Naboo: Theed Garden
You are inside of the beautiful City of Theed on the planet of Naboo. You meet your opponent in one of the many gardens scattered throughout the city, at the site of a large pool, standing calf-deep in the water. Various jets shoot arcing streams of shining water high into the air for decorative purposes. Blood will run red in these clear waters; destroy the peaceful scene of Naboo with your fight!

Zalgo thought that the fates must have been playing him for a fool, bringing him to a place of peace and tranquility. Little did they know, however, Zalgo preferred such beauty to the everyday dark and dank he was used to. It made it much easier to implode a sentient's mind. The water soaked through, into his cloak. He cared not for the health of the fabric, only that it would make maneuvers quite difficult.
As he tore off the low hanging cape to reveal a more traditional combat robe, ending just below the water line, he also began channeling the Force through him. his opponent would arrive soon, and Zalgo was going to give him a hell of a welcome.

Johun slowly approached the garden. He had been following this man for some time through Theed. Now he had been led to a secluded garden, away from the populace of the city. Surely this spoke of an ambush, but at the very least a confrontation. Johun knew not what to expect, only that this man was to be considered dangerous and sly, something not to be underestimated. As Johun rounded a pergola covered in a sweet fragranced plant, Johun saw his opponent. For all the Darkness this man had, it was rather ironic that this confrontation would occur in a place so peaceful, so serene... It appeared this fight would occur mostly Ina pool of calf deep water, so be it. Johun focused, letting Ashla guide him. He reached up with both hands and drew back the good of his outer robe, exposing his head and face to his opponents gaze. Johun stared back, taking in all the sensory stimulants, the s Ellis, sounds, and sights of the tranquil, beautiful garden. It saddened Johun some that peace this place was design to illicit would very soon be gone, and replaced with the chaos and destruction that every confrontation inevitabley brought with it...

No wonder the various fates had brought him here. They were not toying with him, but giving him a spot of fun! There was a Jedi in front of him, and Zalgo knew how zealous they could be in the name of false peace.
"Welcome Jedi." His voiced rasped, seeming to echo from places that could not be. It was the influence of the mask of Am Dhaegar, the floating mist that still concealed his face and neck. If one paid close enough attention, they might hear the screams of lost souls, bound by ethereal chains to Zalgo's own.
"This garden will be your final nightmare."
Zalgo unleashed the built up Force energies, trying with great ferocity to push his influence at Johun's mind. An illusion so powerful might break a weak mind, driving them directly to madness, where they might take their own life in desperation to free themselves from the feeling or pure horror. Even the most well trained Sith and Jedi minds would have trouble ignoring the sights and sounds Zalgo was creating around him. It was not simply creating an illusion that made them so powerful. No, no; Zalgo made them believable, Zalgo tore at the grievances and fears of mortal minds. It was the only entertainment Zalgo knew.
The landscape became darker at first, as if the sun were coming to a set. The fountain ran with blackened water, polluted by the runoff of war machines. The garden wilted, each plant seeming to die a death with sentience. A Jedi of any caliber would understand the feeling of hundreds of life forces suddenly screaming out in pain, only to be quickly silenced after. It was a powerful illusion, for certain, one tailored specifically for a lightsider; for someone who cared about life.
"Shall we begin?" Zalgo asked, in a lighthearted tone. He too, would feel the illusion. He would bask in it's glory, the ecstasy of death filling him from every direction; the horrors of wartime filling his mind with gruesome pictures that only further fueled his lust for a hands on killing.

Jouhun's mind ached. He hadn't been prepared for a full on assault of his mind. He was always blocking various probes from various Force sensitives, but nothing like this. This was going to be difficult. Johun watched and felt as the beautiful, serene garden became on of death and decay. It was almost enough to smother Johun. Johun knelt to one knee overcome with such a sudden explosion of death. His mind's eye was taken back to Ryloth, and the killing fields there. Where he had lost Master Shin, the Jedi that taught him, that betrayed him, and that showed him actions had consequences. Shaking his head, Johun stood. He had to clear his mind, or he wouldn't be able to fight. Johun drew "Vormund" from his right hip. He ignited the icy blue blade with the all too familiar snap-hiss. He held it vertically, in front of him, right hand over left in a two handed grip, approximately 6 inches from his body. Johun closed his eyes, focusing, driving back the assault on his consciousness.
The Light is brightest in the Dark. With out dark there is no Light.
Opening his eyes once more, Johun's consciousness returned to Theed. Returned to the now sickening smell of rot and death. He stared at his opponent, a slight smirk growing on his lips.
I thought we already had begun.

