The capital city of Iridonia, Malidris is located on the twilight meridian and made up of tall, narrow skyscrapers, all connected through a network of sky bridges and turbolifts. The entirety of the city is surrounded by a massive industrial wall, designed to protect the inhabitants from the worst of the climate winds and conditions of the harsh planet. At the center of the city is the capital square, where the residences of political figures, ambassadors, and the towering black pyramid of the Dark Diamond Palace can be found.

*The streets were always crowded. Denizens of Malidris moved about, gossiped with friends, or staggered along in a drunken stupor. And she? She watched, listened, remembered. When the council members left for their homes, she and her agents shadowed them. Records of local businesses were checked regularly and the logs of off-worlder businesses twice as much. Very little slipped past her notice but she still had a long ways to go before she would be as highly regarded as her predecessor, the new Empress.
Rylen watched a young male confront a bigger Zabrak holding a female by the waist. Siblings, perhaps, and the brother felt it his duty to ensure the bigger Zabrak knew his place. This could be interesting. From her perch on a rooftop—seriously, people don't look up as often as you'd think—she could hear his ravings and the amused chuckles of the larger Zabrak. No, there'd be no trouble. Not tonight anyways. Maybe tomorrow when the young male got over the sting of humiliation. Or perhaps, not at all. Maybe tomorrow would bring more pressing matters of intrigue into her home. Rylen stood and walked back to the palace, intent on returning to her quarters. She had seen all she needed to tonight.*

Angel's wings slow to a controlled hover down; as he touched down, he didn't break stride as he walked towards the Dark Diamond Palace, to check up on things and find his starfighter. He had business elsewhere. As he walked on, his wings tucking back into its trademark "cape" position. Angel was growing irked at the stagnancy of the government in his absence...

The Legacy of the Void settled into position above the capital city of Malidris. As it did so, Savage turned to the ship's XO, Commodore King.
"Commodore, I am taking my leave to the city. Deploy all of Void Company, with the Special Ops division focused on taking and securing the Dark Diamond Palace."
The slender, pale face of Commodore King cracked a small smile.
"Of course, mi'lord. It will be done." The Commodore paused for a minute, then spoke again. "Sire, what of the defenses of the city? I'm sure they won't take kindly to us being situated on their doorstep, so to speak."
As Savage strode to the turbolift that would take him down to his quarters, he spoke to the Executive Officer.
"I leave that to you."
And with that, the turbolift doors closed. After several minutes, Savage was in his room, stripping off his High Admiral's uniform. It was time to don his tunic and cloak. Once dressed in his tunic, Savage strapped on his forearm launchers and loaded his red and yellow lightsabers into them. Ensuring they were secured, Savage then retrieved his doublesaber and hung it on his belt. Once that was finished, he pulled on his gauntlets and slipped into his cloak. Raising his hood, he strode out of his quarters and headed to the hangar bay where his Special Ops Sith Troopers were waiting in their Atmospheric Assault Landers. Savage strode up the ramp, being greeted by a golden armored Sith Trooper. Savage nodded to him as he boarded the craft.
"Major Kage. Let's get underway."
The golden armored trooper lifted his hand, index finger extended and spun it in a circle.
Alright ladies, let's get moving! The High Admiral wants boots on the ground at the Palace in twenty minutes. Lock and load! You know what to do.
And with that, the leading AAL lifted off the hangar bay deck and exited into the bright, burning sunlight of Iridonia. The remaining eleven transports from the Void followed them out and headed towards the massive courtyard near the Dark Diamond Palace. Two squads of TIE/fo Space Superiority Fighters flew escort, while the remaining thirty-six TIE/sf Space Superiority Fighters engaged the fighter defenses of the city.
Soon Savage would be on the ground, in the thick of the fighting. Soon Iridonia would be his. Soon.

