The Grand Convocation Chamber, also referred to as the Senate Rotunda, was the largest room in the Senate Building on Coruscant. It was over 100 meters tall and consisted of 1,024 pods for Senators from all over the galaxy. The entrance to the Chamber was the Atrium of the Senate, and it was ringed by the Grand Concourse. When choosing a color scheme for the walls, ancient designers chose lavender”as it was the only shade that had not been historically associated with mourning, anger, or war in the entire Galaxy.
In the center, a thirty-meter-tall podium would rise up from the Chancellor's holding office for the Senate sessions. The podium is currently fully risen.

It always seemed to impress Johun. The sheer size of the Grand Convocation Chamber of the Galactic Senate was immense. But beyond that, the history that this chamber had was impressive also. Johun stood in Atrium of the Senate, hands on his hips with his outer robe's hood thrown back, taking in all that was before him. He wore the traditional Jedi garb with a few variances, brown outer robes; green sleeveless tunic, an homage to his Corellian Academy upbringing; khaki pants; and brown boots. On his right hip was his saber hilt, "Vormund". He had crafted this weapon himself, after spending many months on Hoth locating the permafrost crystal that was at its heart. It was like looking at piece of art, at least to Johun.

*Walking inside, a young man with a mask and a sword on his back, stopped. Clad differently from his trip to Rhen Var. His clothes kept the same black and white, though he wore no visible armor. His armored robotic arm was replaced by a copy of his real arm. Black gloves with a thin plate of metal covering the back adorned his hands. He walked with purpose, his steps deliberate yet with a grace about them, almost akin to a blade.*

Johun wlked towards the center podium, outer robes flowing behind him. If the chamber looked big from the side, surely it would be even more spectacular from the Chancellor's podium...

*Zik caught a glimpse of what looked like jedi robes. A strange sight here in the Senate building? Not entirely, no, but while Zik was there, it could mean any number of things. Zik wasn't exactly on good terms with any of the major powers in the universe. Zik began to suppress himself, and follow the jedi, doing his best to blend into the crowd.*

Arriving at the base of the podium, Johun looked straight up at it, all 100 meters. The Force could aid with jumping, but probably not that distance. Surely there had to be a way to lower it. Johun began to search the base for buttond or levers...

*What was this guy trying to do? Go to the top of the Chancellors podium? Zik could not allow this man that reach advantage. He brought his right hand over his shoulder and gripped the hilt of his sword. He held his left hand off to the side, lightning starting to arc between his fingers. One would think he aimed for his opponents back, but as his eyes landed on the control panel, it was clear this wasn't the case. He held hi arm forward, the force arcing from his hand, aimed to fry the control panel for the lift up.*

Johun found the control panel, but as he reached to activate it, the hair on the back of his neck stood up. Jerking his arm back, Johun saw a flash go past him and struck the control panel in a large electrical discharge. Johun turned to look behind him, trying to find the source of the electricity. His right hand instinctively dropped down to his saber hilt. His gaze fell upon a man, clad in black and white, hand out. This was the source.,

*Zik was silent, his masked face looking on. The only thing to show were his silver eyes. As they locked with Johun's eyes, there would be no evil intent, nor was there any when he destroyed the control panel. He began to step forward, taking it slow. The arcing lighting in his left hand faded as he clenched it into a fist, followed by the drawing of his sword with the right. The phrik blade did not match any kind of traditional sword, the blade narrowing at the top then flaring out into a flat diamond like shape at the tip.*

Hmmm... A mask. Johun wondered what this man had to hide. The Force Lightning arcing in his left had told Johun this man had some training in DarkSide powers, but Johun didn't sense darkness in this man. The sword however spoke volumes. This man had drawn a weapon against Johun, and Johun would need to be prepared for this man to use it. With a snap-hiss and a blue glow, "Vormund's" icy blue blade sprang to life from the hilt. Its soft hum was like music to Johun's ears. It was a song that Johun unfortunately knew all to well...

*Zik bolted forward, leaning in a bit and he drew his sword hand back, with the tip pointed forwards. He was going in for a stab at Johun's chest. His left arm remained at his side, the hand still balled into a fist as step by step he closed the gap between them. As if letting go of a spring, his blade began to shoot forward, aiming past the right side of the other mans lightsaber.*

Aggression, useful, but predictable. The run at Johun would mean that this man had some built up momentum and would take longer to slow than if he had not run. Johun could use that. Johun rotated his right wrist and thus his saber's blade, from vertical to horizontal in font of him about waist high. Simultaneously, Johun rotated on his right foot, using it as a pivot point, and brought his left foot around behind him. This would twist his torso out of the way of the man's stab. Johun would now be facing opposite of where he had been. He kept his saber where it had been, right arm now extended about a foot away from his side, in the hopes that the man's momentum would carry him into it. This movement required very little effort on Johun's part, so he focused on the Force around him, preparing for its use if necessary.

*Zik saw the subtle changes in his opponent before he moved, giving Zik a different opening then he wanted, but it would work out just the same. Zik planted his left foot and swung his right leg back, reversing his momentum and swinging his body around on his left leg, and away from his saber, but that wouldn't be all. In the swinging motion, he flicked his wrist, making a half assed slash with his sword, then the arm went ridged as he spun, aiming a reverse elbow at the back of his opponents neck.*

Johun bent at the waist, leaning forward, getting below the elbow to the back of his neck. He continued this lean into a forward roll, tucking his left shoulder to leave his right arm free for movement. Because of the tucking of the left shoulder, Johun also was able to end up facing his opponent when he completed the roll. Extending his left arm toward his opponent, Johun released a Force Push at his opponent, hoping to knock him off balance, off guard, or both...

Ok. First thing is first. I am SUPER disappointed by this duel. THe two of you are veterans of the GBA, and the Site as a whole, and as such, myself and your other judge (Eralam) feel that this should have been MUCH better. To be honest, it was boring. Two to Three sentences per post, no back story to the fight, nothing. Just.....Man, I don't even know. I know you guys are capable of better. Hell, I have READ better from both of you. Sigh. Next time, step it up guys. This is a tournament. Pre-Season or not.
The win goes to Johun for writing slightly more Detail.
