Saris vs. CosetteLocation: Tatooine: Jabba the Hutt Palace: Rancor PitRules/Weapons:Two weapons max, minimal use of the force, max use of skills and environment advantages.Special Considerations: Match ends whenever both writer's believe that their partial hand in this training match has been met or the other has been subdued. The rancor may be released from its pen and then partially controlled per max of two movable actions on its part by either writer but only after the 10th post of each writer.
The Rancor PitJabba's Palace, is located in the desert of Tatooine known as the Dune Sea and is home to the gangster high boss Jabba the Hutt. The pit located beneath his palace courts having only two small access doors one on each side with a heavy door that was capable of dropping when the terminal was either activated from the outside or smashed, intermittently in lock down providing no way out for either combatant until a win is afforded. In the back ground you see corpses and bones with no flesh left on them from the Rancor's unfortunate prey. The Rancor, a giant creature with long claws, short tail and tough skin roars in the background behind a closed door. The smell of the place is all but settling to even the toughest of stomachs and the site only as much disturbing. Drops of stale water or blood can be heard dripping from the prison like grates onto the ground. There is little light that shines down in the pit but what light there is, only really marks the centerfold of the pit where a few bones and small rocks lay scattered about. A Gamorrese (also called Gamorrean) arg'garok or otherwise known as a war axe lay on the ground just off to the right closes to the Rancor's pen door. Laughing can be heard from above as tenants of the palace watch the form of entertainment that awaits by the trapped occupants.
There is one way in from the trapped door above and the only way out is either through victory or death by consumption of the Resident Rancor who persistently awaits its exit from the other side of the armored door.

In the effort to free my fellow Jedi padawan frozen in carbonite during the late hours of the palace after a successful infiltration the only reason I would step on this planet for. I had somehow gotten caught in midst of me de-thawing her and when confronted found myself out gunned. More then what my lightsaber shotos and my current experience could afford my life at the moment. So I chose not to attack for now and wait to see what awaited me. I was soon greeted by a hair raising evil laugh, not that I had much hair but regardless I turn around to see many blasters charged and pointed at me and the sight of a disgusting hologram of hutt. Not sure what my next move should be, I again wait out and see what develop's.
I am pushed towards a old rusted looking grate flooring concealing the fact that I have my lightsabers by doing my best to mind trick everyone in the room that I was defenseless. Perpetually failing at finishing the release of my friend in the carbonite, it only strengthened my will for whatever awaited me. I now stood still blasters trained on me in front of the hologramed hutt. It spoke to me, I remain silent and survey my surroundings as inconspicuously as possible. Thinking of a right time to utilize a plan I had been scheming when all of a sudden the flooring I had been standing on retracted from below my feet resulting in me disappearing from sight and me once again being trapped so to speak.
I fall onto my butt and survey my new environment. What a horrific sight i think to myself as I get up rubbing my butt and look around. I shake off the irritating throbbing that now flows through my buttocks. I am silent and listen to what I can as the door closes above me. Trapped as my skills in using force jump were merely a thought at this moment and so I sit in the center to where most of my body is in the dark as to hide my presence from whatever made the loud snarling noises. My figure only a mere outline at this point and so with both my shoto sabers in hand I erect a customary meditation platform and listen to the force as it talks to me.

After being pushed roughly through one of the ground-level entrances, Saris spun and lunged at his attackers with a snarl, only to meet the metal bars of the door as it clanged shut. He snarled again before turning away and stooping to pick up the training sabers they had thrown in ahead of him, then stepped forward into the actual room itself. The dirt-covered floor and stone walls were cool to his eyes, so the silver glow of warm bodies stood out to him, one being the rancor in its cage and the other a humanoid form smaller than his own. Hanging the training sabers on what remained of his belt, most of his equipment had been taken upon capture, he stepped closer to get a better look. A girl, and a zabrak. And probably not here by choice any more than I am.
He wasn't particularly good at using the force when it came to telepathic aspects, but even he could sense that she was drawing on the force as she sat there in front of him. A jedi too then. He snorted and glanced up at the hutt through the grate in the ceiling, then back down at the girl. "I think we're supposed to kill each other." He didn't move to attack though. He'd never been what you might call a good jedi student, but he wasn't about to kill a fellow padawan just for some hutt's entertainment.

She simply said..
"Hmm..."
As she acknowledged what the new comer said as she had been feeling out around her with the force in a tranquil manner. She got up to her feet from the indian styled meditation and turned on her heel to face this being.
"I sense great conflict within you... be mindful of your thoughts..."
She then bowed to the being and presented a formal greeting in the jedi way.
"I am Cosette An, Jedi Padawan of the Jedi Praxium of Yavin... What is yours my opponent?"
She said as she returned from her formal bow.
She wasn't exactly the most attuned in talking but more of a handicap in doing and making things happen, perhaps this was why the hutt or whom ever chose her in the kidnapping. She was a doer and was quite well attuned to her fighting forms that she had learned so far, but because she was a doer she had created her own fault in a way as it hindered her training in some aspects.

Be mindful of your thoughts? Wow... The masters really did a number on this one. She can't be much older than I am and she already sounds like a recording from one of the holocrons at the temple. Even on a good day, Saris found the majority of the jedi order's mantras to be stale and usually inapplicable to actual daily life. That or exceedingly redundant and just plain useless. Take "be mindful of your thoughts", for instance. Not only are you supposed to think the thought originally, but then you're supposed to go back and think about thinking the original thought, wasting twice as much time on a thing that probably didn't even need to be thought up in the first place. Screw that.
And then she introduced herself. Another student from the praxeum? He ran her name through his mind but came up empty. He'd never heard of any cosette at the temple, but then again there were a fair number of students he'd never met. Though he found it unlikely that he would have been able to entirely avoid seeing her. Maybe she wasn't a real padawan after all. Or maybe she just hasn't been around the temple much lately. I need to stop trying to justify this. A year ago, he wouldn't have hesitated to justify away any guilt he would feel, but apparently the masters had made an impact with him as well.
"What's my what? My name? Call me Saris." Because it'll be SO much easier to kill each other now that we know names... "You wouldn't happen to have an escape plan to go along with those platitudes, would you?"

"Escape plan?" I smirked as I thought.. Why should I have a escape plan in an unscapeable situation right now and even if I came up with one it would surely have to be adapted when the situation changed. So I ensure my feet are well planted as I raise my head from my hooded veil.
"Words have no meaning without action...."
Saying this I meant to start the plan of distraction and a series of events that would lead up to our hopeful escape.
I use the force to unclip my lightsaber by pulling it from my belt to my hand I ignite the end of my tonfa lightsaber as I keep the other dormant and watch for his reaction.

Aaaand... she's talking in circles again. Shoulda figured. Then he readied himself for her to put that action she'd mentioned to good use, igniting both of his own sabers and waiting for her to make her move. Then waiting... and waiting... Finally, he'd taken just about all the irony he could and a chuckle escaped his throat, quickly growing into a full on laugh at the situation. "HAHAHA!! I'm... haha! ...sorry, hehehe... but that's just hilarious. Hehe... Do you actually believe anything you're saying?" He raised his left-hand saber to point at her. "Because if you did, you'd have attacked me by now." He hadn't intended to get all snide and mean about it, but he had a thing for irony and he wasn't feeling particularly sociable after being kidnapped and thrown in here to fight to the death, so his natural superiority complex was beginning to show through again.