The Legacy of the Void hung in the bright skies above Malidris. The skies surrounding the ship were bustling with activity. First Order TIE/fo and TIE/sf fighters were busily fighting enemy fighters and escorting the AAL's all over the city as they dispersed troops to secure it in the name of the First Order. Slowly the skies were clearing up. But the sudden activation of the a V-150 Planet Defender being operated from the space port made things a bit more interesting. On the bridge of the Void, Commodore King was issuing orders.
"Pull us out of that thing's range, now! Once out of range, get me a targeting solution for the Ion Cannons. I want to disable that thing without endangering the entire Spaceport."
With the order given, the Void began to move out of the V-150's range, dipping down into the skyline of the city. The skyscrapers would serve as adequate cover until the Void could manage a firing solution for its Ion cannons.
On the ground in the city...
With the deployment of nearly nine hundred Sith Troopers and Novatroopers, the resistance within the city itself was beginning to wean. The Special Ops Sith Troopers and the Novatroopers were able to shut down most of the resistance before it flared up, but in some instances, a squadron or two of Shadow Stormtroopers were called in to deal with the situation quietly. Once the Dark Diamond Palace was secured, resistance would be down to a bare minimum within Malidris at least. But campaigns to pacify both Wortan and the Sith Academy would need to take place to ensure full compliance on the planet.

As Alex slowed down a bit as to not draw unwanted attention from the invading forces. He noticed there was quite a bit of enemy forces wondering around and engaging the Iridonians. Alex thought that it would be best if he were to take back alleys as there would be few enemy troops. Although Alex was a brilliant fighter he knew that he would need his strength to help his master. Alex quickly moved from alley to alley until he stumbled upon a group of the enemy troopers engaging Iridonian citizens that had decided to take up arms against the invaders. Just as the troopers were about to about fire Alex jumped in front of the citizens and activated his lightsaber and deflected the blaster bolts to the side of the building.
"Get out of here, I'll deal with these invaders"
Not needing to be told twice the small group of Iridonians made their escape the same way Alex had came. Alex spun his lightsaber around waiting for his opponents to make their move first. The First trooper opened fired while the other second trooper made his way to a better vantage.Alex deflected the shots into the same building as before. Alex then used the force ability Malacia to throw off the trooper's inner equilibrium. The first trooper dropped to his knees and began hurling inside of his helmet. While the Second trooper fall off of his new vantage point, and was knocked unconscious by the fall. With his opponents neutralized Alex deactivated his lightsaber and continued on his way to the palace. Alex was glad that his plan worked as he had yet to master that force ability.

Alex sensed that his master had already engaged the darkness. He needed to hurry it up if he's going to asset his master. With that in mind Alex decided that taking to the roof tops might get him there sooner. Alex with the assistance of the force jumped to the nearby rooftop. He proceeded towards the palace all the while jumping from rooftop to rooftop. On the third rooftop Alex encounter three Sith Troopers, He had seen holo-recordings of that type of armor, but never in person. Alex not wanting to be delayed anymore than he already was used his Electric Judgment force ability and knocked the troopers clean off. Alex continued to make his way to the palace.

Alex was now on a rooftop near the palace. It was crawling with Sith Troopers, he knew that he would need another way into the courtyard. As he looked for another way, he noticed that there was a small window of opportunity to get into the courtyard. If he didn't take it now it would be to late.
Continued in Dark Diamond Palace

Three AAL's soared low through the city. They were destined for Starport Velecta, where the majority of remaining resistance was coming from. With the V-150 Planet Defender activated, the Legacy of the Void couldn't provide fire support for the troops on the ground. But a squadron of TIE/sf Fighters were running interference against the few active fighters of the resistance. This was enough of a distraction to allow Command Sergeant Daniel Sinclair the opportunity to land his ships just outside the perimeter of the Starport to initiate an assault on it.

Resistance from the Starport was intense, even by Command Sergeant Sinclair's standards. The First Order forces had managed to secure the entirety of Malidris, aside from Starport Velecta.
The resistance coming from within Velecta was backed by the Iridonian Army as well as whatever other groups had sprung up within the last few hours opposed to the First Order's occupation. It would appear as though the Iridonian Army was now working with whatever group had previously opposed them before the First Order had arrived. And that made Sinclair's job much harder. Still, he would persevere and overcome this obstacle. Hopefully before Lord Savage caught wind of the delays and decided to investigate the matter personally.

