Terra nodded slowly, though she still wasn't sure how she felt about going to find her father. Just a few short days ago, such an action would have been unthinkable, and indeed she hadn't thought about her father in so long. Such thoughts were seen as a sign of weakness, and she had learned to push away any memories of her life before being a Sith apprentice, as it caused her to lose focus. The thought of seeing him again after so long was both exciting and terrifying at the same time. Even if he was alive, and even if they found him, what would he say to her? Would he even remember her after so long? These thoughts raced through her mind as she stood up."I'm ready..."

Zion nodded as Terra got up from the seat, confirming she was ready to go find her father. He then lead her out of the apartment and back down to the ground floor and out onto the street, keeping her close by to his side as they set off along the footpath. There was many a cretinous people on these streets and they would seize even the slightest opportunity to snatch up someone like Terra as fast as possible. He lead her along the street to the end of the block and turned right onto another intersecting main road and continued along to a rental place, where there was various bikes and cars on display for customers to choose from. He had heard of this place on his last trip here, nothing but good things had been said and so he figured it couldn't be too bad of a place. He went inside and gave the dealer a fair amount of credits, before coming back out the front and walking over to one of the fastest looking Land Speeders. He opened the passenger door for Terra, before getting into the driver's side himself and powering the vehicle up. Various displays showed up on the screen before Zion moved out into traffic and took off through the city towards the outer limits. He followed the route that Rolff had suggested to the Thieves Base, since there was far less traffic to slow down their journey. As they moved towards the city limits, the buildings gradually got less and less appealing, some of them looking like they'd not been lived in for years, while others were in dire need of repair works. Not long after that Zion began to slow the speeder down as they approached the location of the Thieves Base, keeping an eye out for anything out of place or dangerous. He then pulled the speeder to a stop next to a speaker box in front of a pair of gates. This was undoubtedly the place they were looking for, especially this far out from the city. He pressed a button causing the window to slide down, before he turned to the speaker=Zion Morviael=I'm looking for the Forty Thieves, I've been told that you can supply me with certain... goods...

Terra had remained silent throughout the journey to the base, focused on finding her father and little else. She still didn't know what they would do when or if they found him, or if he would be happy to see her. To be honest, she was starting to have her doubts and fears about the decision to go and find her father. What if he didn't even recognize her? And worse, what if this trip just ended with her back in slavery? It would almost be worse than going back to her Sith master. Almost...
There was a delay of a few seconds before a voice came crackling over the speaker. Though distorted slightly, the speech was clear enough.
=Voice on Speaker= ::Forty Thieves are here all right. As for our...goods. You're gonna have to be specific about what you want. We got...lots of stuff here. Now what the hell do you want?::

Zion was relieved that they had at least found the Forty Thieves base, though out here it was hard to get the wrong place since there was little else around. Now they just needed to be let in so they could use the Thieves to track down the man they wanted to find, provided he was still alive, and make it out of there without anyone being captured =Zion Morviael= I'd be more than happy to discuss what I am looking for face to face, as opposed to over a comm... He then leaned over towards Terra, doing his best to whisper his next words to her, since he didn't want any unwanted sets of listening ears learning what they shouldn't =Zion Morviael= We'll find your father and get away, I promise I won't leave you behind. He then straightened up as he waited for a reply from the Thieves. Hopefully they would agree to meet face to face and open the gates so that he and Terra could enter the compound. Otherwise they would be forced to break in and have to fight their way though the Forty Thieves and what ever minions they had doing their dirty work

