Serena wondered what sort of flying games that Faun had played, though she probably wouldn't be able to join in on games like that. For a moment, she found herself wondering if they could play at all...
...until Faun mentioned swimming, which just happened to be Serena's favorite way to pass the time."I love swimming!"She was about to suggest that they go right now, until she remembered that she still didn't have a swimsuit. While Morgan certainly had no issue with skinny dipping, she wasn't sure about Faun. Her face turned a little red."Um...I don't have my swimsuit yet though...so..."Would Faun care if she went skinny dipping? She was almost afraid to ask...but while she was on the subject, maybe they could invite Morgan along. And if they could get permission from Morgan's dad, they could go out into the jungle and swim in the lake, where no one would care if they didn't have clothes.
She sighed, still blushing a little."You wouldn't mind if...if I was skinny dipping, would you?"

Serena loved swimming too?! Faun beamed; she'd hit the mark! She'd found a common activity! Except... ? Oh, Serena didn't have a swimsuit. Wait, how did she swim then? Oh, right, she wasn't from Felucia; she probably just forgot to bring a bathing suit or something. Wait, why was Serena blushing? Was she just embarrassed that she didn't have her swimsuit?
... oh... Oh...
Faun's eyes widened and she looked away at the ground, folding her hands behind her back. That... was a surprising kind of question, one Faun wasn't expecting. And she wasn't sure how to respond to it. She supposed she didn't mind if Serena wanted to swim without a swimsuit? But then another thought came to her. Are... are you allowed to in the base? Unless she was missing something, she was pretty sure that that wasn't allowed in the base, and she didn't want her new friend to get in trouble for anything like that.

Serena's face went a little red as she realized that she had left out some very important details. She quickly shook her head."Oh! N-no! I c-couldn't do that! I m-meant...outside...er..."She stopped for a moment and took a deep breath, trying to regain control of the situation. She hadn't meant that they go swimming in the base and she certainly wouldn't skinny dip here. She needed to clear this up and quickly."I meant...I was gonna see if we could go outside with Morgan. She can take us to this lake not too far away."She wondered if Faun knew Morgan well, figuring they at least knew each other in passing or something.

Wait, outside? She hadn't meant inside the base? Well, that was... kind of a relief? Faun looked up as Serena was trying to compose herself, then clarified that she meant they could go to a lake that wasn't far away with a girl named Morgan. Wait... the girl that could speak Felucian? Faun knew her a little bit, they'd played one day and Faun learned all about her connection with the planet and that that was how Morgan could speak the Felucian language, though they hadn't gone into the jungle yet.
It... was a nice invitation, but Faun had her own reasons for not wanting to accept it. Oh, well, thank you, but I don't really want to go into the jungle without Knita, and I don't know where she is today, so... maybe some other time? Faun hoped that didn't seem rude, and she especially didn't want to turn down the chance to play with a new friend, but Faun just didn't want to go anywhere outside the base without Knita; Morgan's talents were impressive, but Faun was more comfortable with her native friend. Though she didn't want to disappoint Serena either... Sorry... um... is there anything else we can play?

Serena was a little disappointed, but she supposed if Faun wasn't comfortable without Knita, then they'd just have to find something else to do. Besides, she could go swimming outside with Morgan some other time. In the meantime, she had to think of some game that she could play with Faun.
She shrugged."Um...we could play tag in the gardens..."Maybe Morgan and/or Jake would be there too. Tag was always more fun when there were more people playing.

Tag in the gardens? Well, that could be fun, maybe. She hadn't really played tag with a lot of people before, so she was sure they could make the most of it with two people, unless they found other kids around who would want to play with them, maybe that Morgan girl possibly. Even if not, it was better than nothing, so Faun smiled and nodded. Sure, let's go! It was just like meeting Knita all over again, excitedly leading her new friend to new places. Well, Serena probably knew where the gardens were by now, but still it was nice to be able to lead on like this.

*Aerandir led Michelle, Shells, and Raine up the large spiral staircase that led to the balcony, where Aerandir would introduce Raine to her potential new teacher, at least for the time being. Sure enough, as he ascended the last few steps, there was the man he was looking for, precariously perched upon the waist-high railing but seeming perfectly comfortable there. Aerandir smiled as he approached.* I can't tell if you're setting a good or a bad example for the students, Tom. *He stood beside the older man and folded his arms, looking sideways at him, waiting for his response.*

*While many found the gardens or the meditation chambers preferable for relaxing and connecting with the Force, Tom Klanzo found himself drawn more to the balcony. Meditation chambers were too enclosed, impersonal, and the gardens, while indeed peaceful and natural, were a mere facade. True, location truly did not matter, as the Force was ever present no matter the location. The balcony was just a personal preference; from up here, he could see not only the base and the gardens below, but the world beyond as well, truly giving him a sense of grand scale, nowhere near on par with the scale of the Force itself, true, but far more exemplified then in a tiny room or enclosed garden.
He sat cross-legged upon the balcony's rail, perfectly balanced, at ease up here, with no fear of falling. He took in the Force, let it fill him as he meditated. He was not unaware of the presences approaching him, familiar and unfamiliar, and he opened his eyes as they ascended the last few steps, waiting with an expectant smile for Aerandir to speak.
And speak he did, making a joking comment about whether or not Tom was setting a good or bad example for the students. Tom's mustache curled upward as he smiled, chuckling softly to himself.* I set no example except that I am most comfortable up here on the balcony. Your students can decide whether I'm foolish or not, it's none of my concern. *His dark, graying head had still been turned from the other presences, Michelle and Shells he recognized, the girl he did not. Tom turned, unfolding his legs and placing them down upon the granite floor, standing and smiling at the girls.* Do you think I'm foolish? *Michelle and Shells should have been able to recognize he was joking with them, but the third girl was the one he expected an answer from, if she would at all. It was the perfect opportunity for one, or at least Tom thought so; he already had an inkling as to why they had brought her here before him.*

*Raine carefully watched the man who was sitting on the balcony. She wasn't exactly sure what to make of the man. When he asked her if she thought he was foolish, she quickly shook her head and almost stumbled on her words. The question made her feel slightly nervous, taking half a step back, she resisted the urge to hide behind someone.* "N..no..I..don't think you're foolish."

