Sensing that things were now moving towards preparing for the defence of Kuat, Zion gave a nod towards Jena moments before a message would arrive to her datapad with a single message "The Medical Fleet will meet you at Kuat". With that his holoimage would then disappear as Zion cut off the connection from his end, his business with the Jedi Order done, not that he really did anything

And so they were to help the Sith, Raylia's breath heavy as she watched the holo image of the Sith vanish. She had known her once, long ago before she had risen to become the touchstone of the Sith. Raylia had often wondered in the long distant past if there was something that could be done to sway the lost soul back towards the path of the righteous, and perhaps if she had stayed longer on Naboo after her resurrection, if something had not happened to Noja, maybe? But those were questions that had no answers now. That path was lost to her and the cruelty of the one known as Sinistra now was the stuff of nightmares. Pragmatism won the day though, she was right in many things. Her grasp of perception, politics and the galactic stage of players was spot on and they could only agree that strength in numbers would stop this foe.
Raylia grabbed her datapad and pulled up a quick check on Master Rawkill. With a smile, she tucked it away again and sought out the ewok master, who once she had located him, noticed that he barely was as tall as her waist. She looked down and bowed to him in deference and greeting, her deep blue stripped lekku falling forward over her shoulder before she straightened up to her full height. At 6 feet tall, she was lithe, statuesque, and graceful in her movements and mannerisms. She greeted the diminutive master warmly. "Master Rawkill, I am Master Venci, archivist and professor of archaeology. It is an honor to serve with you on the Council of First Knowledge. I am based here on Coruscant and have an office down in the Archives, if you would prefer a quieter place to get acquainted?"

*Syren gave the woman a cautious smile, but did not offer her hand.* "Hello Jade. I'm called Syren." *She introduced herself, previous encounters with the Jedi indicated that they liked to know who you were by name.* "I am fine, a little overwhelmed by..." *Syren waved her hand in the direction of the amassed Jedi,* "...this, I suppose." *C4-G6 interrupted for just a moment to excuse himself now that he had escorted her to the Council Chambers, before it disappeared into the turbolift once more. Syren turned back to Jade.* "Since you are the first flesh and blood person to have talked to me here, I received some instructions from Jedi Master Pulastra to seek out the Jedi because of some particular talents that I am able to perform. A certain lack of control in a moving of objects with the...Force? That is the correct word. Basic is not my first choice in conversation, I may have it wrong." *She seemed unsure of herself, the accent still thick when she spoke.* Jade nodded. It was hard not to feel something when in the Spire, but she reminded herself it was ultimately just a building. A beautiful building with a long history and tradition, but a building nonetheless."Jago Pulastra of Yavin, I believe?" she answered almost thinking aloud. His last name was always hard to pronounce, but she made an effort anyway. Jade smiled warmly. "Basic isn't my first language either." At least this conversation had not revolved around soft 'c' words. Those were the really tricky ones. "There are plenty of Jedi here." She half-turned to look. The room was still pretty full. "What do you mean by lack of control?" Jade queried. Jago had noticed particular talents, but according to Syren's own words it seemed on the surface like a lack of talent. She'd figure this out eventually.

She decided it was close enough and moved on.* "There was an incident and apparently, I showed some Jedi abilities of which I was not aware. He suggested that I seek out the Jedi when I was ready to do so. It took me some time to come to grips with this, as I had undergone trials, similar to those of Jedi initiates when I was a child. I did not pass at the time, as far as I can remember..." *Syren turned her head towards the window.* "Before I met Master Pulastra, the doctors on Dac had diagnosed me with... amnesia? Is that what it is called? No memories of who you are? Or a large chunk of your life seems to be missing in your memory?" *Her green eyes seemed to bore into Jades when she turned back for confirmation that she had it right. Syren did not like that she could not remember herself. It made her feel weak, and it was frustrating at times to feel like knowledge was so close at hand, but locked away.*{/i]{/color]

Arcturus' mouth quirked slightly. He could relate to the hermit lifestyle...he had one himself more or less; he was after all separated from the vast majority of the order by parsecs upon parsecs of space.
"It's easy to forget the needs of the people in isolation..."
This, more than anything else put Arcturus at ease - this man was a kindred soul, a like mind, separated from the order like himself in many ways. At the mans - Devlin's - insistence of the dropping of titles, Arcturus nodded his head.
"Call me Arcturus then. I feel we are going to have a long road ahead of us...the exploration corp needs a large overhaul, a new praxeum ship, not to mention an updated flight academy for the aces. In all, we -"
He was interrupted as the cloaked and hooded man from before walked up and addressed the two. Masters he called them, and Arcturus mentally rolled his eyes; titles, station, etcetera. This is what he had been reduced to? He shook the thoughts from his mind...reminding himself once again that he was here to SERVE. He would bear whatever perceived hardships the station had to offer...but still...inwardly...Arcturus longed for the time that he could retreat into the safety and comfort of space...
"Knight Sorrows, Master Dewe." He replied, gesturing to himself and Devlin in kind. "How may we help you?"

