Ok, if there's anyone reading this topic now, please do take a minute to read it all as I'm quite still in awe now. But if not, know I still love ya.
Alright. For the fun of it, I decided that instead of seeing Pacific Rim on Friday, to see it tonight in theaters when it first opened. It's been like only two hours as of this time I'm writing this post that I saw it. Guys, in my entire lifetime I've never seen a film more than once in theaters. Never. Not for any of the Star Wars films, or the Lord of the Rings, or Marvel or DC comic films. Never had.
This. Is. The. First. F#@%ING. Film. That. Has. Made. Me. Want. To. Go. Back. For. Seconds!!! (Hell, I rarely ever use the "F" word anywhere dudes and dudettes. It's that serious!)
If you're not having plans for the weekend and are looking to watch something great, and if you got the money, I absolutely mean it that you should go see Pacific Rim in theaters. Don't care if it's 2D or 3D. This is one of those kinds of films you just have to see on the big screen to fully enjoy it. I haven't had this much fun in theaters since the Avengers last year. The Godzilla-like monsters are fantastic. The giant Mech robots are awesome. The music is great. And even it's more quieter moments are enjoyable.
If I could take the form of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Total Recall, I'd do it now in front you to say, "GET YOUR A$# TO PACIFIC RIM." Thank you for your time, and I hope you go to theaters this weekend to see this wonderful movie. Peace!
P.S. If you want to talk about the film here on the topic, feel free to. Just try to avoid spoilers. If you want to talk about that kind of stuff to me or anyone else, PM about it instead to avoid ruining it for anyone reading this.

Saw it last night. Great movie.
My advice to anyone going to see it - don't try and pick it apart or look for plot holes; just enjoy the ride.

Didn't really see any plot holes. The beginning feels a little rushed, but I agree with Elyia to not try to pick it apart too much. The pacing of the film is pretty much very well done in my opinion.

Oh, and another thing. I can't help but to think Ron Perlman's character Hannibal Chow in Pacific Rim is going to an inevitable expy that someone's going to use for a smuggler character here on JvS. Have to admit I liked his look and his character quite a bit in the film. Also, everyone, please stay after the mid-credits. A stinger shows after the mid-credits, so stay in your seats until it's done. Once it's done, it's ok to leave the show.
