Baylin made his way into the Colosseum of Angels, with his bag hung over his right shoulder. He had just arrived back on Honghor a few hours ago from a previous mission. He still wore a smirk on his face from the bumpy landing he had done. He had not landed on his home planet before and with the last few months of piloting he had wanted to try finally. A skill he figured was necessary in being a Jedi. Couldn't always rely on others! Not much had changed with him over the last year, other then he now carried his fathers saber on his right hip. He could still today remember the first day Adi, a friend and partner of his father and brought him to the temple. He had explained to Baylin about his father, and even presented him with the opportunity to be taught just the same way his father had been. Now a year later I was as being sent on missions and had been taught basic saber combat. Though I was still struggling with using the force a bit. Rina had been very patient with me.
As Baylin entered the ring, he made his way towards the center of it placing his bag down on the ground. He laid down with a sigh, being home again felt great. Partly cause it was home, but because he could now continue his training with Rina. As I drifted into a light sleep, I started dreaming of Rina and first arriving here. He was the first person outside Adi he had met, and quickly Baylin found himself liking her. At first they just sat around talking. Talking about ideals, and about the Jedi. When he was not with her, he found himself sitting on the youngling class's watching them. Most of them had taken a liking to him and try to get him to join them. He progressed slowly into saber combat, though he learned more of it while he was on his missions then here. Images from the last year had flashed here and there as he slept, though most were of his training with Rina. A few of his missions and learning saber combat, even his mother popped into his head once or twice.
Though the last memory to flow through his head tell nothing but peaceful darkness was the transmission he had received shortly after he finished his mission. It had been Rina asking for him to meet her here when he returned home. Though at the time I wondered how she would know if I didn't come find her, but From what I had been told I figured she would be able to sense me once I landed on the planet.

Dani and Echo Shaewe had been sent by their aunt, Amarina "Rina" Shaewe, to intercept her returning apprentice, Baylin, at The Coliseum. Rina had told them that she would be there shortly after tending to some business. That gave the twins just enough time to mess with Baylin a little bit. They had arrived at the Coliseum a couple of hours earlier and had been sparring with each other and basically just setting up the arena for the training session as Rina had requested. They had never met Baylin in person because they had been on Ralltiir until recently, but they knew about him through Rina, and they knew enough to know that he still needed more training. It was perfect for them especially since Baylin had just wandered in and now appeared to be settling down for a nap. Looking at each other with raised eyebrows, the women chuckled softly from the far end of the arena.
=Dani= "Well look at that. He just waltzes in and takes a nap. This is going to be fun."
=Echo= "You think he has any idea what's about to happen?"
Dani's blue eyes met her sisters hazel ones with a twinkle in them. Quickly pulling her dark hair up into a ponytail, Dani replied with a grin.
=Dani= "He doesn't even seem to know any one else is here besides the usual guards stationed at the doorways."
Echo looked away from her sister to study the young man laying in the middle of the arena floor. Nodding her head in agreement, she swiftly pulled her red hair up into a ponytail as her sister had done. Glancing around, she spied a pile of small round stones, about an inch in diameter, nearby. With a smirk on her face, she picked one up, using the Force to hold it suspended in the air for a moment. Winking at Dani, she sent it flying toward Baylins body. The intent was to have it get his attention, not to hurt him in any way....

Baylin slumbered peacefully. That was until a small rock was launched at him, the rock grazed across his chest with a small bump. Just enough impact to wake him up from the odd feeling of the rock. He sat up quickly his natural instinct telling him danger, as he reached for his saber with his right hand. Baylin scanned the grounds for anyone when he noticed what appeared to be 2 women across from him. He slid his hand away from his saber and started patting of his pants, before making his way closer to them. Slightly irritated that he had been woke up In such a manor. He couldn't believe that balls on these two.
Hey what the hell are you doing!? A simple nudge or hello, would have been better thing to do then that.
As Baylin approached them he rubbed his eyes, before moving his hand up and running it through his hair to straighten it out from sleepin on the ground. When he got close noticed ,that they both appeared to be about his age. One was a redhead, and the other dark haired. I wondered who they could be, as it appeared they had training equipment around them. No matter really, be just wanted a simple apology from them. That way he could just turn around, go back to sleep, and wait for Rina to return. After all he had just arrived back and wanted a bit of shut eye before training. Though part of him knew he would probably be up for good now because of his startled awakening. Damn it!!!

