Principal Authors: Morgenstern
Who can post on this thread: Morgenstern
I want to receive critical responses: Y
I will be using standard Universe rules here (e.g., canon-only, fleet limits, etc.): Y
Timeframe: 10 years after Jacen became a father. 20 years after ROTE
Other: ROTE was basically a set up for this story. I thought of continuing from the same thread but since the short story of Morgensterns history is done with there isn't really a point of continueing with ROTE. This continues the story as the main part.

How are you feeling.
A calm and gentle voice spoke to the man on the table, a machine descending towards his chest. Needles extending from tube holes which neared his body like the one's in his neck, he could handle it so far but there was no lying here. The truth was in his expression. It doesn't hurt. When will the procedure be over?
He said wincing with pain every now and then. His nerves began twitching all over, the weirdest feeling he's ever felt. The needles pierced the flesh of his chest and into his body, she checked his vitals and then turned to look at the man after he spoke. The procedure hasn't started yet. He looked at her, unable to hide the worry upon his face. He kept thinking to himself ''I am a soldier of the Galactic Empire.'' But even that wouldn't save him from the pain to come. I would ask you to prepare yourself but nothing can prepare you for the pain your about to experience.
She looked over at one of the assistant doctors with a nod, there were a few switches flipped releasing a chemical from the machine above him, threw the tubes and into his body. He began shaking violently, instantly trying to break free from the restraints that held him down. There was so much pain it was preventing him from screaming, his throat wasn't getting any air and he was choking on nothing. One of the assistants grabbed an oxygen mask and placed it on his mouth, he stepped back and looked around. Several tools began floating inside the room, then it was the surface the tools rested on. Almost everything in the perimeter of the table was brought off the floor. Shut it down! It's enough!! She ordered the others. Though the person in charge here stopped the call she made as he kept starring behind protective glass. Clear the room!! She shouted. An assistant doctor turned to run but he was brought off his feet and thrown into the wall, then pushed up the wall and onto the ceiling. NO MORE PLEASE GET ME- AHHH!!
He continued screaming and began pulling on the restraints which held him down, he pulled even harder with all his strength. He had turned enough breaking the needles which pierced his body and then all of the sudden ''CRACK!!'' The restraints cracked in two pieces. He threw his legs to the side and stood up, looking around the room. The one in charge of this was gone, fled like a coward. The doctor stood where she was, standing in the corner. Private... She said to him. Rowen?! He turned to look at her after hearing his name. Are...you alright?
She was almost scarred to get his attention her way, just in case something went wrong. Was it even suppose to happen this way? She thought to herself as she observed him, he didn't say anything at first. Rowen looked down to his hands. That was no implant surgery. He looked up at her. What the hell did you do to me.
From out of the darkness, the man in charge appeared. Observing in hiding the entire time. He made his presence known as he observed his work, he looked at Rowen like the Empire owned him. He smiled at some sort of success at hand. It worked. The mysterious man suddenly said. Looking from his hand Rowan looked over at him. What worked.
The man lowered his eye glasses, the light reflecting into his spectacles emitting a light around his eyes. Looking rather odd like a mad scientist, although, most Imperial scientist were given the green light to do what ever they needed, whatever they thought would benefit the Empire. You have endured the consumption of a great power. The Empire will use you until your spent.
He shook his head. I didn't sign up for this. The man began laughing like a mad man. Rowan approached him, grabbed his shirt then tossed the man threw the protective glass. I'm getting out of here! He said, looking at the doctor before he broke threw the door and began to run. She waited until he was gone, then she went into the observing room and knelt down beside the man in charge. He couldn't move his legs, but he pulled himself up against the wall and caught his breath. He will be back...we can chase him but in time he will come back home. To us.
Despite losing the ability to walk, the man was still kind of psycho. Laughing a bit just thinking of how successful his work turned out to be and the thought of repeating the procedure. Thousands of times, to control an army that powerful. Would be to play god. She wandered into the procedure room, looking around. Running her fingers along the restraints that had held him down, the restraints, Besker Iron.