The voice over the comm seemed to grow irritated at Zion's request to speak to someone personally.
I ain't lettin' you in here 'till I'm sure that-...what?The reply was cut off as another voice was just barely audible through the speaker. The conversation continued, though Zion and Terra were only able to hear one side of it.Whaddaya mean? I was told that-...oh...yeah yeah I know.......OK fine. OK. We're openin' the gates for ya now. No sudden moves or we'll fry ya on the spot, ya hear? With that, the comm cut out and the gate began to open. Two armored thugs waited just inside the gate on speeder bikes, and they beckoned Zion to follow them into the base. As the speeder slowly moved into the base, the gate immediately closed behind them.
Terra wondered why they had suddenly changed their minds, and it made her uneasy about what awaited them inside. However, she could tell that the threat was not an idle one; a quick glance at the compound revealed several gun emplacements, some of them quite large. They would easily be able to destroy the speeder if they were given a reason to. She also noticed the gate closing behind them, essentially trapping them in the base. Now there would be no turning back until they found who they were looking for.

=Zion Morviael= Thank you... Zion nodded to the two thugs just inside the gates before following their bikes into the compound and towards the main building. He wasn't entirely sure what to think of their current predicament, but he could sum it up quite well as just another day in his life. As he did a brief look around while following the bikes, he also noticed the weapon emplacements, as well as the slightly more better hidden bunker's, which he assumed would be all connected, virtually creating a shooting gallery if someone hostile tried entering. He then pulled the speeder up to the curb as they arrived to the main building, before he powered the vehicle down and did a quick check of his weapons. He wanted to make sure he was prepared for just about anything, especially since they'd been so quick to change their minds about letting them in. He glanced over at Terra and nodded, pausing for a moment as if he was going to say something, before simply nodding and getting out of the speeder as he ushered Terra to follow close by as he in turn followed the thugs inside the base, hopefully to someone with a little more smarts than the fool they had on gate duty

Terra quickly exited the speeder, keeping close to Zion in case these thugs got any ideas. Her focus was on finding her father, hopefully without a fight, though what they would do if she and Zion actually did find him remained to be seen.
Two armed thugs appeared in the doorway as they approached and one held out his hand. The other held some kind of device in his hand, probably a scanner to look for concealed weapons.
"Stop right there."Without waiting for either Zion or Terra to do or say anything, the thug had already started waving the device around Zion's body first, then Terra's. She half expected them to pounce on Zion, as he was clearly armed, but to her surprise, no one made any moves towards them. The thug holding the scanner finished quickly and stepped back. "They're clean. Take 'em inside."
With that, Terra and Zion were escorted into the base, and the girl noticed that most of the guards seemed much more worried about her than they did about Zion. Maybe they had heard about what had happened to that Nazeem character, but it surprised her that they would be watching her more closely than Zion. Then again, if they really had any idea what she was, then they'd probably be a lot more worried. So far, she hadn't spoken a word about her training by the Sith to anyone. Keeping close to Zion as they were escorted through the base, she tried to make mental notes of the turns they made through the hallways of the building, in case they needed to run.
The thugs stopped in front of a set of double doors, and it was only a second before they opened, revealing a surprisingly nice looking office space, fairly large and well furnished. There were a few scantily clad Twi'lek slave girls lounging on some of the couches near one side of the room, and at the center near the back, there was a large desk, where a well dressed man, appearing in his early 40's was sitting, examining a datapad. He looked up as he saw Zion and Terra enter the room and he stood up and smiled.
"Welcome to my humble abode. Why don't you both pull up a chair and we can talk?"
Terra was immediately on her guard as she followed Zion into the room, as she almost didn't need her Force sense to know that this man was dangerous , as one didn't get a place this nice on Nar Shaddaa by being nice and pleasant...

As the thugs started scanning them, Zion also expected they would pounce on him, but as they were allowed to continue through, he wondered if perhaps the scanners were something else, perhaps listening devices. Regardless though, they were allowed to continue on, being lead through the base, making all sorts of turns as they made their way to whomever was in charge. Zion made note of the guards and what weapons they carried, as well as the fact they were taking more notice of Terra, a fact which unsettled him a little considering the circumstances under which they had been allowed into the base. Perhaps they were lambs being lead to the slaughter, as opposed to being here to perform a valiant rescue of Terra's father. As the doors to the office opened, he let off an aura of confidence and relaxation, having decided it was better to face death with a smile, then to appear like a frightened little child. He nodded to the gentlemen behind the desk before pulling two chairs close together as he took his seat first, making sure Terra was not far parted from him in this place =Zion Morviael= Well it'd be interesting to see what you call lavish... I have one matter of business to discuss, which I believe you can help me with. I'm looking for a second servant...

