Finnick, one of the oldest Imperial Knights at the moment sat in one of the many rooms on the space station. The 50 year old ginger was stooped over his table fiddling with a gauntlet for an extra piece of armour. For years he had been trying many different combinations to make better armour, and so far he had not succeed. Putting the purified Cortosis back on the table he put his hands behind his curly red locks he sighed. In front of him was a massive window that showed the solar systems sun, which sparked an idea for the Knight, taking out a piece of paper he drew a small thing before he forgot.
On the piece of paper was the sun with the planet below, and in the middle was a space station absorbing the suns rays and sending them to the planet. Although the idea of solar power was not new not many people still used it, and none that he knew of had absorbed in wtill in space and beamed it down to the planet. He would have to pass this on to someone to take a look into, right now he was tired and going to take a nap.

Floating high above the planet were the only reason this particular point in space important in any way, shape or form: the Foerost Shipyards. No where near as large as the yards that surround Kuat like an asteroid ring, or as artful and precise as the ponderous shipyards above Sluis Van, they were still a manufacturing powerhouse and the source of the majority of ships, commercial and military, traversing the galaxy's deep core. Or at least that was the case until the little economic crisis that followed the fall of the 4th Galactic Empire.
Faced with the consequences of overproducing warships but losing their primary client, the Foerost Shipyards were forced to sell off their inventory at severely reduced prices. Even after, they were still unable to pay off their debts to the ore suppliers and were forced to lay off a significant portion of their employees. Unemployment for the planet skyrocketed as the major source for jobs on the planet continued the lay offs and the leadership replacing the imperial government was incapable of finding a solution. The economy failed and planet entered a depression.
But all was not lost, various members of the fragmented Empire came together to salvage what they could from the remains of a galactic power. The Imperial Remnant, as it would come to be known, soon began bringing loyal planets back into the fold; one such planet being Foerost. Despite economic issues of its own, the Remnant recognized the importance of getting Foerost back on its feet. They bailed out the shipyards and negotiated various trade agreements that allowed ores to be brought in at much lower prices. Not long after, sections of the shipyards that had been shutdown were reactivated and new (and old) workers were flown to the yards to begin work anew.

Lieutenant Geoffrey Book sits in the officer's mess hall of the shipyard built in barracks. On such a military asset such as this, it was not uncommon for it to have its own military facilities and accommodations. In fact, it would be uncommon to find a major ship manufacturing facility to not have barracks for its troops nowadays. The officer's mess only differed from the enlisted mess slightly. It was smaller but had better food, and it came with its own holoprojectors to keep the people eating entertained. An expense deemed unnecessary for the enlisted mess hall. Lieutenant Book was watching the local news on the projector closest too him as he ate alone. He didn't mind this, he almost always ate alone nowadays. His business as aide to the Grand Admiral didn't usually mix with that of those acting as this station's security, so he didn't have much in the way of friends here. But, as said before, this didn't bother him. He may not have people to talk to, but that didn't keep him down. He simply listened in on the conversation of others to fill he need to...socialize?
"Man that's brutal," says a Captain, commenting on the news story being run about a homicide in Hajibar, "poor bastard."
His companion, another Captain, chuckles. "Yeah, who decapitates people nowadays?"
The first captain smiles, "A Sith."
They both laugh, they don't have a care in the world. A Sith killing a simple business man on Foerost was absurd. To them. But Lieutenant Book knew better, they may be higher ranked than him, but he was in touch with what was truly happening in the galaxy. He didn't even bother to put down his fork as he sped from the room. He had to in form the Admiral; there was a Sith on Foerost.

A shuttle worked its way deftly through the shipyards, drifting around constructions both mighty and small as it made its way to its destination. Work went on around the sleek ship, ignoring its passing as deadlines spurred workers on to greater levels of motivation. Banking around the skeletal shell of a cruiser the shuttle finally lined up on an approached to an Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer. The Matte-Grey hull showed lighter patches where serious work had been done to replace the hull armour that had been torn away during the many battles fought in the unknown regions. Over seventy percent of the weaponry on the mighty ship had been replaced and the engines had needed a complete overhaul. Both of the shield generators had been replaced and the hangar bays had been subjected to extreme makeovers, having been sabotaged during the ships escape from Csilla.
The end result was that this ship, formerly part of a Sith armada out of Klatooine, was now the property of the Imperial Remnant and subject to the orders of their leaders.
Sat in the co-pilots seat as the shuttle neared the command hangar of the "Valheru" Bajos snarled a smile. It was good to see the old girl restored to her full glory, a feat he would not have been able to have achieved without the help of the Remnant. A strange twist of fate had lead to this circumstance and he had stopped questioning the strange twists and turns that had lead him and his crew here. He was still to meet with the leaders of the Remnant and would be headed deeper into their space as soon as he was abroad his vessel. He had promised his services. They had given him the choice of turning over the Valheru and going his own way or remaining in command of his ship in service to their military. Bajos, lacking any clear goal in his life since him and his masters defeat at Yavin IV, had decided on the latter, at least until he got himself sorted.
He would see what they had to say and serve as best he could his new masters. Though as soon as an opportunity presented itself... He would strike at his enemies with everything he could muster.
The shuttle disappeared into the command hangar of the Star Destroyer...

