"OK!"Terra got up to follow Morgan, slinging her bag over her shoulder, and she noticed that the girl's clothing was rather disheveled. She assumed it was the game she had been playing with her brother earlier, so she didn't say anything about it as she followed Morgan to find Master Aerandir.

Terra entered the gardens followed by Jake, whom she had invited along after a brief chat in the archives. She figured it would be easier to talk with him out here than in the archives, as it wasn't exactly a place that seemed to foster conversation. Hopefully they would have much better luck with finding something to talk about out here. If not...well she would wait to see what happened.
She turned to him when they entered and smiled."So how long have you lived here?"Kind of a generic question, but she figured it was a good a place to start as any.

*Jake made sure to get permission from the archives to take the materials outside, then he was on his way with Terra toward the gardens so that they could read and maybe talk even. Actually, it started as soon as they entered, with Terra asking Jake how long he had lived here. That was an easy question to answer.* A few months. I haven't been here a year yet. Actually, I lived on Yavin Four all of my life, because Morgan and I somehow got split at birth. Well, she found me a few months ago, totally by accident! I mean, well, not an accident; there are no accidents, right? Well, except for little things I guess... but not big things like this! So I've lived here ever since. *Now for a counter-question... he had nothing. Well, something would come to him, probably. Maybe Terra would have questions... hopefully ones he knew how to answer. Heck, Jake still had questions himself he didn't know the answers to... someday, he hoped, he would have those. For now, he was content to grow close to his new family and forge new memories with them.*

Terra was surprised to hear that Jake had only been on Felucia for a few months, though Morgan had mentioned that she had only recently reunited with him so maybe it shouldn't have been a surprise. It was strange how they could be separated at birth like that, and she wondered about how that could have happened, though it was unlikely that either Jake or Morgan would know anything about that.
She smiled and nodded."Morgan told me that you two were reunited recently."She sighed."Wonder if I have a lost twin brother out there somewhere..."She couldn't help but giggle a little at the thought, knowing full well that the likelyhood of her actually having any siblings out there was slim to none."I probably don't though. But that's OK I guess."She smiled again.

*Oh, Morgan had already told Terra about their recent reunion. Jake nodded, then seemed to seriously contemplate the possibility of Terra having her own "lost twin brother" somewhere out there in the galaxy. It was actually—and probably thankfully—a really rare case, and in fact, his and Morgan's family history was all strange and jumbled anyway. He shrugged, then looked back up at Terra.* I dunno. Morgan lived with our parents until she was three, but she says she didn't know them and can't even remember them because they weren't around a lot. They were... killed when she was three, and our dad took her in. He doesn't know why we were separated. I don't either. No one did. I... want to know, but I guess we won't be able to find out. *Jake frowned and looked away, for a moment genuinely disappointed and a bit sad even. It was information he truly desired to learn; why was he the missing one, why did he miss out on several years of growing up with his sister, why did he never get to know his parents? Well, according to reports, it seemed he wouldn't have been able to experience that last bit even if he hadn't been separated at birth. He sighed, then looked up at Terra with a small smile.* Do you have any brothers or sisters?

Terra found herself a little saddened when Jake told her about his family, though in a way it was similar to her own situation. While she had been lucky enough to at least know her father, she had no memories of her mother and both she and her father assumed that she was dead. At least until Terra had seen a vision of her during her visit to Ilum, but even so, that wasn't enough to confirm or deny. She sighed."I'm sorry to hear that."She sighed again and shook her head."I don't know...I don't think I do."

*Jake didn't really say anything in response to Terra feeling sorry for him, though frowned when she said she didn't know for sure if she had any siblings. Why wouldn't she know? Was she... also separated from her family? Well, she was a Jedi, and some Jedi were, so there was that, but...* How come you don't know?

Terra shrugged, knowing that if she answered, it would bring the mood down even more. Still, she had already told Morgan so she may as well tell Jake, and hope that he was resilient like his sister was. She never liked discussing her past in any case.
She sighed."I only knew my father. We...never knew what happened to my mother. We were slaves so...we couldn't find out anything."

*Jake watched as Terra had hesitated before giving her answer: She only knew her father, and her and her father never knew what happened to her because they were slaves. Jake's expression turned completely blank. He'd thought he had it rough, with growing up apart from his sister and having both of their parents dead when they were three, but at least he'd lived a productive life and now lived here with his loving family. He wasn't a slave!* I... I'm sorry... *He looked down and away, now a little solemn. He wasn't sure what to really say to that, but he did feel sorry for her, as she had when he revealed what happened to his own family. Terra didn't even know what happened to her mother, maybe she was still alive, maybe she was dead, maybe she found love again, who knew? Terra probably longed to know... Just like Jake longed to know about his own path. Attempting to muster a strong smile, he looked back at Terra.* Don't worry. I'm sure we'll both find out what happened to our families someday! *He wasn't as good at the confidence-inspiring thing as his sister, but he could try at least. He didn't want to be awkward, and hopefully he didn't seem awkward here, but encouraging. If he could help, he'd even offer, but it was probably none of his business. Still, he wanted to encourage her in some way.*

Jake's reaction to her revelation of her past life as a slave had been mostly the same as Morgan's. She wasn't surprised at this, as slavery was never a pleasant thing to discuss in any case. Still, it seemed he was resilient like his sister was, as he was fairly quick to reassure her that they would find out about their families someday. She couldn't fathom what it was like to not even know one's birth parents, though she was glad that both Jake and Morgan had found their way to loving homes.
She nodded and managed a smile."You're right, Jake. Maybe someday we'll know..."

