The Jupiter was taking a pounding, but both it & the ICS were still returning fire on the larger ship with their main cannons as well. The Captain of the Jupiter knew that he would have to order Ragnarok as well, probably with two minutes or less, at this range, nearly every shot fired by either side had no chance of missing.
The Bridge crew of the Monsoon was starting to panic, the escape latches wouldn't blow now. They would be trapped here with the pirates. They wouldn't even be able to call for help as the comm-systems had also been damaged. Within a few short minutes, they watched the Jupiter blow it's pods & charge toward the larger ship. With a touch of silent resolution, the Com-Op officer ordered the Monsoon to also blow its pods. Across the ship, the cannons fell silent as small shuttle like pods quickly ejected from the large ship & raced away. Most of the pods had escaped, but the enemy fire had managed to clip a few, & their glittering ruins slowly twirled off into the distance.
-Monsoon AI Eject system failed. Ragnarok Protocol aborted.
-Com-Op Override.
-Monsoon AI Voice print not confirmed. Only the captain may issue an override for this failure.
The crew quickly looked at the gibbering wreck that had been their captain a short while ago. There would be no override coming from him.
-Com-Op Right. Everyone, grab a weapon. The only entrance to this section is the airlock at the rear. They can't take control of the ship without the bridge. We will hold the airlock or die trying.
Before long, the 150 crew members left on the Monsoon had gathered at the airlock. They wouldn't be able to jury-rig any good barricades, but the ship's design gave a fair bit of cover. The only weapons the crew had were sonic blasters & their armour wasn't worth mentioning. The bottle neck meant that only 20 or 30 crew could fire at once, but it also meant that the pirates had to charge straight into their fire to get into the ship.

The Corellian Run near Geonosis.
The Vivisection was returning fire on the remaining Strike-class Cruiser as it too ejected it's escape pods and began the charge. The Star Destroyer had barely managed to stabilise itself after the previous suicide attack and things looked dire. The Captain issued an over-ride order to the Tactical Officer and the remaining fire focused on the enemy ships bow section with the hopes that any explosions would tip the ships course away from the Victory-class. This did not work nearly as well as it needed to and soon the enemy cruiser had exploded. The shockwave ripped through the Star Destroyer, sending waves of energy where that type of energy should never be. The starboard side of the ship took heavy damage, most of the weapons and external systems on that side of the ship were either destroyed or disabled. The main engines flickered out as the main power generator had to automatically shut down due to safety sub-routines. The ship began to drift away from the explosion slowly with life support and some short range communications working.
The Indomitable moved away from the Vivisection, towards their prize, the Cargo ship. Their weapons targeted the weapons systems on the enemy ship and began to pick them off, making it easier for the fighters to manoeuvre. The Captain of the Indomitable, now in command of the pirate squadron sent the cargo ship a short message, hoping their short range communications were still operational.
Imperial cargo ship, your escorts have been destroyed and soon your weapons systems will be disabled. Surrender now and I will let you leave in an escape pod. Resist me and you shall all die, either way your ship is lost and your cargo is mine!

The crew waited for the onslaught that would still likely happen. They could feel the shudder at the cargo ship took more hits. Only a single person was left in the main bridge section. There to watch the enemy & let the rest of the crew know when a boarding party was headed their way. He watched as the now abandoned & silent weapon platforms on the ICS were picked off by the enemy ships.
The enemy's attempt at getting them to surrender wouldn't work. The simple reason for that was that other than the Ship commanders & a small contingent of other officers, the entire crew of each ship was carefully grown & trained clones. Unlike most clones that traded a quick train time for a shorter operational life, these clones had been grown with the opposite modification. Nearly thirty years of training & brainwashing meant that unconditional surrender or giving the enemy material to use against other Operatives was simple unthinkable.
-Com-Op You can have it when you take it.
Once that rather less than meek answer was sent, the Operative returned to his attempts to override the ship's failsafe protocol & force the reactor to overload.