They watched the stone skim off of his chest and saw him sit up quickly, reaching for his lightsaber in the process. Dani folded her arms across her chest as she shifted her weight onto her other foot. Looking over to Echo, she nodded toward Baylin.
"That certainly got his attention."
Echo grinned with a laugh, while Baylin slid his hand away from his lightsbaber. He stood up to brush the sand off of his pants and began walking toward them. "That, my dear twin, was the plan."
Dani just shook her head, drawing idly on the Force, knowing full well that Echo hardly ever 'had a plan.' Most of the time the redhead went headlong into things without really thinking too much about it. This seemed like one of those times again. Soon enough Baylin came to stand in front of them.
=Baylin= Hey what the hell are you doing!? A simple nudge or hello, would have been better thing to do then that.
Echo looked him up and down while placing her hands on her hips with a tiny smirk. "Now what fun would there have been in just nudging you? That would've been way too boring. It takes all the flair and excitement out of first meetings."
Dani had to fight the urge to roll her eyes at her sisters comments, but fight it she did as she pushed a pair of oval shaped sunglasses up her nose and gazed at Baylin through the dark lenses while continuing to draw on the Force.
"What my sister is so eloquently trying to say, in her own special way, is: Hello. I'm Dani, and she's Echo. Rina sent us here to meet you. She'll be here as soon as she's finished with the business she's attending to." Dani smiled at Baylin while watching Echo out of the corner of her eye. The redhead remained silent, for a change, just standing there eying Baylin with a grin....

Baylin listened as both spoke, and grind-ed his teeth together mulling it over. The first one the dark haired one was irritating, Her name echo. Dani how ever seemed to be the one of reason between the two. Standing straight Baylin offered his hand too the two girls, Danni first. If Rina had sent them here to meet him, then any anger or miss-action would cause him some kind of punishment. Baylin shuddered at the idea. Though he was glad to hear Rina would be shortly, so he only had to deal with them a bit longer.
Yeah well there is a thing as being polite, and i'm sorry. If Rina sent you then you already know, My name is Baylin. I am Still in the process of learning to be a Jedi.

This massive amphitheater, near the Spaceport in Nystao, was built using the plans of ancient builders, found on holocrons uncovered in the Rakatan Temple. The Honoghr government wished to pay tribute to those that had come before them, and by using these designs, they built this structure, using modern construction techniques, and materials. The Coliseum of the Angels is an entirely free standing structure, unlike some of it's galactic counterparts that are/were built into hillsides. It is elliptical in plan and is 1845 feet (567 meters) long, and 1538 feet (468 meters) wide, with a base area of almost 18 acres (72,000 m2). The height of the outer wall is 471 feet (144 meters).
The perimeter originally measured 5364 feet (1635 meters). The central arena is an oval 861 feet (261 meters) long and 540 feet (165 meters) wide, surrounded by a wall 15 feet (5 meters) high, above which rose tiers of seating. A retractable domed roof sat atop the structure and could be opened, or closed, within a couple of minutes. There are also several levels below ground, along with a tunnel system, to accommodate staff, guard quarters, participants, equipment, etc.. The Coliseum is able to seat approximately 150,000 (close to 200,000 for events such as concerts where seating would be available right on the arena floor) spectators, depending on the event being held at the time. There are no less than 200 entrances/exits at ground level for ease of seating, and evacuations if need be.
The huge amphitheater was built on the site of a hot-spring-fed lake, part of Nystao's huge park in the center of the city, which also included the Spaceport, and the nearby statue of Whill Anaxilea. This lake also gave the staff the ability to flood the lower levels of the actual amphitheater floor, should the games require it. There are always guards stationed at various areas throughout the building, though they are not always seen by the spectators.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rina sat quietly in a top row of The Coliseum, partially hidden physically by the shadows, undetected by her nieces or Baylin because she was concealing her presence in the Force. She wanted to see how the young ones interacted with each other. With her feet propped up on the chair in front of her, she silently watched the exchange between the three on the arena floor. Though she couldn't hear all that was being said, except for the louder parts of the conversation, she knew her nieces well enough to know that they were most likely getting under Baylins skin....especially Echo. The redhead, either consciously or sub consciously, had the uncanny ability to annoy anyone she wasn't sure about, mainly to test their limits on just how much of her smartass comments or actions they could take before blowing a gasket. It had gotten her into trouble on more than one occasion. Nothing too serious luckily, but in the back of Rina's mind she knew Echo would one day get into something she couldn't get out of so easily. Dani was always the more levelheaded of the two and now it seemed she was acting as mediator between Echo and Baylin. Chuckling to herself, Rina pushed the small rectangular shaped sunglasses up on her nose and continued to watch the three with great interest. She would let them get a little more acquainted before going down to the arena floor....

