Forgive my slight Master Jade, I stand corrected. What is my next assignment then? I would like to return to Ryloth and continue working there to rebuild the ruined city and bring the populace back to a normal life.
The small woman spoke with the wisdom of experience, a voice that was familiar to Mahir, though he had not heard it since his uncle had died. He released his frustrations with ewok as she spoke and regained his focus, when he spoke it was again in a level voice. Mahir waited with patience for an answer to his question, and would be on his way as soon as he had been given his next task. He only hoped it wasn't to sit around and wait, he hated waiting.

Rawkill had given a nod in greeting to Master Sacuru when the Wookiee Jedi Master, and his new fellow Council of First Knowledge colleague, arrived to the High Council Spire and apologised for his lateness. Knowing full well of his former Master's mastery of Telepathy, Rawkill expected the Wookiee to utalize his skills to help bring himself up to speed on what had been happening so far. Regardless of all that, Jade then spoke up, and effectively put the discussion between himself and Mahir to rest a couple moments later, before pressing on to open the floor for idea's about what their next move should be considering the current state of events. It was interesting to note just how quickly Mahir's attitude changed the moment that Jade spoke, but it was purely something that he would think upon at a later time, for now there was indeed work to be done =Jedi Master Rawkill= There is a great deal of work to be done Master Jade. Thankfully reconstruction efforts on Yavin IV are almost complete, meaning that Master Tuhlute can take full reigns without my presence there, allowing me to attend to a number of academies that must be visited for assessment of damage and repairs, and a great deal of work that the Council of First Knowledge must attend to, which Master Sacuru's assistance in will be a great boon. As to our current relationship with the Republic, I believe we should set a pair of Jedi Scholars to the task, and as much as I believe one night is a bit of a rush to complete such an important document in, I am sure whom ever gets handed this task will be up to it, especially considering the nature of the document... However, I do have one stipulation that must be made, and that is that Crom'nen be held accountable for his self-confessed crimes. So long as as a war criminal sits amongst the Republic, we cannot ally with them and still truly call ourselves defenders of peace and justice.

Master Sacuru had remained in silent contemplation as Master Jade, then Knight Mahir, and Master Rawkill spoke in turn, still no more clued in than he was before, although it seemed that the discussion seemed to revolve around the events of Ryloth and the Republic Senate. With that as his starting point, he tentatively reached out through the force to search the minds of both Master Rawkill and Knight Mahir to garner their views upon what had happened thus far, since the pair were both present and reaching out to Master Jade and Master Calmcacil over such distances would require a little more effort than he thought was necessary. Hundreds of images started to flash through his minds eye as he viewed first brief parts of the events of Ryloth, most of which involved the attack by the Pirates, with a few small glimpses of the aftermath, before skipping ahead to images from the Senate... Trial? Inquest? Farce? Master Sacuru was not exactly sure how to clasify it, but either way, he saw it from both Mahir's and Rawkill's perspectives, the two seemingly interchanging, before finally finishing with the events of the current meeting to just before he arrived. To the outside observer, it all happened in a mere matter of seconds, as Master Sacuru closed his eyes one moment, before reopening them again a few moments later as he regarded the two Jedi. It was a rather, interesting, series of events that had lead up to where they were now, to say the very least, and it was not going to be any sort of easy road to get things fixed, but it was one they really had no choice but to travel now. At any rate, as Master Jade pointed out, they needed to make some plans about the path they would take from here, and so far both Rawkill and Mahir had already put forth suggestions, although the Jedi Knight's concerns were more for his next mission, which was understandable // At the very least, Knight Mahir, take this as a cautionary warning, for as Master Jade stated, unity is what we lacked in this situation. As to your request to return to Ryloth, having seen what happened there, I would advise caution, but at the same time, perhaps it would indeed do some good to send you back there, especially since you are already known by the people... //

Nahallus and Aellemere brought up the lead, with Vordaan, Nahodaanos, and Gorlaana just behind them, followed by Lucgard, and finally the 10 Massassai Guards behind them, the group stopping just outside the doors of the High Council chambers, undoubtedly making for a strange sight to be seen by the Guardians currently standing guard of the doors. Lucgard moved forward as Vordaan shifted his mace from his shoulder and handed it to the Kissai, before Nahallus, Aellemere and Vordaan approached the doors and stopped in front of them, not wanting to accidentally provoke the Guardians as Aellemere turned to the closest guard Please kindly inform your Masters that High Exarch Nahallus of the Th'tremsi seeks an audience...

