*Ellie couldn't even force herself to smile at her sisters comment. Instead, she turned to gaze out the window for a moment before standing up and heading for the ramp.* "Lets just see what we can find among this crap." *She grabbed her helmet before hitting the button to lower the ramp. Putting the helmet on, she turned to her twin.* "Better safe than breathing in toxic chemicals." *As the ramp hit the ground, smoke drifted in, along with the acid stench of burning metal and other debris. Ellie walked to the edge of the ramp and scanned what was left of the ship. Whatever kind of explosive they used was effective. Fire crews darted back and forth trying to put out or contain fires. Soldiers and Jedi alike dug through wreckage for anything useful. A sinking pit formed in Ellie's stomach, one that made her feel like they were chasing ghosts.*

Grabbing a Roamer-6 breath mask from the back of the co-pilot's seat before she follows her twin towards the boarding ramp, Kaiya nods absently as she agrees, "Better safe than sorry, yes, her mind focused primarily on trying to make sense of their attacker's casual indifference to the loss of so many lives and so many physical assets; the destruction of the ship they have come to observe seemingly unnecessary and wasteful to her given that it may have escaped the forest moon if it had but tried. Voicing her thoughts aloud, her voice muffled somewhat by the breath mask she secures over her mouth and nose as they start down the boarding ramp, Kaiya, at heart often more optimistic than her sister, says, Our attackers must have an impressive fleet and troop compliment if they could afford to just cast so much aside in what feels very much like a feint. If we're right, and the troops are comprised of so many . . . unwilling subjects, they will have left a trail of some kind to follow. We just need to find a thread to pull, vod. Just one."

*Ellie glanced around at the wreckage in front of them. Even if there were any clues left behind, they'd be hard pressed to find them.* "They would defiantly need a place to hide such a force, but where? Do they have a base in a system we don't know? Where do they get the resources?"
*She started making her way through the closest parts of the wreckage. Some had been drug from the main fire and tossed into a pile.* "Great...where do we even start?"

"All good questions, and all ones we can't even hope to begin answering at this point, vod," Kaiya admits with a sigh while following her twin through the wreckage and watching for anything that looks as though it might offer a clue of any significance about their attackers.
Kneeling to take a closer look at what has been gathered into a pile away from the main fire, Kaiya says, "Well, every ship has a crash survivable memory unit, a flight data recorder, right? It has to be here somewhere, she says, waving her hand around in a circle meant to encompass the area the wreckage had settled in after the explosion that destroyed the vessel, and it is usually housed in an armored, insulated, thermal block that is colored conspicuously to make finding it easier. So, we look for something like that. We find it, and there could be coordinates or something to help us find places to start looking."

*Her sister had a good point. A flight recorder would give them an edge in locating the ships origins. Finding it, however, that was a different story.* "Alright, let's get started then."
*She began her search in a nearby pile of debris. Everything she could imagine from a ship was scattered about, even some parts she wasn't sure belonged on a ship. From engine parts to cybernetics, it seemed to all be there. She stopped where she was and looked around. The remains of the ship were scattered far and wide. Just picking a spot at random wasn't a good start. Ellie turned towards her twin. "Vod. I think we need to find out where the command deck was. Maybe the recorder is closer to that location."

With a shrug of her shoulders accompanied by a mirthless laugh, Kaiya says, "Maybe, but the blast could have scattered the command deck in who knows how many directions. Turning in a circle to try and gain a picture of where the vessel had been prior to exploding so that she can guess where the command deck may have been, Kaiya takes a few moments to settle upon a point to begin a more thorough search, telling her twin, I think it was over there, as she points to the west of their current position, and makes a circle with her hand in the air as she says, so let's try doing a circular search starting out here a bit, and work our way inwards towards that point."
In the end, hours later, it is a young male Rodian Padawan, joining the twins on their search after noting that they are searching for something in particular and allowing his curiosity to prompt him to offer his help, that finally locates the flight recorder and presents it to the twins. After thanking the Padawan, Kaiya asks her sister, "So, should we take it back and see if we can get anything off it, or see if anyone out here thought to bring any equipment to analyze stuff like this?"

*Ellie stared at the flight recorder, her mind drifting away as she stared at the device. Her thoughts lingered on those who attacked the temple. Then to the Sith that had captured her and her master. Why she thought of them now, she didn't know, but vengeance burned under her skin like hot embers. Her sisters voice brought her attention back to reality.* "What? Oh...lets leave it with someone here. I'm sure they have what they need to do the job. Besides, who knows what is still damaged inside the temple."
*She flagged down a passing salvage droid and had it carry the recorder down to the Jedi Master in charge. As she watched the droid leave, Ellie reached down and carefully felt the scar on her right side. She could still feel the burning pain in her side, even though the injury was mostly healed. She watched her twin for a moment out of the corner of her eye as she thought how to phrase her next sentence.* "Hey...vod. Do you care if we head back to the Temple? I want to do some repairs on the Gladiator. Since, you know, it kinda took a beating during the fight."

