I stumbled around the halls for what seemed like weeks around the halls trying to find my particular chambers. when it got to a point that the pain that was coming back to my body from malfunctioning wires, in conjunction with the drowsiness of weeks without sleep gave the appearance of drunkenness I was relieved when Pixar dressed up as a Republic Medical Officer (or maybe it was a Republic Medical Officer) came to find me and safely escort me to chambers (which were hard to find as part of the deception in case of emergency.
upon getting into the chamber my control over my right arm was nearly nil. I didn’t know what was the cause of this malfunction… however it was by ashla’s grace that the pill bottle I was still holding the aspirin vial in my right hand. as I sat down at my desk with the intention of inspecting my arm I ripped my right sleeve revealing the Cold white metal of my arm. (I had gone for metal instead of a synthetic covering since I didn’t want to “lead people to believe a fake hand was real”)“ Pixar, can you prep a level 1 scan of my arm? try to focus on the areas that are causing the malfunctions.” I attempted to plug the cord in and type in the controls but without my right hand active, is was incredibly hard for me to try in the code. it was then that Pixar stepped in and began to type out the code dictating the probe’s actions. I would come to realize that much of the issues stemmed from the modifications I implemented creating a structural weakness within the arm… something that the strain of recent events was exploiting. But, I wasn’t focused on that… instead I began Waxing philosophical on the disappearance of jedi master Adieumus Matango.“ It just doesn’t make sense… Starnet is a sub wave frequency band network I should have the ability to get general coordinates from any Starnet user simply by pinging the network even if the chip is only installed on a device… Gordon, can you run another network sweep to try and find Adi and the Prototype D-eta?” :: I would like to point out that this is my 4,000th scan from request to attempt to find this ship within the span of just under 200 days. I would like to point out that security protocols state that a ping is only available to trace data accessed from a Starnet compatible device. so the only plausible options are that he isn’t using that has been equipped that was installed upon…:: “ Adi has a proxy transmitter for his main device and the primary chip is in the D-eta… and I am quite positive that I set systems to report if it had not received commands in 42 standard days.” :: then the alternatives are that the Chip has been destroyed or settings have been tampered with because Master Matango does not want to be found:: “ just run the ping again and be thorough… The prototype was not meant to go this long without an inspection tune up. *Grunt*” I felt a pinch as I was brought back to realization that Pixar had completed it’s scan and found that the issue was in the forearm. from there the forearm was removed and replaced with a stub so that the wires that connected the two portions would not be frayed. Shortly after I was handed a pill that appeared like the aspirin in the vial I had taken, but was in fact a quick acting sleeping pill designed with the formula that worked as the Antithesis of Jedirol in that it sped up health by inducing sleep and restricting certain nerve passage ways so that until I was healed or the full effects wore off, I could do little more than get bed rest.