Caution and I do NOT get along, there is to much to be done. I understand the risks and accept the consequences of living a life in motion, always seeking to better the lives around me. I don't alway choose well, but I never let my enemy choose for me how to live my life of service to the beings of this Republic.
I turned to face the wookie before speaking, and I explain as best I can that in my up bringing caution ended up killing a being more often than an errant action did. I had learned the hard way that to live amongst the stars I had to be always moving, never hesitating, lest gravity pull me into a hole I cannot get out of; or send me into a collision that I can neither avoid nor survive. Adi had great difficulty trying to restrain my impulsiveness, and only achieved some slight success in the area before he vanished. I cannot afford to hesitate, or exercise thoughtful, analytical caution as most can. I have seen, and heard, and felt, and done to much already. If I stop, or am stopped, I will likely die as it all catches up to and crushes me.
I grew up flying where no-one had ever flown before, charting new hyperspace routes with my adopted uncle. The slightest error would hurt the ship and probably us as well, and the slightest hesitation would get us both killed, as it had killed so many of our acquaintances and friends. I was taught to fly, and live, by instinct and snap judgments. While not an ideal life and certainly frowned upon by "polite" societies throughout the galaxy, it is the only life I know how to live. And it may well be too late to learn any other, at least for me. But who knows, 160 years is a long time, perhaps I could be changed before I lose my ability to react to this galaxy...

Green eyes shot a glance over at the Wookiee. If he did try to read her mind, he wouldn't like what he found---the mildest defense would take the shape of a wall of fire, and that was only the outermost perimeter. She smiled faintly, head tilted almost as if listening when the presence of the Th'tremsi Exarch was announced.
She waved a hand towards the door while arching an eyebrow over at Masters Rawkill and Calmcacil.
We may as well see what he has to say.
A faint sigh of exasperation at the interchange between Mahir, Sacuru, and Rawkill lost much in translation over the distance of communication. She was attempting to preserve the unity in spirit of the Order while they were focusing on differences, and Mahir had seemed to listen to her at first. It was the job of the Jedi Masters to watch the Knights and see where their talents lay, assigning them to places where they would be most useful without stifling their individuality. And yet, mustn't some individuality give way in order to preserve the greater harmony? This question had kept her operations within the embrace of the Order many years longer than she had initially expected.
Shihab Mahir, she once again addressed him, I ask of you only that in acting instinctively you spare a moment of thought for those whose lives will be impacted by your decisions and choices, whether simply bystanders or your fellow Jedi who may be operating on the front lines with you. We are only as strong as our allies, and we should be free to trust each other as Jedi.
Trouble shot through her eyes fleetingly. In an ideal world that should be the case. One should not have to watch one's back from a Jedi, especially if one was one's self a Jedi. And yet, all too often, that was where the greatest danger could be found. The idealistic Jade wanted to change that, but the pragmatic warrior Jade expected that it would take centuries at least to make this a reality in fact, not just in name.
Fingers tapped the arm of her chair as she introspectively faced the expectation that one day, she too would once again be cut down by a lightsaber to the back. A frown creased her forehead between raven black eyebrows as her fist clenched. Seconds later she resumed her normal posture, hands lightly resting along the arms of her chair.

Can you not trust me as a Jedi? If so, then I will go. I am not like many Jedi, but I do fight for the light, and always will. You may trust that if nothing else. I have no desire cause discord, but my stature makes fitting in difficult, both socially and physically. Shall I stay or go?
Mahir withdrew his presence from the force, shutting himself in, putting his concerns and desires in a box for latter. He still stood by his designated seat, now facing the projection of Jade. Probing his mind now would likely find a very different frame than the last probe, his mind now resembled a vast warehouse, clean and structured, and very organized, though how it was organized was anyone's guess. Mahir knew he wasn't perfect, he only hoped he'd still be able to get back up and continue the path set before him when the masters finished with him.

Rawkill couldn't help but have his curiosity piqued at Mahir's words, wondering just whom the Stenax considered an enemy, but it was not a topic he was going to broach, at least not right now. For now at least, he made no comment to Mahir, and merely nodded as Master Jade suggested they hear the new arrivals out, to see what they wanted from the Jedi. He further remained silent as Mahir questioned Jade about whether she trusted him as a Jedi or not, knowing his response would merely cause more trouble than it was worth, and so he waited