Pushing a strand of her dark hair behind her ear, Dani shook the hand Baylin offered. Echo, in turn, shook his hand also then pursed her lips and raised an eyebrow.
=Echo= "Still learning to be a Jedi, eh? Well you'll never learn if you let a little thing like someone tossing a small stone at you get you angry."
=Dani= "Echo....don't antagonize the man."
Echo looked at Dani with an exasperated look as she waved a hand in Baylins direction. "Well it's true. If he expects to be a Jedi or even a lightsider for that matter."
Dani raised an eyebrow at her sister and just shook her head with a small grin.
"Antagonizing him isn't going help. I'm sure Rina doesn't want you to abuse her student. Now be good and play nice."
Echo just shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly and impatiently waved a hand in agreement....

Baylin took a deep breath, raising his face to the sky above him. Exhaling he tried to calm his agitation. Getting into a shouting match here would do nothing, but derail him. Plus set a bad example for Master Rina. After being gone for some time it was the last thing he wanted to do. Returning his gaze back towards Dani and Echo, he placed his hands within his pockets and spoke to Echo first. Then his eyes would shift to Dani as he spoke.
I'm not angry, I'm agitated. And i am still new to the whole idea of being a Jedi. I have plenty of years that contradict you're codes. So forgive me if i'm not so fast at handing my habits over yet. I also do not need cradled like a child Dani, she can run her mouth if she wants. I am over it now.
Baylin turned around to look back over the open grounds smiling.
Well do we have any idea how long Master Rina will be? And was there anything else that she had planned for us to do while waiting for her. Better to get to it, before things get worse.
Baylin was ready to do something, if anything. His ideas for a nap had been ruined. He was now stuck here with these two tell Rina showed, and though they were quite good looking. One of there attitudes detoured him from wanting to just stand around and chat. At least tell Rina was here, he would have to explain his reason for leaving. Though once he stated it he knew she would understand. But he was back for good and ready to learn

Rina can suddenly feel a presence growing in her mind, and physically coming off from around to just slightly behind her and to her right. She can hear a strange accompaniment of ethereal, beautiful music that seems to be in her head as much as it could possibly be all around her. Before she knows it, there’s a teenaged girl sitting just behind her to her right. She doesn’t give off a frightening or malevolent feeling, and her disarming smile only makes her look friendlier. For the most part, she appears to be human and young, yet she doesn’t give that impression that she’s young at all, and she doesn’t seem to be detectable within the Force, but Rina can feel her from...life itself.“Hello, Amarina Shaewe.” The familiar girl greets. “It’s been a long time since we last met.” A name, vaguely remembered in the past, slowly comes to mind. This has to be Cherry Mesmer Avatar, the strange yet friendly and benevolent celestial angel. Even Coruscant holds on to certain legends regarding her, primarily that she is a patron saint and protector of those who are true to the light. Generally longer-lived beings would have met her while still alive at least once, besides at the time of their birth. But she seldom ever makes an appearance without reason. Her being here must be for some purpose.

