It was an older code but it checked out, and so the automated system cleared the returning jedi for a flight plan down to the Corellian Jedi academy. A flight plan was transmitted alongside an automated welcome message and an assignment for a landing zone within the hangar itself.

Master Starfield, Orbital Control has responded and given clearance to the Jedi Academy.
Johun rolled his eyes at the term "Master". He knew it as a sign of respect, but since he had yet to achieve Jedi Master status, it was still awkward to him.
Take us down then Lt.
The Libero began its descent on the flight plan specified. Johun smiled, it felt good to be home.

In high polar orbit of SeloniaReceiving their orders from Admiral Korr, the commanders of the two aged frigates relayed their orders to their respective crews, and then instructed their navigators to set a course for a hyperspace microjump to Corellia. Acting in well-synchronized order, achieved through long practice, the ships blinked out of Selonia's orbit simultaneously. After some perfectly synchronized navigational errors, which demonstrated clearly the differences between precision and accuracy, a pair of dilapidated DP-20 Corellian Gunships dropped out of hyperspace and entered Corellia's orbit, transmitting clearance codes as members of the Corellian Defense Forces' Selonian fleet. The Gunships were in need of more than just a new coat of paint. As models dating to the original model of the frigate, a thorough refit was in order.=Cmdr. Amirra=As soon as the ships had been properly cleared with the local CDF, the Selonian commander motioned to her communications officer, who promptly opened a channel to CEC, and patched in their sister ship. Santhe Shipyards, this is Commander Amirra of the CDF. Per order from Admiral Korr, Commander Bretton and I have brought our DP-20s in for the full Coalition refit. Please provide us clearance and approach vectors to the ground-side shipyards. Thank you.=CEC Control=Ah, roger that, Commander. There was a slight pause as the controller looked up Korr's order in the system. You are cleared to proceed to the surface along your present trajectory to point 290. Your pad assignments will be 37-A and 39-A. Please complete your descent and reduce your speed to below regulation limit prior to entering the working yard. =Cmdr. Amirra=Acknowledged. Amirra out. The Selonian closed the channel, and nodded to her pilot. Meanwhile, a similar interaction played out on the bridge of Bretton's gunship.Once more, both ships moved in unison, descending toward the Santhe Shipyards.

The Galaar exited hyperspace. It began to transmit the landing codes that Luscious had provided for his destination That was an interesting surprise, it wasn't often that ships were pre-cleared for landing. He suspected it was mostly a flag for local customs, whether good or ill remained to be seen. Still, it wouldn't be too much trouble. Corellians were professional, usually, so NCO wasn't concerned. The trip had been relatively uneventful, always a pleasant surprise in NCO's experience. He kept an eye on the scopes looking for trouble, but let A'den handle getting the Kom'rk-class transport to the designated destination. He double checked weapons were on standby, and shields were reinforced and balanced. Everything was as it should be, which was slightly uncomfortable for NCO... he was not accustomed to smooth jobs.

After receiving no issues from the orbital authorities of Corellia, A'den began to descend into the atmosphere and Coronet City...

[Continued from the Jedi Academy Hangar about the starship Daystar]=Raja=His gaze shifted back to his own Master, his mind racing. Did all Jedi Masters drink before a mission? But that wasn't important now. Instead, he asked a question about the mission. "Master Frantz, uhm, what powers do the Sith sorcerers possess? Like, how do they do ... it?" He glanced at Master Dar'Toral and his padawan uncertainly. They were still strangers to him. Maybe they already knew all of this. He would have rather asked Master Frantz alone, rather than revealing his lack of knowledge, but he had no choice. "We, er, I, should learn about our enemy. Even if I'm not going to fight them now, I may have to fight them later." I can't help but give my new apprentice my customary half-smile, knowing he didn't realize quite how complicated a question he's just asked. I instructed the navcomputer to begin calculations for a jump to Dressel before turning my attention back to Raja. How do any of us to what we do Raja? I gesture around the area mysteriously before chuckling slightly. The Force. Knowing he'd been intending something a little more specific my face drops out of it's amused cast as I take a more instructional tone for the boy. It's complicated but in general they use complex formulae and foci to expand the bounds of what the force can do. Unfortunately they way they do it in most cases twist the purpose of nature and corrupt existing concepts. This group specifically pulls monsters of great scale and power through rifts in hopes of furthering their own goals. These creatures bring mass destruction with them and if not stopped quickly can cause chaos. I know it's not a pleasant thought to expose a boy his age to however I wasn't about to sugar coat or dumb it down for him. To do so would have been to do his education and safety a disservice, besides if Raja was going to be a successful Jedi then he would have to learn to face such realities head on.