Alexis' childhood had definitely not been a joyride. And she had had some bad experiences within the Jedi Order. But, she would not willingly leave the Order itself, because she believed in the basic tenets of the Jedi Code. She contemplated Palo with troubled eyes, more feeling what was under the surface of his words, though those were troubling enough."It is not precisely a moral code, Palo. The Jedi do not override and wipe out our individual personalities when we are brought into the Order." She bit her lip. He was probably thinking of Qui-Gon Jinn, the most famous of the Greys. But even he was well-respected by the High Council, and he had always remained within the Order."I think it would hinge upon the nature of that technicality, but---" she drew herself up with a deep breath, "I think you have more pressing issues to deal with at this point," she calmly remarked as she adjusted the box under her arm.
Heading over towards the control center, she nodded to the staff on duty and turned in a copy of her recent nav-data asking them to forward it up to Masters Rawkill and Tuhlute."Come with me, Palo," she invited, as they left the hangar.
A couple corridors away she pointed down a medium-sized hallway, "Pilot's quarters, ready rooms, and even mess hall. The Praxeum has always had a focus on practicality." They took a lift up to the first level, "Here are the student quarters and the guest facilities. Right now, you'll probably have a whole suite to yourself." She paused outside a room that she knew was empty and keyed the door open. Then, she stepped aside, "The Knights and Masters are up on the second level." "Soooo," she shifted the box that he'd given her to her other arm, "assuming you want to settle down a bit, I'll be back in half an hour and show you around," she offered.
“Thank you,”Palo replied as he walked past Alexis and entered the room. It looked more than comfortable. Though Alexis didn't mention anything about herself, Palo decided not to press the issue. He put down his knapsack and took of his blaster from his waist holster and the hold-out blaster he concealed on his leg, and put them on what looked like a nightstand. Normally he wouldn't disarm himself in another's presence, but he was at ease here with Alexis. He was being trusted and welcomed without a hint of hostility, despite the questionable circumstances of his arrival. Her comment about the Jedi not “wiping out individuality” was very reassuring, and probably more effective than she thought. He might be wrong about what he read about the Order through holocrons and datapads. Besides, none of those sources were actually written by members of the Order, and Palo knew quite a few news outlets and individuals with a bias towards Jedi.“I guess I'll see you in a half-hour,”Palo said, somewhat disappointed by not getting to know her further.“Thank you again, Alexis.”He smiled. She didn't know how much she helped him by simply being hospitable and friendly.

"No problem, Palo," she replied, noting the blaster he'd divested himself of before turning and heading back down to her room in the pilots' quarters.
True to her word, thirty minutes later, she hit the doorchime outside Palo's room and waited for an answer. She'd changed into fairly nondescript Jedi attire. Her brown boots were polished, but most definitely worn in, just as good boots should be. Sandy-colored breeches and tunic were also regulation, though a close eye would catch the very neat darns in the sleeves where various rips and burns had been deftly patched up. Over it all though, she wore a very non-regulation tailored vest that came to mid-hip in length and was fashioned out of leather with bantha fur lining the edges. Over it she wore her belt, with lightsaber on her right, and the traditional food and energy pouches on the left and back. The other lightsaber that she'd been given, not the one that Palo had brought with him, was tucked into her left boot on the inside of her leg. Her dark hair was loosely twisted back. And she had her arms folded nonchalantly in front of herself.

In the thirty minutes since Palo was left to “settle in” he first took a quick, though blissful and much-needed shower. Between the time in prison and aboard a stolen freighter, he figured he smelled somewhere between a burned-out repulsorlift and a wookiee. After the shower, Palo trimmed his beard to look less like a scruffy-looking-nerf-herder. He needed to change as he was only wearing a towel, but since he only had his forest camouflage in his knapsack, he opened up the closet in his suite in hope there might be an extra set of clothes. Luckily, there was a single, plain outfit. By the time he changed, put on his boots, blast vest, put his other clothes away and put on his holsters and their respective blasters from the nightstand, he heard the doorchime. He decided to put on a splash of cologne, since the shower scrub left him smelling like expired bacta. Searching the cabinet above the refresher, he came across three bottles: Jesmin, Doreenian ambergris, and Essence of Zeltros. “Jesmin is a type of kelp and Doreenian ambergris is made from vomit...” he thought to himself. Aside from knowing the rumors that Zeltron women are attractive and Zeltros was more of a party planet than anything else, he knew little about the species or their homeworld. Palo had no idea what the Essence of Zeltros was, but he figured it must smell better than expired bacta, and sprayed a spritz on each side of his neck and rubbed the blue liquid into his skin, put he bottle back, then answered the door with a push of a button. The door slid open vertically and he saw Alexis. Palo smiled as he met her eyes, then looked her over once before meeting her eyes again. “You have a lovely habit of looking better every time I see you,”he said, his tone more friendly and playful than overly flirtatious. He threw a quick glance at her lightsaber.“So...what's your color?”he said, not changing his tone. He hoped to know more about her, but decided to avoid any intrusive topics, lest she decide to show him the color of her lightsaber in a threatening manner.

