=Aylee'saresh= The Twi'lek's lekku twitched in amusement as she listened to Cass's half of the conversation. As he replaced the comlink on his belt, her left lekku hid her smile for a moment, before she relaxed, and met his gaze with a poker face. "I'll be ready. I have everything I need right here." She gestured toward the white clamshell case carried in her left hand. "Are you sure your contact will honor the deal? He seems like the type that might want another 50 thousand once he checks my account."
=Guardsman= A former Republic Guardsman, still clad in his signature blue armor, suddenly stepped into their path through the hangar. Loyal only to Captain Wallace at this point, he had been assigned to patrol the outer hangars, and had immediately recognized the blue-skinned Twi'lek. "And just where do you think you're going, Secretary?" He asked, folding his arms, and ignoring Cass completely. "We have seen through your secret. You're more than a pretty face that Koronov kept around as decoration. My Captain's been doing some research on you, sweetheart. You were there when the Galactic Coalition failed, and you helped put that criminal, Nicas Kawlonic, in power. Now here you are, smack in the middle of the collapse of the Republic, having helped put the traitor Standash Thul in power. Do you expect us to believe that's a coincidence?" He glared at her, extending a finger and jabbing it toward her face. "Oh, no, you're not going to just casually walk away from your crimes this time, Secretary."

Cass watches the guardsman and listens too his accusations. He considered telling him that Standash was still the ruling power on the planet, so picking a fight with a friend of hers would only end poorly for the man. And with the fall of the Republic he was little more than a well armed vigilante at this point. All of this he thought about saying, but it was clear to him that the man wouldn't be bothered with facts and logic at this point. Cass stepped in front of the Twi'lek, his right hand just under a thin plasteel case on his back, nestled in the small of his back. If Aylee were to look down at his left hand at his side she would see small white charges of electricity building. Friend, you no longer have any authority here other than what you can force. I am going to give you this moment to walk away and never speak to the lady again. If you choose to continue I can promise you will be dead or at least severely injured within the next few minutes. Now move along. His eyes were filled with an fury waiting to be released, begging the guard to accept the challenge. They also made note of the back up he had within quick sprinting distance. There is no need for you or your friends to get hurt. Maintaining eye contact with the rouge guard, Cass whispers to the Twi'lek woman. When the ship gets here, get inside. Its pilot is a con man yes, but a decent being. He will not hurt you. He will try to get more money out of you, but tell him no. He is too afraid of me to press the issue and I am too valuable to him for him to risk betraying us. It will be ok. Do not join this fight, I can handle it. You might also want to let Dmitri know that he has some unfriendlies looking for him and coming after him.

=Aylee'saresh= Inwardly, the Twi'lek was startled by the tone of the Guardsmen, as the Republic Guard had always treated her with respect, but outwardly, she only flicked a lekku in amusement. The accusations about Kawlonic were folly. The only reason she had taken a position in his administration was to save the Galactic Coalition from complete ruin at the hands of a lazy, corpulent, and selfish ruler with the competence of a brain-damaged fruit fly. It was her unflappable ability to clean up the Chief of State's messes that had first earned Koronov's notice, and when his interim administration replaced Kawlonic, she had been the only executive branch employee retained.
She remained silent as Cass quickly responded to the threats, but her eyes scanned the area for escape routes, and the most likely places where Cass's contact could land a freighter. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a white spark in his hand, and knew that he was about to act. The Guardsman clearly wasn't expecting to face a force user, or he would have called for backup before making his approach. She nodded as Cass whispered his instructions, but she waited for the right moment to draw her comlink. She knew any perceived move to summon reinforcements would spark bloodshed. Instead, she gave him an intentional push, looking to goad him into something rash.
"It would be most unfortunate for you to have an official complaint on your record at a time like this, Guardsman. I imagine the Guard will be looking to downsize after today's events."
=Guardsman= The guardsman snarled, and his rifle snapped upward. "The Republic is dead, and you are guests in our house. You are under arrest, Secretary, and your attack dog will be put down." His fingers closed around the trigger, and if Cass did nothing, he would snap off two blaster shots: one aimed at Cass's chest, intended to seriously injure or kill him, and another aimed at Aylee's lower legs, intended to prevent her escape but not seriously injure his prize. He didn't know who Cass was, not did he care. If he had to kill a few people to get to the heart of the perceived conspiracy, he would.