The situation around Malidris itself had calmed greatly since Viox Savage had made his announcement. Resistance tapered away, with the exception of Starport Velecta. Unable to push through the defenses, Command Sergeant Sinclair had set up a defensive perimeter around the Starport's main entrances and restricted travel in and out. Until he received further orders from higher up, he would keep the perimeter secured.

4.5 hours before First Order invasion. Malidris. Starport Velecta.
The ride back to Malidris had been a quiet one. No one spoke. But everyone knew what was about to be done. By locking down the Starport, they would instantly become number one on the government's hit list. But it needed to be done. As the shuttle set down at a public pad at the Starport, Kaz disembarked. He was clad in his Field Armor, toting his A280 Blaster Rifle. Several more of his soldiers poured out from the newly arrived shuttles. A Lieutenant approached him.
"Sir! All teams are in position and ready to begin. Orders?"
A look of grim determination crossed Kaz's face. For a fleeting moment, he almost considered not pushing forward. But then the though of those being mistreated or ignored by the government came to mind and strengthened his resolve.
"Proceed as planned. Secure the Starport's entrances and ensure the security stations are under our control."
The Lieutenant nodded.
"Alright move it out! Boss wants this place secured A-S-A-P! You all know what needs to be done!"
Feeling slightly removed from the situation, Kaz watched at several of his men took down a group of armed security guards. Blaster fire rang out. Panic began to set in. It wouldn't be long now before the local law enforcement agents were on them. And if the situation escalated enough, the Army wouldn't be too far behind.

2 hours before First Order invasion. Malidris. Starport Velecta.
Over the course of two and a half hours, the members of the Red Vortex movement has successfully secured Starport Velecta and locked it down from the public. Naturally this attracted the attentions of the Iridonian Armed Forces, Iridonian Central Intelligence and the Malidris Security Forces. Kaz had been expecting that. One didn't make a statement like locking down a starport without attracting all kinds of attention. Now it was just a matter of reinforcing and digging in, waiting for the IAF and MSF to come in after them. And Kaz was prepared to fight them to a standstill. With well over fifteen hundred soldiers under his command currently, he was prepared for a prolonged occupation.

One Hour before First Order Invasion, Malidris city square, en route to ICI debriefing station, Twenty blocks away from Starport Velecta.
Stavrax noticed that there was a lot of movement from the army, it looks like they were headed over to Starport Velecta. Stavrax wanted to go and check it out, but ICI would already be upset with him for being late on purpose, not that he would admit it. The ICI building was still an hour away from their current position, Stavrax felt as if he was being watched well he most likely was ICI had spies all over the city.