[Aboard the YT-1930 freighter Daystar, ascending to orbit.]
=Raja= Raja rolled his eyes slightly at the Youngling School nature of his master's initial response. He of course knew all about the Sith in a general sense, but this particular perversion of the Force was new to him, and his eyes widened slightly at the description. His curiosity was pricked by the mention of rifts, due to an old Raganella family legend, but the ritual itself seemed less important to the mission than the resulting monsters. Filing that question away for a more appropriate time, he nodded slowly. He'd seen a thing or two in the unknown regions, and this prospective danger, while horrific, did not trigger as large a reaction in the boy as perhaps his master had expected.
"Pull them from where?" Raja asked as the freighter carried them into orbit.

I shrug slightly as I turn back to my console, sending the nav computer's course for double checking by the R3 astromech unit who's yellow markings stood out against the grey bulkhead at the rear of the cockpit. In truth I'm not sure. The only one I saw seemed to come out of a rift from a void. Perhaps they're being pulled out of an alternate reality, a different point of space, or they might not come from anywhere and are simply being created and the rift is just the sorcerer's gestating chamber. Unfortunately there wasn't much time to study it, and even my knowledge of sith alchemy isn't infinite. I emphasize the part about my knowledge, implying that I have a large store of it on hand, which is technically true. What I did with forging is in some ways based off similar principles and to avoid going down that same path I'd made a study of sith alchemy and likely knew more about it's principles and practices than anyone who wasn't a practicing alchemist.... and in truth I might even have a greater working knowledge than some of those, however that wasn't something that Raja needed to fully understand at the moment. Responding to a few whistles from my droid I lay in the course and launch the freighter into hyperspace with a casual act of telekinesis that belies the serious nature of faster than light travel.

The Red Rocket slipped smoothly from the silent slipstream of hyperspace into the system of worlds orbiting the star Corell. Distant Talus and Tralus were pinpoints of light, while Selonia and Drall were small spheres off to one side. The red painted cruiser was a formidable combat vessel, but wasn't on a mission of war. Indeed, the ship's master, Reyn Australis, was hoping to prevent one. His reasons were not wholly altruistic, with very personal and professional reasons to wish to prevent conflict between Clan Australis and Corellia. He hoped the Corellians would listen to his warning, if they heard him at all.
The ship moved in towards the world of Corellia, keeping to regular trade lanes through the system. She was far from the largest or heaviest armed ship insystem, and kept her weapons powered down and shields down, moving at a sedate pace. Comms request for an orbital berth and contact with planetary authorities were transmitted, as the cruiser's bridge crew efficiently went about their work under the eyes of the senior commander, and Reyn himself.
Corellia Control, this is Mandalorian cruiser Red Rocket, requesting orbital direct communications with Corellian officials.
Reyn wasn't sure if the message would be ignored, or if he'd be able to make contact immediately. By coming here in person, aboard a warship rather than a freighter, he hoped to maximize his chances of getting someone important's attention. He had information the leaders of Corellia needed to hear, and like his father, he didn't like to waste his time. Patience was a virtue that ran very thin in the family of Kaine Australis. Reyn was not his father, and had striven for most of his young life to emerge from his father's vast shadow. His mission here ran true to that ideal.

