous, before I shelve that matter entirely, Sitting upright again and looking at her knowingly before nudging her once more. You need to give yourself a little more credit, okay and I do believe that you have a lot to offer, those that do not see they are dumb, plain and simple."
Since I have said to myself that I was going to shelve that matter, I am moving on from that topic and just give her one last smile about it; an encouraging smile as I also have noticed the frown gorgeous had a moment ago, for whatever reason? I cannot be certain but if I were to guess, clearly her feelings of being in a relationship after that last bust with Hyun Ae, I think, I don't have a clue really but if gorgeous wants to talk about it, I am all ears, simple as that.
"Yeah, about that, I start to say concerning about Ryan and his father, I close my eyes briefly and look towards the gardens seeing that the siblings seem to really be in a serious conversation. Why can't I read on lips?! Ugh! Ryan never made important comments about his father but just the fact that Virgil was always absent. Sighing softly after picking up that bottle of namana, I end up refilling not only gorgeous' glass but mine as well. He was, is closer to his mom and was closer to some other women that he called his aunts."
Clinking my glass with gorgeous' again, I pause momentarily and look at her with a faint frown. "But nothing substantial from him about Virgil, want to know what I do find surprising though? Rhetorical question indeed, but before I carry on, I down my shot and put the glass back down onto the counter and blink a few times to try and get rid of that feeling namana is bringing to me. How Ryan sketches his dad is nothing compared to how Virgil was acting around his daughter. He always has been the attentive guy, a joker too from the few times I have met him and whenever he'd show up at our front door in Coruscant or Alderaan. So either he is a good actor, or he does have a reason for why he has been acting that way depending on which of his children he was addressing himself to. What do I really know quite honestly? Obviously not a lot. One thing I can tell you though with certainty, Virgil is a better man than Crystal's stepfather." At the mention of baby girl's stepfather, I do make a face because Derak is the kind of man I'd rather not have in my vicinity.

Crystal's question was a damn good one. Now that he was thinking about it, why Naboo? Why not another place? He couldn't tell really lest he tried to remember. Closing his eyes to try and recall something important in those yelling matches between the men of the houses, it was all a blur to him, like something was preventing him to access those deep memories. Perhaps it was due to the fact that each time he was there in a certain location he preferred to forget, but he knew for a fact that often times it was the worse memories that remained to a person's mind, and the good ones seemed to always slip away quickly.
Ryan sighed before shaking his head, "I do not know what was so special about Naboo, Crys..." He finally admitted but then again clearly there was something going on with his gray matter right now, he couldn't really recall some details at all. Ryan used to always shrug those off under the pretense that it wasn't important or that because that proverbial door was shut, then he shouldn't bother to keep on listening. "All I know is that for as long as I've known it, our family much like the Jades and Drakes had a home there, and we all still do."
Perhaps it was the fact that often times the parental units were tired with the big city life and preferred to recluse themselves somewhere more rural or something? But then again Naboo and Coruscant it wasn't th-... Actually no, Ryan took it back, it was very much different and Naboo seemed to be a place where he was freer and just worry free he guessed. It had been a while though since he stepped his feet onto that planet, and he supposed that he preferred not to do so as those not so fond memories were stuck there. Besides the yelling matches, which he couldn't remember what it was all about, what gave really?
There was just something about Naboo that seemed to be like a complete mystery to him now... Ryan sighed before inclining his head when his sister requested for a moment and even thanked him for what he had shared with her. It was making him wonder why she was asking about that though, "Why did you ask me if Virgil seemed to be hiding something?" He frowned at the thought and perhaps if he still had that clarity he could detach himself from the fact that his father had been atrocious to not only him but also Ares while they had been growing up.

