After spending more time than she would care to think about working up credits to buy passage, she was finally able to buy her way aboard a freighter to Felucia, only to end up working more during the trip. She is certainly happy to be dropped off at the Jedi Base, even if they barely landed the ship before kicking her off and flying back out of the hangar again. She shakes her head and brushes down her robes with her paws as she stands upright and looks around a bit, memories of her last time on Felucia flooding back to her. A momentary feeling of sadness tinges her fur grey as she thinks of Serrin and wonders where she might be now, but she tries to stay optimistic as she makes her way toward the hangar exit, hoping that she can find someone at the base that can help her to continue growing as a Padawan.

*He'd left Zemear with his family. He'd sensed Morgan's distress, but the presence of her father had kept him from looking into it himself. He only now figured he'd go look for them, to make sure the darling little girl was alright, but when he reached their quarters, Aerandir informed him that she'd been through a rough ordeal and was resting. Tom didn't ask what she'd been through and only nodded, leaving them in peace, though he fully intended to seek her out later, just to spend time with her.
He'd periodically checked in on Zemear, with no real news. Tom knew they all had to be on the lookout, especially if Zemear's Sith father were to return, potentially with allies. Right now, Tom was wandering aimlessly, which led him to the hangar. In doing so, he nearly stepped on a small, furry little creature he almost hadn't noticed. Of course, his foot came nowhere near enough to it to actually cause any alarm, but regardless, had he not been paying attention, he might not have seen it at all.
The little furry creature was a Kushiban, Tom recognized immediately. Eyes widening, both his instincts with strangers and his own curiosity took over as he knelt down and spoke to it.* Ah, a Kushiban! Never seen one of your kind here before. Or, in fact, anywhere. Mysterious little creatures, you are. What could possibly bring you to a place like Felucia?

Asani saw the man coming and would have moved to get out of the way if he hadn't noticed her. By now she was used to avoiding being stepped on when around larger races. As it was, when he kneels down to speak with her, she looks back at him happily. "I have been here before, I guess not many Kushiban have though. My name is Asani and I was training with Master Serrin Roma, but we were separated and I'm not sure where she is now. So I worked up the credits to get someone to drop me off at a Jedi temple or base, and this is where I ended up. Are you a Jedi? I was hoping to find someone to continue training me." She asks curiously as she looks the human man up and down a bit and straightens her Padawan robes.

*Ah, so this was in fact not the Kushiban's first visit to Felucia. Tom wondered if this happened before his time here, or if he simply just hadn't seen the Kushiban during its last visit. He could not tell whether it was male or female, the name seemed to suggest feminine but he couldn't be certain; asking, however, was out of the question, due to his current routine. However, "Serrin Roma" was a name he recognized, a member of the Jedi High Council and someone Aerandir held in high regard. It seemed, though, that Asani had been separated and managed to make his or her way here, and was seeking someone to help complete her training.
As for whether he was a Jedi...* Labels. Everyone feels the need to give things a label. Jedi, Sith, leader, tyrant. Should one not seek what's inside the heart of the individual, rather than what they wear on their sleeve? *Tom didn't necessarily believe this, of course. It was always a test he placed, amusingly unwillingly, upon those he met. Considering the Kushiban was seeking Jedi training, it made it all the more fitting. Her response would speak volumes, and would determine how Tom would respond from there.*

Asani's fur shifts to a lighter shade of yellow and she tilts her head a bit at that question, thinking a moment about what he was asking her. After a bit she nods. "That makes sense... But how can you find out what is in the heart of a stranger? I'm not sure what I would ask you about. You seem kind, but some people play fake nice. You also seem wise to be asking me such a question, but... I don't know what to say... I do know I wish to know more about you." She says as she continues looking slightly up at him as he kneels near her, unaware this was a test.

*Tom's eyebrows raised. That answer was highly impressive. He even smiled. Part of him truly wanted to continue his act but he knew the Kushiban needed aid. Plus, its last statement intrigued him. He chuckled.* Well, few I've spoken to have given me such intelligent answers to things I say. I do not actually believe labels are superfluous. In most cases. But I can tell you have a capacity for wisdom, an excellent quality. *He didn't stand up; Kushiban were quite small species and he didn't wish to tower over one and inadvertently appear intimidating, but he did straighten a little.* My name is Tom Klanzo. A Jedi, I am... of sorts. I'm more what they would call a "Gray," for my loyalties are to the Force and the light rather than any Council. Doesn't mean I won't aid their cause, or any in need. As long as that fact doesn't bother you, I would be more than happy to aid you in any way necessary. *A brief pause. Now that he was out of his "hopeless philosophical" facade, he gave a nervous chuckle.* I find this a touch embarrassing to ask, and I hope you take no offense, but I often have trouble telling apart the gender of other species. I wish to know yours, so I know how to properly address you.