"Formalities" Jerek brushed the correction aside with a gentle wave of his hand, as if moving past the introductory stages of conversation. Indeed, pleasantries were far less important, given the current situation and their involvement in it. His shaded face betrayed but a smile as his hand dropped once more, and he let out a relaxed breath, easing into the role of a Jedi like an actor on stage. Confusing, at times, was the responsibility of a man who had to portray the image of what he was in truth. After all these years, Jerek had assumed it would get easier.
It never did. "Your new roles place you in the command of a certain pedigree of pilots; as you heard, I've come into the responsibility for the evacuation and defense of the Kuati citizens on the Drive Yards. To that end, they will need to survive as long as possible," he gestured toward the men with a vague motion of his hand, "and so, I've come asking you to organize your Ace pilots for the task of orbital defense. If this is agreeable to you, Sorrows?" he offered as his smile slipped away, "Master Dewe?"
He was far better at making these connections than leading from the forefront; Jerek had never been one for glorious scenes or limelight. He preferred utilitarian actions. Concise. Direct. Efficient. And though he would see no action in the air himself, his duty depended heavily on those who would. Patiently, he awaited their responses, hopefully dismissing questions regarding his identity. Jerek hated grating conversations about his position in the Order, especially when he had to lie about it. He hated lying.

Hardly shifting from against the wall, Devlin raises an eyebrow, intrigued by the man and his idea.
"What, exactly did you have in mind, my friend? How many pilots will you need?"
He knew there were ways to defend the citizens and evacuation transports; but the Order's Aces were dispersed. It might take longer than Devlin would care to admit to bring them all together. He wasn't even certain he knew the fate of all the Dragon Squadron pilots, though he could hazard a guess. The prospect of defending citizens, however, was his primary motivation for enticing the Jedi into the defense of Kuat. He would not balk at the chance to help where he was most needed.
The Force moves where and when it will.
Devlin knew the answer Jerek (though he didn't actually know the man's name) was most likely to give, "All of them". He would need to run a head count and gather the forces that remained at Ossus...or whatever the Order could spare.

Jerek nodded at the question, considering the brief intelligence he'd gotten on the situation at Yavin; under that presumably horrific loss to their ranks, the Aces would not be at nearly full strength. Still, one or two Jedi was a step in the right direction for any situation. Whatever could be mustered was enough, to Jerek. The right preparations and the Force could sway any battle, in the right hands. "What you can offer, Master, would be greatly appreciated. You are not alone, after all."
The Shadow blinked slowly, weighing the situation in his mind for several moments. "I will go through what channels I can to dredge up intelligence from the final moments of Carida, to give you some tactical support. You aren't throwing your men to the wolves. Not while I have anything to do with it."
While they may not have had any clue as to who he was, Jerek gave them every reason to believe he was an ally. And he was always true to his word; any surveillance or intelligence surrounding the destruction of the Carida system would be found and gutted for the sake of Kuat's defense. And Devlin and Arcturus would have it.

Jade was pleased. Finally she did not feel like she was a total minority. The bulk of the Jedi seemed the same, with various differences of course, but taken as a whole, they were very similar particularly in the fact that most of them seemed to have been born speaking Basic. "You are right," she reassured the other woman. What were the odds? Her padawan had amnesia. Jade suspected it was psychosomatic, but did not have enough evidence to conclusively back that hypothesis yet. And now she had just met another with amnesia. "Do you remember anything?" She could only imagine the frustration resulting from that type of affliction. Her own emerald eyes met Syren's gaze without flinching."So, you have come to the Temple to seek out a teacher in the ways of the Force?" There were options, most of the academies had representatives here in the Spire currently.

Rawkill paused as the blue Twi'lek female Master approached him, before she bowed to him. He gave a short bow in return, before straightening up and almost craning his neck backwards to look up at Master Raylia. Sometimes being an Ewok had it's downfalls when it came to interacting with the taller races =Jedi Master Rawkill= And the same to you Master Venci. The Archives sound like a much better place for such a meeting. After you...

*Syren was relived that her grasp of Basic was coming along. She nodded her head to the following question.* "I remember bits and pieces. But there are many holes in my memory. It seems like there is enough information to fill books, but then I go to reach for it and it is caught in a fog." *Her voice trailed off, before she moved on to the next question."I believe I should learn more about what the Jedi do. Though learning how to control the emotions that result in sporadic discharges of Force energy to propel attending physicians across hallways might be prudent." *She paused again.* "My people know about the Force, though our points of view may differ." *Syren was beginning to feel that she was on the verge of sharing too much information about herself, but she was not certain as to way she felt that. Perhaps in that other part of her life that she could not remember she was tight lipped about herself.

