Paging Doctor Fletcher, I repeat, paging Doctor Fletcher. Consult in exam room three...The familiar sound of the intercom clicking off sounded, as the rubber cap of Silas' cane met the ground. The dishevelled looking doctor leaned slightly to his right, supporting himself upon his cane. He really did despise working the exam rooms. There just wasn't anything that interested him here. Runny noses, head aches, the occasional blaster or blade wound. It was all just so normal for him. He wanted cases that weren't normal, that baffled most doctors. Which, yes, did happen even here. The RDMC was staffed by some of the best Doctors in their fields. That much was true. But sometimes, even experts were left wondering just what was wrong with the rare patient or two. That was where Silas stepped in, with his team of course. He was a brilliant diagnostician, but even he needed lackeys to bounce ideas off and do his work for him sometimes. But they weren't quite in the picture just yet. Silas always attended these calls alone. More often than not, he alone was enough to handle these menial plea's for aide. Sometimes he couldn't help but wonder if this was just his colleagues way of making fun of him. Or perhaps they just felt like he didn't do enough. He certainly knew some of them thought his area of expertise was a dying speciality. Medicine had progressed to a point, that cures were available for just about everything these days. But making sure the right treatment was given, was were he stepped in. After all, some diseases could still be misdiagnosed even by machines. Silas massaged his right thigh with his left hand then, the memories bringing back some phantom pain. He straightened up then, and made his way into Exam Room 3. Dr Temple turned her attention to him as he entered, as he set his attention upon the woman sat before him. He knew Claire was less then displeased about his late arrival. Her annoyance was emanating from her like a fire. But he ignored the looks she gave him, as she silently berated him for not wearing his white lab coat. Instead, his attention was drawn to the patient who appeared to be a young female. An initial visual inspection was enough to tell him she had an allergic reaction to something from the hivesHi. I'm Doctor Fletcher. And you are......Suki Yatsumi.Silas looked over at Claire then, as she decided she should answer for the patient. Even her tone sounded irritated that he was here at all. Surely he had not taken that long, that he had somehow slighted her with his lateness. Perhaps she just disliked his chosen field of medicine and had only called him out of sheer necessity because she had been told to. Either way, he nodded and turned his attention back to the patientWhat seems to be the issue Dr Temple...The patient presented with hives a week ago. After the usual treatment, and cutting out usual allergens, she's back here again...And you think it's something more?I think it's a sign of something more...hmmm...Silas walked around the bed Suki was sitting on, studying her. Looking her over from head to toe. Watching the way she sat there and what motions she made. Taking in various details and formulating a series of possible diagnoses already. Suki turned her head, following him as he moved about her. Claire meanwhile stood off to the side, seemingly growing more impatient. Silas then stopped in front of Suki thenOk, you answer this time. I assume Dr Temple did her job correct, and told you to stay off any possible food allergies, medications, and using a variety of products yes?Of course. I've followed her instructions to the letter...You've recently taken up more walking, correct?Yes. I thought a bit of exercise might help me feel better...Been feeling sick a lot? Few colds?Yeah... How'd you...Doctor Temple isn't one to just be annoyed at me for simply being late. Doctor's tend to show more concern about their regular patients, especially if they are very close friends. Which tells me that you've been sick a lot lately, because you've been spending more time together. The tan line around your wrist indicates you've been out in the sun recently, wearing a fitness monitoring device I'd guess...Claire shot Silas a glare as he very nonchalantly dropped his little accusation. Or at least what she viewed was an accusation. Silas handed her his cane then, as he took a seat on a little wheely chair. Propping his right foot on the foot rest, he slid across to one of the wheeled cabinets, pulling a syringe and a vial of something from it. Before he started to draw a couple CCs of the clear liquidDon't worry, I won't tell anyone, if you won't... At any rate, in the absence of all other allergens, there is only one such thing left that she would not have told you to avoid...Silas placed the vial back in the draw and flicked the syringe, clearing the air bubbles as he wheeled himself back to the bed side with a couple items in his lap. He placed the syringe on the bed, before opening the alcohol swab and cleaning a small spot on Suki's armThe one thing you've been spending the most time in... The sun. You've developed a photosensitivity, which is triggered by UV rays. The good thing is, it's treatable...I'm... allergic to sun light? Ow!Silas grabbed the syringe and jabbed her in the arm then, quickly injecting her with the clear liquid. He pulled it out and grabbed her other hand, as he forced her to hold a piece of gauze over the spotDistractions are meant to keep your mind off it...What did you just inject her with?!Oh calm down. It's nothing serious...I don't feel so good...Silas watched as Suki fainted backwards onto the bed and passed out. Silas smiled then as Claire dropped his cane and rushed to her side, getting out her stethoscope and placing it on the woman's chest. She quickly found a steady pulse and breathing pattern, before glaring over at Silas as he sat by, watchingWhat was in that?!Just a little test... It seems there is something more here at play.Silas rolled around to the other side of the bed and picked his cane up from the ground. Rising from his chair, he looked down at Suki, his gaze studying the woman as Claire leaned over her. This was going to be a good case, that was for sureI'll find out what's wrong. I'm going to need that tracker...Silas walked over to the door, pushing it open, before leaning out of the doorway and looking down the hallway to the nurses station that was nearbyWe need a bed in here... oh and let Doctors Bitterstone, Silverdale and Darkfly know they're off clinic duty, they've got a case...