Crystal knew at least that Raan did have a place there, but for her family and the Drakes to have one as well? That was news to her. "Let me guess, Ryan, Varykino?" If that were the case, then really, potentially, it was something she needed to see for herself, one day at least. Perhaps she'd find more answers there if and when her father kept on being unreachable by any means possible. Drumming her fingertips onto her thigh, she knew that sooner or later she'd have to make those plans and go to Naboo, but with what was happening here on Umgul, she did not foresee that happening so soon.
For one she wanted to be there for the brothers and second Ares was going to arrive sooner rather than later and she wanted to hear what he wished to discuss with her and Ryan. Stopping her drumming, she instead crossed her leg and tuck her hand in between her thigh before looking at her brother when he asked about what she had just inquired.
"Because the day after I started being attuned to the Force, he came and talked to me." Crystal shook her head, this was a conversation that she had not shared with anyone just yet, well actually she did with her friends in the kitchen but anyways. "He told me that there was a reason why he sealed off my capabilities, so that it was tougher for the people after his family to find me." That had been a long but at the same time short conversation, for it was mainly one sided, with Virgil doing most of the talking. "His parents, our grandparents were killed when he was relatively young and more would keep on doing that, coming after some of us, due to something."
Whatever that something was, she never had the chance to ask at all because she was shocked to find things at that time she had a hard time to wrap her mind around and into it. "I have no idea what that something is but point is, he is alive because it was meant to be and his closest friends weren't so lucky as that was their time until another cycle began..." Lifting her hand before shaking her head to indicate to her brother that she clearly was drawing a blank also, Crystal just massaged her temple for the time being and stood up from her seat. "I need something to drink, any of you want anything?" Crystal inquired and whether they did want anything or not, she inclined her head briefly and made her way back towards the interior of the lakehouse...

Lakehouse - Kitchen
Other than rolling her eyes with an amused smile when Lily registers her protest against Elikapeka's earlier assertion that it had been pleasantly surprising to learn that her attraction to Delaana was reciprocated, Elika doesn't respond; she has pointed out Lily's potential bias in the past, and sees no point in arguing a moot point even in play. Removing her spectacles, Elika sets them on the countertop after cleaning the lenses while listening to Lily answer her question about whether or not Ryan has ever talked to her much about Virgil; the answer is not terribly surprising given their relationship, though, like Lily herself, Elika does find it interesting that there is such a disconnect between the way Ryan perceived, or still perceives, his father and the way Virgil behaved, or still behaves, when with Crystal.
Lips pursed in thought as she considers what Lily has said, Elika doesn't reply right away, and instead spins her shot glass idly on the countertop after emptying it while endeavoring to think of reasons why Virgil would have cultivated such vastly different relationships with his children; the effort is, naturally, fruitless since Elika knows little to nothing about Virgil save what she has been told second or third hand, and therefore no way of divining his motives. While the namana shots do little to make rational thought any easier, they do make the failure to understand much of anything where Crystal's family and their secrets and complex relationships are concerned less frustrating than might otherwise be the case, and so after her efforts to think of reasons for Virgil's behavior and decisions prove futile, Elika shakes her head as though clearing it, and then pushes her shot glass towards the bottle of namana to request another shot as she frowns and says, "If thinking about it makes my head hurt this much, I can only imagine how Crystal must feel being right in the middle of it all."

Noticing gorgeous' glass by the bottle, I look at her with a playful expression before nudging her teasingly. "Are you sure it's not the namana causing a headache? I am trying to see the silver lining here, but I already know the answer anyways, and just like gorgeous, I find the whole situation where Crystal is in very complicated to comprehend. The namana does help in the sense that I am not that much irritated by the whole situation just yet, but I am still looking at gorgeous dubiously as if asking her if it is wise to go for that third ... or is it the fourth shot in such short amount of time. I am sure that Crystal is very much annoyed with all of that."
She and I are more or less the same anyways, when there is something that we need to know, we do everything we can in our power to find out. ... And people call me relentless. Chuckling at the thought, I end up picking that bottle and refill both of our shot glasses, while I keep on thinking about that situation. "Wait! I exclaim, maybe a little too loudly as something does occur to me. Crystal said that Ayla and Mace have innate abilities and I also know she said that the Kiffars were the most enigmatic group ever, but did anyone ever even try to question them directly or something?" I may be told that it is a long shot but from my encounter earlier with Mace, she seemed straightforward in her answers ...
Which reminds me another bit, Mace isn't here right now, and I do know that she is one of the busiest person here, between being a councilor of the Mist Order and apparently a liaison to the Senator ... My thoughts stop there when I notice that baby girl is clearly making her way back here, so I do look in that direction and mainly her expression. Only when she is inside do I look at her dubiously. "Well, did you hear what you needed and wanted to hear?"