Makia's eyes scanned the ship, looking for possible ways of escape should need be... or possible ways of hacking into it's systems. Her slight mischievous face never left her as the ship took off and headed to their next destination. Felucia was seeming more and more inviting. She did have friends there, as much as she'd like to deny it. Maybe Alora could talk to her. Maybe she could once again, slip away without any hard feelings. A good majority of her mind doubted it, but there was always a ray of hope.
As Kurayami spoke about what he had done previously on the planet, Makia shook her head.
Wait.... so first you crash on the MOST Colorful planet in the galaxy, and then burned down a whole innocent felucian village just to get the attention of Jedi?.... Burning innocent people to get Jedi's attention? What kind of Kriffin' attention did you want?
Makia shook her head, peering out of the viewing window with a frown. She was beginning to doubt the intelligence of this one.
Honestly, starting a signal fire without people in it would have been better.... especially if you wanted to leave in the planet's good graces.
She suddenly let out a soft string of giggles and shook her head. Did the guy know how Felucia worked? Or did he just think it was another roundish rock out there somewhere to land on? oh, this would be really funny.
The Jedi might not know what happened to that village, but you can bet Felucia knows.... and remembers. You'll have hundreds of plants trying to eat you this time. She giggled again and pulled her feet up into the seat with her, wrapping her arms around her knees and resting her chin atop them.
So... When ya gona take off that armor of yours?
She asked, flashing Kurayami a wonderfully flirtatious smile.

Kurayami let her scan the ship, he had long ago reprogrammed much of the core coding himself for the most important systems. Secondary systems however still ran on mostly unmodified code seeing as he hadn't gotten around to those yet, so if she was knowledgeable of such, she might be able to take the auxiliary systems offline. Kurayami was unaware of any friends or enemies she might have on the world, and he was on at best, strained terms. He just shrugged when she shook her head.
You try flying an outdated craft into an atmosphere full of floating spores that clog your fuel pumps, you try to keep the thing flying after those fail and multiple other things happen at the same time, because the schutta you bought it from had shoddy last minute maintenance done to simply cover up any damage present. Looked to be pristine when I bought it, and I get there and it dies. Surprising I lived through that part alone. Yea I figured that the ripples through the Force would get their attention a bit better than smoke signals. Besides, far as they know I came by just after the fact.
Her shake of the head went seemingly unnoticed by Kurayami as she stared out of the window.
I figured bigger fire with more fuel would burn longer anyways, so all the more chance of it being spotted.
When she giggled he looked back towards her and quirked an eyebrow as she spoke about the planet.
Okay, so the rock we are landing on has a memory of what I did. I don't care. Anything that tries to eat me is going to die. So to the planet I wish it luck.
He chuckled and returned the smile, knowing full well that she had shot him without a second thought in the cantina and may do so now. He began to unfasten the plates from the undersuit and place them next to her on the floor. Grabbing a rag and a bottle of polishing agent, he handed both to her.
There you go, now get to work Makia. Don't worry we still have plenty of time before we get to Felucia for you to finish.

Being told to do something without asking her thought on the issue, never appealed to Makia, however, in a strange way, she was glad to be of some use.... to someone. Those lesser thoughts remained hidden, clogged by the apathy her mind had shielded itself with over the past decades. though, even now, as she began to wordlessly preform her duty the feeling of contentment slowly began to push to the surface and spread it's wings. A small smile crept onto her face, and for the moment, Makia seemed absolutely absorbed in her task. She didn't need the force to complete this. No one had to get hurt. Nothing could, or would go wrong with something so simple, and the emplications of the thought drove away any demeaning application the situation proposed.
She felt rather accomplished with herself... until she looked down at her reflection in the newly polished chest plate. Though not in reality, she saw her eyes flash red and her contented smile shriveled into a devious smirk. Without warning she placed the finished piece of armor and hastily picked up another, ironically the shoulder plate she'd shot. With quicker, almost zealous progress she finished that piece as well, her final piece. Holding it up to admire the finished piece she went rigid, arching her eyebrows.
~Such a willing little servant you are... You haven't changed a bit.~
~Neither have you... Except... until you showed up, I wasn't all that unhappy.~
Makia smirked at her reflection as if she had won a great argument.
~How do you live like that? So sad and lonely?~
That got a reaction from her latent self and suddenly Makia's expression tightened as a pang of heavy pressure raddled through her mind.
~I live like this so YOU WON'T HAVE TO, you ungrateful little insect! I feel it....I'm growing stronger....and when we get to Felucia... I'll remind you just how lonely and hated you've been in the past!~
The clatter of armor startled her. Blinking rapidly Makia looked down at the wobbling shoulder plate with an unsteady gaze. She didn't even bother to pick it up. Silently she wondered if Kurayami heard any of the conversation... Which he probably did. She'd been whispering it back and forth to herself, under her breath the whole time.