Cass tried to hide the smile from his face. I was hoping you would make this choice. Cass said under his breath. With his mind, he hit the Force trigger in the back. The curved silver cylinder dropped into his hand. The second it touched his forehand grip, he tuned it slightly and the cyan blade sprang to life. Swinging his arm and flicking his wrist the saber caught the rifle's first blast, deflecting it back towards its origin at a slightly off angle. The blast slid in front of the second that was aimed at the Twi'lek woman. The two bolts of superheated gas impacted and explodes in a flash of light. Cass spun and flung an outstretched left hand toward the guardsman. four bolts of lightning arced toward the armored man's chest. The armor would take some of the impact and eliminate the chance for the lightning to kill. Cass was looking forward to the fight to take a little time, he wasn't ready to end it yet.
As Cass engaged the focus of the blue clad soldiers the wine of a Corellian engine filled the area. The ship moved to the clearing behind Cass and Aylee. The boarding ramp lowered to a point where it would be an easy jump for a woman to make it in. The lightning had had just stopped arcing to the guard; Cass' eyes still were sparking with the blue electricity. Get in, and get to the lower gun. Let's keep reinforcements from coming shall we?

The process took only two full days. From the time Clan Australis had arrived on Coruscant, to this moment. Over the past 48 hours, contact had been made with Mandalorians and Mandalorian sympathizers within the Coruscant Security Force. Those people made contact with their allies among various government departments, and the process from there went native. Word got around that there was going to be a succession. Contact was made with members of the planetary government, and aware that the current governor planned to leave, the option presented to them for a smooth transition was too attractive to resist. There was no clear leader among the planet's senior bureaucrats, oligarchs and powerbrokers, and the bloodletting to come wasn't attractive to any of the potential candidates to replace Standash Thul as leader of Coruscant.
For the first time in millenia, Coruscant would be leaderless. This unbelievable situation called for an unbelievable solution, and thus when word of the debacle of the collapse of the Republic reached even Mandalorian space, Kaine Australis saw an opportunity not to be lightly missed. A chance to put Mandalore squarely in the center of the Galaxy. No longer would their history and connection to the very founding of galactic civilization be swept under the rug. Here on Coruscant, Kaine would have an opportunity to honour the memory of the Taung, a people who had walked the very surface of this world, before it even had the name it had borne these past hundred thousand years.
The nomination of General Kaine Australis as candidate for governor had come as a shock. One by one, the local candidates had pulled out to support each other against the Mandalorian. Kaine ran a simple campaign based on experience, integrity, and public safety. His opponents had not been able to match his impressive resume, and even though he wasn't Coruscanti, and had played little to no role in the planet's governance to date, he had managed to squeak through on Election Night, winning the popular vote by less than a hundred thousand votes.
With significant cooperation from CSF and other official groups, the increased presence of Mandalorians in the Senate district caused little alarm, any of which was quickly settled by senior officers, who had been briefed on the operation. Most of the Clan's presence on Coruscant had descended on the Senate building and its surrounds by the time General Kaine was ready to make his arrival. Not wanting any fanfare, the General had opted for a black civilian speeder in a nondescript model favoured by executives, with the requisite tinted viewports for privacy. As such, his arrival would go fairly unheralded, even as the speeder pulled up to a lower entrance.
Two Mandalorians in the black and green of Australis were waiting for the speeder, and flanked the doors as the Governor-elect himself emerged, boots onto the ferrocrete of the plaza. The speeder door closed behind him, and the vehicle took off, leaving Kaine to lead the pair of ori'rami'kade, who walked two paces behind to either side, on into the Senate Building, which showed obvious signs of being recently rebuilt and restored.