Lakehouse - Kitchen
Hearing nothing from the guys, Crystal took that as them not needing anything right now, she guessed that if they did want something, they'd either take it themselves or perhaps they were too deep in thoughts to form a reply. Now that she was in the kitchen, she found herself with her housemates who seemed to have started drinking. Crystal looked at the bottle and rolled her eyes playfully and then only looked at both Lily and Elika with a pout because they did not wait for her.
Crystal's reprieve though didn't last long as she heard her childhood friend speak. Nodding briefly, Crystal sat down on one of the stools rubbing her face soon enough to try and focus somehow. "Yes and no." A reply that wasn't satisfying her at all because she was still drawing a blank on several areas but her talk with her brother seemed to have been fruitful someway. Picking up one of the shot glasses from the tray, Crystal grabbed the bottle of namana to pour herself some. "That serious thing Ry wanted me to hear, it was a message left by Ares." In essence that should have made her happy right? Since it had been a while since Crystal had been trying to reach her other brother, and now that she did hear from him, she didn't have that overjoyed feeling that she should be having. "He said seriously that he needed to speak with Ryan and I, and he is making his way here."
Crystal looked at her shot glass, still untouched, and she nibbled the corner of her lower lip slightly before sighing softly. "And then there is that other thing, apparently my brothers' life more or less had been divided between Coruscant and Naboo, not just my brothers, the Drakes and also Raan." Plus there was that other thing, those other things, that were still causing her headache. It ranged from Rex, Lynx and Virgil about going on a yelling match continuously. "Then Ryan tells me that Virgil isn't probably the only one who used to hide things, Raan's dad along with the Drake's old man too." Crystal was babbling, that was a fact, and she was just spouting details one another the other with somehow no link whatsoever because really right now she had no idea.
"And here I thought it was only my family who had problems in communication skills, but how deadly wrong I am." Crystal said sarcastically before finally downing her shot. Between Raan not showing his face for that long, to the Drakes leaving out of the blue, that was just... fantastic. "Life seemed easier for me two years ago." Crystal muttered under her breath. She knew she had to focus once again, or at least try to. Thankfully though the namana was sapping her frustration right now. "Anyways, did you both want to move this to the living room or something? I can tell the guys to join us?"

Smiling in amusement when Lily suggests that the namana might be to blame where her headache is concerned, Elikapeka shakes her head and says in a serious and sober tone, "The namana is blameless beautiful, I assure you. Pursing her lips in thought when Lily asks if anyone had ever thought to question Mace or the Kiffars directly about things, Elika crinkles her nose and points out, I doubt it. Lifting a finger, she explains, Everyone seems to find them, and Mace especially, intimidating for one thing, and, she lifts a second finger, the fact that they are so enigmatic and tight-lipped probably makes everyone conclude that questioning them directly wouldn't get them anywhere. Laughing without any real amusement, Elika muses, And who could blame that proverbial them, really? You've seen how almost everyone in our circle of friends - yourself, Crystal, and me aside - seems to think that keeping things on a needs to know basis is standard operating procedure. And I'm sure you've also observed how anything being upgraded to need to know status is a rare occurrence, right? Shaking her head, Elika shrugs and says, Apparently Crystal's family has a similar policy."
Smiling when Crystal joins them, Elika cannot help but snort an annoyed, but entirely unsurprised laugh on her friend's behalf when it is revealed that Ares didn't see fit to include any details in his message despite the fact that Elika is relatively certain that the man must know how worried his siblings would be after not hearing from him for so long, and then gives Crystal a sympathetic frown as she reaches out to give her shoulder a supportive squeeze. Elika feels as though she blanks out for a moment shortly afterwards, the fact that Crystal's mentioning that Raan had been on Naboo when he was younger along with the Drakes and Crytal's brothers causing the mental defenses that have been erected around some of her memories to activate and prevent her from pursuing any thoughts of why she and Raan would have grown up on the same planet without ever having at least mentioned that fact to one another by simply yet effectively wiping her memory of hearing Crystal's statement, preserving only the basic concept that Crystal's family, the Drakes, and Raan appear to have a long shared history. Since exploring the subject at all would risk requiring additional quick edits to her memories of the conversation, Elika is unconsciously compelled to do what she can to change the subject entirely; the fact that Crystal is frustrated already by the subject and suggests moving to the living room providing the perfect opportunity to do so. "The living room sounds great hon', Elika says, a mildly befuddled expression lingering on her face as she tries to recall without success exactly what Crystal had said despite her usual ability to remember conversations in great detail, and then stands, stretching her arms overhead with her thumbs keeping her sleeves from riding down as, dismissing her confusion entirely without a second thought, she grins and jokes, You can ask them to join us if you're sure that they won't only irritate you even more than they already have. Maybe we should leave them to their own devices for a while though. Looking over her shoulder as she starts heading for the living room, Elika jokes, There'd be more namana for us that way too."