Asani is happy to be complemented, even if it did surprise her a little, since she really hadn't been sure what to say. She also liked that this human was kneeling down to bring himself closer to her level, as it made it easier to talk to him and made her more comfortable to be standing near him. "A grey Jedi? So you just follow the Force itself and do what you think is right, rather than following a council? I did not know that was an option." She says with a tilt of her head, then laughs at his last question. "Honestly, I'm surprised you are the first person to go out and ask me that... Maybe the others just assumed by my name? I am female. As for aiding me, well, I'm not really sure where to start... What would you have me do first?"

*Tom only nodded when Asani noted she didn't know that following the Force and not a Council was an option, affirming that it indeed was. He did not begrudge those who decided to belong to an Order, but his way in life was not to be such. When she laughed at his question, Tom felt a little relieved that he didn't offend her, nodded slightly when she felt the name was an indicator, and smiled.* Well, I too thought your name sounded feminine, but one can never be too careful. I remember accidentally running into an alien, can't recall the species, and said "Pardon me, sir." ... she was not happy. *He laughed, then considered her question of what he would have her do first.* Hmm... Perhaps we should start with what you've already learned. *Another thought came to him, of her mention that she'd had to earn credits to find her way here in the first place. She was lost, separated, and alone. That meant there were other priorities.* But before that, we should probably find you food and a place to stay. Does that sound fine?

Asani nods and chuckles a bit as Tom mentions getting the gender wrong before and the woman not being terribly happy. "Ah, well I see why you are cautious about it then. I guess you learned the hard way that it's better to ask first than to assume and be wrong. I would love to find some food and a place to stay now that you mention it. I'm rather hungry..." She says as her stomach growls. "As for what I have learned, I have been working on the lightsaber forms, and I am most practiced with Ataru. I have also learned to draw upon Ashla to quicken my movements, telepathy, telekinesis, and healing." She answers as she stands ready to follow him to wherever there was food and shelter around here. "I don't really remember my way around here very well. Master Roma and I spent most of our time in the forest while we were here."

Indeed. *This was his answer to her assumption that he learned the hard way to learn one's gender first before assuming. For some species, it wasn't difficult to tell. For others though, well, he hadn't exactly taken Galactic Biology 101.
She confirmed she could use food and lodging, then explained that she had been learning the lightsaber forms, but was most practiced with Ataru. The corners of his lips curled into a smile; that was his preferred form as well. Asani was also capable of Force speed, telepathy, telekinesis, and even healing. Excellent, she'd been taught well. But she didn't know her way around, as she'd revealed she and Master Roma had spent most of their time in the forest. Tom smiled again.* You sound like a little friend of mine, who also prefers to spend much of her time outside. You may get to meet her, later. *Had Morgan awoken by now? He couldn't be sure, but it was probably best to leave them be; they'd cross paths later inevitably. For now, Tom stood.* Well then, I'll show you to the dining area. It's not too far. *He gestured for her to follow as he got to his feet and turned, leading her away from the hangar and into the base itself.*

Asani happily nods to Tom as he mentions a small friend of his who likes it outside, and that she may get to meet this friend later. "I would really like to meet her, sure!" She replies happily as she follows Tom to the Dining area, nodding again as he mentions that it's not far. "Good, I'm very hungry. As for liking it outside, I really do. Most Kushiban spend their time outside, only retreating to a hollow tree or cave to sleep or escape bad weather, but that goes double for me and actually relates to the story of how I came to be found by a Jedi and brought to train, if you would like to hear it." She offers with a glance over at Tom as she walks upright beside him. It wasn't exactly a happy story, but she knows they are events that made her who she is today, and would not change them if she could.

The shuttle Stargazer landed in the hangar, and Terra began to gather her things, what little she had brought. Pretty much only her lightsaber and a few spare sets of robes from her room at the academy, but that was all she needed. She took a moment to thank the pilot for the trip before disembarking, slinging the bag that held her spare robes over her shoulder and making sure her lightsaber was secured to her belt. She walked slowly through the hangar, waiting to see if someone would be there to greet her.

*Aerandir had planned on spending time near Morgan today, but when she'd decided to head out into the jungle instead of bring in Rush to show around the base, he found himself with free time. Granted, knowing the girl, he should have expected her to decide to head into the jungle, but that was fine. So when there was a new arrival at the base reported, Aerandir took it upon himself to meet the new arrival in the hangar himself.
He arrived in the hangar about the same time as he saw the shuttle entering the hangar, bearing the markings of the Corellian Jedi. That was the one, then. Aerandir waited for the shuttle to land, then began his approach when he saw the ramp lower. The occupant was a young woman, matching the description from control, who also apparently gave helpful advice regarding video games. Aerandir would never understand this new AI they put up there.
Ignoring that thought, he stopped before her, smiling in greeting and giving her a polite bow.* Welcome to Felucia. I am Aerandir Calmcacil, and I'm here to be of service. *He didn't have the woman's name; control hadn't recorded one, only the name of the shuttle: "Stargazer." He'd learn that soon, hopefully, along with some more information about her. She could have just been here as part of an exchange, that happened often, but that still didn't reveal anything about the person herself.*

Terra saw someone approaching, likely one of the masters here, and she smiled when he introduced himself, giving a slight bow in return. "My name is Terra. Nice to meet you." She took a moment to adjust the bag again, wondering if she should still be wearing her cloak. It seemed like it was much more humid here than on Corellia. Felucia was one of those worlds that she hadn't really read much about, but now she would be learning about it firsthand.