*Of course, Tom's answer was both dismissive and wise. Well, attempting to be; Aerandir considered Tom a wise man, but this wasn't exactly one of his finer answers, though he supposed the man had a point. Tom then asked the girls if they thought he was foolish, though it seemed he was addressing more Raine specifically. Michelle caught this, only grinning and watching her, though Shells hadn't caught it and shook her head. Raine still got her chance to speak aloud, saying that she didn't think he was foolish, and Aerandir took this opportunity to cut in.* Well, that's good, or I wouldn't be asking this man for a favor. Tom, this is Raine, and she was looking to get started in her training to become a Jedi. Her knowledge is very basic, but she seems very willing and eager to put the effort in to learn all that she can. *He had no doubt in his mind that Tom would say yes, but that was up to him. And now to wait and see what kind of response the man had...*

*Well, Shells seemed to have missed the memo that Tom was joking with her and Michelle and mainly targeting his question toward the third girl, but at least she'd managed to let her answer verbally. She seemed nervous, perhaps even intimidated; definitely a fledgling. But she said she didn't think he was foolish, and Aerandir added onto that, saying that was a good thing or else he wouldn't have asked Tom for a favor.
He chuckled before Aerandir could finish, and sure enough, he had hoped Tom would help train the girl, named Raine, in the ways of the Force, explaining that her knowledge was basic but her determination was strong. He examined her for a moment, looking more with the Force than he did with his eyes, then he crouched down slightly so that he was on eye level with her.* With training and learning in the Force, one may come to possess many fantastic and unimaginable abilities. Tell me, young one, what would you aim to achieve with these abilities under your belt?

*Raine was a little more confident when Tom asked her what she would do with her training.* "I want to learn how to control my abilities. Sometimes, I hurt people by accident because...it just happens whether I'm ready to use them or not. I don't want to hurt people by accident anymore."

*Raine answered Tom's question with a little more confidence, explaining that she wanted to control her abilities and no longer "hurt people by accident." A noble goal, something he nodded at, but the way she'd phrased this had elicited a bit of humor in the man, as he turned his head to the side slightly and raised an eyebrow, pretending to appraise her with a half-smile.* So you mean to say you would rather hurt people on purpose?

*Toms next question made Raine blush some in embarrassment. She realized that she should have explained her answer better.* "N...no. I don't want to hurt anyone on purpose, unless I absolutely have to. "

*Tom tilted his head back a little and let out a loud, amused laugh at Raine's response. He had not meant to embarrass the girl... or perhaps he had, but the opportunity was too humorous to pass up for him. He lowered his head toward her again and smiled, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.* I did not think you meant to, but I am pleased to hear the confirmation. *Then he stood, resting his hands on his hips as he took a step backwards, so as to appear less as though he were towering over her, and looked down at her.* If you would like to begin your training, we may do so immediately. Unless you would rather rest first?

*Raine was glad to hear that Tom didn't think negatively of her first response. She let out a small sigh of relief and relaxed a little. When asked if she wanted to start her training now or rest first, she couldn't help but feel somewhat excited. She had slept most of the way here, so she had energy to spare.* "I'm ready to start." *The enthusiasm was as present as the butterflies in her stomach. Training is what she came her for and she wanted to start as soon as she could. No better time then the present, they say.*

*The eagerness, it was palpable... as well as the nervousness. But if there was one thing very clear about this girl, it was that she was determined to learn despite the nerves. In fact, it almost seemed to be her main drive. Tom smiled, gesturing with one hand towards the balcony steps.* In that case, let us begin without haste. *He turned toward Aerandir and gave him a nod of the head.* Thank you, Aerandir, for bringing this eager student to my attention. I will be sure she receives the proper guidance. *And with that, he headed towards the stairway, leading Raine to the training area...*

*The three of them watched the exchange with interest and a bit of amusement, brought on mostly by Tom of course, as the man seemed to be doing what he normally did when meeting someone new: Testing them. At last, when Tom seemed to approve, he asked when she was ready to begin, and she selected the present, so, with a farewell and a thanks to Aerandir, Tom began to leave with the girl for the training area.
Shells, however, wouldn't let that happen without a final remark to Tom's thanks to Aerandir...* Hey! Just him? Me and Michelle found her first! *Aerandir and Michelle laughed but chose not to make a comment. Once the two of them had left the balcony, they would then follow, disperse, and return to other activities for the rest of the day...*

*Raine was glad to hear that they would start immediately. The nervousness that fluttered in her stomach quickly subsided, and was replaced by a new wave of eagerness. As she followed after Tom, she turned and gave a small wave back at Michelle and Shells.*

continued from hereWith Nartaga and Kal'shor in tow, Plur lead the way out of the hangar bay, continuing their discussion as they headed for the balcony, which sat atop the Jedi Base. He nodded as the Tusken leader explained his reasons for coming, before he felt a slight shiver at the mention of Jud'dayus. It certainly was a name he had heard before, mostly in battle reports stored within the archives, whilst also hearing other Jedi mention him in passing. He was a fairly well known sith lordAh, Jud'dayus, that's a name I've not heard for some time now... I imagine our dealings together will be a little more smoother than perhaps what they were with him...Plur lead them up the final stair case and out onto the balcony itself, allowing them a perfect view over the BaseSo, how might I aide your quest?