Malidris. Legacy of the Void.
High Admiral Savage's flagship, the Nebula-Class Star Destroyer Legacy of the Void hung low over the Zabrak city of Malidris. Savage himself, still garbed in his High Admiral Dress Uniform, strode onto the bridge. His subordinates saluting him as he walked. The ship's Executive Officer, Commodore King greeted him near the command chair.
"My lord. I have already contacted Grand Admiral Bennette and Fleet Admiral Harper. They are just waiting for you to join them."
Savage nodded and climbed the steps up onto the raised platform. He seated himself in the command chair and picked up his hand held datapad. After keying in the appropriate sequence, he was linked with Bennette and Harper.
"Scarlet. James. Is it safe to assume King already mentioned why I requested an audience with you?"
The images of Harper and Bennette shimmered slightly, then re-solidified. Solar interference, most likely. Bennette was the first to speak.
Yes, my lord. We have already taken the liberty to begin planning the campaigns.
Savage nodded.
"Excellent. Malidris is nearly secured. Our forces performed admirably. Minimal loss to ourselves as well as the natives. As for the fleet engagement, I expect a full report on that sent to my quarters by tomorrow morning."
Bennette inclined her head.
Of course sir. Moving forward, I have prepared Dead Space Company for surface activities. Colonel Locklear is eager to be heading up the strike on the Academy. Zhaboka Company is prepared to a hard drop insertion to secure the perimeter.
Again, Savage nodded in satisfaction.
"Good to hear it, Grand Admiral. I have decided to make a few last minute changes, however. Colonel Locklear will need to be informed that he will not be heading up the strike. Lady Novax and one Alex Witwer will be taking point on the strike against the Academy. Tell the Colonel I apologize for the abruptness of my decision."
Bennette smiled, though she looked confused.
Lady Novax? As in Larissa Novax? Casualty reports from the Fall had indicated she had perished during the final battle...
Before she could continue, Savage headed the conversation off.
"I am painfully aware of what the reports say! Scarlet, you have served under me for nearly thirty two years. Do you really think I would have explored all viable options to explain this situation? I have made my decision and it is final, Grand Admiral. I suggest you prepare to drop Zhaboka and then move the Dead Space into position to support our forces on the ground at the Academy. Dismissed, Grand Admiral."
Regardless of whatever shock she was experiencing, Bennette simply smiled coldly and inclined her head as her image disappeared from the conversation. Harper, looking slightly paler than usual, swallowed hard, then spoke up.
I am to begin my assault on Wortan, then? Knowing you well enough, that is your next intended target.
Savage studied the Admiral's face. And then he spoke.
"Not just yet. I want to see exactly what opposes me and the First Order on the planet. Wortan is a crumbling ruin turned slum for criminals. There is nothing of importance there for us. Let's give those that oppose us a place to retreat too. Launch several surveillance drones and observe for now. I want to know what sort of criminal elements are taking residence in my city."
With a curt nod, Harper spoke.
Understood sir. I'll report to you once the first pass by the drones is complete.
And then the Fleet Admiral's face disappeared from the screen. Savage set the pad down and leaned back in his seat. He sighed deeply. Iridonia was already his, but this was only the beginning to his ambitious plans...and soon Nicademus would become aware of what he was doing. But for now, he was till a respected member of the First Order. Until the day that Nicademus himself confronted him, he would continue to do his duties as well as fuel his own plans.

First Order Invasion. Malidris. Starport Velecta.
The situation at the Starport was a stalemate. The Red Vortex Movement was refusing to give ground and the MSF and IAF refused to meet any of their demands. And that's when a rumbling in the sky took Kaz's attentions from the scene being caused at the Starport's gates. He glanced skyward, watching a ship settle into position over the city. Within minutes, troop transports and starfighters were being launched. Kaz motioned for one of his operatives and pointed skyward.
"What in the hell is that? That doesn't look like one of ours. Get me intel...get me comm traffic. Get me something!"
Kaz barked angrily as he pulled out his portable holocom.
"Loran. It's Kaz. We've got a situation developing over the city. Unknown hostiles are attacking the city. Get the Ion Cannon prepped and ready for action. And get me a direct line to the Commander in Chief of the IAF. This is bigger than our little squabble now..."
And with that, Kaz gripped his rifle tighter. This situation went from a demonstration to shitstorm in no time flat. If Iridonia was under attack by a foreign power, he would put aside his differences with the Army and defend Iridonia with all the men under his command. He only hoped that it would be enough...

First Order Invasion, Malidris City Center.
Stavrax and Zinn were in the middle of crossing a street corner when Military grade Ships appeared in the sky. This can't be good he thought. Then the ships sent out Troop transport shuttles. Stavrax knew what this meant. His world was being invaded, by who he didn't know yet. They really needed to head to ICI and see what was going on.
"We need to hurry Private, double time it"
Yes sir.
Both of them pulled out their rifles and started to run towards ICI. They could see Troops being deployed in the city. They came up on three hostile troopers. Stavrax pulled his trigger three times and all three troopers fell, all head shots. Stavrax and Zinn walked over and examined the dead bodies.
Do you recognize the armor sir?
"They sort of look like the old Sith Troopers, but this armor been upgraded and modified. I do have an idea who those troops belong to, but i need ICI to confirm it, so let's head out"
Stavrax and Zinn started to head towards the ICI debriefing station, all the while being on the look out for any of the invading troops.