"Blue," Alexis replied a bit breathlessly since her first whiff of whatever aroma it was he'd used before opening the door. She suddenly found herself look at him with a curious interest that surprised her. In fact, when she blinked, she found herself standing close enough to kiss him without knowing precisely how she'd gotten there. Firstly, she blushed. Secondly, she took a hasty step back. Thirdly, she frowned and analyzed the situation. She didn't often do things based solely upon impulse, reason being, they tended to leave regrets and awkwardness behind. But there was something about Palo...
"What is this---this---" she broke off, gesturing helplessly in his direction before spotting a faint blueish tinge on the side of his neck. It was barely there. Someone who wasn't on edge might not even have noticed it. In fact, Alexis probably wouldn't have noticed it herself if she hadn't been looking at his neck in order to avoid his eyes or the rest of his face. What could make normally level-headed people suddenly feel drawn in a passionate direction?
She stepped forward and reached up, swiping her first two fingers along his neck and then sniffing them. A faint smile twitched at her lips, and then she licked her fingers experimentally and grimaced.
"Zeltros... really?!" she exclaimed in exasperation. He'd brought her a gift which turned out to be a Dark Jedi's lightsaber, and wasn't technically even for her. And then, he was flattering her with compliments that she highly doubted. Although, she had to admit, most things were more appealing than a flight suit, so perhaps he was bluntly voicing the truth.
Fists dug into her hips as her elbows pointed out to the side, and furious brown eyes met Palo's. "Can't get a woman to look twice at you without help?" she riposted, again fighting the urge to smile at her own embarrassent as that would have ruined the effect she was trying to make.

A message appeared on Ms. Karidian comm link. whether this was done to lessen the ‘ruining of the mood’ or an attempt to not end up sleeping in mid-air above a nearby pond, only to by dropped in as a “Wake up call”… none the less the vehicle of delivery was text only com message
::Dear Professor Karidian,
At your convience, some time during the nearing end of week, I would request a meeting to discuss the boring topics necessary to make sure that Yavin is ready to host and properly take care of both your students learning to fly, as well as your Starfighter Squadron.
In addition, i am planning a trip to get a status update from our Guest Artisan Goran Beviin. If you have any projects in mind that would require any amount of Mandalorian Iron, please contact me with the general plan so that i can get the Payment in order for Mister Beviin.
sincerely

Fists dug into her hips as her elbows pointed out to the side, and furious brown eyes met Palo's. "Can't get a woman to look twice at you without help?" she riposted, again fighting the urge to smile at her own embarrassent as that would have ruined the effect she was trying to make. “Blue...okay, so she's a Jedi Guardian,” Palo thought, “Or maybe she just likes bl...” Palo's thoughts dissolved as Alexis drew closer to Palo, her dark eyes filling with a curious interest, a seemingly hypnotic sense of attraction. He leaned slightly forward, expecting a kiss, but then Alexis blushed, stepped back, then frowned. Palo was baffled and slightly disheartened when Alexis demanded to know what was going on.Palo was rather stunned and tried to think of something to say. Alexis reached for his throat. First he thought she was going to choke him, but then she ran two of her fingers across his neck only to wipe some of the cologne off. She sniffed her fingers, and then proceeded to lick them. “Okay...that was a little weird,” he thought. His emotions searched for stable mental foothold between allurement and confusion. He wondered if she was trying to use a Jedi mind trick on him. If she was trying to manipulate his thoughts and leave him in complete disorder, it was working. Suddenly, she identified the cologne with astonishment, and any warm, affectionate tones in Alexis' eyes were overshadowed with anger. She then snidely questioned his ability to attract women without aid, though Palo didn't doubt the ire behind the insult.Palo took a step back.“What the kriff was in that cologne?”he questioned aloud.“Look, I just got out of prison, and...”He paused after realizing this was not the best wording for his defense.“I mean...”He sighed for a moment, closed his eyes and took a breath and opened them, looking directly into Alexis' eyes. While her eyes only revealed a hint of embarrassment, Palo was certain his eyes emitted embarrassment like the signature from a dreadnaught's hyperspace wake. “The shower left me smelling like expired bacta, so I looked for some cologne. I found Jesmin, which is made from kelp on Mon Calamari...I'm unsure of your preferences, but personally, I have no desire to smell like fish. There was also a bottle of Doreenian ambergris, which, as you might know, is very valuable. You might not know however, that Doreenian ambergris is made from cetacean vomit. Needless to say, covering my face in vomit didn't seem particularly enticing after taking a shower. The only other bottle I found was labeled the “Essence of Zeltros.” Personally I have never been to Zeltros, but gathering from your initial...reaction...I'm guessing it has some element of inducing a state of mutual attraction. Believe me, if I would have known that, I would have joyously embraced the odor of stale bacta...and I DO NOT need help attracting women!” Palo said, as finished his defensive rant. Though he was assertive, he didn't raise his voice.Palo did his best to dissuade Alexis from believing he applied the perfume with the intent of seducing her. However, without realizing it, he said “inducing a state of mutual attraction,” instead of simply “inducing a state of attraction.” Although he provided a reasonable explanation regarding his choice of cologne, Palo unknowingly admitted his attraction toward Alexis.