Kaiya tries, but does not entirely succeed in trying to keep her amusement from revealing itself in the form of a subtle upturn of the corner of her left lip, the barest hint of a smile, as she nods after Ellie, despite her injuries, the stress of the battle, and the fatigue of the hours of searching the forest for the flight recorder, says that she feels like doing some repairs to her ship. Knowing her twin well enough to know that it would prove fruitless to suggest that she try and get some rest, Kaiya says, "Sure, figuring that the old adage about if you cant't beat them, join them applies as she asks, Do you need any help with the repairs, or, she asks in case her sister is using the repairs as a chance to be alone and collect her thoughts or something like that, would I just get in your way with my pretty deplorable lack of mechanical expertise?"

*Ellie gave a nod at her sisters response and started towards her ship.* "I can try and teach you a few things about repairing a ship." *In reality though, Ellie wasn't the best at repairing ships. What she had learned was from her time training under her Master. As she climbed the boarding ramp of the vessel, she turned to give one last glance at the wreckage behind them. Shaking her head, she made her way to the cockpit. Within minutes the ships engines roared to life and carried the twins towards the temple.*

*The Gladiator slowly lumbered into the hangar before setting its bulk on the tarmac. The ships engines whined loudly, before turning into a low hum as they powered down. Letting out a sigh, Ellie leaned back into the pilots chair and stilled a yawn before speaking.* "I'll start a diagnostic scan of the ship first, then we can check the outside. We can at least try and get a few small things done today."
*Leaning forward, she activated the ships main computer and set it to scan for any problems. Then it set in, the exhaustion. Her eyes began to grow heavy and her head began to droop. She sat up quickly and tried to mentally wake herself. She wanted to stand up, but her body fought against her and refused to cooperate. Finally sleep won out. Her eyes closed as she sank back into the chair and sleep claimed her.*

"You know me, Kaiya tells her twin as she drops into the co-pilot's seat with a strained smile, the day's events making levity seem almost irreverent or disrespectful, always excited to learn new things, vod."
Nodding when Ellie says that she will do a scan to see what needs to be repaired, Kaiya stands from her seat and gestures over her shoulder with a thumb, "I'll go and grab the tool kit while you do the scan. Smiling when she returns to see that Ellie has fallen asleep, Kaiya shakes her head and says softly, Figures. Sighing as she sets the tool kit down beside the co-pilot's seat, Kaiya considers leaving Ellie to sleep in the chair for a moment, but ultimately decides that disturbing her rest long enough to get her to bed will be worth the effort and allow her sister to rest more comfortably. Shaking Ellie's shoulder, Kaiya urges her gently, C'mon, di'kut, let's get you to bed," and then helps her twin up and prods her from the ship and then to their rooms in the west hallway of the east building . . .

Reaching up to pull her the hood of her scarf up, Kaiya makes her way up the boarding ramp of the Gladiator, her twin's ship, and as she steps aboard calls out, "I'm here, vod. Is the ship ready, or is there anything left to do that I can do?"

*Ellie heard her sister calling for her from the back of the ship. Quickly finishing the last minute check she was doing, she hurried back to greet her twin. Ellie had also changed, now she was wearing a black T-shirt with a long grew shirt underneath, dark brown cargo pants and black combat boots. She also had on knee pads, fingerless gloves and a utility belt. She looked more like a mechanic than a Jedi, with streaks of grease and specks off oil here and there.* "Actually. I think we're good to go. Just did some quick checks and things seem pretty good. So...are you ready then?"

Patting her lightsaber with one hand and some of the pouches on her utility belt with the other, Kaiya grins and bobs her eyebrows as she says, "I'm all packed and set to embark on the mission, vod. Nodding with her chin towards the cockpit, Kaiya begins heading towards it as she asks, You need to get cleaned up or anything? Going on before Ellie has a chance to answer the first question, Kaiya rattles off a few more excitedly as they continue walking, Do you need me to lay in the course for Felucia? Why Felucia, by the way? I mean, I know its the exciting new official main Jedi Order hangout and all, but what makes you think they will know anything about our Sith? Why not try reaching out to the Sesk'vati on Ryloth first? Unless you think maybe the Jedi Order has a contact o Ryloth they can reach out to? Shrugging, Kaiya drops into the co-pilot's chair and begins laying their course into the navicomputer as she continues at her excitedly rapid clip, Do you think the Jedi Order will know anything that will help us? I sure hope so. I wonder where the trail will take us? Back to Ryloth maybe, or maybe someplace we've never been?"

*Ellie couldn't help but laugh at her twins enthusiasm. Following her to the cockpit, Ellie droppedal into the pilots seat and answered her twins questions one at a time.* "I'll clean up on the way. You can set the course but I'm still piloting. As for going to Felucia, that's where the Sith were based out of. Their leader seemed to know the terrain and a few hidden places there. Between his knowledge of both Jedi and Sith fighting techniques, I think he may have trained as a Jedi there. Felucia might have been his home, that's why he went there, he knew the place." *As she spoke, she ran through the ships preflight check list and powered the large vessel up. The engines gave a roar as they came to life and the boards began to register green. Carefully, she maneuverd the ship out of the hangar and drifted away from the temple.*
"Will they know about this group of Sith? Probably not. If they had, they would have been actively hunting them. As for where it will take us from there. Well, we'll just have to wait and see."
*The ships engines roared even louder as the pushed the vessel out of the planets atmosphere and into orbit.*
