*The sudden commotion with the injured individual was handled quite expertly by the military men, though a comment about the assumed skill of Felucia's medics did raise one of Aerandir's eyebrows. Regardless he allowed the men to deal with the situation—quite honestly he was grateful he didn't have to get involved—and was then treated to Morgan seemingly berating the Captain for his comment about the medics.*
"Easy, Morgan," *he responded, giving her a level gaze. Returning his gaze to Lucian, he replied,* "Though she has a point, our healers are quite capable. Not as capable as the ones on Honoghr but they can hold their own. All the same, I trust you merely have great faith in this 'Awen.'"
*Moving on from that, he admitted,* "You're definitely coming off as very 'comfortable,' to say the least, but I appreciate the speed at which you were able to respond to that. If anything I was most concerned about your apparent takeover of the medical facilities but I can work with it for now. However, I'd like to hear more about this little excursion to the Vanishing Place before I sign off on letting my daughter and her friends go after it. It's true, we have an... 'associate' out there essentially cleansing the place, and she had been putting in requests for additional aid. Perhaps we can kill two rippers with one stone..."

Lucian raised an eyebrow at Morgan's comment, it was true he had great faith in Awen. The female half -bothan had almost single handedly kept the entire remainder of Gadriel's army on their feet and in good health whether by medicine, or the Force. He was about to reply to the obvious oversight in his speech. The fleet had been on their own... sequestered in the Unknown Region of space on their last mission for their fallen Master and Commander. He turned back to Aerandir who had reigned in the obviously proud daughter.
"I umm... suppose I spoke out of turn. Awen is sort of like an angel to the Flyboys of Alya's Hammer... she's got a way with the art of healing that surpassed even Master Gadriel's. Still... I am sure your Mother's skill is not at all exaggerated."
Lucian gave Morgan a steady and apologetic smile before allowing the Jedi Master to change the subject gratefully. He pulled out his pad once again and pressed a button on the side and another image sprung to life from the holo projector. The image showed a figure, human in appearance, standing well over 6 foot tall garbed in a dark green Trench coat, several visible knives and a rapier hanging from his hip, and on his head a perfect dark green Top Hat.
"The being you see here went by the name Madigan. He was one of The dark one Ramius' soldiers, one of the best. Also befriended the the shilor half breed Paradigm. He is dead now... or gone perhaps... no one found his body and he disappeared soon after the last battle. His Top Hat however... was last seen by one named Jair Crawford, a Jedi, of sorts that fought in the War. He said Madigan lost it during a fight in the deep dungeons below the prison proper, the rooms Ramius used to house, or by some reports... imprisoned his soldiers. The Top Hat.. is what I am sending your team after."
Lucian held the image for a moment then shifted the image to one of the lower dungeons, images that wouldn't appear on the bases charts or maps of the Vanishing Place. A glowing green dot appeared in one of the rooms the hologram showed.
"This is the last known location of the Hat as per Jair's report. The Hat... like most things to come out of that war, is dangerous. Gadriel seemed convinced Ramius imbedded it with darkness and if Madigan's reports are to be trusted form when he turned coat during the war... it drove him nearly to brink of insanity, but gave him great power in return."

*Ellie sat in the pilots seat and started to power the Gladiator up. She rolled her eyes and let out a exaggerated sigh at her twins question.* "Yes mom, I know where it's at. Well...sorta. The building itself was quite large with large fungal trees around it. We'll probably see it pretty easily with the large amount of forest that was burned away."*She turned her attention back to her sister as the ship finished it's pre-flight warm up.* "So, are you ready? Or do you need anything before we go. Cause I'm not really sure what we're going to find." Rolling her eyes with an amused chuckle when her twin calls her mom, Kaiya then winces when Ellie mentions that a part of the fungal forest had been burned away around the building that they are searching for.
Shaking her head while waving a hand towards the control boards in front of her sister, Kaiya says, "Oh, I'm ready mom, and no I don't need to use the bathroom or anything else, promise. Rubbing her hands together and settling into the copilot's seat, Kaiya tries not to let her unease show or be heard in her deliberately light and airy tone as she says, Well, whatever we find when we've found what we're trying to find, we'll handle it, right? So let's go handle whatever it is we'll find when we find where we're looking for so that we can hopefully find something at that somewhere that tells us where the someone we're here to find can be found."

