Johun carefully listened to the Rear Admiral's story. He wasn't sure what was more concerning, an Imperial Contingent in the Deep Core, or one that was rogue. Either way, it was looking more and more as if their next destination would be Khomm.
Do you recall the size and make up of the ships in the Imperial Contingent?

Malora hated landing. She never could stick one quite as smoothly as Fel, but then again, no one really could. As the ship touched down, she cycled through the systems and performed all the right checks with glassy eyes, her mind elsewhere. Specifically, running through past memories of the last year, looking for missed clues or details she'd overlooked on her hunt for their missing captain. She knew it was useless, she hadn't missed anything, but it was almost habit now, something she did when quiet fell or sleep approached. It made her feel like she was doing something about Fel's disappearance. Part of her felt a little guilty for taking this job at all. She should be out there, combing streets and kicking down doors until she found something, anything, any minuscule nugget of information to give her some kind of heading, some kind of..hope. Not that she'd given up. She'd never give up. But a little reassurance that she was on the right path would've been nice. Mal rubbed at the worn keys at her fingertips, staring. If anyone could find something they could use to track down Fel, it would be Jace Stealer and Liya Tawaza , and the extra cash from this job would help the hunt. Besides, there was nothing else she could try right now. She'd combed almost all streets, kicked down almost all the doors she could. Well…there were a few more she could try, but she'd had enough of the Hutts ( @kolga ) for the time being, and she wasn't equipped to deal with pirates ( Bloodrage Pirates ) or a big-time crime lord ( The Shadow King ) right now. She drummed her fingers on the console. "Alright, well. Connors, pack light, we have no idea what this guy is like and I'd rather not freak him out. You're scary enough when you're not bristling with weapons." The smuggler tossed her companion a tiny smirk and reached down, stuffing her feet back in her boots and buckling up. "I'll contact Barrish while we gear up. Wrench, you comin' or you wanna man the ship while we negotiate?"

Wrench replied without hesitation that it would be unwise, bordering on foolhardy to split up, especially considering his mission, and the relative ease with which Wade_Connors_01 could assist him, if he required protection beyond his own meager abilities. He would accompany them to Coronet City, though the little droid mused that it might be better if he went in disguise, and wheeled off to procure something that would say 'incognito' to passerby. He returned a few minutes later with a tool-belt worn bandolier-style, festooned with all manner of useful bits: tools, electronic components, trinkets and trade-worthy items.
"Incognito."

The Duros rubs his chin slightly, vividly remembering the formation that had attacked them. Only once had it been reinforced when the fleet was cornered at Foerost and the Imperials thought they could defeat the cornered ships with ease. He counted, from the retreating forces, a pair of Star Destroyers and several frigates. Truly, the Fleet Admiral had no clue where they gotten such firepower from the rather barren planets that existed within the Core. It was a hell-hole trying to navigate through that region alone. All I can remember is a pair of Pellaeon-class Star Destroyers and several Ardent-class fast frigates.

Johun nodded toward the Admiral.
Thank you, sir. We hope to find out what is going on in the deep core.
Johun turned to Kay'li.
Looks like our next destination is the Deep Core.

"Yes, thank you, Admiral."
Kay'li smiled at the Duros, and bowed fractionally, then turned to discuss their next move with Johun. "I agree. Should we head to Foerost, and try to follow the Imperials from their last known position, or should we backtrace them to Khomm and try to find their original source?"
The Jedi Knight could see potential in both options, although chasing a fleet might not be very smart. Finding the Imperial base would be more useful and less suicidal. Then again, the trail could be a lot fresher and easier to follow if they went to the Imperials' last known position.

Johun thought for a moment. Starting at Foerost could lead on a never ending chase that led nowhere. Starting at Khomm, could potentially drop them directly into Imperial space and possibly end this investigation before it was started.
I say we go to Khomm. It is closer to the possible origin, but may also be the source. It is probably our best option.

"I agree. We need to find the source."
Kay'li replied, as the Jedi left the Admirals to their duties and exited the conference room. "We don't need to find the fleet. If we find their base, then the fleet will eventually come home." Besides, they were collecting information, not staging an attack. Finding the fleet would probably be a bad idea.
Idly, as they walked, she checked her comlink for any missed calls, but there was nothing of importance. She wondered whether they would find the Imperials before her brother finished his long-running manhunt. That would be good for a few sibling rivalry jokes.

Walking beside Kay'li, Johun nodded in agreement.
Exactly. This is reconnaissance, not espionage. Unless the situation demands it.
Johun continued out of the building into Coronet City, and their transport.