"Are you, now? Well then..."The man leaned forwards a little, his eyes on Terra, who had taken the seat beside Zion. One look in her eyes told him all he needed to know about who these two were looking for, as a certain individual in his employ had those very same eyes, the same shape, the same color. This was certainly an interesting development...
The man got up from his seat."I'm probably going out on a limb here...but I might just know who it is you're looking for. Only one other person on this whole moon has eyes like yours, my dear."His gaze turned back to Terra as he spoke, though she refused to meet his eyes. But he didn't need to look in her eyes to see the resemblance."But I'm afraid I'm forgetting my manners. My name is Arganan. Your names are?"As he spoke, Arganan began to move around them, towards one of the couches occupied by one of the Twi'lek slave girls. He sat down, waiting for either Zion or Terra to reply.
Terra felt a slight surge of excitement when he said he knew who they were looking for, which meant her father must for sure be here. They were so close now, though her guard remained up and she opted to let Zion continue to do the talking.

Zion greatly distrusted Arganan the moment he turned his attention to Terra and studied her as he revealed he may know who they were looking for, based on her eyes. In most cases he would have been relieved, but given that this was the Forty Thieves, he suddenly started to feel like a lamb again. He turned his seat to follow Arganan, as the man moved over to a couch with one of his twi'lek slaves on it =Zion Morviael= Zion... Zion Morviael... and this is Terra...Since you are going out on a limb, I suppose I should let you know you are right. So where might we find this man? He continued to study Arganan, knowing he'd need every advantage possible if he had to fight this man, or wanted to ensure he didn't try any tricks that might get them placed in cages here. He was quite certain Hikari and Akari would be rather disappointed in him if that were to happen, they'd never want to leave him alone again, especially after what had happened on Corellia not long ago. If worst came to worst, he was armed with enough weapons and had enough skill to fight his way out of here if it came to it

Now that Arganan was certain who it was they were looking for, it was suddenly apparent why they had first visited Nazeem's establishment, as he was fairly certain that was where Matthias used to work. He was also quite glad that they had taken care of Nazeem for him, as it saved him the trouble and that pompous idiot had always been a pain. They had done him a favor, and he decided to repay them by allowing this girl to reunite with her father. He hoped that they didn't intend to just walk out of here with him, as he was loathe to give up such a talented worker without a little compensation.
That bridge would be crossed when they came to it. For now, he opted to keep up appearances."Oh don't worry, he's here. Work hours have ended, so he should be available for a chat right now, if you like. We can go and meet him in the courtyard."Despite his friendly looking smile, the tone in his voice indicated that there wouldn't be much of a choice in this matter. Arganan wasn't taking any chances with these two, not after what they had already done since arriving on the Smuggler's Moon. Nazeem was careless with them and he had ended up dead, so he needed to make sure he took the necessary precautions so he didn't end up like that buffoon. In order to ensure that they didn't try anything, he figured the courtyard, which sounded like a nice place but was just a filthy place just like everything else on this world, would be the proper place for them to meet Terra's father. There, they would be watched from all sides by armed guards and gun turrets, which were the usual deterrent for anyone wanting to start a fight.
It would be best to separate the two if possible, but Zion seemed hell bent of keeping Terra by his side at all cost, not that Arganan blamed him. Such a pretty young thing like Terra was a highly desirable commodity here, and if Nazeem hadn't been killed trying to take her, he might have made a move towards her himself. As long as Zion was by her side, and if the girl was as dangerous as he had heard, trying to take her would not prove to be a wise move. He would wait and see for now, and maybe an opportunity would present itself later on.
Terra had hoped that Arganan would just bring her father here, which might have made it easier for them to bust him out, but the criminal leader wasn't having that. She found herself feeling grateful that Zion was here, as she might have found herself in the clutches of Nazeem or Arganan without him by now. At least her father was really here, and they could really go and talk to him, though she had no idea what she would say to him, or what his reaction to seeing her again might. She hadn't thought about him in a long time...
Still opting to let Zion do the talking, Terra waited for him to respond.