He had barely stepped onto the bridge of the Valheru, savouring the newly finished walls and restored terminals, when the transmission burst over the comm. The big man raised an eyebrow at the comm officer who merely shrugged his shoulders helplessly, hand pressed to his ear, indicating that the transmission was live across the board. Obviously those working on the ships comm array had rigged it so that all Imperial transmissions of a certain priority would air automatically, irrelevant of the listeners desire.
Interesting.
The giant Sith frowned for a moment, for once unsure of the best course of action. He had chosen to serve with the Imperial Remnant, at least for a while, in repayment for their assistance here and in the Unknown Regions. He owed them a debt but but no particular loyalties. Likewise he was unsure of the chain of command. Should he await a command to assist or would they expect him to act on his own initiative? A bit of a conundrum and one that had him stroking is chin thoughtfully for several seconds as he lowered himself into the command chair.
Finally he glanced up at the comm officer, who was watching him warily, as if afraid that he would receive blame for the errant transmission.
"Signal Foerost's shipyards and inform them that we're going to assist."
He turned his crimson gaze on the helm and navigation.
"Plot a course to Prakith and take us to the appropriate vector..."
He smiled as the crew jumped to obey his orders, the expression slowly turning into a grin as the mighty shi got underway.
The Valheru, an Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer turned sluggishly, newly refurbished engines coughing and spluttering as they stretched their mighty lungs, burning away the stiffness of their newborn tenderness. The sublights flared once more before growing constant, pushing the ship to its flank speed quickly and smoothly.
Soon the Valheru reached the appropriate vector, angled around the Deep Core, and with a shuddering stutter, disappeared into the void.

Sarah returned the salute from her desk."Hello Captain, I have read your files. You did well in the academy." But well enough to already be made a captain? She had her doubts, it probably had to do with his family connections. But she couldn't judge him based on her assumptions, that wasn't a mistake a Grand Admiral made. She would need to test him before she served with her fleet. No, not her fleet, the fleet. She had to keep reminding herself of that. The only reason she was seeing him and not the Rear Admiral was because he was busy and the Captain in front of her had family connections."I have an assignment for you, it isn't much but it is what the Remnant can spare at the moment." She hits a button on the console in front of her and the man's orders were transmitted to his personal communicator. He was to take command of a yet unnamed Carrack-class light cruiser and you will serve with the rest of the 2nd Fleet."You will report to the Shipyards, dock 37f and take command of the ship, feel free to name her whatever you want...just not something boring," she smilesShe logs off her console and stands. There was distress signal from Prakith, Imperial territory was being attacked, and the 2nd Fleet would respond in force."We will be leaving for a mission soon, you and your crew will be briefed as soon as possible." She takes his shoulder as she leads him out the door.

"Aye, sir. Full ahead." Answers the pilot at navigation.
As soon as the cruiser is free of the shipyards it guns forward at full speed.

These clone crewmen may be green, but they knew what the hell they were doing. The officers at the weapons stations had the orders down to the weapons crews as before he had said the second "mark". And when he did say it the weapons fired on cue. Glowing green, blue and red bolts of accelerated particles lance out into the darkness of space directly in front of and to the sides of the cruiser.

Out of the orbital shipyards glides a portion of the ships from the Imperial 2nd Fleet, once at a safe distance they accelerate to combat velocity and meet up with their patrolling units. A total of eight star destroyers big and...less big, assume a loose formation at the edge of the planet's gravity well. Sarah was looking out the viewport of the flagship's bridge, letting her mind wander as she contemplated the various factors and scenarios that might emerge over Prakith, when the communications officer approached her.
"Ma'am?" he begins "I have a request for orders from a Captain Kaine and Admiral Vossis referred me to to."
His confusion was understandable, Kaine had literally just joined the fleet. No one besides her or Vossis had even heard of him. And the Rear Admiral would have no idea what to do with a single Carrack-class swimming among Star Destroyers. Neither did she for that matter. If she had a pack of them she could use them to outmaneuver the enemy and get some major firepower on their asses. But just one? She had to think outside the box on this one...or outside the fleet. Hmm, that could work.
"Inform the captain that he is to return to the shipyards and re-dock. There is a military adviser planet-side that I want on Prakith, Kaine is to pick him up and meet us at the rendezvous point unless informed otherwise."
"Yes ma'am."
He turns and returns to the pool of officers under his control and has the ensign who originally responded to Captain Kaine relay her orders.

Warrant Officer Han Cardiff, Lieutenant Geoffrey Book, a smug looking Sith named Garren, and a squad of stormtroopers jog down the airlock towards the Fall from Glory. Once aboard the soldiers watch the Sith, while Han and the Lieutenant head to the bridge.
"Captain Kaine," he salutes casually and continues without waiting for a response, "I am Warrant Officer Cardiff. The Admiral told me to inform you that you are to move into the port side flank of the fleet and prepare for a hyperspace jump. My friend here is Lieutenant Book. He will help coordinate everything...uh, yeah. Me and the men have to get ready for the op."
He turns around and leaves the bridge to prepare for the mission with the rest of the men. As he does he gives the nervous Geoffrey a pat on the shoulder ad a way of turning the conversation over to him.
"Um," the lieutenant begins, "Captain, while you are a part of the fleet, you will be taking a part of a ground-based operation. The Warrant Officer will have control of the operation and will be a part of the ground team. Your ship will deliver them to the drop point and will support the mission in any way you can. I will coordinate between the two of you. If you don't have any questions we need to join the fleet as soon as possible."

Very good lieutenant. Kaine says concisely and then turns to face officer Cardiff

Han looks over his shoulder as he leaves. "You want to handle that one, Book?"
"If you wish to have arms delivered to the ship you may just order them delivered to the ship. The shipyards keep a large supply of firearms from all the major manufacturers. Anything you order should be on board within fifteen minutes if you tell them it's a priority. As for fighter's..." he has to think for a moment, "there is a squadron of TIE/D droid starfighters freshly completed, you can order five of them to dock with the ship out with the rest of the fleet. As soon as you have the firearms on board we need to leave though.