Just got out of prison. Alexis smiled. Indeed. And speaking of--- she'd have to introduce him to Masters Rawkill and Tuhlute, matter of Praxeum security. "Hey, it's ok," she replied, placing a hand on his arm and squeezing gently for a second before stepping aside and motioning down the corridor.
"Zeltrons have a reputation based on their biological chemistry. Anyway, you know about Twi'Leks, right? Specifically Twi'Lek dancers?" He had to, that one was common knowledge. "Well, Zeltrons exude a pheromone that basically makes people happy around them, it also makes one much more susceptible to things of a physical nature. Zeltrons are supposedly much more pleasurable in a--" she hesitated, trying to think of how to say it, and finally blushed, "well, they are experienced bed partners and get some sort of high from pleasuring others. They are empathic. So, they try to surround themselves with good feelings." She shrugged, shooting him a sidelong glance, "how do you not know this?"
She stifled a laugh with what sounded like a smothered cough, though the light in her eyes danced as he insisted he did not require aid to find a companion. "I see, well then... you should be happy with the result," meaning that she hadn't kissed him, "since you'd probably enjoy it better if I wasn't 'under the influence' of your fancy cologne." With that she nearly flounced along beside him further into the Praxeum.
What had he meant by 'mutual attraction'? If he was being genuine, and she thought there was the off chance that he might be--- well, for some reason she was pleased. Though she wasn't going to tell him that. Not yet anyway.
But she couldn't just leave it at that, so a few minutes later, she leaned closer to him and spoke quietly, "If you were wanting to know what I prefer... the subtly clean idea is usually best."
She winced, sensing rather than hearing the beep of her comlink. Unclipping it, she quickly read the message from Diamonte, and then since they were headed that way anyway, she clipped it back to her belt after sending an acknowledging 'ping' in reply.
After a moment of musing, she recalled something, and mentioned it to Palo in a manner that implied knowing, while at the same time attempting to convey nonchalance and helpful information, "I've seen nothing to imply that Zeltron pheromones work both ways though, so 'mutual' probably doesn't come into it for them. Humans tends to be peculiarly susceptible to it."

