Who: Xeo vs Bloodshot Rules: no ranged weapons or ranged force powers Standard GBA rules Post what you have in first post
*The duelists will be dueling on top of three moving Garbage skiffs, floating along on repulsers. The Skiffs are placed 5 meters apart from each other in a triangle formation, flying at the relatively slow speed of 15 kilometers per hour. The skiffs are not well balanced however, make sure you do not slip off the side and fall into the molten garbage below. The skiffs are 10 meters long by 4 meters.*

Bloodshot stood on the leading edge of the forward skiff, looking down into the molten garbage passing below. I like the ambience... Very moody. He turned back to face his opponent, a man half a foot shorter than he was with a little extra padding around the middle, but still obviously in good fighting shape. He took a step forward as he drew the (currently two foot) collapsible electrostaff off his back, but only one step. He held the staff in his left hand and remained where he was, knees bent and muscles tensed, ready to defend or counter-attack as necessary.
Ready when you are.

And so he would have his revenge, opening his eyes with a start maybe this was one of those life flashing between his eyes moments. Maybe this was a universe were Xeonon had not died at the hands of Bloodshot. Who really knows. Honestly who even cares. Standing on the skiff he wondered how he got there. On his body he could feel the now familar weight of his shield on his back which he slipped off onto his left arm. On his right thigh a lightsaber and his left hip a blastsword. He had lost him hammer and guns into the molten garbage below facing the last competitor. Standing in the middle of the skiff to Bloods left he smiled. Come at me bro. It was a simple statement but this person looked dangerous and honestly Xeonon was not looking forward to going up against him. The weapon his hand looked pretty straight forward. Two feet long, with an end that is presumably glowing. That is of course if its like what I picture it as, if not well something similar to the shock batons from Demolition Man maybe.
Anyways Xeonon stayed put, maybe if he stared at the man long enough he would just burn into oblivion. His right hand tensed much like one about to draw a gun. All his muscles were tensed ready; waiting not really wanting to make the five meter jump over the boiling magma garbage below but he had to. The tension in the air was as thick as pea soup and after a few minutes of standing still Xeonon began to run and jump as he made it to the edge. Maybe infusing his legs with the force just a little to make the jump he landed on the same skiff as Bloodshot. Landing on the right corner he stood and faced Bloodshot his hair plastered to his face from the heat. Now he waited for his opponent to pull the first strike.

The baton was solid black in Bloodshot's hands, the only glow it produced being the dull orange reflection of the lava beneath. Time to go to work. As the other man leaped, the mercenary moved, shifting his weight to the left toward the same side his opponent would land on as he charged forward. The shift in weight would unbalance the skiff, tipping it violently to the side as the other man landed, and unless he had accounted for such an occurrence when launching his jump the chances were good that it would throw him off his game. There would be a distance of almost thirty feet to cover between them, and Bloodshot had covered half of it by the time the man landed, his own balance adjusting for the expected shift in footing. He covered another three meters in as many steps, hopefully still catching the man off-balance, then lashed out with his left arm, driving it and the baton into the remaining two meter distance between opponents.
Bloodshot's reach was long, but even with the two-foot baton it was not even close to THAT long, and the move might have seemed entirely useless at first glance. The truth, however, is that appearances are all too often deceiving, and as his arm thrust forward, the baton itself shot out to its full six and a half foot length, compounding the force of the initial jab into more than enough to break bones. It wouldn't, however, if it struck its intended target; the breastplate of the crimson armor the other man wore. At most, the physical damage it did would equate to some bruising and the loss of breath, but if it struck it would also conduct a lethal charge of electricity into the man, not to mention the sheer force of the blow potentially knocking him clear off the skiff.