"I don't bristle." He plucked his DC15s off the peg near the ramp and slung the gun belt around his hips, cinching it tight then tying it down on his thigh. "I lurk." He returned her smirk as he pulled the blaster free of it's home, checked the power pack for charge, then slipped it back into place. "Besides, I mostly carry this thing for show. Makes them focus on the less dangerous threat because it's the one they're used to." With the weapon check over, Wade pulled his jacket on and was about to head down the ramp when Wrench pulled up clad in a bandoleer. The chuckle that escaped him was very nearly a snort, and he directed his next question back at Malora. "What happened to not spooking the locals?"

Johun continued out of the building into Coronet City, and their transport. Boarding the shuttle once more, Kay'li cast in her mind, trying to remember her last visit to the Deep Core. closing her eyes, she searched for any information she might still remember about Imperial operations there. But it had been a very long time, and none of her visits had been important missions or against the Imperials. Her memories were fleeting, and she'd never been to Khomm at all. She knew that Khomm society had been artificially frozen at its perceived peak by using cloning, but beyond that, her knowledge was sketchy, especially on the political side. But maybe that was just as well for the Jedi. Unbiased by the planet's past history, they would examine the situation with open eyes and open minds, listening to what the Force could tell them, and not blinded by what they expected to see. She barely noticed as the transport took off from Coronet.

As soon as Kay'li boarded, Johun closed the ramp and took a seat. The Libero's repulsed so hummed to life at Lt. Trado guided the shuttle off of the landing pad and toward orbit. Johun activated the comm to the cockpit.
Lt. Trado, please plot a course to Khomm.
Yes sir.
Johun closed his eyes, letting Ashla flow through him. Calming him as he looked for affirmation of his decision to travel to Khomm as the Libero continued skyward.

"This had gone better in my head." The self assured young woman thought as three large guards stood around her blasters drawn. Blood trickled down from her busted lip and her nose. The black eye made depth perception a little hard. The hulking mass of fat, muscle, and slime that was the Kingdoola the hut stood before her. Even if both her eyes had been beat she would have been unable to miss her. All and all Chloe couldn't fault the situation. She had been caught. She had embezzled nearly 50,000 credits out of this hut's enterprise. It all was good until that stupid mojo domo was ready to run off with Chloe. He pulled it directly out of the coffers, not subtlety, no con, just strength theft. She could still smell the burnt flesh of his now lifeless body behind the hut. Well stupid people get killed, and worse they get smart people caught. Inadvertently the idiot had told Kingdoola that Chloe was here to steal. He hadn't known the extent of Chloe's plan, but he put the hut on her trail. Huts were smart, few seem to look past the fat and smell to realize how calculating and meticulous they could be. Even a low level crime boss could notice the small irregularities when they knew to look for them. She spit blood on the ground.
So what now? You beat me up and we call it a day? I like the sound of that.
She had to have Corellian somewhere in her family history, not that her parents would ever admit to such a thing. Her cockyness in the face of death and danger told the young women that it had to be there. The hut nodded her massive head and an armored boot caught the woman in the ribs. A crack told her one definitely broke that time. the tattered tunic that barely covered her torso did nothing to cushion the blow. She tried not to, but the a scream of pain made it out.
In huttees No you little worm. You tell me where you have my credits, then I kill you for the trouble.
Despite her outward appearance, Chloe had no plan, no idea of how to get out of this. She filled the air with cries for help in the force. Hopefuly someone will be drawn to this back alley of treasure ship row who could save her, but she want that hopeful. She reached out in every thought she could think of, more than just her typical flirtatious and lust.

It had been over a year since the Organization had fallen and Ty still caught himself looking over his shoulder from time to time just waiting for the other boot to drop and whoever was behind the attack to finally catch up to him. He wasn't one to run from a fight, but when you don't know who your enemy is it's hard to fight back, so instead he had been laying low here on Corellia since escaping the Nexus. What little intel he had gathered about the attack still lead him nowhere, and so he would wait until the threat eventually revealed itself.
And so for the past year he had held a regular job working the spaceport docks, visiting the same bar, and living in a small studio apartment, all the while making sure to stay off anyone's radar and keep his nose clean. By all accounts he blended in like any normal person, though perhaps a bit more reclusive than your average Joe. Today was no different, he put in his shift at the docks and was throwing back a couple of ales before he headed home.
He held up his hand to decline a refill as the bartender approached, he then finished his last sip and tossed a few credits on the counter then stood up and walked out the door. As he stepped out into the street his eyes swept the area before he began his walk home.
He wore a navy blue long sleeve t-shirt with the sleeves pushed up just below the elbow, his pants were a light blue, almost gray color, and he carried his black canvas jacket in his right hand. He was dirty from head to toe compliments of the job and he, for all intents and purposes, seemed genuinely tired after a long day's work. So when he suddenly got the inexplicable urge to change his route home he reluctantly opted to follow his gut and head home the long way. And in the pit of his stomach he just had a bad feeling about what he was walking toward.
It wasn't long before he stepped around a corner and came face to face with three thugs and a Hutt harassing a beaten woman. He stood wide eyed for a moment not sure if he should intervene and get on the bad side of a Hutt in a big way or if he should keep walking and maintain his low profile. He had a strong urge to help, like a sense of duty that compelled him to do the right thing consequences be damned. And his mind was made up just as he was spotted and one of the thugs began to approach him.He dropped his jacket and held his hands up about shoulder height as if to surrender. "Hey fellas, I'm not looking for trouble, I'm just on my way home."
Almost as soon as he had finished talking the guard had closed the gap and began to reach for him when Ty grabbed the guards hand broke his wrist, disarmed him by taking his blaster, and squeezed off a shot into his gut in a blink and you would have missed it move. He then fired two more shots aimed squarely at the other two guards guts.