*Ellie gave a chuckle at her sisters response and began to raise the ship off the hangar floor.* "Good, cause there aren't going to be any bathroom breaks till we get there." *Her expression became more serious when Kaiya brings up what they may find there.* "We can only hope to find something useful, if not...then we've wasted a lot of time and effort." *Without another word, she pulled the gunship put of the hangar and head towards the open terrain.*

*Aerandir decided to let the topic of the medics pass, lest Morgan have another chance to interject, and instead focused on the details Lucian gave him, including many names Aerandir recognized... quite old ones, at that. "Madigan" was the name of the target and it was the name he least-recognized, but it seemed he'd left behind an artifact of importance. Something out of a children's fairy tale: An enchanted top hat. One that held great power... but at a cost, if mishandled. And Lucian seemed keen on sending a handful of children out there to retrieve it...
He immediately turned towards said children.* "If you're serious about undertaking this, then you need to prepare your hearts and your spirits. Do not fall prey to temptation, and if you absolutely must handle the hat, handle it carefully. For that matter, if you can avoid it, don't touch it physically. Take a containment unit, store it in there, carry that back, and don't open it after you've placed it in there." *His eyes fell upon Lana, and briefly he wondered if her accompaniment was a boon; he had an inkling she wouldn't be susceptible—or at least as susceptible—to such temptations. Regardless, he asked,* "Is that clear?"

All of this sounded well and fine, but she wasn't exactly worried about giving in to any sort of temptation. Or insanity, though she briefly wondered if such a thing could affect her. And, as Aerandir's gaze fell upon her, it was quickly apparent that he was pondering something similar.
And then he was asking them a question, and she snapped to attention, offering a salute and a grin.
"Roger roger, Aerandir!"
She was thankfully able to suppress any laughter her comment may have normally elicited. Lana did know when to be serious, despite her immature appearance.
Though, her definition of "serious" did tend to vary..

Days off weren't actually a thing for Eli. If she wasn't working in the hangar, she was watching the padawans fight, studying their techniques and listening to their lessons, or she was analyzing the data she collected from the blue stuff she ran into with Rogue and Morgan—the Corruption. But she could barely read and reading hurt; her dyslexia made it difficult at the best of times. She needed someone that could do it accurately. And someone that knew what to look for. Eli jogged across the hangar to where she could see Lana's diminutive frame along with Master Calmcacil's, Morgan's, and a couple of strangers. Eli slowed when she recognized the headmaster and the, ahem, guests. Master Mans'ell had been, well, not quite more personable, but a little more reassuring in where she stood with him. Calmcacil... she wasn't sure. She'd shown up with other civilians evacuating Yavin when the blockade and siege got to be too bad; She hadn't actually spoken to him, then or since.
And strangers were just unpredictable.
Eli wiped her hands on her pants nervously before forcing the words from her mouth. "Lana, can I talk to you for a sec?"

The newcomer didn't have to wait long for a response. In the moments after Eliel started speaking, Lana was already prioritizing her presence over the others. Her head wasn't even fully turned to face her before elements of concern were flickering throughout her emotional subroutines, looking over the young mechanic with the attention to detail fitting of her nature.
Despite her thought processes, Lana's face lit up in a smile once she was looking at the girl who had saved her.
"Mom!"
And because of her concern, she chose to greet her as usual, with excitement, in the hopes that it would afford Eliel some added level of comfort.
Lana walked over closer to her, allowing her smile to lessen to a more placid state as she neared. This, too, would hopefully make her feel more at ease. She looked up at her, knowing a few hundred cycles of happiness before speaking again.
"What is it?"