Xeonon had fought here once before, many many moons ago and as such he knew about how unstable the skiffs were. He had hoped his opponent had not but alas shit was serious. As such when he landed on the skiff he was prepared for it to be moving up and down. Keeping on his feet he worked hard to stand upright but the real threat was the man running at him. It would have been comical actually to see a person stop short of a blow by a fair distance. However when the baton kept coming and morphed into the spear well he knew he couldnt and didnt have time to laugh.
Half out of practiced ease and half just reacting Xeonon twisted his upper body the spear going by his body harmlessly. With his still free hand Xeonon lashed out with his Nuero Shock Hand to grab hold of the shaft in front of his chest in an attempt to gain control of the spear and crush it. Obviously the latter would not happen as it was made of Phrik but Xeonon would not know this right away. Not until he went to crush it and found the metal unrelenting.
Once he found out though he could infer a fair amount about the person. In most instances only a Mando had access to Beskar and this person was not dressed as one. That only left Phrik. A person who hunter force users no doubt. He could not wait to rid this universe of such filth, there were already way to many of them these days.
With the shaft in hand (giggity) Xeonon hoped that maybe he could wrench it free of Bloodshots hands by yanking it hard towards himself.

Did he just? The mercenary was incredulous as the man's hand closed around the end of the staff, likely in an attempt to disarm him, and lethal amounts of electricity surged out of the metal and into the appendage. Yup. He did.

Well balls, as the energy courses through Xeonons hand he felt it go through him in slow motion. As the energy poured through his prosthetic hand he prayed to god that it would not explode. That happened once. It wasnt nice. A giant fragmentation grenade. Although his hand had been on it for a brief second the shock was terrible. The only reason he did not pass out was due to the fact that he had did a stint as a shock boxer. His body had grown accustomed to electric shocks over the months being Kolgas personal boxer. As such the pain was bearable. Only just. Now this doesnt account for the whole thing. As the skin first touched his skin an unconscious part of him took over; force absorb.
As the energy coursed through his body he absorbed it let it fill him up and become one with him. He felt like he could lift the sky on his shoulders but with all the positive aspects of the force so came the negative effects. If he did not get rid of it his body would burn, the amount that came into him was already great and he could feel it deep down in his soul. He had to get rid of it or burn hotter than the garbage below. As such he simply got rid of it. Let it go. Letting hte natural flow of the force take back what it rightfully deserved.
Using the second part of the Repulse hand his palm flexed ever so slightly so that the powerful blast would eminate from his hand and shoot the spear out of his and bloodshots hand. Of course this had a downside. The excess power which had been flowing through his arm went through the power cell that operated the repulse function shorted out. Although the arm still functioned it was no longer used as a ranged attack. Only as good as a metal arm.
As he stood there the skiff had almost righted itself but she still rocked. As such Xeonons lower body fought to keep him up right his hips and rear thrusting behind him ever so shortly. A dull throb in his right shoulder were the electricity entered his body. No doubt he was burned there but that would have to be dealt with later rather than sooner. With his right hand he drew the sword from his left hip and stood there waiting. Hopefully the spear was out of play. If not well I will deal with that when I get there.

The staff flew away from Xeonon as the repulsors in his hand activated, but as he had been gripping the far end of it, the move only pushed that end of the staff out to Bloodshot's right. Stepping forward as his right hand came up to grip the shaft two feet down from his left, he caught it before it could travel a full ninety degrees and pushed it back toward his opponent, using the space between his hands as the pivot point of the staff and pulling with his left while pushing with his right and twisting his hips into the blow. All told, the force generated would be more than enough to drive Xeonon entirely off the edge of the platform mere inches behind and beside him if it struck, its intended target being either his abdomen or the shield in his left hand (depending on which way he's facing at the moment). It wouldn't matter which part of the man it struck, the force of the blow would carry through regardless, and it would land just as the other man's hand touched the hilt of his sword. Assuming, of course, that it did actually land. If it did, the electrical charge it carried would be a secondary concern for Xeonon, but still a concern if the blow landed on his body.