Prophecy theme
Few people know of this legend. Prophets, would scream prophecy, the lost order of the Jedi believed it to be blasphemy against their code, profane talk. Many councils threw the last few decades denied it to be true and so the legend was lost and the prophecy to be, was forgotten. The story spoke of three men of honor that appeared only when the great scale of the force tipped and balance lost. Threw history it was recorded they returned as different races, personalities and a different set of skills. But when this story was forgotten it turned into a child bed time story. The predicted date of their return was yet to pass, in fact this very day was the day. And still, no sign of them. A legend yet to happen, the story twisted and changed threw the years. The story, very real. Though not as fake people make it to sound. This was how the galaxy remembered the truth about the Jedi Order lost, the truth about the deceiving empire and the reality of the legend to be. AGE of the WARJEDI
There were so many people here once. Free people, a time ago. Dantooine was a world where the last of the Jedi Order held their ground against the Dark force Empire of Darth Xsivious. Now the Empire controlled this planet, farmers and miners were now prisoners and slaves. The occupation of the Imperial soldiers made this a much darker planet, there weren't anymore tourist coming here. These were dark times for the Galaxy, ruled by a man blind by his legacy he took upon himself at a young age. Jacen Morgenstern commands the Empire without hesitation of what needed to be done, he's a changed man. A job like being heir to the throne would do that to someone. A week after the imperial Soldier escaped his brothers and commanding officer, he hides somewhere on this planet. Dantooine was once a home to him, its where he was recruited into the Empire. He joined willingly, but he discovered the truth behind the wall of lies. An escaped fugitive, a lost possession of the Empire, a walking weapon. They referred to him as many things, but not once did his brethren in the Empire refere him as a friend or a brother in arms after the procedure. Rowen was considered an abomination to the rest of his team. He couldn't turn to anyone.
OUTPOST GRAVUS- Dantooine's terrain- sunrise.. There was a chilling wind out here, far from the military HQ of Dantooine. Burnt ground surrounded the outpost, signs of battle. Grass grew threw the dirt and various patches in the area. Soldiers were taking in the catch of the day, six more slaves added to the hundred of thousands the Empire already had. The commander kicked one of them in the dirt because he was moving to slow, a few men laughed as the rest of the slaves fell since they were chained together at the ankle. The rising sun was bright, nearly blinding the commander as he turned to look at the horizon. In the distance he noticed two figures walking slowly towards the compound. They were all armored and equipped with blades, rather odd looking.
Four Imperial soldiers walked outside the oupost perimeter to seize the two men of their weapons and armor when all of the sudden the two mysterious men shot throwing knives at the approaching soldiers killing them in an instant. These men began dashing towards the enemy soldiers, daggers were suddenly floating around them, every soldier that got close were impaled by the blades and killed. The two of them unsheathed long blades, the Katana. From a distance, blaster fire echoed against the hills. Other soldiers were alerted, but quickly outpost Gravus became silent.

Go! Go! Go! Imperial soldiers rushed threw the courtyard of the old Jedi Enclave. This was the capital of Dantooine, other buildings were built around the Enclave. There were even space ports and market places. Though it was no city. Rowen concealed himself with heavy ragged robes, he looked in the direction of the soldiers and pulled up his face wrap then followed the commotion. Rowen brought barely anything with him in his travels to Dantooine, just the steel sword at his side and the clothing on his back. In just a few days he was a soldier of the Empire to a wanderer without a place to stay. He had bark of a tree under his feet and tied up with ripped cloth. Though he could move fast. Very fast.
Soldiers embarked north on many speeders, heading towards outpost Gravus. One got on a speeder until Rowen grabbed the collar of his armor and threw him off with one hand. He threw his leg over and begun following the rest of the soldiers. He found them approaching Gravus, quickly securing the area. Four soldiers heard the approaching speeder until it appeared without a driver, once Rowen had approached the perimeter he jumped off the bike and ran up the side of the wall. He watched in cover from on top of the lower roof as the soldiers discovered the wounds these dead imperials had, all killed by blades. One of them walked off on his own and opened up a channel with HQ. This is scout leader, I think we've got signs of rebellion. Outpost Gravus has been wiped out, all blade wounds sir. He was speaking to someone in charge here, who didn't seem happy with the news by the look of scout leaders face. He was quiet for a few moments until he started nodding with worry, there was a commotion just in front, the main entrance. Soldiers took aim, Rowen crawled to the edge to check it out. Are those...Jedi? He said to himself at the sight of two armored men stepping out into the open. Heads down and waiting. Either way some of these soldiers were once his friends, he had to stop this. More soldiers took aim when the men reached for their Katana blades. Rowen leapt off the edge and landed on his feet, bending his knees just before landing. A fall that would break most peoples legs. One of the mysterious looking men was caught by surprise as he raised his head, looking over at Rowen.