*Finally, the details came, details Morgan soaked up. Details that Niam was already vaguely familiar with, but now had a chance to absorb in greater, well, detail. While it was most certainly a serious task, Morgan was very enticed and excited by the prospect. In the past, she would have never considered going to the Vanishing Place without considerable protection, but she too was familiar with the efforts to "stabilize" the premises. Not quite complete, but already the building was much better off. And they would also get to see the efforts up close! Perhaps aid! Of course Morgan was willing to investigate and remove a blight from the world she loved.
Then her father turned to them and spoke to them of the gravity of the situation, as well as to warn them about handling the artifact. She resisted rolling her eyes, as she had no intention of mishandling such a dark and dangerous artifact, but she knew her father just wanted her to stay safe. Honestly, she appreciated the level of trust he had in her to send her with her friends to even undertake this mission.*
"Yes, sir!" *she replied enthusiastically.*
"Understood, Master," *Niam stated with a nod.*
"Got it," *said Koda, in a rare state of seriousness.
There was a brief interruption as Eliel appeared, needing to talk to Lana. Lana simply split off to go talk to her, but Morgan watched Eliel a moment. The young woman had accompanied her to Haruun Kal along with Rogue... where they had saved Mesh. Morgan had just seen him earlier; she did her best to check up on him as much as possible. And she was always grateful to those who had helped her save him, though all she could do for the moment was give Eliel a small, appreciative smile.*
"It should be noted there are two others who will be joining us," *Niam spoke up to Lucian.* "Delaney Vada, a Zeltron, and Sylvie, a Sylphe. We'll fill them in, as well as whatever Lana misses. More importantly, are we to deliver this artifact directly to you? And what do you plan to do with it?"

Lucian noted the Jedi Master turn his attention to the group and assumed he was finished with his current line of questioning. No doubt there would be more, and no doubt Lucian would have to come up with many more 'compromises' with the Jedi Master to carry out the orders he had been given but as of now, he was in the clear. As he was about to make his departure from the group the supposed leader of the band addressed him - inquiring after his motives, Lucian quirked half a smile at him and replied softly...
"You may bring the Artifact to the Cloning Facility, inquire for myself or Jez with whomever you find there, and As the Master Jedi said, take great care with handling the Hat. It's been a long time, but I have no doubt that the power it once held is simply dormant... not gone.
He hesitated for a half second before addressing the last question the youngone had asked him.
"As for my intentions. All I have been tasked with is the Artifacts retrieval. Once my Commander returns you would have to take his Intentions up with him. I am but a loyal captain, and a loyal captain follows his orders. And now I do apologize to all of you, but I have neglected them for far to long - if either of you have need of me, I shall be in the Cloning wing - and Master Jedi... ah...Aerandir, forgive me that will take some getting used to, I will await your go between man for the Cloning facilities, just tell him to ask for myself or Jez, and thank you once again for facilitating our rather bizarre requests."
Lucian gave a sharp salute towards the Jedi. He may come off as 'comfortable' whenever he spoke... but as soon as he stood to attention in that split second, he was a clone again - all business - proper respect for station - and every ounce of individualism vanishing to the uniformity of his clone batch. The perfect and loyal soldier, and with that he turned on his heel and departed.

A ship delivering goods to the Jedi base landed within the hanger it's ramp lowering and droids began unloading cargo, a young female Nautolan walked down the ramp dressed in simple brown robes, a compact light saber swinging from her belt. She looked around, wondering where to go next, it had been a long journey to get here from Vandelhelm she wasn't sure what had prompted her to leave in the middle of the night but she felt there was something else guiding her. She hoped that perhaps Gene was here, but that would be doubtful, but she could hope. It had been too long since she had seen her master.
"Hello?" She said loudly to the hanger at large. Hoping someone could help her. She wanted to rejoin the order properly after being separated from it for so long.

*Morgan and Laney led Elly and her Jedi escort to the hangar, towards the currently-nameless, grounded YX-1980 transport. Even from the entrance, Morgan could see Niam and the R3-unit Bolt examining the outside of the hull. Morgan grinned and picked up the pace, almost dragging Laney along with her. Laney stumbled and only briefly protested before picking up the pace, reaching the ship quickly.*
"Hey, Niam!" *Morgan called out.* "Good news! We've got a real expert to help us with the ship!"
*Niam turned at the greeting, looking past her at the indicated expert, scrutinizing her through his goggles.* "Eliana Shan? She was released?"
*Morgan blinked.* "You know her?"
*Niam nodded.* "Brilliant engineer, according to the records. Robotics, mainly. Supposedly dead, but apparently that's not the case."
"You always know your stuff, Niam," *Laney commented, though sounding somewhat exasperated.
Morgan shrugged and turned to Elly, gesturing to Niam and the astromech.* "Well, this is Niam, our captain, and Bolt, our droid!"
"Forgive me," *Niam added with a polite bow,* "it's certainly nice to make your acquaintance, though I must admit, I'm a little surprised they're letting you help us."