Winking playfully at gorgeous when she assures me that the namana is blameless, I was pretty sure of the fact that indeed that wasn't the cause of the headache anyways. My expression turns serious when she goes on about Mace and her habit of being tight-lipped, like everyone else it seems but Mace this morning did not give me that impression. "Okay, I can concede that but, Turning to face gorgeous entirely and leaning against my hand while my elbow rests on the counter, I furrow my eyebrow in deep thought. This morning, she did not give me that impression, maybe you, or anyone should ask her straight questions, and intimidating? Really? While I can believe that since from the few times I have seen her and spoken with her, Mace always seems cool, calm and collected. You heard what she said this morning, she said she enjoys unfiltered conversation it keeps everything honest, and something tells me if you ask her the right questions, she'll answer."
That's my own take, sure I can understand that she as a Jedi is bound to some secrecy and all of that but, I am still willing to give her that benefit of the doubt until I do have a serious conversation with her. Far from me though to go on an inquisition with her but I am just hoping that perhaps Crystal and/ or Elika do have that courage to ask her. Simple as that, what do we have to lose in the end anyways? With baby girl's return in the kitchen, I look at her dubiously, while I am grateful that she has finally heard from her other brother, that has not given the intended affect to Crystal, so I just purse my lips and look at her gravely. Point to gorgeous, Crystal's family does have that same policy. Coruscant and Naboo ... Isn't gorgeous from Naboo?
Before I can even ask that question out loud, I more or less concur with gorgeous by pointing briefly at her before standing up from my stool and picking up my shot glass that I do not down for now, instead I turn my attention to Elika dubiously. "Gorgeous, aren't you from Naboo? It is probably a long shot but if the Drakes, the Solaris and Raan have always been on Naboo, maybe gorgeous has seen them or heard about them from there back then? You have never encountered anyone baby girl has just mentioned while being home or something?" Legit question as I follow gorgeous towards the living room with the namana bottle in hand, maybe she has heard about someone, anyone from those noble houses?

Crystal was grateful for that supportive squeeze which caused her to smile tiredly at her friend before noticing that Elika seemed confused somehow. Furrowing her eyebrows perplexedly as if to ask if Elika was alright, before Crystal could even ask if there was anything wrong, both Elika and Lily had decided to indeed move everything to the living room after the former had said to Crystal that perhaps they should leave the boys to their own devices after joking that perhaps they might be the cause to Crystal's further irritation. "If only they were the cause of my irritation... If only." Crystal replied playfully. The fact was, one man as of now was the cause of her irritation, and it was her very own father who seemed to be AWOL.
Sighing softly, Crystal rubbed her face and downed her shot to just do something in the meantime, even though she was very well aware that drinking wasn't going to erase overnight her worries at all. But she had to admit it felt nice to have that sense of euphoria that the namana was providing her right now, albeit temporarily. Standing up from her seat, Crystal picked her up shot glass since that was the only thing she was going to need with Lily already having a hold on the bottle. She soon looked over her shoulder in the direction of the men in the gardens to appraise them of the situation or just their plan right now, but she figured that since she had a closer bond with Ryan, she'd focus on him.
The three of us are going to the living room, feel free to join...
Crystal was so ready to end this day and perhaps she'd spend a little more time awake, or maybe until Atlantis got back here or something. Which reminded her, maybe he wouldn't come back at all so before making her way straight to the living room, she made a detour to her room to get a hold of her datapad and she noticed that she had received a message from Atlantis himself which made her sigh softly before shaking her head. A part of her did not want to answer to be perfectly honest but the other part of her was saying that she should since she didn't want to add any more drama onto his plate with everything happening to him and his brother.
Sitting down on the couch into the living room, she placed her shot glass onto the coffee table and finally typed back an encrypted reply to him.
To: Atlantis Vyridian From: Crystal Kayne Subject: Re: -
Yes, I'll be fine eventually. Once I get some answers from people I need them from. Don't worry about rushing back here, I'll be fine. Take care of your guests.

Sighing for the umpteenth time this evening, Crystal shook her head remembering that Lily had asked Elika a question on their way to the living room. It made Crystal look dubiously at Elika before asking softly. "You have never met any of my siblings or ev-..." Crystal was about to say Raan's name but she stopped right there as she remembered something very clearly due to the fact that when she had found out, she had been somewhat annoyed and frustrated by that. Raan had left Umgul first to head to Naboo, and he clearly went to see Elika the night before she and Atlantis got there. Plus there was also the fact that Elika and Keith seemed to being close, someway, somehow. This whole situation was starting to turn into a nightmare for her, also there had been her case where she had personally been contacted by Raan's then political adviser. Just like that and out of the blue. "Something tells me that I will be irritated for a long time at least until I hear from Virgil Solaris, and when I see him, I am going to tell him the whole truths about not saying things fully, and it won't just be him..." Crystal muttered under her breath.