As Rina continued to watch the trio interact down in the arena, she felt an oddly familiar, presence growing in her mind accompanied by ethereal music. This wasn't something manifested by the Force, or a Force presence - oh no, this was something more. This was something almost as old, if not older, than time itself. It was life. This was a gift from the gods, or maybe the being was a god, Rina wasn't exactly sure. She had felt the presence a couple of times before, many, many years ago. It wasn't something one forgot so easily. Smiling, she raised a delicate eyebrow and looked slightly behind and to the right where she saw what seemed like a teenage human girl, but this was no ordinary teenage girl, and Rina knew that all too well. When the girl spoke, greeting her, Rina chuckled softly as she looked back down to the three people on the floor of the Coliseum.
"Cherry Mesmer. It has been a long time hasn't it? I was wondering when you'd make an appearance again. It's good to see you, amie. What brings you here?" Rina smiled while turning around slightly and resting her arm on the back of the seat she was sitting in. At this angle she could still watch Dani, Echo, and Baylin, and keep herself hidden within the Force, while she spoke to Cherry. She was curious to know why the otherworldly being had chosen to appear at this time....

Echo just shook her head at his words and walked over to one of the huge, flat rocks that dotted the arena and sat down. Dani watched her sister for a moment before turning back to Baylin.
=Dani= "Please forgive Echo. She gets moody sometimes. I blame PMS.
=Echo= "I heard that!!"
"I know you did, and you do get moody....don't deny it."
Dani chuckled at her sister, who in turn put up a middle finger in Dani's direction with a slight grin. Glancing back to Baylin, Dani continued.
"Actually, we really don't follow 'The Code', per se. We just do our best to stay in the light and help others when, and if, we can. How far along are you in your Force abilities?"
She asked the question out of genuine curiosity as she tucked a stray strand of dark hair behind her ear. She wanted to know what he was capable of and what he might need work with. Rina hadn't told them much about his skill level, but Dani was willing to aid in his training if necessary....

Baylin turned around as he heard Echo walk away, a smile of victory forming. She was giving up and now storming away in the same attitude, he believed she was trying to get from him. Well not today he thought as he raised his right hand and waved at her sitting down. But when Dani started speaking to him he returned his attention to here. Where was he in his training? Well that was hard to say so far he had only learned things while traveling so if there was levels he had no clue where he stood. Moving his arm to scratch at his chin he paced back and forth mulling it over in his head before choosing his next words carefully. Baylin once again turned to face Dani as he gripped the saber at his side and bringing it upwards.
Actually I am not sure where I stand. I know ive learned a few things while on the mission, or at least moved on to some skill in things.
Baylin shifted his attention towards the saber in his hand. He took note of its design, the feel, and its weight in his hand. He had spent so much previous time studying his weapon he was now able to mentally visualize his saber to perfection. It was a step he had been told was important, not only for someone wishing to use their weapon, but also in application of the force. His face went still has the force was brought into him slowly. It was steady flow. As baylin focused the force towards his saber, it started to rise slowly. Rising tell it meet eye level, once there he to move his index finger and middle finger, causing the saber to start rotating. Soon it was spinning in all sorts of directions.
I have learned to control the force a bit, I was under the assumption now that I had learned to control it. I could learn to start channeling it into other aspects.

Dani eyed him thoughtfully as he concentrated on his saber making it spin in front of him. As she watched it spin, with a grin, she gathered the Force and raised her hand in an attempt to levitate the saber into her own grip.
"Learning to control it is the first step. Learning to keep control is a whole other story, though, ami. And yes....you can start learning other aspects of it. We can help you if you want, until Rina arrives. Despite Echos.... oh so cheerful demeanor, she's pretty good at teaching Force techniques, as am I." Echo, who still sat on the flat rock a few yards away, shot her twin a stern look when the comment was made on her 'cheerful demeanor', while Dani smiled at Baylin again as the saber continued to spin in the air between them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Baylins training had begun and Dani and Echo helped Rina in the young mans training regimen when they could. Weeks, then months, went by and all seemed to be going well until Baylin just disappeared again without any word as to where he was going. Rina had suspected that he'd leave again just by some of his actions and words. She had hoped that this time would be different, that he'd stay and finish what he'd started, but apparently it just wasn't in the cards for him to complete his training at this point in time. She knew they'd eventually see him again someday....but until then, she could only hope that even if he didn't finish his training with her that he'd at least find another willing Master to aid him and that he'd endeavor to stay in the light....