After some time answer from the space port would come eventually. ::Corellian Space Docks here, your request is permitted. We have informed Senator Findos about the situation, given that she is currently in the port and official part of the current gouvernment. We'll establish communications immidiately.::
The vox changed, revealing eventually the holographic image of a Neimoidian woman, dressed in robes as it was common for the members of her species. She seemed tired to some portion, though it was hard to tell whether this is due to the stress and work she's currently dealing with or simply how some Neimoidians usually tend to look like. ::Cruiser Red Rocket, I'm Senator Findos of the Corellian Coalition, elected Senator of the former Galactic Alliance from Neimoidia. From what I was told by harbour controll you wished to speak with officials of the Corellian gouvernment. If so, that would include me as one of it's electing bodies as well. How can we help you? :: From previous reports of her captain she had certainly heard from the name of this cruiser, knowing at least that an organization under a Mandalorian leader was currently stretching it's influence over several planets within the Outer Rim. Not that it bothered her too much. The Cold War against the First Order was at the brink of escalation and by now it wouldn't be long until they would strike. At least imperial fleet movements near Kuat and within the Neimoidian sector recently lead to this conclusion. Most worlds were currently in disarray, given that the Coalition was more keen on defending at the front border, should the Imperial fleet eventually strike. Therefore most of the Coalition ships were either at Fondor or on Corellia, the main worlds that kept the Coalition together. Compared to the external threat even a border dispute about Thyferra or other regions wasn't necessarily their main problem problem... in that regard the Coalition remembered the mistakes of the predecessor Grand Alliance. Remembered the fatal defeat at Jabiim, that sparked the fuel for the First Order's decesive strike upon Mon Calamari. A blow delivered that would mean an end to democracy within the eastern Outer Rim. Thus Linuy knew that there was hardly any possibility to fall back and recover, should the Coalition fail another time to repell the invaders. If they failed, that was it. Yet the thought of failure didn't even came across her mind. For now her heart was filled with hope and determination that they could survive the incoming storm and become the very beacon that the galaxy would need to shine.

Red Rocket slipped easily and smoothly into her designated orbital slot, moving between bulk haulers and freighters to hold her position in the required orbital sector. On the bridge, Reyn listened to the orbital control transmission, and quietly watched as the ship's crew went about their duties readying the ship to make anchorage. Soon enough, the holographic transmitter activated, with the holoimage of the Neimoidian Senator flickering to life with the official communication. Reyn stepped down from his chair into the holotransmission field so that his own image could be sent.
Ah, Senator, thankyou for your communications. My name is Reyn Australis. I would like to come down to meet with you in person. The information that I bring, I would not trust over a comm transmission. I assure you that I will not take up much of your time, and that my information is worthy of your attention.
He stood to attention, folding his hands behind his back as he eyed the Senator's image for any clues as to the potential response.
Mandalorians, especially those named Australis, did not have the most peaceful or diplomatic of reputations around the galaxy. Reyn hoped this wouldn't impede his diplomatic effort to try and prevent further conflict between Australis and Corellia. Though his father was less sanguine about the prospect of making friends and allies, Reyn knew that with the right inducement, his father could be made to see that the First Order were the true threat, and should be the first priority as a foe.
Though Clan Australis maintained its own holdings closer to the Mandalore Sector, mainly based out of Myrkr, through their Vegemite allies the Clan had assisted in expanding their allied holdings across Hoth and Thyferra in recent months. Kaine himself had been off at war, most recently at Commenor, and currently in the Hutta system, though Reyn knew through contacts with his father's fleet that Corellia was to be his next target. Reyn needed to prevent that outcome at all costs, for the Clan's sake as much as Corellia's.
Should you agree to meet with me, I am willing to travel disarmed and alone to a location of your choosing. I await your response, Senator Findos.
Reyn remained at attention, offering a respectful pose, and he hoped, a respectful and friendly tone. He did not wish to countenance failure here, for he was risking his father's wrath by doing an end run around the Old Boar. Only success would keep him from Kaine's ire.

Not all too much time passed, when the Neimoidian senator answered. ::On these terms I can agree, Reyn Australis::, she responded polite, ::I will do my part on the meeting and would either propose a meeting here at the orbital station or on the surface at my current quarters within the Coronet Capitol Tower, given that both of these places allow us to talk without any interferences from outside, given that I respect your informations. I'll leave the choice onto you which of these locations we can take.::
In either case she had to quickly instruct the security guards at the locations, that noone should intercept the meeting, given that the Coalition was these days very careful. Spies of Imperial Intelligence were always a danger to recon with these days and whatever information the ambassador of Clan Australis held, she would value it. Overall they were a major political faction within the galaxy and thus nothing she would turn down easily or where she would betray the trust they put in them during such a meeting.