The lightning had had just stopped arcing to the guard; Cass' eyes still were sparking with the blue electricity. Get in, and get to the lower gun. Let's keep reinforcements from coming shall we? =Aylee'saresh=Aylee gasped and ducked as the Guardsman attacked, however, Cass was too quick for the lone soldier, and easily repelled his attack. The explosion of energy partially blinded the Twi'lek, but she quickly recovered herself, springing backward before turning toward the freighter and leaping gracefully onto the outstretched boarding ramp.=Guardsman=Out of all the small groups of Republic officials scattering for their ships, he had picked the wrong one to bully. The rogue soldier snarled in anger as the blast of lightning hit him, electrifying his armor, and causing random muscle spasms in his arms and legs. Even as the jolts threw him backward, he fought to regain control of his rifle, and snapped off several more shots, although he had lost his aim and they were more of a protest than an actual threat to his targets. Heelllppp me He gurgled as two more Guardsmen noticed his predicament and started running towards the fight from the other end of the hangar.=Aylee'saresh=One of the stray shots ricocheted off the hangar floor and whizzed past her head, impacting with the side of the freighter, and she ducked into the vessel, looking for the first time toward it's interior as she sought to identify the model. Born and raised on Corellia, the roar of the engine and the smells of the cargo hold reminded her of home. Along with the side-slung cockpit tube and the saucer shape, the location of the hatches were dead giveaways. A YT-2400. Grabbing one of the hydraulic supports for the boarding ramp, she leaned out again and motioned to her Force-wielding companion. "Come on, don't worry about him, let's get out of here. Nobody needs to die today."

If you insist... He threw a hard shove toward the coming troops, enough the stumble them at the distance. He grabs the rifle with the Force, tossing it aside. Before turning to the ship he takes one step toward the fallen guardsman. He throws his saber, it spins and stands on its blade an inch away from his face. The heat burning hair. And just as quickly he pulls it back. Following would not be good for you. The freighter begins its lift off. Cass flips onto the ramp. The saber vanishes into the pack on his back, and the ramp closes. Time to leave, get us to orbit. He turns to the politician's aid. Any idea what that was all about?

The pirate controlled passenger transport landed exactly as planned and half of the pirates disembarked, disguised as civilians. Arkan was slightly more difficult to disguise with his armour and full-face mask. He was draped in a large cloak and a holo-projector was used to disguise the small amount of his mask that was visible.
As the pirates made their way through the senate complex, several small groups broke off and began to loiter wherever they noticed a Mandalorian. Yes, Arkan had heard the news about the change in management happening on Coruscant. The Core holo-news channels seemed to report on little else for the last week! This was the reason for his personal visit.
Eventually Arkan and a small group of the pirates arrived at the Senate building itself and they made their way inside. It was easy with all the upheaval of a change in regime, with so many people coming and going it was a breeze for the experience pirates to infiltrate the building and make their way to what was supposed to be the most heavily guarded part of the building.

A few more blaster bolts glanced off the side of the freighter, but none came anywhere near hitting Aylee or her companion. As soon as the boarding ramp had closed, she turned away from the opening, to stare at one of the bulkheads as if trying to burn holes in it with her eyes. "Just a bunch of hotheads looking for someone to blame for their loss of power and influence. No world has more to lose from the fall of the Republic than Coruscant, and no one on Coruscant is losing more than the Senate Guard." She shrugged. "Their anger is understandable, but they should be directing it at the young Senator from Alderaan, or at the criminals who undermined the Republic courts." Outwardly, Aylee struggled to project an air of calm, and her face was expressionless, but her eyes burned with anger, and her lekku kept making little, jerky twitches. She was not fearful so much for herself as for the collective fate of the Republic worlds. She worried that the violence they had just witnessed was just a small taste of the infighting and blame-shifting that was currently breaking out on hundreds of worlds across the galaxy. You didn't just dissolve a galactic government without a few innocent heads rolling.

If you have a way of contacting him, you should give Senator Koronov a heads up. I am sure they weren't alone. Cass makes his way to the cockpit, where he finds the squirming pilot. Well Yelmeck. You have two options it would seem. Stick around and face whatever dangers I plan on facing, Or you can take an escape pod. The choice is yours. We don't have time to stop and let you off. Cass gave a half sincere smile to the Roadian. Yelmeck mumbles as he slinks off to the escape pod. Until next time. Cass waves as the escape pod launches back to the planet. Cass sits in the pilot's chair and turns the co-pilot's chair for Aylee. Have a seat and you can tell me where to go.