Kurayami had figured that she hadn't had much of an issue with him telling her to clean the armor, since she hadn't raised a dissident opinion on the matter. He had gone to check on their time to arrival, they were still a good few hours out from Felucia. Having done that he mentally went back over the mission that they had been given, though there wasn't much information to go on. Their target was in captivity, held by the Jedi on the planet, and the idea was to get the child out with minimal casualties. This could be difficult seeing as both of them seemed to have a rather colored history with the Felucian Order.
He was heading back to check on Makia, see if she wanted a drink or anything in return for the service. He wasn't expecting her to actually do it in the first place but she had, so a small favor was the least he could do for her, and it was something that was appropriate to offer, he would offer a full meal but he didn't have much in the way of food. He'd offer what he could though. At least those were the thoughts on his mind as he rounded the corner to see her staring intently at the shoulder plate she had shot earlier, talking to herself. His eyes narrowed as he listened. Her voice had two very distinct tones when she was addressing her reflection and...talking as her reflection for lack of a better term. The smirk on her face as she argued with herself was interesting, right before her facial expression became strained and she dropped the plate to the floor, just staring at it. He approached her slowly, hoping not to startle her too bad.
Hey Makia, you doing alright there hon?
He placed his hands gently on her shoulders, before moving his left hand under her chin and lifting her head to look her in the eyes. He cracked a small smile.
I wanted to ask you if you were in the mood for something to eat and drink. Granted I don't have much of a selection, but I'm sure I can find something to make for us so we aren't going in on an empty stomach at least. And I am surprised you actually cleaned the armor, I thought you'd say no, so consider this my way of saying thanks to you for the service.

Tension rippled through Makia's frame as Kurayami touched her. Jerking her face toward him, she relaxed rather quickly wen he put his hand under her chin and turned her eyes to meet his. It had been so very long sense anyone had done that. Blinking rapidly she thought about smiling and falling back into her random and dissociated attitude like normal, but she knew that her sanity wouldn't last much longer. Felucia, the planet, had a way of effecting people, for good or bad reasons, and she hated it. Rocks weren't ment to be sentient.
Closing her eyes slightly, she turned her head away, smiling slightly as Kurayami demolished her latent selve's argument. Perhaps he would continue to do so, and perhaps then, Marki would give up and let her be. As he asked his question and gave his reasons, she looked back to him with a thin smile and shook her head.
That would be nice. I'm not really a picky eater anyway.
She shrugged, giving a short lived laugh in the process.
Felucia's a planet you don't want to end up on, with an empty stomach.
She looked out of the viewing window for a moment, as hyperspace sprawled across it in silver blue strands. She figured she might as well tell him, just so there were no surprises once they reached the planet's surface.... but she knew there would be. Makia never quite understood how things would happen, but she could peg them decently.
I don't think I'll be the same person when we land on the planet.
She said, rather flatly, a measure of control within her voice that showed the many years of her life, and the many many years that would follow. She swallowed and cleared her throat.
A lot happened there, a lot of memories she likes to prey on.
She turned slowly, looking at him with seriousness behind her eyes, a genuine light within them.
So, before we get there, I want to thank you.