Palo smiled with relief when Alexis reassured she believed him and squeezed his arm, gesturing him out of the room toward the corridor. She explained the Zeltron pheromone and their empathic nature lead to the habit of pleasing sexual partners, as a way of pleasing themselves. He tried not to laugh when she said “experienced bed partners” and blushed. He liked her sense of innocence—although she knew about Zeltrons, she still addressed their behavior in an overly-polite biological sense. Palo's own ignorance about Zeltrons didn't extend to all species, as he knew her reference to Twi'Lek dancers. Having traveled over the galaxy as a smuggler, padawan, and scout, Palo had encountered a wide variety of species and visited a vast amount of worlds. However, the drastic and often sudden transitions of occupation have left “gaps” in his knowledge of some more-common understandings.
Alexis' response to his assertion that he didn't need help attracting women, was far from what Palo expected. Suggesting he would enjoy her kiss more without having using the pheromones in the cologne, took him by surprise. Though not unwelcome, he didn't think Alexis would embrace the role of flirtatious tart, with her comment and the way she moved alongside him in the hall. Palo wasn't sure if she was being sarcastic and merely teasing him, or if the comment had an undercurrent of sincerity, but it he found it adorable either way.
But more surprising was what Alexis farther down the hall. She leaned in close to Palo and in a near-whisper said,
He was caught off-guard and had no idea how to reply as his mind frantically searched for the words. “Say something, you fool!” he told himself, “She likes you. Now's your chance!” But no words came though. This was not just some girl he wanted to bed and leave nonchalantly like the arrogant smugglers he worked with did on a regular basis. It was strange, considering they just met, but Palo wanted to be with her. He wanted to earn her respect and be more than “bed partners,” to borrow her word. He hadn't felt this way about someone in years...though such strong and sudden feelings, more normally unsettle anyone, Palo felt comfortable in her presence, though suddenly not in his own skin. “What is wrong with me?” he thought to himself, “if this girl was a bounty hunter she could have killed me a thousand times over, considering my trust and careless emotions.” Palo had just thought of something to say, and was about to reach for her hand to hold when her comlink beeped. He put his hand back at his side and waited for her to respond and put it back on her belt.
Before he could remember what he was going to say, Alexis chimed,
Palo nodded in acknowledgment, nearly missing her emphasis on the word “mutual.” Suddenly he realized what he had said earlier...
“Mutual attraction,” he thought to himself. “I already told her I was attracted to her.” Palo scolded himself for his previous thoughts of infatuation. “She knows I like her. She's just teasing me...or is she?” He decided to just relax and not take any action at the moment. “Over analyzing words is for pundits, politicians, psychologists, and sociolinguists...besides, I'm probably going to stand trial for stealing a ship and escaping from prison. I don't think starting a relationship is the smartest move on the dejarik board right now.”
“So...” Palo began, not entirely resisting all thoughts of affection, “Are you a Jedi Guardian, use a permafrost crystal, or just like blue?” He smiled, though with more warmth than usual, and leaned slightly toward her.“I used a yellow lightsaber before it as destroyed...but I didn't know if I was about to be a Sentinel. It was the only the color I found.”

Alexis noted his amusement, specifically the fact that he seemed to think her ability to blush was funny. She personally found it annoying. Given her usual paleness it was a rather blatant tell and she felt betrayed by it on occasion. She rolled her eyes at him and sighed expressively, "Oh you know what they say about pilots---any port in a storm, and friends in most of them," she waved a hand dismissively. It wasn't true of her in any case, well, under any sort of normal circumstances. But, she was hardly as innocent as Palo seemed to be thinking, and she couldn't help but wonder if he'd just be disappointed in her if he decided to take the time to try to know her better.
You can't put the blue milk back in the glass once it's been knocked off the table, she reflected ruefully with a shrug, telling herself that time was the only way to find out.
She straightened up at the change of topic, shooting a sidelong glance at Palo and wondering if he was doing it on purpose. He probably was. Anyway, she began an answer. "My mentor was the Battlemaster of Yavin IV, so the color was more a result of that plus the fact that I like it. When it comes to skill with a lightsaber, I'll never match him," the golden light in her eyes died as she spoke of Dav. Their bond had been snapped suddenly, and she had known for a long time that she would never be the same person again. "My gifts in the Force lie in other directions, Palo," she looked over at him while keying in the number of an upper floor in the Praxeum in the lift. "I'm far more comfortable in my NineDee than I am with this," she patted the lightsaber at her belt, "however, I have enough of a proficiency to keep myself alive." And others. She winced, recalling the fight that had broken out in a Mandalorian field hospital on Dressel where she'd gone to rescue Josh, and met Syla.