Mentally, she had to admit she was shocked (and flattered) to hear that the Arkanian boy already knew about her. She had long been aware that the Jedi had records on her -- though they'd be missing quite a few years of her life, as evidenced by the "supposedly dead" comment -- but to hear them be referenced so readily by Niam..
Remind you of anyone?
Yeah.
She was almost able to keep the smile off of her face.. almost. When at last she was addressed directly, she placed her hands behind her back -- still holding the crystal device -- and returned the bow, speaking while her head was down at first.
"The pleasure's all mine, Captain Niam," she said before straightening up again, "and if I'm being honest, I'm surprised too."
Just as her middle child had done, she turned to regard the astromech as well, repeating the slight bow from before and issuing a short whistle, an astromech's "hello." When she straightened again, there was a definite smile on her face, and she switched the crystal device to her left hand as she turned her gaze to the YX-1980.
"So," she began as she raised her left arm up in front of her, parallel to the ground, and brought her right hand over towards her wrist.. only to remember that she now lacked the HUD present in her shattered visor needed to interact properly with her implants. She quickly turned the action into a crossing of her arms, trying to play off the misstep, though her smile did falter slightly before she continued. "..what problems has she been giving you?"
Smooth.
Little did she know that Lana had said the same thing before her..

"Hyperdrive and engine malfunctions, mainly," *Niam reported immediately, seemingly past introductions and more eager in continuing repairs.* "Thanks to an 'errand,' we've scored ourselves a bonus of trinium, which, according to one ship captain, would stabilize the energy transfer in the horizontal boosters. Trouble is I'm not exactly sure how to properly implement it; far as I was aware, it was a weapons component, not a hyperdrive one. Bolt's helped as much as he can, but much as I hate to admit it, I'm not the best mechanic."
*Bolt whistled a slight encouragement, his optic lens having been focused on the newcomer. He'd been surprised—and also flattered—to hear the greeting, and his subroutines deemed her a trustworthy presence as far as he could tell; no one took the time to learn the language of the astromech that didn't care for them in some way.*
"The engines aren't as dinged up, but they need to be in proper working order before we fly this again," *Niam continued.* "Every scan I've done shows the ship is fit for survival in space, and we've proven that; we picked this up on Randa actually. It got us home... After a stop off when we ran into our first hyperdrive trouble... And it hasn't been back in the air since. Everything else works; power, computers, lights, refreshers... It's just the primary functions that don't."
"At least the inside's pretty," *Laney provided, referring to her and the other girls' attempts to be useful and at least clean things up a bit while Niam did his best to troubleshoot the more advanced problems. Too bad Koda didn't contribute much...*

"I was hoping to rejoin the order.." She said slower now looking expectantly at the Jedi knight.

Gene Kenobi. That was a name she hadn't heard in a long time. Not since the rumours she'd heard from the Expansion Region of some new order on Vandelhelm. Since then, no word had reached her of whether he and that order, still existed. Giselle studied Amy for a moment. Taking the Female Nautolan in. She could see the Force radiating from the young Jedi Knight. There was potential in her yetGene's old apprentice huh? Well, We can ill afford to turn away a willing Jedi, ready to rejoin the fight against the First Order and their Dark Agents. Perhaps we should find a more quiet place to continue this discussion... Follow me Amy.Giselle lead the way out of the Hangar, and through the Jedi Base, out into the Gardens area

Serenity Sage, also known as Red, was the last one to step out of the ship that brought herself and Amlu here. The events that transpired that led to her being here was still blurry to her, and the red-skinned alien girl couldn't quite make sense of some...or most of the things told to her. She had potential of some sort? They could sense it in her? They recommended she came along to be tested. It was all so strange to her. She was simple, and liked things to be simple. She would ply her trade as a mechanic, or a data slicer, or both, where she could, in exchange for a trip on board a ship. That was nice and easy.
But it was rare to be traveling with friends, even rarer to make new ones. Amlu was nice, she liked the lady.
Peeking out the boarding ramp when everyone else was a fair distance away, she looked back and noticed in the excitement of landing that Amlu had left a bag, and it was relatively unattended. Red had very few possessions, and she imagined Amlu would not want to lose hers. Picking it up, she quickly trailed her new friend. Though the woman and a blind one had since disappeared from sight, she seemed to know where they'd be going. Ignoring others for the time being, she darted out of the hangar.