Kurayami could feel Makia tense up as his hand made contact with her. The jerky motion surprised him slightly, though he managed to keep himself from flinching at the suddenness of such. However, she seemed to relax slightly when he placed his hand under her chin and turned her gaze towards his own. The rapid blinking made him wonder what was going through the poor woman's mind. He knew that the planet was not a fun one to be on, and for that reason he wanted to be there as little time as possible.
She closed her eyes and turned away from him. Since she was looking away he didn't catch the small smile. Well, not at first. He had no idea the level of internal struggle that the woman faced, or the dissociative identity that was 'Marki.' Though he had wondered at first about the fact that she gave him one name and the Nagian another, but he figured it was just an alias that she used for occasions such as this one. The thin smile was met with a wide and genuine one.
Well, let's go see what we have to eat then shall we?
He tilted his head and quirked an eyebrow at the short laugh.
I can certainly agree there. I made sure that this craft will be far less vulnerable than that kriffing Stealth X was to falling from the sky. So we should be fine. Maybe we can steal some rations from the Jedi to eat on the way to our next destination.
He chuckled as she looked out the viewport, his dark brown eyes following her gaze. It was beautiful, but it was also something that could lull one to sleep due to how repetitive it was. He wasn't looking forward to setting down on the planet any more than she was, though she seemed bothered by, or conflicted about something. When she addressed him next he responded with an understanding nod, even if he didn't yet fully grasp her meaning.
Planets that are so alive in the Force tend to affect everyone that visits or stays there. Once we step foot on that place neither one of us is going to be the same Makia.
The flat tone was rather odd way to address it considering how happy she had seemed to be earlier, but the control spoke measures of her life experience, that much was easy to see.
Well, if it becomes a problem then we will deal with it at the appropriate time. Don't worry about me, I can handle myself. I've had to do so plenty of times, and I know asking for your trust is a lot to ask of you, but if there is any way I can help you while we are there, just tell me and I will do what I can to accommodate you.
The look she gave him was returned with a gentle smile and a curious look on his features.
What did you have in mind when it comes to thanking me?

Makia nodded a little as he told her this ship wouldn't crash like the last one. So many pilots had said that in the past, and so many had taken their words back after they came face to face with the strange and temperamental planet of Felucia. What ever the case, he continued speaking about other interesting topics, and Makia turned around, leaning back against the front controls. Crossing her legs and tilting her head, she gave Kurayami a cute little smile as she answered his last question.
Why thank you?.... Well, for taking off your Armor of course.
She giggled slightly, walking up to him and putting her hands on his shoulders. The previous mood slipped away as quickly as it had come. Makia couldn't be serious for very long, even when it had to do with her personalities. Looking upwards at him, she narrowed her eyes, a playful, almost dangerous light dancing behind their emerald lenses.
Oh, I'm quite sure you can handle yourself.
She cooed, all serious nature flung out the window and into hyperspace. Lifting her hand slowly, to rest her palm against his cheek, she grinned.
But can you handle me?
It was strange. For a brief moment, her voice had changed, dropped into a tone likened to one who was responding to a challenge, and it was almost as if Makia wasn't the one speaking. But before any of that could possibly be pondered by the Mandalorian, Makia's lips found themselves rather firmly connected with Kurayami's.

Kurayami had taken a few precautions when it came to the D-5. For one, he had done all of the maintenance himself this time, he had also installed higher flow fuel pumps as well as small coils at the outer edges of the engine shrouds that would incinerate any potentially problematic buildup before it became an issue. He was less worried about the planet remembering him and what he had done. That could be dealt with when and if the time came. He watched Makia as she turned around and leaned against the controls as she crossed her legs and tilted her head, the small smile was met with one in kind.
And why, Makia, does that require a thank you?
He continued to smile brightly as she giggled placing her hands on his shoulders. The serious mood was gone in no time, and though the smile never left his features or his eyes, his eyes narrowed slightly. Hers did the same as she met his gaze, her emerald green eyes playful, but containing a hint of danger in the light that glinted through. He knew better than to let his guard too far down in a situation where he didn't have the upper hand...and right now it would seem that they were on rather equal footing.
Well, at least we agree on one issue here...
The soft, cooing intonation in her voice was hard to miss, and when she brought her hand up slowly, resting her palm on his cheek, he brought one hand up to cover hers while the other grasped her around the waist.
You may present a decent challenge to me yes...but I know in the end that I can handle you, no matter what you throw at me Makia.
The change in her tone had not gone unnoticed by the Corellian, nor had the sense of challenge it was presenting him with. He was a Mandalorian by choice and he had always thrived in nigh-impossible situations. The fact that she was presenting one to him in the form of herself, and the fact that she was quite attractive, certainly didn't hurt his determination in this case at all. Though the voice hadn't sounded like hers. Before his train of thought could get any farther, she had pulled herself firmly into kissing him, at which point his hand that had been holding hers in place, found its way down to her waist and pulled her closer to himself as he kissed her back with equal fervor.