So the man still lived and he was here, that was some good news for them, considering how long Terra had been away from Nar Shaddaa for. But wort sort of condition he was in, was still a mystery, after all they could meet him and he could be in the grips of death. He nodded to Arganan as the man made the offer for them to meet Terra's father in the courtyard =Zion Morviael= I do believe we would appreciate that opportunity, Please, lead the way... He rose from his chair and helped Terra up from her own, before placing his hand on her shoulder, sensing that a walk through this place could mean one of them disappearing if they were careless. Judging from those they had seen so far, he could tell Terra would be the one who would disappear and end up like her father. He then reached out through the force, glancing upon Terra's presence as they waited for Arganan to lead the way to the courtyard =Zion Morviael= Stay close... I have a bad feeling about this place...

Terra kept very close to Zion as Arganan led them through the hallways of the compound, always aware of the presence of the armed guards. There were far too many for them to be able to fight their way out if it came to that, and she was starting to wonder just how they were going to escape from this place. It seemed like this whole compound was built to keep people from escaping, like a prison. It made her wonder just who the Forty Thieves were trying to keep out.
Arganan continued walking, his guards tailing behind Terra and Zion with their weapons at the ready. They had been told not to take any chances, so if either one of them made a move, they were to open fire. Unbeknownst to Terra and Zion, their weapons were set to stun, as both would turn out to be valuable commodities if they were forced to start shooting. With any luck, it wouldn't come to that.
Arganan led the way into the courtyard, which was only slightly less of a wreck then everything else on Nar Shaddaa. There weren't many people in the courtyard, but the first thing Terra noticed were the mounted gun emplacements all around the upper walkways and the walls surrounding the courtyard. It meant that anyone starting trouble in here wouldn't live long enough to regret it.
But her eyes weren't on the guns for long. Her gaze had already fallen on one of the men sitting on one of the chairs, looking not a day older than when she had seen him last."Father!"
The man turned around, looking back at Terra with those same blue eyes."Terra!?"
For a moment, father and daughter just stared at each other. Suddenly, the man's expression turned to anger."Terra, what the hell are you doing back here!?"
Terra didn't reply, her mouth moving but unable to come up with anything to say. Of all the things she thought her father would have said to her, this wasn't what she thought he would say. Before she could think farther on the subject, he was already standing in front of her."Why did you come back here?! To this...this dark hellhole of a planet!? I thought I told you when you left to never come back here!"It was then that Terra remembered her last conversation with her father before leaving Nar Shaddaa, almost nine years ago. He had told her to never come back, to leave him and live her own life, and to never come back to the Smuggler's Moon. He had said it was too late for him, but that she should live her life as far away from this place as possible. Now it was clear to her why he was so angry.
She still didn't reply, but just when she thought her father's anger would get worse, he quickly stepped forwards and threw his arms around his daughter, that anger melting away as quickly as it had appeared."I missed you, Terra...so much...I'm sorry I yelled."Terra embraced her father, tears forming in her eyes."I m-missed y-y-you too..."Before she knew it, she was crying into her father's chest as they embraced for the first time in nine years.