In addition to their intelligence, the other thing people forgot about huts was they were deceptively quick. Yes, they weren't winning any foot races but grabbing and reacting they were quick. The Hutt had the young woman held against her bulk. She squeezed pressuring the broken ribs, and Chloe let out a yelp as slime and spittle dripped on her and her broken ribs shifted This doesn't concern you child. She stole from me, I am just going about getting what is mine back.
The Hutts massive arm covered more than just the broken ribs, it was keeping her from getting enough air. She wanted to say something but she couldn't. She had to act, and her acts were desperate. She pushed feelings and emotions to the man. He would have thoughts that every wish or dream he had would be answered if he helped her. She put more into this push than any other time she could remember.

The three guards fell to ground wallowing in pain from blasts and Ty was free to focus on the Hutt and the woman who was working hard to invade his mind. Though he wasn't sure why she was doing so.
Ty blinked and shallowly shook his head as the woman pushed her way in.It clearly affected him but it didn't dominate him. He never did like the feeling of a forcie intruding in his head, it was like fighting a battle on two fronts and it made his helping her more difficult as a result. He looked at the woman and shook his head.He hoped she would know that he wanted her to stop, he hoped that she would see that he would was there to help without the manipulation.
"Let her go. No one has to die today. Your men here will be fine if you can get them some help soon." His brow furrowed as he fought against her intrusion while he simultaneously raised the blaster and aimed for the Hutt's arm that clutched the injured woman. "Whatever she stole she can't pay back if she's dead. Just let her go. I don't want to have to hurt you." In truth he didn't much care if he hurt the Hutt or not, but he didn't want to hit the girl. It was true that he could shoot the Hutt anywhere but he was aiming for the arm because as strong as a Hutt may be they can't hold a person with an injured arm. And that was the quickest way to free her. Trouble was, the woman's prying was making his aim a little shaky.

Hoooohoooooohoooooo The big slug just laughed. When she tells me the accounts she has my credits kept, she can easily pay what she stole when she is dead. Hutt skin is thick child, put that thing down before you hurt yourself, or you new friend. The Hut gave a sharp squeeze causing the redhead to shriek in pain, losing her focus on pushing the thoughts to the man. Tears and blood fell from her face in drips.

His head was clear of intrusion and he could now focus squarely on saving this woman's life.He aimed at the arm and squeezed off two blasts then raised his blaster and aimed for the Hutt's eye just in case its skin was too thick and tough for the bolts to have any affect and he began closing the gap to grab the woman and make their escape in the chance it did work.
Regardless of the outcome Hutts were known to have the ability to regrow parts of their bodies, even if he had to shoot the slug in the eye or eyes they would surely grow back in time.

The bolts leave a black mark on the arm of the hutt, but nothing more. Hooohooooo. Fine boy. If you want her that bad have her! The Hutt throws Chloe across the alley into the oncoming man. Blood and spittle fly from the young woman as she flails through the air. The hutt turns its back, noing no shot can penatrate its skin. I will find you and get what is mine. I may take extra after tonight to cover for you boy! The large creature slithers off.

Ty stops walking, drops the blaster and catches the girl, only falling back a small bit before regaining his footing. It could have gone better but it could have been worse. Ty didn't know a lot about Hutts other than they smell terrible, so it surprised him that two direct blaster hits did next to nothing to its arm. Given that the shots he fired didn't do anything Ty was shocked that the Hutt didn't do anything more to take advantage of its advantage, but he wouldn't argue with it and count it as a blessing that it didn't. And he didn't dare provoke the thing any further by continuing fire with the inadequate weapon now that the woman was free.He watched to make sure that the Hutt was gone before he saw to the woman, still in reach of his jacket he grabbed it and wrapped it around her shoulders. "I know you're hurt, but we've got to get out of here." He looked around at the three thugs still wallowing in pain and then back to the woman. "Can you walk or do you need me to carry you?"