Zalgo rolled his shoulders, blowing smoke from his nostrils, and quite literally. The mist over his face flowed coldly over the hooded figure as he dropped into a half crouching defensive stance. His saber ignited out of his left hand, crossing his body parallel to the ground.
"Then shine bright, Jedi. Can you quell the dark this day?"
Johun could not have seen, but Zalgo was smiling. This was the purest elation, the perfect moment. Death surrounded them, violence was in the air a la the scent of blood and the sounds of wailing. This was everything Zalgo could ever desire, as emotionless as he seemed.
He laughed slightly as the Jedi opened his eyes. He seemed to be at tears already, and Zalgo hadn't even cut him yet. "What are your darkest fears, Jedi?"

Wouldn't you like to know?
Johun focused on the weather around them, all the while gazing toward his opponent. This would take some doing. He focused on storm clouds, dark ones that turned day into night. As Johun did this, Dark storm clouds began to develop. The wind picked up and lightning flashed and ran across the sky, followed by deep, bellowing thunder. No, this fight wouldn't be pretty at all. And this, this was jut the beginning...

Oh.. Zalgo thought, nearly out loud. It seemed the Jedi was preparing some form of retaliation. Too bad he'd never get the chance. It was easy enough to maintain an illusion in place during combat, though it would slowly fatigue the master mind-bender. Using other Force abilities was rather out of the question as well, as his concentration was already going towards relative combat. Still, this illusion was one of Zalgo's favorites, and most used as well. He knew it's intricacies well, and hardly noticed the strain on his mind.
"You'll get nowhere fast like that, Jedi whelp."
Zalgo jumped out of his defensive stance, charging at a controlled pace towards Johun. His blade was still parallel to the ground as he came into striking range of the man, and he attempted to push the boy's blade into his own face with sheer force. His right hand cocked back, ready to strike when the moment came.
"A ??????b??o????????y???? ???i???n???? ???t???????e??? m??u???????c?k????,??????? ????l????i?????v?i?????????g??? o?r???? ???????d??e??????ad, s????t???il??l??? d????e????c?????o??????m???p??o?s????e????s???!" With the yell, his voice became even more distorted, hardly even recognizable now, as the souls trapped just beyond the veil screaming in eternal anguish.

Johun stepped forward with his right foot and extended his arms forward, keeping his elbows slightly bent to allow for providing more force. He angled his blade slightly toward his opponent so that even with his opponent pushing against his saber, it wouldn't be pushed too far back past its vertical 90 degrees. Johun's goal was to engage a saber lock with Zalgo. Johun was unsure of Zalgo's strength, but he knew his own. Hours of sweat and fatigue had made him strong. He was ready for this challenge.
Johun's concentration had been broken in the storm. It was still building, but was now no longer under Johun's control. A large lightning bolt struck a decorative trellis on Johun's right and Zalgo's left. It exploded in fire and splinters, burning hot, sizzling as rain began to fall.

ooc: sorry for the delays. Life punched me in the guts.
Zalgo felt the electricity, the hum of the air struck the right chords in his mind. It was time to get all the way aggressive. Johun locked his saber, just what Zalgo was looking for. Zalgo pushed his blade into the lock as the lightning crashed off to their side. He felt the air pressure in his lungs make a noticeable change as the thunderclap rang out, and the heat seared the cloth on his left shoulder. He angled his blade off towards the his left, Johun's right, to try and push it away slightly, making his opponent a bigger target for the already lined up punch.
Zalgo pushed with all the might he could muster while maintaining control of the illusion. There was no Force to add to his strength, but that was hardly relevant; he had a fist made of metal. Zalgo's gauntleted fist practically launched itself at Johun, opening at the last second to reveal a set of highly sharpened claws. He aimed to grab Johun's elbow, as it was not only the closest target, but there was hardly any consequence to grappling him at such an angle there.