Zion silently followed Arganan as they made their way through the base, which he could agree seemed more and more like a prison they more they moved through it. As they exited out to the courtyard, he couldn't help but be reminded of his stay at the Black Rock Prison on Corellia, guards all over the place, guns ready to kill people causing trouble. He then turned his attention down to ground level as Terra recognized her father. Zion nodded approvingly to himself as the man looked like he was in good health and shape for what ever age he was and considering the conditions, which didn't make much sense to him. For a man who was a prisoner, he seemed quite well off, but perhaps he was just nitpicking over details, something he did often in such situations. But regardless that was the man they had come for, and now they had to find a way to free him, something which would be no easy task if done by force, instead he would need to play to the Thieves greed, a commodity he had lots of =Zion Morviael= He looks in good shape and appears to be the one I seek.... So how much for him?

Arganan had guessed when he had seen Terra that she had been searching for her father, and he had been suspicious that she would attempt to free him. Zion's question confirmed his suspicions, and he wasn't about to just let them walk out of here with his most talented engineer no matter how much he would get paid. He shook his head."I'm afraid he's not for sale." Arganan knew that this would likely not go over very well with Zion, but no one would be foolish enough to pick a fight with so many guards and guns all trained on the courtyard. "You see, that man's debt to me is more than just credits."It was a long story, but the reason why Matthias Kiros was in debt to the Forty Thieves had something more to do with then just the money he owed. In fact, it had quite a bit to do with Terra as well. All would soon be revealed, and then he would see if they still wanted to press the issue.
Terra had managed to calm herself down, but she refused to leave her father's side, clutching his hand as she watched Zion and Arganan talk. Judging by the increased presence of the guards and the mounting tension, she guessed that it wasn't going well, and it made her hold her father's hand even more tightly.
Matthias held his daughter's hand just as tightly, knowing that any attempts to free him from Arganan would not end well. He had made a deal with him, and if he tried to back out, the consequences would be dire. For him, and for his daughter...

Zion was less then impressed as Arganan stated that Matthias was not for sale, which for the Thieves was a rather unconventional situation. He then started to wonder what sort of deal with the devil Matthias had made to cause Arganan to say his debt was more than money, especially in the way the words had been said, coupled with the increase in number of security guards, further tipping the odds out of his favour =Zion Morviael= It greatly disappoints me that you would feel that way... But I trust we can come to some form of agreement... after all every man has his price, credits can buy everything... And in most situations there was very little Zion had been unable to afford, especially after a little persuasion, which perhaps was all Arganan needed. But by the gods he would tip the scales back in his favour, even if it meant leveling the entire base just so Terra and her father could escape. After all, he was more than certain Terra was capable of protecting herself and her father, especially after the display she had shown back at Nazeem's

Arganan's face twisted into a scowl as Zion continued to press for the release of the girl's father. Clearly, he needed to explain more in depth about Matthias's debt. And if that didn't convince Zion to back down, then Arganan would have to resort to violence, and the amount of firepower in the courtyard would be more than sufficient to deal with the man."If it was just about the money, I would gladly accept your offer. But as I have already told you, his debt to me is more than credits. We made a deal and he will honor it."No one had been foolish enough to break a deal with Arganan in some time, and he prayed a man as skilled as Matthias would also be smart enough not to back down from the arrangement they had made, almost nine years ago to the day.
Terra, for her part, wasn't aware of any deal her father had made, but in truth, her memory of her departure from Nar Shaddaa was a bit hazy after nine years spent as a Sith apprentice. Still, she did remember it as being rather rushed, with her father never telling her what had prompted them to free her, only saying never to return. She looked up at him, and his gaze seemed almost sad. Like whatever he had done to ensure her freedom had cost him dearly."F-Father? Why...?"Matthias shook his head."I'm sorry I never told you...but..."He turned to Arganan."I want to speak to my daughter for a moment...alone."
Arganan considered sending some of his guards with them, but then, there wasn't much point in trapping someone who was already trapped. Matthias knew better than to try and escape and it was no sweat off his back if Terra slipped out. He nodded curtly."Fine."The crime leader pointed to Terra."She causes trouble, and you suffer, understand?"Arganan turned to Zion, as Matthias nodded his understanding and started to lead Terra away."I hope I have made myself clear. If not, I'd be happy to try and clear things up while they chat."Arganan's tone made it quite clear that this was his final attempt at a civilized conversation. Any more prodding from Zion, and he would order his guards to shoot.
Meanwhile, Terra followed her father out of the courtyard, nervous about leaving Zion, but despite all the long years away, she still trusted her father.