Reyn smiled and nodded politely, still facing the hologram on his bridge. For him, the choice was an easy one, he'd never been to Corellia before, so he was curious to have a look at the planet while he was here.I will pilot a shuttle down to the surface alone, Senator. Thankyou for the invitation, I look forward to meeting you in person shortly.Reyn waited to ensure he had been heard, and to hear any further instructions or remarks from the Senator. Once the holotransmission was politely ended he left the bridge, assigning command to his executive officer, heading aft to the hangar bay. In an adjoining chamber, Reyn divested himself of weapons, sticking with his crimson bodysuit and light armour. He kept the bandoliers and holsters, but left the pistols and the swords behind, all to the better to show he was disarming himself. That done, he moved into the hangar proper and took a shuttle out, flying from the cruiser in orbit to the Capitol Tower below, in Coronet City, the famous planetary capital of Corellia.- moving here-

::Very well then. I'll inform the local security and be on my way as well. End of transmission. ::
Within moments, the Neimoidian senator left the room, instructing her bodyguard to follow, while at the same time informing the captain of the Aglais and fellow senators regarding a delay within the meetings on the current day. Eventually she arrived at the star port's hangar for her private Sheathipede-class transport shuttle from where she would contact the Coronet Capital Tower's security in order to ensure that the emissary of Clan Australis wouldn't recieve any troubles on his journey down towards the planet. Not necessarily because she distrusted him, but because she knew that others among the soldier's ranks might have heard about the Thyferra incident and might be too careful. Either way she descended aboard her shuttle with honest curiousity, wondering what message he would bring.

A brand new Corellian Fast Attack Frigate, fresh off the CEC assembly line and with a new, Coronet-based crew aboard, rose through the atmosphere and jumped to lightspeed, making a microjump across the system to Selonia.
Some weeks later, two fully-refitted DP-20 Corellian Gunships likewise departed the Santhe Shipyards, and returned to their fleet over Selonia.

In preparation to aid their Corellian allies, the Santhe Shipyards were greeted by the sight of a Starbird-Class Battleship escorted by Hapan Battle Dragons and a small group of Nova-Class Battle Cruisers. While the Hapan Home Defense Fleet usually protected the borders of their homeland, the delegation of Chume'da Li'nara Trasc, princess of the Hapes Consortium was visiting Corellia these days quite often, given the recent rumors regarding the First Order's activities. While Hapes had remained mostly neutral in the past and only had few of their members aiding the Coalition in the development of new ship types at the beginning of it's formation, they eventually joined up with the Coalition. Mainly due to Li'nara's arguments it was now, that the Queen Mother was convinced that the active defense of Hapes and it's surrounding cluster could only happen, if the Five Brothers and it's surrounding allies could maintain their defensive stance against the ever-expanding Empire.
For many Coalition members just the sight of the six famous Hapan Warships and it's four smaller escorts accompanying a Starbird, the symbolic opposition towards the Imperial Star Destroyers of the Corellian Coalition, was probably inspiring and more of a relief. Hapes' times of isolation were over. Even when internal struggles plagued currently the command structure of the Coalition, they would show that they came to oppose the common enemy together. For they would hold their ground in the name of the Queen Mother and the Princess either with the help of the Coalition or without it!