Johun's mind throbbed. Zalgo's illusion was wearing on him, but Johun knew he had to push through. Zalgo couldn't keep the illusion going indefinitely. Johun had no defense for Zalgo's punch, and even less for the claws. Johun's elbow seared with pain and the claws penetrated his flesh. The following force from the punch itself also caused Johun to feel and hear a distinct crunch. No telling which of his three arm bones had been broken. Hell, it could have been more than one or all. Johun knew that his left arm was practically useless now, but he had been trained in Crucitorn, and as such, pain was less of a distraction than it would be to most. Throwing his head forward as hard as he could, Johun tried some Projected Fighting, hoping to basically headbutt Zalgo with the Force. Maybe he could knock that mask off, or distract him from the illusion. Either way, Johun knew now that his fight became much more complicated with only one working arm.

Zalgo had the opening he had wanted to whole time. To get the lightsider into combat with a mind being torn up by his illusions. Zalgo was feeling the wear on his mind as well, being so aggressive. Even with such a familiar scene, there would always be effort required; but the usefulness of the illusion had already proved it's point. However, wishing not to distract himself from what could be the finishing blow, Zalgo tore into the last reserves of what he had in his mind to carefully maneuver his blade as he wanted.
Zalgo ended the bladelock just as Johun's head was coming forward, slicing it quickly at the lightsider's exposed and undefended neck, flicking his wrist to make sure it would pick up enough speed before retaliation would be an option.

Zalgo thought he had the upper hand, and it certainly looked that way. But when Zalgo broke the saber lock, Johun brought his saber from vertical to horizontal in a forward and downward strike. This would hopefully sever Zalgo's left arm from his body. You see when Zalgo broke the saber lock, Zalgo's saber was horizontal and pushing toward Johun's right. Johun was matching the same force as Zalgo, hence the saber lock. So when Zalgo released his pressure to break the lock, the pressure Johun had exerted on Zalgo's saber plus the momentum Johun had created by throwing his head forward with his body to headbutt should cause Johun's blade to move faster than Zalgo's. This was because Johun expected that Zalgo would have to reset his wrist rotation, since he was using his left hand only to hold his saber hilt. The way he was holding his saber during the saber lock should have no rotational advantage without reset. Zalgo's saber was held across Zalgo's body in a tennis back-hand style and held parallel to the ground, most likely below the level of Johun's neck. If the rotation Zalgo tried was toward Zalgo's right, then Zalgo's blade would rotate into the ground and not into the direction of Johun's neck. If Zalgo's rotation was toward Zalgo's left, then Zalgo's blade would rotate up towards Johun's neck, but Johun's vertically held saber would still be in the way. So as Johun saw it, Zalgo would have to break the saber lock and try to position his saber behind Johun's to have any chance of decapitating him. This would take time, and allow Johun's strike to connect...

Hello my friends! This is your favorite, friendly, fabulous...*wait, IM not Ev....that was close...* I'm your judge for today, and here are your results.
Johun, MARKED improvement from last round. THIS Is more along the lines of what we are looking for. Way to pick it up, brudda. However, toward the end, you seemed to almost lose your place in the movements. Zalgo legitimately had you dead to rights with the neck slash. You wouldn't have had time to react to that, force speed or not. Up til the last two posts? I had you guys nearly dead even. It was after the left arm got caught by those claws that you lost yourself in the fight. It's rather easy to do, mind you....but it played a big part in the decision.
Zalgo, the only complaint I have for you is the short OOC apology you put in on one of your posts. While the message and meaning was pure, we do not want ANY kind of OOC on the posts. Its a real pet peeve of mine. It didn't play any kind of role in the judgment, just something you should be aware of. I will say this was one of the better uses of force illusion I've seen to date in the GBA. Watch the wording a little bit, though.....It wasn't calling a hit, but it was close.
Now, the moment you've been waiting for....the winner of this fight is Zalgo, due to landing more damage, and the technical slip-ups at the end of the duel by Johun. Both of you gave a great showing, a good fight, and did well. Zalgo just had the upper hand.
Any questions, comments? PM me. Any complaints, PM Eralam...LOL...no seriously, both of our boxes are always open. Thanks guys! Cheers!