The small transport glides through hyperspace with its course plotted a small astro droid wheels round the cockpit and dumps into the pilots chair which was were Milik was resting his eyes. A 80 year old man with long grey hair and a walking stick by his side. A lightsabre hung from his belt but her never used it letting his Padawan Tia do all the heavy lifting and fighting. He was getting to old for all the running around it was for younger legs he always said. The droid Z4-G4 Beeps at Milik who sighs at the droid and speaks in a slow weak voice.
"I was not asleep I was resting my eyes for a moment....." The droid cuts him off a spins his top and beeps again in a long chime. "I don't always say they.....go and wake Tia up will you Z." With that the droid rolls of to look for Tia, Once out of sight Milik closed his eyes again not to sleep but to look into the future, trying to see if his plan would work but all the force would show him was that his death was near. Z rolls into a small cabin were Tia was layed in a very small bed which she had to bring her knees to her chest just to fit she looked like a blue ball. Z Activates the lights and slowly her eyes open it takes her a few moment to adjust after sleeping so long. Being in space and not doing much always made her sleep she was at peace with herself in the void of space. She gets to her feet and walks to a sink to wash she looks in a mirror after the cold water hits her face. A attracting young Pantoran looked back at her she runs her hand over her bald head and round her ear to her padawan braid which was a light purple. She then goes about putting her gear on they must be getting close now. She looks at Z
"How is he Z"
Z beeps with a sighed whistle
"That not good news you was checking on him all night yes?"
Beeps and whistles came from Z and Tia put a hand on him.
"I know, he will be fine your see. Go back and check on him while I get dressed."

After getting dressed Tia walked into the cockpit to find her master asleep again, Z was keeping a eye on him. She sat in the empty chair and switched control to her console and left her master resting he need his strength and was fading from this life. He had prepared his padawan for this time and she was ready as much as any person could be for the death of a friend, father and mentor all at once. It would leave a big hole in her life but he used to say that he would always be with her even in death.
Her eyes shoot to her left as her master wakes coughing she turns to him.
"Are you ok Master?"
".......Oh don't worry so much......Ill be fine.......Maybe a lie down is in order, I trust you will be ok to bring us to our destination.?" He gets up and used his cane to help him moved he slowly moved out of the cockpit placing a caring hand on Tia's shoulder as he left.
"Yes master ill be fine ill send Z in to you once we have left Hyperspace."
With that Milik left his padawan and went to rest leaving her with Z. He knew she was worrying about him and he knew, he would not last the trip he put on a brave face for her but he was ready to become one with the force he had a good life and trained Tia to replace him. She would have to take the trails but he was sure she was ready to become a Jedi knight.

Tia hand clicked the switch which brought them out of Hyperspace, She looked out into the emptiness of space and looked at Z4 with a confused look on her face.
"Did you plot our course right Z4..?"
Z4 span on the spot and beeps in a defiant way.
"Ok, ok what went wrong then were are we, While your at it scan the area for ships, I don't want pirates sneaking up on us alone out here."
Z4 plugs himself into the nav computer and trys to work out what went wrong and were they were.

Z4 beeps and spins his top in a matter of fact way to Tia.
"Ok Z4 we are in the right place then so why can I not see the planet?"
Z4 hits the thusters and turn the ship around showing the planet of Felucia, He spins his top and beeps in a way that could be taken as laughing.
"Ohhh so we came out of hyperspace pointing away from the planet how silly of me. Right lets head down to the planet shall we."
With that the transport moves forward towards Felucia.

Perses Project Storyline
Designation: Prometheus Classification: Research and Development; Listening Post Security: Top-secret; access restricted
Space Station Prometheus in it's inception was created to be a listening post, however in recent years the station has undergone several changes and while its initial function is still present it has been repurposed for research and development. Currently its largest project is the creation of a prototype CR90 Corvette that is rumored to be the Mysterious Man's personal ship, while this is only speculation it is no secret to those on the station several different contractors have worked on the redesign, none staying longer than a few months. Pilots Trent Weston and Krayton Jantsk has been tasked with bringing in the contractors who arrive and leave the station sedated to protect the station's secrecy.