The doors to Endless Salvation's bridge opened allowing Lynne to rush through. Captain-of-the-Line Motier was already holoprojected in the bridges central display, next to Major Tethras in the flesh. Additionally projected was an image of Fondor's gravity well, along with the current fleets arrayed in it. =Lynne=Bring me up to speed, what are we dealing with? =Motier=A few minutes ago a massive Imperial fleet dropped out of hyperspace at Fondor and transmitted their demands for surrender; unconditional.=Tethras=And we have confirmed that the Ars Moriendi is leading them. Lynne leaned forward and grasped the projector with both hands, supporting herself as she took in the dire news. This was it. The moment she had been dreading since Coruscant had been taken. If the Coalition lost at Fondor it would break moral across the member worlds, and likely be the end of the government. She pushed herself back up. All eyes on the bridge were on her. =Lynne=Are we ready? =Motier=Waiting on your order, Minister.=Lynne=Let's save some lives. Engage hyperdrives! The Captain nodded and then his image disappeared as the fleet slipped from Real-Space into Hyperspace. Lynne took her seat in the captain's chair and watched as the blue swirls passed her by. You know, if we lose here, I'm gonna start thinking I'm bad luck for democracies... =Tethras=Hush, we'll get through this. The major placed an armored hand on Lynne's shoulder. It was the comfort Lynne needed as they neared Fondor and the storm that awaited in that system.

The sound of blaster fire rang everywhere. Through the commotion, a voice shouted.STORMTROOPERS!!!!The yell was barely heard over the din of Imperial transports, which zoomed in from the void of space, entering a bay of the Corellian Shipyards that orbited over the planet below. One of the transports was hit by an anti-vehicle missile, zooming to the ground in a cloud of fire and smoke. And yet, that was one of the tens that managed through, landing platoons of Stormtroopers, bearing the marks of the First Order. Blaster fire was exchanged between the entrenched Coalition soldiers and the oncoming Imperial troopers. But this was just a taste of what was going on, for across the various bays, dockyards, and even upon the outside surface of the Corellian Shipyards, fighting erupted between Imperial and Coalition forces. Not since the days of the fall of the Old Empire had walkers of an Imperial nation, lumbered upon the surface of a dockyard, blasting holes into defensive cannons and shredding pieces of the facility apart.
And yet, this was just a fraction of the true scope. For while the shipyards of Corellia were immense and expansive, there was a greater fight going around. For behind the scenes of Imperial transports landing, one could see TIE fighters screeching across the stars, dogfighting with X-Wings and A-Wings. Plums of fire added to the stars as warships of varying classes were destroyed, both Imperial and Coalition. Yet the truth of the fact was that the Corellian Sector Fleet was taking a hammering...
From Selonia to the very orbit of Corellia, the Imperials struck hard after Fondor. They came across worlds with all manner of military might, smashing defenses, forcing the Coalition to give ground, and subjugating worlds viciously. These were the twilight hours of the Coalition as the banner of the First Order descended upon the heart of democracy, the last bastion of freedom. The Imperials fighting harder with the presence of their Emperor leading them forward. For every one Stormtrooper that fell, there were ten Coalition bodies nearby. And with such numbers, Corellia was certainly doomed. The presence of the Ars Moriendi, the large Executor-class, being the tip of the spear that thrusted into the heart of the Coalition.

The Corellian forces had been gathering to reinforce Fondor as reports of that attack began filtering into the system when alarms began sounding through the gathering fleet and planetary stations as the swift hammer of the imperial war machine arrived at their front door. Fighters began spilling out from the two Cardan III stations and were the first to engage the swarm of fighters and transports. The Corellian tracers, E-wings, X-wings, and A-wings were outnumbered by magnitudes in the initial moments of the fight and far too many of the transports made it to the shipyards themselves. The fighters of the gathered fleet arrived soon after to bolster the defense however the transports had already landed and the stormtroopers had begun their work. The CDF troops stationed on the shipyards responded swiftly and were holding firm for the moment, but the support of the Imperial fleet and the looming specter of the super star destroyer in it's midst was close at hand.
The coalition Fleet under the command of Admiral Thomas Carter and spearheaded by the refitted Resurgent-Class Battlecruiser Redemption reoriented itself in a spearhead formation, moving to clash head on with the Imperial fleet and attempt to slip among the larger fleet and disrupt their coordination. The ships took a hammering as they came forward with the Corellian Dreadnaught Antilles drifting out of formation as it's shields failed and it's main reactors lost cohesion after taking too much fire that had been meant for the Redemption. As the smaller Coalition fleet began to take it's hammering distress calls went out to all coalition systems, though few expected much help from the outside after the fall of Fondor.