=Aylee'saresh= The Twi'lek nodded -- which for her species consisted not only of a head bob, but also a distinctive flick of her brain-tails -- and turned to her comlink as Cass made his way toward the bow of the ship. There were two missed calls from Capt. Sara Ruluwoor of the Corellian Defense Forces. She had not even heard the device ring over the commotion outside, but now she listened to the recorded dispatches carefully. The Selonian CDF officer had originally come to Coruscant as a military advisor to Senator Koronov, but now she was coordinating the evacuation of the Five Worlds delegations.
Secretary, this is Captain Ruluwoor of the CDF. I hope that you are already off Coruscant, but if not, be forewarned that vigilante-minded Republic Guardsmen under a Captain Wallace are probably looking for you. We just traded fire with them near Koronov's Star Shuttle, and thus I have told the other Corellians to leave without me. The first dispatch reported, in Sara's silky Selonian voice. I am going back into the Senate Building to find Koronov and get him off the planet separately.
Well, that was interesting, if not slightly too late to serve as a real warning. She was relieved to hear that Hadrig and the other Corellians were safe, but also could feel a hollow pit forming in her stomach as the implications of "going back" for Koronov sunk in. Her finger trembling slightly, she pressed the button and advanced to the second message.
Secretary, I have Koronov now. We are leaving on a Corellian merchant freighter. To make a long story short, Wallace is dead, but his men may still want revenge. Please confirm your status, you are the last Corellian for whom we have not accounted.
Well, that was good news. Aylee exhaled a breath she hadn't realized she was holding in, and immediately sent the ok signal back to Capt. Ruluwoor. Then, she shoved the comlink back into her pocket, and made her way toward the cockpit just as the escape pod jetisoned. "Koronov's fine. The CDF pulled him out." Hooking a thumb toward the back of the ship as she somewhat awkwardly took the unfamiliar co-pilot's seat, she asked. "What was that all about? Our new friend gave up his ship that easily?"

He is a coward at heart. He will put on a brave face when he can but he will always run. He got his credits, that would be the only thing that he would stick around for. A lot more than this ship is worth. We are much better off without him. Plus he is the kind of guy it is nice to have afraid of you. The young man pauses. He knew he had treated the Rodian poorly. He could have, should have been kinder to him. He was raised better than that. He frowns, realizing that more of his recent surroundings had worn off on him than he would like. I have been apart of the underworld for a bit, I guess I went more native than I intended. If it's ok with you, we should send him additional credits. He did do a good job on getting us out of there.

Fudging ones way into the hanger was no small feat, the traffic above the city planet being a nightmare to the most adventurous of pilots. But luckily the man was graced by years of experience perilously running vessels through some considerably rough terrain and as consequence drove through the traffic quite effortlessly, at long last setting the ship down. Gathering the personal effects that he deemed necessary he exited and walked away. Wasting little time the man fast found his way to the nearest exit

Lunch finished Tape rushed across the plaza; back to the mind numbing pencil pushing that paid the bills. "I am so sorry.... Ohhh...." Stopping to help an little old woman to her feet, whom in his haste was plowed over muttered -Tape- "Really, really sorry ma'am...." With that Tape blew by her scrambling to avoid being late, muttering -Late- "I so want to blow this place to pieces."

Comm. buzzing incessantly he came to a full stop. He fumbled with te device, losing control but caught it with a lighting fast hand. Opening the Comm. he spoke -Red- <<Hello>> Face lighting up <<Di my man! What up brother?>> Red listened close head nodding several times then answering <<Alright. Ya. Ya. Cool. We meet soon. Peace brother.>> Cutting the Comm. he continued about his way

Reaching the hanger Di walked quickly leading the way to his Wayfarer and opened the latch. He watched Red play casual strolling across the hanger bay and shook his head -Di- <<Idiot.>> As Red got close enough Di grabbed his arm shoving the man inside and followed. The hatch came down with a thud. They lifted up and moved out with the outrageously slow careful speed of a very inexperienced driver or equally paranoid thief. The wayfarer shot out of the hanger

Coming to a screeching halt a ship docked lightly. Then a motley crew of one of the most unlikely combinations of individuals exited. Any around with a drop of personality raised brows in shock. A sweet little girl among them, walking with a freakishly large dog smiled and blew kisses at all. A woman present screamed -Woman- "I know her! She's dead!!!" She went on more but was quickly silenced by security and who tasered the woman into submission
