First order of business the Rules:
1) Voting For a whole new council
2) You get 5 votes for the people YOU would like on the council
3) None of your votes can be for yourself
4) 5 people with most overall votes get a seat
5) 5 days (Five 24 hour cycles) after the first vote is cast voting is done
6) One set of votes per jedi writer regardless of how many jedi characters they have
Now with that being said just a couple housekeeping things.
Edit part 2: For anyone uncomfortable with open voting I will withhold my vote until the very end and anyone who feels uncomfortable voting in the open can PM me and I will combine it with my votes so no one knows if it was them or me who did the voting. They just need to confirm that it is indeed among mine and I'm not just stuffing the box.
Edit Part 3: The list of those who are willing to be voted in
Votes should be in the following format just to keep things nice and easy for those who have to count and keep track.
On top of that you are encouraged (but not required) to state your reasons (can be IC, OOC, or better yet BOTH) for you choosing each candidate as that can sometimes make it helpful for others who may not know everyone as well.
Disclamer: This thread is for voting only, anyone caught discussing and/or arguing will be hung by their toes in the courtyard and beaten with a wet carp.

I have my reasons for who I named, but I refuse to break them down into singular reasons. Suffice to say, these are the ones I would trust to run the Jedi Order, and do so in the best interest of the Jedi on the site.

Well, I was going to exclude Mike for being a drunk; but then I'd have to exclude Will for being Corellian (same thing as a drunk) and Adi for being a toker (and I don't like his hair)...Monte for being a hermit, Jena for being a busy doctor, Aer for being from Earth, and (even though I can't vote for myself) me for also being a hermit; but that only left me with two and Jade's a girl, so...guess that makes Eli Grandmaster, even if he only has one IC post that was too long for me to actually read. So, I needed new criteria. I decided to scratch the old guard (Adi [yep, sorry old buddy, but you were on the Council as a Knight Advisor; plus you're Watch Lead...that counts], Aer, me, Will) and start anew, which actually left five; but seemed too "gut reaction" or full scale change. I don't like change. Then I decided to see how many posts the masters had made on the OoC board recently to see how they were leading the Order or leading it astray...but then thought some people may be busy IRL and wondered if that should disqualify them; plus I'm one of the bigger (recent) topic derailers and, though I can't vote for myself, I probably shouldn't give people a reason not to vote for me...right? Besides, that was voting using OoC knowledge; clearly against the site rules. Then, I thought, Maybe I'll just wait and vote for whomever votes for me. But, if I've learned anything from history, it's that nepotism doesn't lead to good leaders. Finally, I realized (remembered?) Mike and I are the same person and a vote for him is a vote for me...and since we're 3/4 of the Jedi and have a majority anyway, all this voting is moot. So have fun voting in this falsely democratic endeavor. Meanwhile Mike and I will plan our rule of the galaxy as father and son (...wait, does that mean I can't vote for him?).  Serious sidenote: There are a lot of good choices to choose from, making it very hard for me to narrow it down to just five. It is apparent that I should get out and RP with all of these Masters asap as they are all amazingly awesome.

We don't have a very long list from which to choose, so that makes this more difficult, and easier, at the same time. Following are the major criteria I used to choose my five, and I'm sure some of my judgements were biased, because I know some of you very well, and others less well.
Activity - do they have time to serve on the council, or do they seem to have other IC or IRL commitments?
Diversity/Variety - in many areas, such as IC skills, OOC skills, IC place of residence, OOC writing group, etc.
Prior council service - how well did they handle it and how active were they?
Plausibility - is this character a mainstream Jedi that would ascend to a leadership role?
RP ability - is this person a good writer and collaborator? Would they make a good mentor to new RPers?
And that still left me with more than 5, to my pleasant surprise. There will always be new opportunities.