Palo felt a spark of jealousy run through his body when Alexis made her remark about pilots, but he tried to hide it. He reminded himself to ask her about whether the Jedi vow of celibacy still existed and if they are prohibited from making attachments.
Palo looked at her after he sensed her sideways glance, only to notice the light in her eyes die as she spoke about her mentor, and how he “was” the Battlemaster of Yavin IV. He continued to look at Alexis while she mentioned her gifts in the force were in other directions, but was skilled enough with her lightsaber to keep her alive. It was a rather odd juxtaposition, he thought, to mention her master in the past tense, then mention she was skilled enough to keep herself “alive.” It still seemed like a painful topic for Alexis however, and Palo didn't want her to relive that for the sake of his curiosity, so he decided to emphasize more on her piloting.
“NineDee your X-wing?” Palo asked as he entered the lift beside Alexis. “I've never seen that model before.”
He consciously glanced upward within the lift as if to wonder where they were headed, though in reality it was to avoid looking at Alexis for a moment so she didn't suspect him of staring, and to process some of his emotions without appearing to look distracted.

Alexis sensed Palo's confusion and was aware that she'd failed to convey her meaning. "What I was attempting to say is that most of the time Jedi are portrayed with lightsabers and those are the famous holos. While I have some skill with a lightsaber, indeed, Dav would never have tolerated anything less," she smiled faintly in a bittersweet fashion, "I am much more at home in my x-wing." The petite female lacked the downright strength to hold her own in an extended outright battle, but circumstances had taught her to use her wits, the Force, and anything else that came to hand.
"Aya, not surprised, it's a stealth interceptor," she replied to his statement of never having seen this variant, "while advanced, it requires the skill of a Jedi simply to keep it flying." While this could be considered a downside to the XJ9D snubfighter, she considered it part of the challenge and she wouldn't have traded it for anything else. "The first sixteen prototypes were built for the initial members of Dragon Squadron, based here on Yavin IV."
She eyed him narrowly to see if she was boring him to death as the lift came to a halt and the doors slid open.

Though not bored with the history of the vessel, nor reiterating her preference to use her abilities in the force to pilot her ship, rather than adhere to the somewhat exaggerated perception of renown Jedi wielding lightsabers to defeat their enemies, Palo felt somewhat disconnected, as if Alexis' warm and flirtatious manner subsided into reciting schematics of her Jedi-oriented X-wing. Still, it wasn't an unsuitable response, and, after all, he was the one who asked the question.
Palo was more interested about Alexis than her X-wing, and her reply gave him some information. A talented pilot and member of Yavin IV's Dragon Squadron, she flies a stealth-variant of the X-wing that could only be piloted by a Jedi. The name of her former master was Dav, the Battlemaster of Yavin IV, and, given Alexis' tone and expressions, he most likely recently-deceased.
Palo obviously did not manipulate her to get this information, and even more blatantly evident, he did not plan to use any of this information against her in any fashion. It was more of a habit gained from scouting to process and categorize information in an objective, self-conscious manner. Of course, his “mental file” on the Jedi Order or the Praxeum was currently marked with less priority than learning about Alexis. Not exactly the wisest perception of importance given the current situation, though he couldn't seem to reorganize his priorities rationally.
The doors of the lift slid open, and Palo came to the realization that he was probably going to face some Jedi with significant authority. He hoped whomever he met would at least see his harmless intentions and not send him back to prison.
“I thought I was okay with going back to prison,” he thought to himself as he noticed Alexis eye him narrowly, as he eyed her narrowly at the same time. “...now there's a reason for wanting to remain free, and not go back, just to break out and be on the run again.” Realizing fear would not be the most guiltless emotion to convey, Palo asked Alexis another question. Unfortunately, instead of inquiring about the weapons and countermeasures of her snubfighter to recite over in his mind, Palo's current state of preoccupied self-consciousness spilled out a question more reflective of his desire.
“So do Jedi still take a vow of celibacy and prohibit themselves from forming attachments?” He asked, fully turning his body to face Alexis.
Palo arched his eyebrows, surprised at his own words. “Smooth,” he thought to himself sarcastically, “you have a gift of subtlety. Why don't you just ask her for a goodbye kiss in case you are sent back to prison?” For a moment Palo actually considered it before telling himself commandingly, “DON'T. EVEN. THINK. ABOUT. IT.” Palo mentally tore up his now useless note he made just before entering the lift. "Well," Palo thought, "If the person I'm about to see decides my fate, at least he or she will sense an immense amount of regret." He contemplated the duration of a prison sentence needed to take back his question.

