Here the minerals that are taken from the ground are purified, sent here before storage the furnaces that dot the buildings are kept on nearly all day smelting materials only being turned off to allow them to cool down.

Solomon Mines had long been the source of income and metals to the Imperial Warmachine, started nearly two decades earlier by Gabriel Solomon when he disappeared Xeonon took it over. He had taken it from a local mine to a galactic spanning corporation that had mines on 6 worlds around the galaxy currently. As such many of the more rare ores were shipped back to its home base, which is why Xeonon was here today. Having a day off for the first time in many a moon he wanted to do something special, something he had not done before. Hence why the Master Armourer had accompanied him to the forges of the mines.
Walking over to the different molds that the company had Finnick found what he was looking for, a circular mold that would be perfect for making a round layer of metal. Being the chief expert on metal forging in the Order the aging Ginger placed it near one of the furnaces while he beckoned Xeonon to go get some metal.
While Finnick did his searching Xeonon walked through the many different storehouses that dotted the inner chambers of the mines, passing by one of the materials he went inside Xeonon grabbed a sheet of ultrachrome and continued the search. Passing by the second building he reached into the building with the force to grab the Cortosis inside. Normally he would have got some with his hands he did not want to touch it, he was all to aware of the properties of the metal if it was not handled properly; and honestly he did not want to die. Coincidently the final thing he needed was right beside that so he grabbed some Phrik as well and headed back to where he was going
As he walked back Xeonon thought of the many times that something like this would have helped him out in a battle. To many times had he been forced to fight a losing battle because he was ill equipped for a defense relying to heavily on his armour. No more would that be the case he hoped Turning a corner he headed back into the forges and placed to metals on the table. This everything you need Finnick?
Yeah looks good, why dont you heat up the forges while I prepare a couple different molds for what we are trying to do.
Doing as he was asked Xeonon walked on over to the big metal machines that dominated the left wall, pressing some buttons, turning some nozzles Xeonon prepped the machine for being turned on before pulling a metal rod on the side of one. The inside of the room shook as the machine turned on spewing black smoke from the top of before a huge boom could be heard that caused both mens heads to reverberate. Even behind the blast shield Xeonon could still feel the heat from the inside, heat strong enough to melt most metals to a boiling sludge. Heading over to the tables Finnick was there waiting for him with the molds ready.
Taking off his shirt Finnick revealed a toned body that had seen better years. It was obvious that in earlier years he had not taken care of himself, his chest was full of scars some large while others no thicker than the edge of a credit. Still many more were just circles from burns, but thats the way of a metal worker. Walking over to the furnace Finnick placed the sheet inside a divot inside it where the heated metal would pool. As he watched the artificial flames lick at the metal Xeonon joined him, it seems that deep down every man no matter the species was drawn to flames. They were ingrained in the hearts as something that was good and wholesome that would keep away the bad. Both men had seen plenty of that in the universe, and as they watched the fire both felt a sense of calm wash over them.
It was then that Xeonon closed his eyes and he tried to focous on the good in his life, which was really difficult. Through his life he was pretty much given the finger by fate. As he searched he finally found one; the day of his knighting ceremony. 20 years ago, his Master, Kryn leader of the Imperial Knights had called him to a meeting after training hours. Earlier in the day he had been repremanded for starting a fight with another Knight; back then he was really sensitive about his looks and he had often tried to hide his scars. Someone had found out and after the usual hazing Xeonon beat the ever loving shit out of him to the point where the older Knight could even see.
He had been expecting to be kicked out of the order, but when he entered the room he was met only by darkness. Walking into the middle of the room he was startled to hear the snap his of not one but eight lightsabers. Arrayed around him were the Masters in the order illuminated but their silver blades. Dropping to his knees he was still expecting to be kicked out but what happened next startled him. He was knighted.
Pouring forth these emotions he imbued them into now molten metal, letting all his happiness and joy go it sped up the process of it solidifying as well as made it shine bright in the force. While it was still hot Xeonon plucked it out of the furnace and began wailing on it with a hammer shaping the metal into a perfect disk while compressing the sides. Normally this would tire a man out but Xeonon was cyborged this shit out. He hammered down with his mechanical arm, sparks flying this way and that some landing on him. While this was happening Finnick was working on the Cortosis, turning the pure metal into its purified form. The form that would not kill a being if it touched them, and could also short out a lightsaber. Pounding away and imbuing it with the force he finally did it. Finnick had made the finest Cortosis in the galaxy.
Changing places Xeonon placed the metal inside the furnace while Finnick put the newly shaped Phrik inside a different shaped mold. As the molten Cortosis pooled into the bottom of the mold Finnick turned the heat down on the furnace to a level where the metal would slowly cool allowing the metal to completely purify and attach itself to the metal. Once this was finished Finnick one again put a metal in the furnace, this time the ultrachrome. Watching once again the two men stood their silently sweat glistening off their hardened body. Had their been a woman been present a threesome would have no doubt taken place due to their rippling muscles glowing in the fire.
Finally it was finsihed and cooled down enough, that Xeonon could put it on his arm. Simulating a fighting stance he pretended he was in the thick of a battle, rolling this way and that. Smashing the shield off invisible enemies and blocking the odd attack he breathed heavily. The shield was heavier than what he was used to, even if it was comprised of light materials the shield still came in at just under ten pounds. It would reducing his agility and speed, but he could make up for it with the blocking ability. Satisfied with the outcome Xeonon and Finnick left the forge and headed back to the Capitol. Maybe to find some pretty ladies to celebrate with.