And he was always true to his word; any surveillance or intelligence surrounding the destruction of the Carida system would be found and gutted for the sake of Kuat's defense. And Devlin and Arcturus would have it. Arcturus was silent for a few seconds, bringing his gauntleted left arm up across his chest. A hologram buzzed into being a few centimeters above it, and he silently tapped out commands...after a few seconds, a small - very small - list of names appeared."...The best I can give you is one squadron, plus myself. The majority of the Exploration Corps Aces have been filed down to a scant few after the crusades...all thats left are scouts and transport pilots...and they just simply aren't fighter pilots. We're a remedial Corps after all." Eyeing Devlin, Arcturus arched an eyebrow.
"...Good to know that there are other pilots backing us up though. It's...been a while." Inwardly, Arcturus' curiosity towards the cloaked man only intensified...he had access to Intelligence that would help them take out ships in the upcoming battle? Beyond that fact, he wasn't a master...not by the way he walked, or talked...this was a military man...a tactical man. This was a soldier...straight and to the point. Who was he? Arcturus didn't ask...nor did he care to know: he was already stepping a mite too far out of his comfort zone by volunteering for a battle of all things. No need to go prying and putting his nose where it didn't belong.

~“What is the point?” “The point? No matter how miniscule it might seem, everything serves a purpose. Otherwise, it wouldn’t exist.” “But they have denied our request for aid at every turn.” “Eli, the protection of the universe is held sacred by two bodies: The Jedi Order and the Republic. Both have priorities and both have ways of doing things. The sooner you learn this, the sooner it will become easier.”
Vasdonna eye’s were a dark blue with a gray opaque film developing, his sight was to go soon. Nevertheless, he always seemed to enjoy gazing out into the stars, looking at the places he had never been. The blackness of space crept up against the hull of the small transport ship, the Jedi Master and Knight stood in close proximity after hearing the holorecording, watching the failure of sentiment flooding through the blue specter. While Vasdonna felt nostalgia for opportunities he would never embrace, the Zelosian felt the slightest tinge of fear for the thing his people considered the most profound evil: the night.
“Their priority is not…” Vasdonna waved his hand, cutting the young Jedi off. “You do not know their priority. Despite our efforts, and contact with the Order and Republic, our request has been denied. They have bigger issues to deal with and we must settle with what we have. There is no need to linger.”
Eli had the growing sense that Zelos, and the Tyus sector, held little meaning to the body that governed the galaxy. And why should they, there was little income from his planet and what income they had could not be spared towards the relief of small islands struck by an outbreak of disease. It was survival of the fittest in its most atrocious form.
“Listen, apprentice. The universe is unfair, good people end up badly and bad people end up well off. It is not our duty to fight the natural order of things. What we strive to do is make a difference where we can. Such is the way of things.”~
There wasn’t much left to say in the High Council Spire. The election had been completed, the promotions and assignments were all but done, and the council members had decided that Kuat was to receive aid. Now, despite his lack of departure towards Kuat, Eli would do everything in his power to assist in the endeavors of his comrades. He would go to the Senate, he would plead with the Republic, he would tell them Sernpidal and Carida, and of plans towards Kuat, and potential threats towards Coruscant. With the cloud overhead threatening deluge, Eli knew that they would have to act. They had to, he hoped.
Standing up from his seat, he gave a quiet nod to the council members and jedi who still remained, and departed from the room, silently deciding that he would speak to Syren on another date, when time and urgency allowed for such things.

When no further orders were given, Jena quietly left the council chambers and headed to the hangars to make some arrangements. As she passed by Adi, she motioned for him to follow her out into the hallway. With a small grin on her face, she slowed her pace so he could hobble along on his crutch beside her while she tapped out a few more messages on her datapad....
"You're going to have to move faster than that, chéri, when we get to Kuat."
She glanced back at him with a hint of a teasing glint in her blue eyes. While the overall situation was very serious, the sight of Adi hobbling down the hallway was rather amusing, and they could definitely use some amusement amidst all of the recent revelations....

Jade was intrigued by Syren and her problem, but she was not really sure where to go from there. "There are several points of view upon the Force, ultimately, I supposed it comes down to one's character and the choices one makes." She bit her lip, pondering something. She assumed that Syren knew people here, whether she was aware of them or not just yet was another issue. "I must find my padawan, but if you cannot find the answers you are searching for here on Coruscant, feel free to visit the Corellian Academy," she offered.

Briefly, she wondered what dire straights had them all leaving in a hurry. She scanned the room looking for any more advisoral help as to whom she should talk with about training in the Jedi ranks.*

Devlin nods to Arcturus.
"One squadron plus the remnant I can bring should be enough."
He grins.
"Since we're all Jedi."
The Cardooinian turns to the unknown Jedi.
"Any help you can provide would be great, my friend."
Devlin wasn't certain what his compatriot had in mind; but he knew two squadrons of starfighters, even with Jedi pilots, would need a good plan to overcome the Mandalorian forces.