Alexis was in mid-step, about to follow Palo out of the lift when he turned and asked her a question that had absolutely nothing to do with x-wings or the Praxeum in general. Well, not really. Well, ok, it might. But, something about the tone of his voice and the way he was looking at her so intently, as if the answer really mattered to him, told her it was much more personal than that. She gulped, quickly clasping her hands in the small of her back, drawing reassurance from the familiar 'standing-at-ease' debriefing posture.
"Uhm---" she coughed and started over, "ah, no. They don't. Not usually," she grimaced, "not as a general rule. Luke Skywalker broke with that tradition almost as he founded the New Jedi Order. There are a few who swear off all attachment in an attempt to remain connected with the Old Order." Inwardly she rolled her eyes at herself. As if Palo was going to be impressed with her eloquence at the moment. She could have told him that one day he would join the Order. Well, most likely. Always in motion, the future is. But it was one of his possible futures.
She swallowed the invisible lump that seemed to have materialized in her throat and attempted a nonchalant tone of voice which achieved nothing aside from underscoring the fact that he'd shaken her calm. "I think that law was a major contributor to the downfall of the Jedi Order and the Old Republic, as well as the rise of the Empire," she exited the lift, sliding past Palo a bit close and turning to look at him. The few seconds of broken eye contact had sufficed to allow her to regain her equanimity. "Essentially the Order drove Anakin away, providing him with no alternatives, and the Sith easily took advantage of his vulnerable position. At least, this is what I think."

Alexis' apparent discomfort put Palo at ease more than her attempt at formality and his regret of asking her about the Jedi protocol regarding intimate relationships began to wane. In addition to admiring Alexis for simply trusting him rather than treat him like a criminal, Palo also valued her ability to relieve his anxiety, conscious or not, even if his sudden infatuation with her attributed to some of his more nervous feelings.
Palo smirked slightly, as Alexis gulped audibly and coughed before an eloquent explanation. Although he enjoyed her somewhat articulate summary of the policy in historical context, he was more impressed in her personal thoughts and opinions. Of course, her body was also impressive, and Palo stole a glace at her figure as she walked past him.
“I think you're right, Alexis,” he replied, following her. “In fact, one could argue that it was the emotional attachment that brought Anakin back to the light. He witnessed Luke—his son, a part of not only himself and his wife Padme, but the product of their love—being attacked by the Emperor, and he chose to protect Luke and what he represented rather than allow it to be extinguished as he had once believed it to be when Padme died. To an extent, it was Luke's mere existence that redeemed Anakin. It was the rope to his past that allowed him to return to the light and climb out of the darkness that was consuming him.”
Palo wasn't trying to impress Alexis with his insight as much as he was trying to convince her that he was paying more attention to her words than her body, if she happened to notice his glance when she walked by him.

Alexis could tell that Palo felt uneasy and on edge, and she accepted that as reasonable. Regardless of what had happened so far, he had escaped from prison, among other things, and that was usually enough to warrant some caution in returning to society. She had a niggling suspicion that some of it was related to herself, and when she caught him looking at her, her eyes narrowed as she looked at him. It wasn't that she minded his appreciation of her, although she wasn't expecting it, it was more that she wondered at what she should do about it. Did it bother her? Or did she like it?
"I think," she replied dryly, "that if Luke had gone on existing, but never actively joined the Rebellion or met his father, his mere existence would not have been enough to redeem the former Sith Lord."
She smiled at him warmly, as the corners of her lips twitched into a smile. They stopped outside a door with the tag "Diamonte Tuhlute, Headmaster" on the side. She reached out and hit the doorchime, gently brushing her hand along Palo's arm in a comforting gesture.
"I doubt he'll bite," he'd probably had breakfast by now, "at least, not harder than necessary. The safety of the Jedi within the Praxeum is a responsibility he does not take lightly."