Rowen revealed his identity to the Imperial soldiers after removing the wrappings off his head. He knew these soldiers and he hoped they would respect anything he had to say if they were willing to listen. He raised his hand. Well I'll be damned...Rowen. Where the hell have you been! A soldier shouted, obviously one of his friends by the way he was speaking to him. Scout leader joined the men, and it seemed that those katana wielding men had waited to see what Rowen had to say. He's a traitor to the Empire. He's with them...he even looks like them. He'll be treated as such. Scout leader said when he raised his blaster and pulled the trigger. Rowen stumbled back, he fired again, again and again. He was shot against the wall, despite his recent...procedure...it still hurt to get hit like this. The warriors drew their blades and attacked. Rowen felt better, he looked at the scout leader and begun approaching him. He was shot at again, the laser hit his steel blade. Knocking the weapon from his hand. But Rowen kept approaching when suddenly he jumped with a swift kick of his leg into the soldiers chest plate, cracking it center threw. He grabbed the crack in the chestplate, pulled it off as it broke into pieces and with his other arm he swung at the mans face shattering his jaw. He let him fall then grabbed his blade, he looked at the warriors which were dropping the soldiers like flies as they scattered to get some distance between themselves and their dangerous katana blades. A warrior swung at an escaping soldier until suddenly Rowen reached out and stopped the blade, the warrior actually stopped himself centimeters before his katana would of sliced threw the steel. He looked at Rowen. They've been defeated...there is no need for more bloodshed. He didn't expect what they would do next, relieved, Rowen lowered his blades when they did. The soldiers had scattered in many directions, this place was taken. Its reinforcements destroyed. The one warrior who noticed him earlier turned to him. What, is your name.He spoke with some sort of foreign sound to his galactic basic language. It was definitely not his first language. I am Rowen...I'm just a wanderer. I was once a soldier myself...but now not so much. The man seemed surprised, looking at his friend, he looked back to Rowen. You...are the wanderer?! He spoke like it was suppose to mean something. Rowen was in fact a wanderer but he was confused as of why they referred to him as 'the' wanderer. They were already odd nonetheless, though they did have some sort of Jedi feel. I'm just a wanderer...you know...from planet to planet. Here and there... The one beside this man stepped over beside Rowen. Planet walker? You are this planet walker, the one Wanderer to be found. He continued to speak in another language Rowen was not familiar with. You. Of age. The planet walker you must be...it is fate. Guided you to us.Rowen scratched his head and nodded, kind of confused at this point. But apparently now he was this planet walker they spoke of, it would be smart to get himself out of this mess before this person they spoke of was really found. He tried to say something but he didn't know what to say, at a loss of words.

Coruscant prime. A lone giant resting in the core worlds allowing trillions to live day by day. The planet itself stations the largest portion of the Imperial fleet, though there were more then usual these days. Overseeing the construction of the Empires new secrete weapon was Jacen Morgenstern himself, the weapon was an idea of Darth Xsivious. Before the dark lord passed, he left the blueprints behind for his only son to carry out the construction. The written name for this weapon, 'Requiem' As written on the blueprints. Every step of the construction he watched from the flagship, he wondered what his masters intentions really were. The truth is, Jacen does not know what the machine is capable of. For most of his life now he's commanded & conquered in honor of his father but now for once he fears the unknown. Strange days these are. Then as he starred at the massive machine he heard a repeated sound, his children training on deck just meters behind him. James and Cale, though only one of them was force sensitive and that was James. Though Cale was more skilled in sword play. James couldn't lift anything yet, except using the force to merely sweep his brothers leg to get an advantage though it was always Cale that came out the winner. Still both were very talented.
Jacen turned around and held his hands behind his back when he smirked at the sight of his children training, he sometimes wondered what life would be like if he never joined his father in the Empire. A lot would be different he could bet. He felt comfortable in his position, he would rather be feared then to look weak. He was the only Sith lord now, and no one would dare appose him. The only thing he feared is that weapon just outside being constructed between Coruscant and its star. Still, with quite a distance between both massive objects The Requiem was given a new class of destroyer because of its size, the Collosal class destroyer, the first of its kind. It was said this ship would end all rebellions, each cannon on the ship could rip apart a star destroyer. Though it wasn't its secondary systems Jacen was worried about, it was the large dreadnought class looking front of this giant ship, though with a large round hole at the center. In the center of this hole they were building one large particle accelerator, with smaller accelerators located around the larger one that was created to revolve around the middle. The smaller accelerators confused Jacen, why would Xsivious make it to absorb unknown energies in space while the larger accelerator already creates energy of its own like the Death star had done. He kept thinking to himself that it would destroy the weapon itself since energy would be absorbed while the middle creates it into a weapon. Xsivious told him much, but there were still many mysterious surrounding that man that he took with him to his grave. The deck doors opened and Cale, the older one, entered. Jacen approached his old friend. Have you come to finally accept my offer?
Jacen smirked referring to offering Cale a commanding officer position on board this ship. Jacen trusted no one else then him, Cale shook his head. He seemed to have something on his mind and Jacen knew this the moment he walked in. Sorry Jacen, not my style. Actually...I'm here because i thought you should know that there was an attack on Dantooine. Surviving soldiers reported that there were just two men with swords that wiped out Outpost Gravus. There's a chance it could start a rebellion.