First Order Invasion. Malidris.
Selina approached the main gates to Malidris as the ship moved into position above the city. Not the most encouraging sight, to be sure. But she still had a job to do. She knew where ICI headquarters were, so she's head off that way. Knowing full well the might of what remained of the IAF would be mustering a counter response to the invading troops. Selina opened the throttle on her speeder bike and wove down the narrow side streets, avoiding the busier sections. The last thing she needed was to get bogged down in traffic. And with hostile forces overhead, they would undoubtedly have shut down the rocket trams. With four blocks to go, she would catch her prey soon enough...

First Order Invasion. Malidris. City Center.
Two Atmospheric Assault Landers set down in the middle of the street in downtown Malidris. As the ramps lowered, silver armored Sith Troopers poured forward. Greeted with scattered fire from the local authorities, the troopers took up defensive positions and returned fire. Though they weren't intending to kill. Their blasters were set to stun. As the Sith Troopers took down their targets, a broadcast over a loudspeaker sounded out.
People of Iridonia! Stand firm against this sudden invasion. Together we stand united! Divided we will fall. Protect your neighbors and do your civil duty by defending your home.
A crimson armored Sith Trooper called out to his team.
Find out where that is coming from and shut it down. We can't afford to have the civilian populace arming up to fight back. We are here to take the planet as quickly as possible. Move!
And so, the First Order's invasion of Iridonia began full force. With a battle raging overhead, and the majority of the occupying forces focused on the Dark Diamond Palace, other the rest of Void Company was split up to help take down the city quickly and quietly. As the Sith Troopers began taking down the small pockets of resistance, the AAL's closed their ramps and lifted off, heading back to the Legacy of the Void for more troopers. More specifically the stealth capable Shadow Stormtroopers. Malidris would fall quickly and silently, as it was never the intention of the invading force to take the bloody path to conquest.

First Order Invasion. Malidris. Starport Velecta.
Kaz was now on the comm with the Iridonian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, Donnovan Brenick. And despite the forces currently invading the city, Brenick was still not in the mood to negotiate with him.
"Sir. I understand you don't deal with terrorists, but we aren't. You've seen our work. We've never endangered civilians. We've never killed innocents. You know me well enough to know I still wan what's best of Iridonia. And right now that is for us to put aside our differences and unite under a common cause to fight a foreign power. I have the Starport secured. I also have the means to drive back that ship. You need to trust me and allow me and my men to do our jobs."
A reply came from the blue hued image of the aged Zabrak that was Brenick.
Son, the only reason I am even entertaining the idea is because we are rapidly losing ground. Our fleet and orbital defense platform weren't equipped to stand against the fleet arrayed against us. Without orbital support, we are stuck to playing this on the ground. Which is why I will be sending a team of soldiers to be my eyes and ears at the Starport. It's not that I don't trust you, but I don't trust you. If we win this, the fist thing I am doing is shutting your little movement down. Understood?
Thinking quickly, Kaz knew it was the only way Brenick would support him and provide a unified defense against the invaders.
"Understood sir. Once this is over, I will dissolved the Red Vortex movement. But under one condition. We hold elections for a new Ruling Council and the crimes committed by the currently Councillors is brought to light."
There was a strained silence between them, as Brenick thought over Kaz's terms. After a full minute of consideration, Brenick nodded.
You have my word, Del Oucoa. We pull through this and drive off this invasion, and I will do what I can to ensure there is an election and the current Councillors are held accountable for their actions.
Kaz nodded in satisfaction.
"That's all I ever wanted, sir. Someone at the top being held accountable for their actions. We'll defend this Starport to the very last. You can count on us. Del Oucoa out."
And with that, Kaz terminated the link between him and the Commander-in-Chief. He then proceeded to open a channel with his forces.
"It's Kaz. We've made peace with the IAF. We are to defend this Starport to the very last man. Am I clear?"
Several dozen acknowledgements reluctantly came through, but his forces were ready and willing to follow him. Now they needed to dig in and prepare for a fight. Once the enemy decided to move against the Starport, he was fairly certain they wouldn't hold back.