As the Door chime rung, the door whooshed open and the duo was Face to face with an eerily tall and metallic droid. The droid looked to the guests for information, instantly knowing Who Alexis was, but focusing more intently on Palo. After a moment the droid nods and stands to the side as if welcoming them into the office part of Monte’s Suite.:: Greetings, Instructor Karidian, Guest. I am Pixar, Super Holographic Droid, and Personal Assistant to the Headmaster and the Academy. Master Tuhlute has been Expecting you Ma’am… before I Fetch him, would either of you like some refreshments?:: The droid waited for the orders before nodding and retreating to the back wall to insert a code onto a tech panel and then leaving momentarily for the mess hall. Meanwhile in the connected room, small grunts of someone having trouble putting on clothes could be heard before the Head master appeared through the Door, smiling and moving to the desk to sit down placing both arms on the table, however the Right sleeve below the elbow joint seemed surprisingly flat.“ Thank you for meeting Alexis, I am sorry I haven’t been able to meet with you sooner, after the Incident with Ms. Tatham, I had an issue I had to deal with, and now I need plan a trip to honoghr in the near-ish future.“ There was a pause as a message From master Rawkill regarding yet another arrival who wanted to meet with me appeared on my internal HUD. I nodding, sending the message away and smiled in a confused manner.“ I am sorry, but could you introduce our guest? I am not quite able to read faces right now” I meant what I said as I was sure Alexis remembered the look up ability I had displayed during the meeting in the Strategy center, but I left it as my secret whether this was due to the missing portion of my right arm, or if I had seen what Pixar Looked up and did not want to judge the man too quickly.

Palo noticed her eyes catching his glance at her body. Any eagerness to defend his argument dissolved into embarrassment, and he blushed. As the pair stopped in front of a door, Alexis' warm smile and gentle touch comforted him, though he couldn't decipher her emotions.
“Headmaster's Office,” Palo said when he glanced at the door after Alexis hit the doorchime. “I must have broken a record...usually it would take me at least a week or two in a new academy to be sent to the Headmaster's Office.”
The door opened quickly revealing an unusually tall droid. While only glancing at Alexis, the droid stared at Palo for a few uncomfortable moments before ushering aside. After introducing himself as “Pixar,” the droid inquired about refreshments.
“I'll have a Darkoma, if it's no trouble.”
Palo usually drank Stimcaf, especially on long scouting missions and stakeouts. But now he needed something to calm his nerves. He wished to himself that he would not receive a lecture about alcohol slowing down one's reflexes. After all, it was customary to drink when offered, unless one was dealing with a Hutt, of course.
Palo watched as the Headmaster entered the room, and was pleasantly surprised. The authority figures he was accustomed dealing with were stoic and humorless shuttas, deeming pleasantries and humor as unprofessional, undisciplined, and a sign of weakness. Diamonte Tuhlute at least seemed more personable, addressing Alexis without an arbitrary title or 'Ms. Karidian.' Still, Palo decided to be polite and wait for Alexis to introduce him, rather than introduce himself.

Rawkill stopped out the front of the door to Diamonte's apartment, turning towards @miarte, as he could sense the presence of Alexis and another new arrival already within the office, meeting with Master Tuhlute =Jedi Master Rawkill= This is where I leave you. Master Tuhlute is already aware of your arrival and will see you soon. Good luck...

*Miarte followed Master Rawkill until they reached Master Tuhlute's apartment. She glanced from the office back to the Jedi beside her and gave a bow.* "Thank you for your assistance." *She glanced down the hallway then back the other way. The hallway wasn't empty, but in a sense it was to her. She didn't recognize anyone in her old home and this saddened her some. Closing her eyes she let out a sigh and leaned up against the wall, folding her arms across her chest. These new events weighed heavily on her mind now, enough so that her mission to the outer rim seemed completely irrelevant.*
