*Roland relaxed slightly as he began to answer Octavian's questions, as if each one was a burden that had been weighing him down.* "Jin was here doing the same thing that I was, making traitors pay." *There was a hint of anger in Roland's voice as he spoke that last part sharply.* "She had actually come to Coruscant to see you, in hopes of preventing a war." *He sighed slightly at the seeming futility of that thought now.* "Unfortunately she arrived at the same time than another one was starting. She was captured by the cabal and imprisoned alongside Yvaine upon her arrival to the planet. We were eventually able to aide in their escape and she helped organize the underworld to fight." *A note of worry tinged his next words.* "She killed one of the coup's leaders when you arrived, unfortunately she hasn't been heard from since, I have soldiers out looking for her now." *He was concerned, not only for her safety, but also for the very real asset she could have proven in helping to end the war between Octavian and Fiora, if she'd been killed before that could be accomplished Roland wasn't sure he'd be able to forgive himself.*
"Your Stepmother is with Yvaine and what remains of the Talons in our safehouse on the planet." *A look of pain crosses Roland's face again as he continues.* "Unfortunately she's been in a nearly catatonic state since...." *His voice fades out slightly, still unable to speak of his father's death, still habitually shoving down the pain as he had for so long now rather than dealing with it.* "She's come to a little bit since Yvaine has returned, but we aren't really sure what's wrong with her." *She'd been examined by the best doctors Roland had been able to find and trust, but few Imperial Knights had any talent with healing, and none of the ones who'd survived the purge of the tower had much skill in that area.*
*His eyes hardened once again as he quickly changed the topic, answering the last of Octavian's questions with just a hint of sadness he couldn't fully mask.* "I spoke with Blatasar before his death, and heard his last words." *His left hand drifted unconsciously to the now empty blaster holster on his left side as he spoke.* "I wish I had better news, but in the end he was simply a weak man who took the wrong advice from others." *The anger crept back into his voice as his fists clenched.* "He was convinced by a corrupt cabal that this was the only way to save his brother's vision from the interference of force users. Two of the leaders of that Cabal are already dead by my hand and Jin's." *HIs voice softened again, anger fading to be replaced by exaustion.* "By the end he had realized his mistakes and gave me this." *He held up the data disk their uncle had given him.* "It contains recordings of the meeting that lead to the coup as well as what he knew of the cabal itself. Before the end he asked me to tell you and everyone else in the family that he was Sorry, and that he had hopes that Amaris will serve you better." *He breathed out, feeling better for having discharged the formal Grand Marshal's final request.* "Then he found his honor for one final time....." *He left the last part unsaid, knowing that Octavian would have already heard of the circumstances of his uncle's death, or at least be able to read between the lines enough to piece together that Roland had given the man a blaster and he'd taken his own life.*