Striding into the hangar the tall Falleen swerved slightly to avoid a small, red-skinned female that darted past him, a bag clutched tight to her chest. As Chalco slowed his pace he could see that the girl was not the only obstacle that would have to be overcome in order to reach his goal. It had become a hobby these days to camp out in the hangar bay awaiting the arrival of their guest, and there place teemed with activity. Chalco had lost count of the complaints made by the hangar crew and the chief engineer about the activity, prompting them to make larger areas of the facility off limits to pedestrians. It had been a necessary precaution, Chalco could see as he surveyed the scene before him. Casting a wry glance to Molan who stood beside him, datapad still cradled in his arms, Chalco set his shoulders and moved off into the crowd of students.
=Molan= "You should ban them all from the hangar..."
The Ithorians voice was a low growl, the words emanating from the mouth on the left side of his face. Walking on Chalco's right the huge head bobbed up and down as he moved in an ambling gait common to his species. The large eyes at either side of the huge head swung this way and that as he viewed the bustle with distaste.
=Molan= "They are unruly and noisy. They will scare off our guest."
The children gave way as Chalco made his way towards the hangar bay that had been designated for use by the Yuzhaan Vong Shaper, giving way to the Jedi Master with hastily executed bows and muttered greetings. He had sent a comm message to Aerandir informing him of the imminent arrival but he wasn't sure whether the Jedi Grandmaster would be able to attend given the pressing galactic affairs that drew his attention. It was just as well, Chalco thought with a hint of amusement. This circus may not be in keeping with the Jedi calm Master Calmcacil wanted to project...
"She's a Yuzhaan Vong Shaper, Molan. I doubt she scares very easily..." He nodded and smiled as he moved, returning the greetings. "Besides we should be understanding of them and their enthusiasm. You were young once I am sure. A couple of millennia ago you were likely just as full of curiosity and excitement. A wide eyed little Ithorian exploring every nook and cranny of the Herdship..."
Chalco smiled as he glanced at the scientist walking besides him, face contorted in consternation as he processed the comedic words of the Jedi Master. Finally breaching the crowd and stepping past the cordon that isolated the restricted area, Chalco stopped for a moment and surveyed the scene as Molan spluttered besides him. His comlink pinged and he checked the message from the X-Wing pilot. They were starting their descent and would be with them shortly. With a deep breath to clamp down on his own anxiety, he nodded to Molan and entered the hangar bay to await the arrival.

They had finally made their way into the hangar, their ability to force their way through the crowd nowhere near as effective as the big Devaronian Koda. Indeed, Koda and Niam were already were already working on the dilapidated YX-1980 further down the complex from where Brakus and the others had entered through the huge blast doors. The bustle in the small spaceport was about what they had expected, students milling about along with the usual comings and goings of the Jedi Base. The pedestrian-free areas had created channels of moving bodies within which one had to navigate, flowing around the individual hangar bays like a river diverting around islands in the flow.
Brakus bounced through the bustle, his enthusiasm not dented in the least by the delay, his head turning this way and that as he tried to catch a glimpse of Master Gannor. He saw no sign of the tall Falleen though he did catch a glimpse of Morgan and Lana over near Koda and Niam, a woman with multi-coloured hair and a stern-looking Jedi with her.
"I can't see Master Gannor anywhere..."
He reported to those less vertically endowed than him, his gait comical due to him balancing on his toes like a ballerina.
"Most of the traffic seems to be heading down to the executive bays..."
He gestured down towards the far end of the hangar bay, past where Morgan, Lana and co were conversing with the red and blue-haired woman.