Well lets see what my options are here. Get shocked or get thrown into the lava below. Both do not sound very fun and as such I am going to move out of this location. As I swore against the whole ranged force moves thing I am going to make things a little dodgy. One does not need to look at the weapon to find it on their body, his eyes were on the weapon coming at him and when it did not leave his hands as hoped it told Xeonon something. This guy was strong. Unnaturally so, be it the force or augments something had kept it in his hands. As such he had either had to get distance or get closer.
Wait why dont we do both! Using the force once again Xeonon felt the pressure build up in his legs as he jumped the force sending him up and over the spear. While in the air he finished pulling out his sword just as he was passing over top of his opponents head. Swiping down he swung trying to behead the masked man before anything else could happen. Landing about 2 feet behind Bloodshot and began to close the distance. What the fuck dude? Cant fight me like a man? Have to shock someone to death.

Nowhere to go but up. Good forcie. The move would have worked if Bloodshot had been an entirely two-dimensional fighter, but unfortunately for Xeonon, he was not. As his opponent coiled his legs for the leap and subsequently launched himself off the platform, the Umbaran simply began to raise his right hand as he drove the staff toward the other man, adjusting the trajectory of the blow to account for the upward movement. Barring a miraculous evasion it would still catch the man in his abdomen or on his shield just as his hand touched the hilt of his sword, and it would still carry more than enough force to hurl him well clear of the skiff and into the molten garbage below, especially now that he had no footing.

Shocking. This duel was really electrifying. We had a real rousing duel here didnt we. It was totally charged wasnt it? These puns doing anything for you? Probably not but it helps keep me happy and thats all I really care about at this time. Taking this shit like a sir Xeonon did in fact get touched by the extended baton but he did not get shocked. No he felt the energy coursing into his body as he absorbed him again. Felt as the blistering white energy filled his empty body to the brim. It made him feel alive, made him feel good. Most of all though it gave him a clear mind for the first time in years.
Whats the point? Even if he wins this fight he will end up in another and another and another. It will never end. Even if it isnt a physical fight it will be one that involves his mind being torn apart from within. He needed to end it and this was the way to do it. Pushing up he drew on the force letting it flow through him and join with that he had absorbed already. 10 feet, 20 feet and 30 feet. He was up high as balls, so high that the heat was noticeably lessened.
What goes up must come down as they say. Ballistakinesis is a form of TK which accelerates an object up to the speed up a bullet. Its an obscure move, but one that Xeonon knew of. Putting everything he had into it at the apex of his jump he sped down to the barge. Not at Bloodshot, no he was just aiming for the space in front behind him. The speed at which Xeonon was moving made him pass out instantly as all the blood rushed from his head which saved him the momentary amount of pain. The shield and sword hit the barge first. The sword crumpled in exploded (far enough away from bloodshot it shouldn't hurt much) Then came the arms. If one had a slow motion screening of it they would see it all crack and pulp.
However to Bloodshot he wouldnt see any of this. Xeonon would be in the sky one second and gone the next. The next thing he would notice was a hole in the ground. Due to the mass and speed of the object Xeonon broke through the skiff, destroying its ability to hover it would fall into the molten lake below. Falling down who knows maybe it will throw Bloodshot off and he may join Xeonon in his molten grave.

A simple repulsor-assisted jump carried Bloodshot off of the damaged skiff and onto the one Xeonon had started the fight at, moving him well clear of the danger posed by the descending craft. The other man's final display of defiance, taking his own life in a last ditch effort to cause as much damage as possible rather than give the mercenary the satisfaction of a clear kill, was one he'd seen many times before. He had to admit, however, that he had never seen a display quite this spectacular before, turning one's own body into the projectile to deliver your final vengeance. I'd give him props for it if he was still alive. But he wasn't. In the end, that was the only part that mattered. There was the hunt, the fight, and the kill, and those were the things Bloodshot lived for.

Ok, sorry for the delay folks. I think it's pretty clear that the winner here is Bloodshot.
This was a decent duel on a technical level, and pretty short to boot. Both kept the posts short, concise, and mostly clear to understand. There's very little to criticize here. Xeo, one of these days you'll break this losing streak. Until then, keep at it brother. Bloodshot, you're getting it together rather nicely, I think. I'm still not a huge fan of the way you've built that particular character, but you're definitely headed in the right direction. Keep it up.