Even though Connie only understands a fraction of what Jemima talks about, the woman's obvious enthusiasm for her work makes it easy to listen to, and the Nagai clearly pays attention throughout the explanation of what it is Jemima does, smiling and nodding to encourage her to continue here and there even though it doesn't seem like much persuasion is needed. When Jemima concludes by apologizing, Connie laughs, waving a pale, thin fingered hand and assuring her, "S'alright, really. I mean, she waves the hand over her head with a grin, I'm na' gonna p'tend I'm intellectualamized 'nough ta have unnerstood everything ya said, but it sounds really interesting, and, she grins, turning to face Jemima as they continue to walk, trus' me, if ya get me goin' on mechanical stuff, I'd be able'a give ya a run for your credits in the babblin' department. Facing forward again, Connie returns her hand to the side pocket of her black Neo-leather jacket, the untied laces of her combat boots flopping as she walks, steadier now since the exercise and fresh air continue to sober her up, and asks curiously, Ya must'a, like, went ta school for a long time to learn all'a stuff ta be an assissy researcher, huh? Her youth spent in a mental institution her delusional mind has refashioned as something else entirely, Connie never formally attended a school or university, and so the fact that others have such an opportunity seems alien to her, which makes it interesting to hear about, so she asks, What was it like goin'a university an' all? Having seen her share of holovids about the university experience, Connie can venture a guess that Jemima was not a student of the party animal type and so asks, Were ya, like, a member'a sorority and stuff?" Stopping and pointing to a gate surrounding a well-lit park area ahead, Connie says, "That's the Coliseum there, then, setting out for it, muses aloud rhetorically, I wonder why they call it a Coliseum? I don't picture gardens when I hear Coliseum, do you?" Shrugging, Connie looks both ways before crossing the street and contining for the open gates ahead of them . . . "A member of sorority? Don't I wish." Jemima remarked dryly. "Most people prefered to stay away from me. I was the youngest graduate...all the time." She wasn't sure why she was being so open about her past to Anzhelina, but something about the Nagai caused the girl to let her guard down around her. Then again, Jemima was happy to have someone to talk to. If she happened to know the plans for the Death Star's design, she probably would have just talked all about it like it was perfectly common knowledge on its design and structure. She stared at the Coliseum. Anzhelina was right. She certainly didn't know what to make of it. "To be truthful, I always thought a coliseum was used for brutal and mindless violent bloodsports. This looks rather contradictory to that idea."

Connie looks puzzled when Jemima explains that most beings avoided her when she was in university, the woman's charisma and cheerful disposition seem rather obvious and appealing to Connie, though she supposes that Jemima may not have been the same in university and the fact that she was younger than most graduates may also have been a factor. Guessing that university is probably not something Jemima wants to dwell on given what she now knows, Connie moves on, laughing when Jemima describes what she imagines a coliseum would be used for. Nodding her agreement cheerily, Connie says, "Yeah, me too. I thought it'd be, like, all dudes with huge muscles fightin' acklays an' nexus and stuff. Shrugging her shoulders, Connie turns around to walk backwards so she can face Jemima as she says chipperly, I definitely like the gardens and fountains and stuff better."
Stopping by a fountain with a statue of an armored figure with a spear and shield standing in the middle of it, Connie sits on the edge of the fountain, stretching her legs out in front of her after setting the bottle of whiskey she was carrying in her jacket beside her. Putting the tips of her fingers in the water and watching the expanding ripples spread out from the small circles she makes with her hand, Connie looks pensive for a moment, remembering the last time she was here with Dees, but recovers quickly enough, flicking her fingers to send several droplets of water soaring out to plop into the fountain as she asks Jemima, "So, whattayawannado? Look at the statues along there, go through the ornamental gardens over there? I think there's, like, a playground somewhere too. We could go onna swings or something if ya want? Gesturing towards Jemima with a cheery grin, she says, You're free from your, like, cube or whatever for now, so ya better make the most of it, yeah? Life is short and all that."