Although Zion wasn't particularly happy about being separated from Terra, but she was with her Father so she would be safe with him. This also meant he could act without having to worry too much about her, especially since Arganan wasn't the only one who's patience was being tested. When he was certain Terra and her Father were clear of the courtyard, he turned to Arganan, doing his best not to just grab the man's neck and snap it in two. Instead he simply lifted his left hand out to the side at about waist height, his palm facing Arganan =Zion Morviael= It's an interesting story how I got this scar, which extends up the length of my entire arm. You see I was in a room about the size of this courtyard, having killed 6 armed men, when some fool thought he could best me with a dagger tailed whip, which I grabbed in mid air, causing it to embed itself in my flesh. But did that stop me? No, I proceeded to rip the handle free of it's owner before using the whip to decapitate the man in charge... Zion gave Arganan a smirk before lowering his hand to his side and taking a step back from Arganan, letting the man have some space to reconsider the offer without feeling too threatened. He could not quite fathom why like Nazeem, Arganan felt safe enough to try deny him what he wanted, especially when Nazeem had tried the same thing and ended up dead. That all aside, if Arganan made the first move, it would give him all the more reason to take the man down =Zion Morviael= ...I'm a peaceful and agreeable man and I can make up for what ever deal Matthias has made with you. I mean living with a load of credits is a lot better then being dead with nothing. So what is the deal Matthias made with you?

Arganan was about ready to signal his guards to let Zion taste a full salvo of shots from all directions for his continued pestering. To think he had the nerve to threaten him in his own base while surrounded by armed guards. His patience was nearing its end, and if Zion pressed the issue one more time, he might find himself in quite a predicament.
It wasn't to say that Arganan wasn't considering Zion's offer at all, but it wasn't just the credits he wanted. Matthias Kiros had a unique combination of skills that he doubted he would be able to find anywhere else on Nar Shaddaa anytime soon.
Arganan's scowl remained as he started speaking."Nine years ago, I acquired little Terra from an old friend who decided to cheat me." No need to go into details there. "It was wasted effort on my part, for at the time, I had no use for the girl. The Forty Thieves don't need the services of a little child and she couldn't do anything else useful around here." While it was true that many of the men here enjoyed some more...lewd conduct with some of the slaves that they purchased, almost all of them held reservations about engaging in that sort of behavior with one so young. Even a group as nasty as the Thieves had standards after all. Arganan cleared his throat before continuing. "Matthias wasn't about to let me sell her off just like that. You see, Matthias's debt to his previous owner had technically been paid, and it would have been null and void anyway with his death, but his daughter was not part of that bargain. She was still a slave, and she belonged to me, even if I was just going to sell her off. The last thing he wanted was for his daughter to be a slave while he went free. So...he made a deal with me. Matthias pledged his services and his considerable skills to me indefinitely and in exchange, I freed the girl and sent her off-world, away from here."
Arganan crossed his arms."I've held up my end of the bargain by not seizing the girl the second she walked in here. Matthias knew what he was getting into when he made that deal with me, and he was prepared to spend the rest of his life here if it meant his daughter would go free."He uncrossed his arms. "So do you understand now? He is not for sale. He's here because that's what he wanted."
This being Nar Shaddaa, there were some choice bits of information about that deal that Arganan had left out or changed. The truth was...a bit more complicated than what he had spelled out for Zion. He turned around and started heading back out of the courtyard, flanked by two guards who kept their eyes and their weapons trained on Zion. Arganan knew that he was dangerous, but there was answer for someone like him if it came to that."When Terra is done speaking with her father, I expect you two to show yourselves out."