Jacen nodded and looked to his friend again. They must be powerful in the force...we have to stop them. Stay with James and Cale...I'll take a ship to Dantooine myself and rid of this problem.
Cale shook his head. No, last time you decided to stop a rebellion up rise you ended the lives of hundreds. Innocents. You're a big bad Sith lord and leader of the Empire but dammit Jacen, have some humanity. Ever since she died you've cared less...just remember you still have your kids.
Jacen looked down for a moment then looked back to the two of them. You're right...I'll head planet side.
He said to his friend. Then he looked to one of the officers with a nod, Dantooine it was.

The plains of Dantooine are beautiful at sunrise with the horizon. The two sage looking men were watching the horizon, like they were reading the sky and by the look of Rowen's expression they had recently stopped running since he was catching his breath. He looked at the two of them while taking a few steps closer and stopped by the first guy who spoke to him. Why are we sight seeing now..
Rowen asked with a bit of confusion, yes the sky was beautiful but it was nothing to stare at for a while especially just after killing many Imperial soldiers and being on the run. The man smirked and chuckled, spoke with his eyes still set on the sky. What purpose do you still hold on to that is keeping you here.
Jacen looked at him and thought about it. He shrugged and remained quiet for a few moments. You see, sometimes there need be no reason. No reason until a reason finds you. You're waiting to see what happens...there is danger. The horizon tells us this. He looked at Jacen. Off this planet we need to go..
Jacen took a few steps ahead of the two and looked at the sky. He tried to look for any danger coming his way but he couldn't see anything, there was nothing at all in the sky telling him to get the hell off this planet, he shrugged and turned around again. I don't see anything! He shouted. What were they seeing that he could not. Something, which revealed itself moments after he had turned around. A star destroyer entering low orbit, the three of them began running in the opposite direction and they ran fast. Though they could not out run the star fighters leaving the destroyer, in one of them, Jacen piloting the fighter and racing their way.

Is it worth landing, ending their lives face to face. Should i take them out now or go down there and kill them by my own hand.. Morgenstern thought as two Imperial Knights followed behind him. The two other star fighters descended closer to the ground, as Rowen ran he looked back and saw Jacen looking down at him. The man who led the Empire, the Sith lord himself. An Imperial Knight open fired when Rowen stopped, he was hit in the shoulder by the fighter turret laser and thrown a meter back. The two others stopped to his aid while the Imperial Knights circled around them while Jacen landed in front of the group. Rowen was still alive, he ripped a part of his robe off then looked at his shoulder. The Beskar Iron muscles covered in blood and Veins exposed. As the Sith lord approached Rowen got up then unsheathed his long sword, the two others pulled out their Katanas. Going somewhere gentlemen? Jacen said, when Rowen looked at him he felt more anger then he originally thought he would have if he ever seen the Sith lord himself. The two Imperial knights ignited their double sided lightsabers, the three of them had no way to go. The more talkative man stepped around Rowen and looked at Jacen. You, Xsivious your father. You are worse...you'll kill trillions if you continue the path you are on.
Jacen looked at the man, where did he even come from. He was maybe in his mid 40's, probably a bit older then Jacen. Though he hasn't seen him before, he seemed much like a Jedi. Though Jacen could feel the anger in this one. You're an interesting one...you wouldn't happen to know what a Jedi is would you?
Rowen looked at the two men. Were they actually Jedi this entire time. The man merely starred at Jacen after he asked the question. Don't true Jedi control their emotions. My father was the last of the Jedi, and I killed him. So what are you, really.
The stand off was very tense, Rowen fastened his hand around the hilt of his blade and starred at the two Imperial Knights. We are the chosen of this age. You are the Tyrant, the end bringer. Deceived by your own blood, still you shall carry out his last words. Trillions lost, over honor of an honorableness man.
His words actually got to him, he did not want to be a murderer or trillions. Though he also didn't believe what he said, a part of him maybe. The insult towards his father is what ticked him off, that's when Jacen ignited his lightsaber. At the same time, Rowen cracked. He pushed past the 'chosen' man and walked up to Jacen as he shouted with a fierce strike. The blade crackled against the lightsaber, Jacen looked at him. You must be Rowen then.. He said to him when Rowen quickly grabbed his wrist and squeezed. This actually caused Jacen to shout in pain. Rowen pushed him and he stumbled back. That's the first time in a long time I felt pain like that... He chuckled. Your strong...sounds like the procedure was a success.
Jacen said with a smirk. But you're not invincible. Built of Beskar, but you're mind is weak. Iron bones are no match for the power of the dark side.