Master Sacuru listened intently to the Jedi Knight's story, making sure to take it all into due consideration, especially the mention of Master Adieumus Matango, a man that he had heard much about from other Jedi, whilst never having had the chance to meet the man himself. Even with that in mind, Master Sacuru was not overly surprised that Mahir had been one of the man's padawan's, never having had an overly high opinion of the man's methods or teaching ability, based upon what he had heard or seen. As Jade reiterated the same message of caution, he could sense the shift in the Stenax's mood, most prominent when the Jedi Knight withdrew himself, bringing up his own mental defences, which weren't exactly a match for a Jedi Master skilled in telepathy, but that was not the point, partly because Master Sacuru was not one to pry. He found it interesting to note just how guarded both Jade and Mahir were acting with their thoughts, especially since they were both amongst a group of Jedi, though he had a feeling that was because they both knew he was a telepath. Yet again, he found his mind wandering upon idle thoughts, a fact that was not really helped any by the current situation, as the Wookiee Jedi Master considered both Jade's words to Mahir, and Mahir's response to Jade. He tried to keep an open mind about the situation, but he couldn't help but find himself somewhat troubled by Mahir, not because of his race or outward appearance, but because of the man's inner ideologies, and that whilst they shared certain Jedi views, were on the most part so very out of sync with the Jedi as a whole. Master Sacuru couldn't help but produce what amounted to his species version of a frown // I would be remiss to admit that any of this gives me great confidence at the moment. I cannot help but wonder if you really do belong amongst the Jedi, with such a lack of restraint. As a Jedi, your actions and decisions do not affect just you, but those around you, a point Master Jade has already pointed out. Where you might act under the assumption that the risk and consequences will only fall upon you in your quest to betters those around you, a lack of moderation can lead to those same lives suffering the consequences instead. As a defender of the Republic, you have my trust, but as a Jedi, I cannot honestly say the same... // Master Sacuru then turned his attention to his Guardians that stood guard at the doors of the Chambers, moments before they moved aside and motioned towards the group of Th'tremsi to enter the Council Chambers, their request for an audience having been granted

As the Guardians moved to the side, Nahallus, Aellemere and Vordaan made their way into the chambers of the High Council of the Jedi, with Nahallus and Aellemere in the lead and Vordaan behind them as a rear-guard of sorts, as the small group stopped in the middle of the council seats. The three Th'tremsi gave a short bow to the Jedi Masters, both physically present and those that were appearing via holo image, before they all straightened up and Nahallus took charge of getting this conversation going May the light embrace you, my fellow warriors of the light. I am High Exarch Nahallus, and with me is my advisor Exarch Aellemere, and one of the Field Marshal's of the Army of the Light, General Vordaan. I come before you today as the leader of The Th'tremsi, to once again join our people with the Jedi... Nahallus had motioned to Aellemere and Vordaan when he introduced them both, with Aellemere nodding in greetings and Vordaan doing a quick snap to attention before standing at ease again. It had been a few hundred years since the Th'tremsi had interacted with the Jedi, but Nahallus was confident they could still work side by side to fight against the forces of the darkness, for that had been the mandate of both the Jedi and the Th'tremsi since their inceptions all those years ago

Shihab, it is not necessary for you to leave at this time, however, you seem to focus on your differences from the rest of us as opposed to the things we have in common. She was referring to the difficulty he seemed to feel in fitting in. The Jedi Order was made up of many different species, and she herself was not completely human. Unlike many though, she would never return to her family or homeworld, so she had truly been cut off from the things that were familiar. When we join the Order, we choose to give up some of our individual freedom in order to belong to something bigger than ourselves. We serve something outside ourselves. I wonder if this is something you have considered. There are many who do good work outside the sphere of the Jedi Order. However, I think it fitting that you return to Ryloth, and perhaps you will even find other Jedi who may wish to help in that area.
That said, she turned her attention to the delegation of Th'tremsi. So far, Sacuru, Rawkill, and Shihab seemed to be agitating each other in a cycle without actually progressing and healing the rift that had occurred earlier. She suspected they would have to talk more at some point, but for now, there were other things to deal with.
It had been centuries since the Jedi had had dealings with the Th'tremsi, if the archives were correct, and Jade knew she'd spend time later doing some research. For now, she made note of the introductions in order to remember them in the future. She inclined her head momentarily in a polite nod to the High Exarch and nonverbally acknowledged the Exarch and the rest of the delegation in front of the High Council.
And you as well, High Exarch Nahallus, she replied as the other Jedi present seemed reluctant to the be first to speak, welcome to the Jedi Temple. As you know, the Jedi have no standing army. In what capacity, pragmatically, or rather---how do you envision a renewal of the Jedi/Th'tremsi relations to work out?
She was not hostile, rather she was curious. In light of the interesting political situation between the Senate the Jedi, this reappearance of the Th'tremsi was intriguing.