"I think they made a holovid once which featured a colliseum, with an acklay, a reek and a nexu, along with some particularly gormless characters playing two Jedi and a senator who was once queen of Naboo." Jemima observed casually while studying some of the statues and the gardens. She smiled at Anzhelina easily while considering what to do, and the thought occured to her. She thought that she should say "What about you? What do you fancy doing? I'm happy just being out here doing virtually anything. Personally I'm excited to see any form of life in motion. The plants, bacterium in the water, just...you know, life! It excites me."
Jemima was almost shivering with the idea. Or was she perhaps just cold? She always was sensitive to cold, but that was not really the issue here. She just felt slightly giddy having made a new friend, and she was genuinely curious about the microorganisms that grew out here. In fact, just how many did Anzhelina now have on her hand which she'd dipped into the pool of life? as Jemima liked to think of it as.

Waving her hand with a grin when Jemima describes a holovid, Connie says, "You're just makin' that up, right? Sounds pretty ridiculous, and then rests her chin on the top of her right hand after Jemima answers her question about what she might want to do by lobbing the question back into her court. Hopping down from the edge of the fountain, Connie smiles as she claims she has, Got it! excitedly. Waving for Jemima to follow her after picking up her whiskey bottle, Connie says, Follow me!"
Leading the way through a nearby ornamental garden, Connie finds a small break in the bushes she found while wandering the Coliseum and holds one side back while telling Jemima, "Go on, just through here." Once through the bushes, Connie lifts a finger to her lips to suggest they be as quiet as possible and then begins to pick her footing carefully to avoid making any unnecessary noises that might ruin what she has in mind; Jemima's statement about being happy seeing any lifeforms in motion having reminded her of the creek she is leading them to, where she has seen innumerable varieties of birds, fish, reptiles, and even the occasional mammal at night.
Arriving at a relatively level bit of ground near the edge of the creek, which is surrounded on the side across from the one they are on by lush woodlands, Connie sits and pats the ground beside her for Jemima to sit. The sounds of the woodlands, which had naturally subsided as they had made their way towards the creek even with their efforts to be quietl, begin to return after a few moments, and Connie leans over at one point to whisper to Jemima while slowly lifting her arm to point out a tree across from them, "Over in that tree there, see it? Some kind of owl I think. There's all kinds'a, like, birds n' stuff out here. If we wait long enough we might even see some hawks huntin'. An' If ya go closer to the creek, there's all these crustysanic things inna water with the fish. Smiling as she points to a different spot near the opposite bank, Connie whispers excitedly, Oh! See there? A gopher or something I think? Every now an' then ya can see these rabbity things, or micey things too sometimes." Hugging her knees to her chest and resting her chin atop her knees, Connie shuts up in case Jemima wants to just watch and listen to things without constant interruption.

"Huh..." Jemima had quietly settled down next to Anzhelina and just watched in silent awe at the place. She wasn't sure what the spritely woman had intended to show her initially, but she just grinned and followed after her. Now, she was glad to know that Anzhelina really understood her and her nature. It also occured to her that "I think you have quite the biologist in you, too. As much as you might be a mechanic."
She smiled appreciatively at the woman, then frowned as she twisted her head up toward the skies. She wasn't prone to odd sensations in her head, but she felt like something was coming her way.

Connie laughs cheerfully, but quietly so as not to disturb the wildlife, when Jemima suggests that she has a bit of biologist in her, shaking her head as she says softly, "I think I'll keep my day job all the same. I don't even know their, like, proper names an' stuff. I mean, like, you probably know all'a the technical terms and names for 'em, an' their mating habits and feeding habits, and where they fit in the ecosyst . . ." trailing off as Jemima frowns while looking up towards the stars.
A concerned expression replaces her more customary animated chipperness, and Connie finds herself, out of the blue so far as she is concerned, thinking about Ade, feeling a sudden and foundationless certainty that he is in trouble. Shaking her head as though to clear it, the strange worry for Ade persisting, Connie lifts a hand to rub her temple as though suffering from a headache as she asks Jemima in a worried tone, "Hey, are you alright?"