*Jake only smiled and nodded when Terra agreed with him, then looked around at the gardens as silence fell. Perhaps for too long. Grimacing slightly, he looked sheepishly up at Terra.* Erm, maybe we should find somewhere to sit down and talk?

Terra looked away for a moment, then turned back to Jake and nodded in agreement. They had kind of just been standing around talking rather than going to find a place to sit first. Hopefully the conversation would turn towards something a little less depressing than dead and missing parents.
She pointed towards one of the benches."Yeah. We can sit on that bench if you like."

*Terra seemed to agree with Jake and took no time in pointing out an open bench, suggesting they go sit there. Jake smiled and nodded, heading toward it. When he reached it, he first removed his bag and set it on the ground next to the bench, then climbed up onto the bench. Well, this was pleasant. No closed-in walls, but open air and plants everywhere, a pretty girl sitting next to him— wait, what? Jake blushed a little at that thought and stammered suddenly, then tried to take the conversation in a different course.* E-er, so, um, you and Morgan, you uh, you have a lot of fun together, right? *... considering the explanation Morgan gave as to why Jake couldn't come along last time, maybe that wasn't the right thing to ask. He blushed a little more and hoped Terra didn't notice, nor mind the question. Or maybe she'd be clever and dodge the issue; not the issue of whether or not she and Morgan had fun, but just what they had been doing together. Yeah, that'd work.*

Terra smiled and nodded, noting that Jake was blushing a little as he spoke, and she wondered just how much Morgan had told Jake about their adventures in the jungle. She wasn't sure that she wanted her naked hiking to be public knowledge in the base, though she trusted Morgan and to an extent, Jake, not to tell anyone about it. No use worrying about it in that case, so long as the children kept quiet about it, so she decided to simply not bring it up."Yeah. But I think I'm a bit worn out today...it was a long walk back and we got back late."

*Terra nodded and confirmed that she'd had a good time, though admitted she was worn out, due to the long walk back and the fact that they got home late. Jake remembered; he'd been up waiting for Morgan to get home. Maybe he cared a little too much for his sister's safety, but she'd said she was going to be home that night and he didn't want to go to bed until he knew she was safe. Jake grinned, nodding up at Terra.* Yeah, when we go outside, we... Well, we don't go very far, but we play around a lot, and sometimes I get a little tired, but that's alright, because we usually just ride Rush back to the base. But... I guess you're too big for that. I mean, Dad says he'll get bigger, but I don't know if he'll be big enough for bigger people to ride him... but I don't know. *Jake wondered if he had rambled too much, as he sometimes tended to do. He hated being an awkward conversationalist, but he had to work at getting better. Even if the results weren't very encouraging either...*

Terra giggled, wondering just how much bigger Rush could possibly grow, though she doubted that the akk would grow large enough to carry her. Still, he was Morgan's preferred method of transportation while exploring the jungle. She giggled and nodded."I don't think Rush will ever be big enough to carry me."Well she had gotten Jake to talk a little, and that was certainly a plus, even if he was rambling a little. It was better than him stumbling over his words and getting embarrassed, not that she held that against him, knowing what it was like to be shy.

You had passed through from the Hangar, with quite quiet ease, and the path has lead to a lush and vast garden. The shadows here would work to your advantage, fabled Shadow Thief. A rogue in the dark you moved through here, and it seems here is where your senses had picked up on life. It seemed to be a couple enveloped in their own conversation, you would need to remain silent, and still moving slowly through the shadows past them.
I slowed my breath to a creep, I couldn't let even the slightest sound betray my presence. Thankfully, my padded boots would muffle my steps, and I would move silent but quickly while the pair where actually talking. It had been some time since I had been delved this deep into my old trainings. My training as an elite thief of Nagi, a Shadow Thief. If I was here on contract I would leave with all that I could carry, and then some. But I was here to ensure my survival, and that meant even further discretion.

*Jake smiled when Terra expressed belief that Rush would never be big enough to carry her around, though Jake wasn't sure about that. He hadn't researched akk dogs, so he didn't actually know how big they could get. He made a mental note to look it up later, then looked out at the gardens. Then he suddenly remembered his datapad; with a quick "Oh!" of realization, he leaned forward, opened up his bag, pulled out his datapad, then sat up, resting it on his lap and grinning up at Terra.* Almost forgot, I was reading this. *Oh, that was right, Terra was reading about Felucia too. Hey, that gave them a common point of conversation! Jake could run with that.* So, how much have you read about Felucia?

Terra giggled, remembering that they had actually come out here to read, but ended up talking a little, which was just fine. As for how much she had read about Felucia, it wasn't much, really. Most of what she had read had been about the planet's history and such, and the stuff about the plants and animals she had learned from Morgan during their hike the day before. Probably not as much as she could have learned by reading, but Morgan seemed to know everything pretty well. Though given her connection to the planet, that wasn't surprising...
She shrugged."Just a little about its history. Morgan told me about some of the plants and animals and stuff. I should still probably read about that sometime, I think."

I continued sneaking towards the pair until I passed them through the lush garden. I needed to find the medical bay and soon, just being close to them made me clench my fists. So close to food, but not the type I was interested in. I rarely would feed on sentient beings, an animal was my usual meal, but today I would dine on the blood that they had so kindly gathered up for me. I would be taking several parcels of it as well, for the ride off of this dark forsaken planet.
You moved stealthy as expected, and had managed to get past the pair but you were not out of the garden just yet. You didn't know these people, and this may only be another repeat of the heist on Honoghr where there were Jedi present that could sense you through the force. It wasn't that you had a problem with the jedi, but they definitely did not make any thieves jobs easy. But you had gained experience with the pesky Jedi on Honoghr from Adieumus and his wife. Moving quickly you could see the entrance to what one could safely assume was the entrance to the complex.