Mahir stood to one side, silent now the focus had shifted to the delegation. He considered leaving but he had not been dismissed, so he stayed quiet and patient. Master Sacuru's statement of no-confidence was taken as a vote for Mahir to leave the order, Master Jade countered with a vote to stay. Masters Rawkill and Calmcacil had thus far refrained from speaking on the matter, and likely would not speak on the matter again for the time being. Given the previous disagreements with Master Rawkill, Mahir doubted that he would be missed but did not presume that Rawkill would vote that he leave. Perhaps it was time to leave the order anyway, perhaps it was time to find his own path again. He had come to learn how to use his skills, and the war had done much to drill the skills into habits. It had also left him with a great deal of pain, but he kept that in a vault locked deep inside, the same place all the other pain had gone through out his life. He'd never had time to grieve for anyone, or even properly process the loss, but he kept moving as he always had, never looking back, always trying to make his choices good. Perhaps the masters here could sense the vault, it lay at his core, behind a vibrant if troubled life, cold and tightly sealed, but how much pain was locked away even Mahir could not say. He breathed deep, slow, even breaths, standing quietly to one side, observing the proceedings as animately as any marble bust.

Nahallus gave a nod of his head as the Female Jedi Master that was appearing via hololink returned his greeting and questioned after how his proposed renewal of relations would work between the two groups. It was obviously a very easy question for him to answer, especially in light of the recent "schism" between the Republic and Jedi. In fact, the strained relations between the two groups had been part of the reason that he had chosen now to approach the Jedi, since they would need all the allies they could get in this war against the darkness In ages past, it was common for my people to train alongside the Jedi in their temples, and share our knowledge, not only to better combat the devotee's of Bogan that seek the destruction of Ashla, but to help each other progress forward. And, as you yourself stated, the Jedi have no standing army, but my people do, and we would be glad to offer their services to the Jedi Order to help in what ever capacity you may need them. Where our distant cousins, the pureblood sith, serve the Sith Lords as Warriors of Darkness, we seek to balance this, and serve the Jedi Order as Warriors of the Light...

Rawkill took note as Mahir moved to one side, as Jade seemed to give him permission to head back to Ryloth, whilst also telling him to remain here for the time being, two rather contradictory statements to say the least. Whilst he had his reservations about Mahir, and the Stenax's place and future within the Jedi Order, for the time being at least, it was a decision that would be better made by Mahir himself. But that was a matter for Master Jade to handle, since he rather prefered not to ruffle any more feathers or steal anyone's thunder on the matter, and it was also for that same reason that he had let Jade greet the Th'tremsi delegation first, since by rights, it was the High Council's duty to greet foreign delegates. But now that the initial greetings were out of the way, he could at least now respectfully greet these long lost allies of the Jedi, at least assuming of course his research on them from the Arhives data was correct, some of which was already confirmed to be true by the High Exarch's own words. Considering the Council of First Knowledge's rather diminished numbers, and the increase in the number of enemies of the Jedi, The High Exarch's help could prove quite critical in ensuring certain artifacts remained out of the hands of the Empire or the Sith =Jedi Master Rawkill= It is indeed an honour to meet you High Exarch. Far too long have our people remained apart from one another, but Ashla has indeed been kind to reunite us both at this time. I know at the very least, that the Council of First Knowledge would find your help to be a great boon to our cause, there are many a dark artifact spread throughout the stars that Master Sacuru and myself could more easily collect and store away with your people's assistance...

Jade of course did not make a face at Master Rawkill however much she might have been tempted to do so. Instead she smiled faintly over at Mahir, hoping that he would understand. She'd told him that his return to Ryloth was fine, however, she also knew he had been unsettled by this Council. Therefore, she was providing him with the opportunity to speak to her later alone after the meeting. If he did not wish to do so, he was perfectly at liberty to leave and carry on.
She turned back to the delegation of Th'Tremsi, already thinking of several possibilities in addition to what Master Rawkill had just stated.
High Exarch, I think there are academies that would welcome the return of your people in alliance with the Jedi. In fact, in light of GALSAF's recent escapades on Yavin IV, I would guess that the Praxeum there would be agreeable to a delegation of Th'tremsi Warriors of the Light.