*Terra. Pretty name, come to think of it. Aerandir nodded.* So, what brings you to Felucia? *As he studied her appearance, he noticed the cloak, a stark contrast to his own lighter, more casual attire. He wondered if she felt too warm underneath the cloak, but at the same time figured she was likely smart enough to quickly figure out just how much more warm and humid Felucia was compared to a temperate planet like Corellia on her own, and she could be the judge of whether or not to continue dressing so heavily.*

Terra smiled a little. "Well my master wanted me to visit different academies to help with my training." She sighed softly, wishing Serrin was here with her. Without her master's guidance and calming presence, she felt nervous and unsure of herself, though she tried not to let it show. "Um...where can I put my things?"

*Aerandir nodded when Terra explained why she was here, but noted the sigh. She'd mentioned a Master, but the Master wasn't here. Perhaps the Master was otherwise occupied, or there was another reason; perhaps he'd ask later, as she was asking where to put her things. No sense in wasting time here, then, when they could talk elsewhere that was less noisy and humid.* I'll show you. Come with me. *He slid his datapad out of his pocket and prepared to procure a room as he turned, stopping only to offer any help if there were things she needed help carrying, then prepared to lead her out of the hangar...*

Terra nodded and followed him, already beginning to feel the effects of the high humidity in the hangar, and she made a note to change into something lighter when she had a minute. Finding nothing else to say for the moment, she stayed silent while following Aerandir through the hangar. She typically didn't talk much, but the absence of anyone she knew here was causing her to feel more shy than usual. At least she wasn't stuttering like she used to anymore...

The small Jedi freighter landed in the hangar, a little ways from the major grouping of parked vessels. Eli powered the ship down, her hands flipping switches and controls but her eyes were empty. Yavin was under siege. Her sister was either dead, injured, captured, or fighting for her life. And she was a thousand miles, lightyears even, away. Was Ariel terrified or taking it in stride? She always did like the idea of grand adventures and battles. Eli preferred to watch holo-vids of adventures from their ship with a blanket and a nice hot cup of caff. Adventures were uncomfortable, more so than their nomadic life. Sure, their life hadn't been easy and they'd been stranded, harassed, and robbed a few times, but they'd never really been in danger. Not like . . . this. Mandalorians. Gods. They were professional warriors. There's no way Eli would've survived if she'd been there. She'd rather be here, on a ship in a Jedi hangar, safe from harm. Preferably with Ariel but she couldn't help that.
Speaking of which.
She stood up from the captain's chair and headed into the back, stretching out as she did so.
"We're here. Had to make a detour. Yavin had a . . . problem."

*Doctor Rollins did his best to mostly stay out of the way during the long journey, apart from a handful of minor conversations with their pilot. He'd also been sure to make sure Gracie stayed out of places she didn't belong, and apologized profusely when she'd gotten too far from him. She was far too curious and excited about space travel, and Doctor Rollins was happy for her. But this Eli Terr was doing them a courtesy, and the last thing he wanted to do was irritate her; she'd strangely offered them this ride freely and without hesitation, but at the same time, she seemed... He didn't want to say "untrustworthy" but she definitely seemed pretty reserved.
At one point in the trip, he'd felt the jump that meant they had dropped out of hyperspace. He breathed a sigh of relief, glad the journey was almost over, but didn't move yet, waiting for the signal that he could get up and leave the cabin. But then the ship jumped again, and he frowned. Why the sudden jump again? He didn't ask, though Gracie did have to ask why the ship "bumped" like that.
Finally, he felt the "bump" again, and the feel of descent through the atmosphere. He felt the ship land, and finally Eli had come to announce that they were "here," and that Yavin had a "problem." He had stood, frowning, intending to ask later so as not to worry Gracie, but the girl had already sprang up from her seat with widened eyes and gasped.* "A pwobwum? What happen?!"
"Where is 'here'?" *Doctor Rollins asked immediately, more concerned about their location. They weren't on Yavin as planned, because something had happened. Was it a trap? No, it couldn't have been. At least, he hoped it wasn't. His fingers twitched and his brow tightened subtly, before he quickly controlled his reactions and held still. If this was a trap... he'd find a way out of it. If not, he really needed to relax. Why would he be abducted? He could think of no reasons, even if Gracie's killer was involved. What would be the point in abducting them when he could just come personally? Still, he remained alert, just in case...*