Hans, Krayton, and Trent have a lively conversation over a game of Sabacc, having already played several games.
Look, all I'm saying is that you should have called dibs when you had the chance. Trent said to Hans, jesting over their conversation about Isabelle Even K could tell you that. He said with a nod in Krayton's direction Besides, she digs me, I'm gonna close the deal once we get done here. He of course was blowing smoke, but he sounded confident enough that it could be trueAnd with his last statement the final round of the hand came to an end and Trent, or West as most people called him, laid his hand on the table Look at that, Pure Sabacc, I win again. He laughed as he raked his winnings toward him. It wasn't a completely fair game, Trent's ability in kinetic communication gave him a huge upper hand in these types of games, he could always see through the bluff. Another hand? Or should we switch to pazaak?

Hans rolled his eyes at Trent's comments and responded in kind."I said not to hit on her. I don't say that because I'm trying to make a move, I say it because it's not usually wise to hit on your superiors."That, and Isabelle didn't like the type to respond well to Trent's type of flirting. But then, the solder's viewpoint was colored by his past experiences during his years as a marine. There had been regs against fraternization, especially with one's superiors. Perhaps Trent didn't see things the same way Hans did.
He grimaced as he saw Trent's hand, and he grimaced. This would be the last time he played Sabacc for a little while..."Foiled again..."He shook his head, not wanting to lose any more of his credits today."I think I'm done gambling for tonight."

Krayton was silent as West laid his hand on the table. The man had so many 'tells' it was hard to say where one stopped and another started. But most've 'em involved talking too much. Tossing his hand on the table and collecting the cards, he replied in trademark deadpan
Just 'cause you lay down a few good hands, don't mean you're a shoe-in to be tangled up in her britches, West.
Rising from the table, which tilted ever so slightly from having one bent leg, Jantsk moved over to his footlocker and retrieved an alum canteen and three small glasses. Reaching into his flight suit with grease-stained fingers, he produced a smoke-stick and a book of matches, and lit the smoke with the final match-stick from the package. He folded the matchbook closed and shoved it under the bent table leg, testing the surface for steadiness. Apparently satisfied with his bodge, the pilot set the canteen and glasses on the tabletop, unscrewing the canteen and pouring three liberal shots of clear liquid.
'long as there's shine to go around, I could care less about the gambling. The cards usually get in the way of my drinkin'. Not th'other way round. Bottoms up, boys.
The hooch hit like a rancor in a bantha herd, and Kay sucked on a tooth as the liquid burned down his throat. Setting the glass down on the table, he checked his wrist chron.
Damn. 02:50. I'm due for ops listening post and comms at oh-three-hundred. He zipped up his flight suit, which had previously been open to the waist, exposing a dirty tank top and several military tats underneath. What's the daily for tomorrow, Hans? We expecting another drop? Making for the door, he doubled back to prod at the pile of cards on the table. There was a smile behind his eyes as he taunted the other pilot. Next time, Weston. You won't be so lucky.

Trent sat back and smiled victoriously Aw, c'mon guys. Beginner's luck, a few more hands I'm sure you'd win some credits back. Of course it wasn't beginner's luck, Trent wasn't even a beginner, far from it. But West always liked to push his limits, and others, to see how far he could go before they were about to have a total freak out. So far Kay and Hans were proving resilient and he liked that. Most people didn't like his excessive talking, not to say they did, but they at least haven't gotten angry about itTrent stood up from his chair and rounded the table with a quick jog to close the distance between himself and them Hey wait up, I've got an idea. He came between them wrapping an arm around each of them and patting a hand down on their far shoulder It came to me a few seconds ago, since I've cleaned you out for credits and I doubt you two would want to bet shifts, rations, or really anything else but credits, I thought to myself, 'what would these boys like more than gambling?' and it was almost like a little voice in my head said 'gambling gets in the way of drinking' I'm paraphrasing of course. So I guess what I'm getting at is how about a drinking game instead?
He smiled once again, cheerful and carefree, an odd thing to see out here on the fringes Though I could really use some food too, a bantha burger with bacon, protato wedges, and a blue milkshake. He stared into the distance as he spoke with a whimsical tone about a dream meal, or at least his current dream meal, before he looked at the two of them What? I love slushies as much as the next guy, probably more, but sometimes it's nice to switch it up. He visibly changed trains of thought, or at least tried What were we talking about again? And then it came back to him and before anyone could answer Oh yeah! A drinking game. Whadduya say?