*Aerandir had remained vigilant of the conversation, feeling mostly detached from the situation regarding the Republic, not having been able to keep up with what was going on other than a bare outline; this he had left to those more knowledgeable and aware of the situation, taking in what info he could as it was discussed. As that matter was dealt with, another visitor to the Council arrived, a "High Exarch" of the Th'tremsi people. "Th'tremsi"... it was a vaguely familiar name to him, one he couldn't quite place why.
He gave a nod in return to Master Jade's arched eyebrow and suggestion that they might as well hear him out, then watched and listened as the High Exarch, Nahallus, appeared and addressed the Council. Now Aerandir remembered the name of "Th'tremsi," a people almost as ancient as the Sith species themselves, though perhaps have fared far better in their survival rate. The Exarch spoke of their past history with the Jedi, their existence as "Warriors of the Light," and offered their services as an army support for the Jedi, a defense force, considering their recent shaky relations with the Republic...
Aerandir was fortunate, to have a loyal independent defense force allied with him, that had followed him from his homeworld, to Belkadan, and now to Felucia; it gave him no need for a supplied defense force from any government, and it also gave them flexibility and full control over their own forces; upkeep of their units was the only concern, but they found ways to make ends meet. However, not all Jedi establishments had such a force, and so the offer of light-sided defense forces to the Order was definitely something Aerandir felt was quite welcome, as Masters Rawkill and Jade seemed to agree. So Aerandir's holographic form, arms still folded, nodded to show his approval as well.* :: This is a most generous offer, High Exarch, and we are most grateful. Your aid would be most welcome, and your timing is quite fortuitous. ::

So the council was not inclined to make a decision about him just yet, well time would likely change that as it changed all things, though Mahir could not say if things would change for better or for worse. He noticed Master Calmcacil was still content to hide behind ignorance, a disappointing, but not unexpected reaction. Mahir was only hoped the man's indecision didn't cost him later, as such hesitation had cost him. Again, time would tell, unless Ashla decided to impart some flash of incite to one the masters gathered here...
Mahir was glad the Jedi were taking steps build their strength as an order by allying with the Th'tremsi, Ryloth was just the tip of the iceberg, if his life's experience was a reliable indicator. Still, he fully expected the order to survive with flying colors, these Jedi masters might not approve of his choices but he felt they had similar core purpose if only in the preservation of the order itself. He maintained his position and lack of outward expression, having failed to notice Mater Jade's glance as he focused on listening to the proceedings until he was addressed directly again or everyone left. He idly wondered if anyone would look into training the Twi'lek like the force-user who had cared for him upon his return to the planet Ryloth, and if Th'tremsi would be interested in setting up a cross-training regime with the Twi'lek warrior caste. The thought of force users flying death seeds almost made him shiver. Master Sacuru might have picked up these thoughts as they were not guarded, Mahir having nothing but pain to hide from the order.

Master Sacuru gave a nod to the High Exarch after his fellow Masters Rawkill, Jade and Calmcacil all gave their approval towards reforming an alliance between the Jedi Order and The Th'tremsi people. Much like Rawkill, Sacuru could definitely see how the help of the Th'tremsi could greatly benefit the work of the Council of First Knowledge, especially if they could make use of some of their Massassai Warriors // Both myself and Master Rawkill share the same sentiments regadring the Council of First Knowledge, So I believe that makes 4 Jedi Masters in agreement. If I'm not mistaken, that means we have an alliance High Exarch... //

Nahallus hadn't know exactly what sort of reaction to expect from the Jedi Order when he first decided to approach them about reviving the alliance between his people and the Jedi Order, but what ever he had thought might happen, this resounding agreement amongst these Masters was indeed a welcome surprise. With the topic, for the most part, already turning towards military assistance, Nahallus knew that it was a conversation better handled by General Vordaan, since his knowledge of the army went only so far May Ashla's blessing be upon you all on this day. As far as aid with the Council of First Knowledge's need to store dangerous artifacts goes, the vaults beneath Karabor will help aid in their storage. As for troop assistance, General Vordaan, I concede to you... General Vordaan gave a short bow to Nahallus, before turning his attention to the council of Jedi Masters, as he already started to puzzle out lists of troops to lend in aid of the Council of First Knowledge, and which commanders and Garrisons to send where to help aid the various Jedi Academies. Once they returned to Talus, he would be able to better puzzle out who to send where, but already he had a rough idea of deployment options Good fortune to you all. As far as Warriors go, There is several Battalions that are ready and able to be shipped out to aid the Academies that require their aid. As to the Council of First Knowledge's needs, I believe there is a Platoon that would be a good fit. Obviously I would need to finalize it all back on Talus, but we have more than enough Warriors ready and willing to lend aid.

Rawkill quickly glanced at his fellow Jedi Master's, noting that now that the alliance between the Jedi and the Th'tremsi had been officially struck and taken care of, there seemed little else more to say. He then looked at no one in particular as he spoke next, since his njext statement was directed at everyone currently present =Jedi Master Rawkill= Well I do believe that wraps that matter up. It is been a great honour to have met you High Exarch, and I am sure our two people's will have a long and properous alliance, I look forward to seeing you again on Talus. And since that wraps these discussions up, I believe this meeting is adjourned...
