*Kaytra closed her eyes for a moment. She found it kind of hard to try and appolagize if no one was willing to listen. Opening her eyes she caught Alexis's gaze. Her black and green prosthetic eyes held the women's gaze. Like Alexis, Kaytras eyes held a lifetime of experience and then some. Kaytra turned her gaze from the women before speaking.* "If you don't wish for me to prove my word by hunting down GALSAF. Then what do you believe I should do?" *She turned her eyes back to the women.* "I didn't know what they would have become. If I did, then I would have left sooner. I'm not a bad person, just made some bad decisions. I'm sure you've made some as well. I've seen you before, and it wasn't on Yavin."

Constance had stood by as an observer, getting involved only when Master Tuhlute had addressed her, asking her to pre-scribe Kaytra medium strength pain killers for the journey to Selonia. She quickly ducked out of the room and went to the medicine cabinet and filled out the requested pre-scription before promptly returning to the room and placing the container in a small bag, along with the datapad that contained all her medical files since her arrival. She then gave a look of concern as Monte grabbed a vial of high strength pain killers before leaving, she would have moved to follow him, had Rawkill not given her a shake of his head. She hoped his faith in Master Tuhlutes actions with those pain killers was not misplaced, otherwise it could end up being a very bad situation. Rawkill had listened to how Diamonte handled the situation, quite pleased that the man had opted to take the high road and provide some care for her on her journey to Selonia. He soon found his attention drawn to the arrival of Alexis, the only survivng Jedi from the former Yavin Jedi that had been here before the attack by the Mandalorians. Although he was slightly loath to admit it, but it appeared that a Padawan had shown a great deal more wisdom than either himself or Monte had so far in this situation. Though to be fair, the situation had quickly gotten away from him, leaving him no opportunity to get a word in. It was following Kaytra's response to Alexis, that Diamonte seemed to have reached his wit's end and took off with a vial of pain killers, an idea he didn't think was entirely advisable, but he could only trust Monte to make the right decision with them. He merely gave a shrug of his shoulders, as he looked up to Alexis, before turning his attention back to Kaytra as she once again asked what she could do to prove her word, since she was not going to return to GALSAF, but instead planned to hunt them down =Jedi Master Rawkill= Forgive Master Tuhlute, he has been travelling for a good number of days, and dealing with a former member of GALSAF so soon after his break, which was something of a result of what happened here with them... It can shake a man. Alexis has the right of it however, you fighting a war against GALSAF will do you no good. If you are earnest in your claim to never return to GALSAF, then reunite with your family, work hard to make a better life for yourself. If they are indeed merchants, then we will not deny them a chance to trade with us. If you are still intent on seeing GALSAFs fall, then you have only to provide the intel you have on them to us, or the Republic, or even the Empire. I won't deny we have all made bad decisions at one point in our life, but as a certain Master that I know believes, people can change and make up for their mistakes, but it is not an easy road, nor one lightly travelled. I wish you luck on your journey, I'll have Athos bring Gavin by so we can get you moving to Selonia so they can attend to your repairs and injuries... With that out of the way, Rawkill produced his datapad and typed out a short message and sent it to Athos, who was in the hangar bay, acting as Gavin's guide. Although he wasn't sure how willing Gavin would be to be transporting Kaytra again, Rawkill would compensate the man somehow to make it worth the man's time

Alexis shrugged, "It is not my place to say," she replied to Kaytra, taking in Rawkill with a smile, "though I believe Master Rawkill speaks sense."
The blip of emotion from Rawkill was unsettling, followed by Kaytra's reference to meeting in different circumstances. Her only other run-in with GALSAF was on board their flagship, and while good things had happened, there were things Alexis preferred to forget. "To which mistake are you referring?" she inquired, already guessing where the other woman was going to go with that. "Up until recently, I was not entirely sure that I would survive GALSAF's presence on Yavin IV." Facing down Ander Tagira in the hall outside the Praxeum Archives had not been something she enjoyed, and for a tense moment in time she had been certain that he was about to kill her, though she would have done her level best to kill him first.

*Gavin made his way into the medical center behind Athos. For a quick moment, he took at the quick look few people around before resting at ease. Not, knowing who requested him, he spoke out loud, mostly assuming it was more than likely the Ewok as the other two seemed young though Rawkill's other apprentice could have just as well summoned him.*
"I am Gavin Phoenix. My presence has been requested."

*Kaytra arched an eyebrow at Alexis comment. She herself didn't know about the events on GALSAFs flagship, just that she had seen the women there.* "We all have mistakes in our life. I can't point one of yours out specifically, basically I only know you by name, not your personal history." *She gave a frown when the young women mentioned that she didn't think she was going to survive her encounter with GALSAF.* "Things did go poorly when they were here. I'm just glad it didn't escalate into violence."

Athos lead the way into the medical center and showed Gavin over to where Kaytra was beign attended to, before standing back, to stop the area from getting too over crowded. Rawkill gave a nod of approval to his apprentice, before turning his attention to the man known as Gavin Phoenix, taking a brief moment to size him up, wondering if they had perhaps met once before, even if no immediate memories were coming to mind =Jedi Master Rawkill= Thank you for coming. I do appologise for the strange security measures and any inconveniance it has caused, but alas we live in uncertain days, and with this Academy working on a skeleton staff, it's better to err on the side of caution... With that out of the way, I have a request of you Mr Phoenix... As I am sure you are no doubt away, Miss Tatham requires medical attention, and we lack the resources to provide her with the care she needs, so I must ask if you could transfer her to Selonia, to the Five Worlds Medical Center, so that they may attend to her. Constance has already attended to the medical records, so the staff will be able to get to work right away. Once again I apologize for the inconveniance, but I am afraid there is very few options available in this case...

*Gavin simply nodded as Rawkill spoke.* "I understand completely for the security measures. The Mando attack and those that aided them did take its toll in some way or another across the galaxy. It is expected, and if any saw you not taking precautions, they'd probably think you didn't care about the safety of the academy. I once wandered these halls as a Jedi in my youth, though that was a very long time ago. I'd hate for it to fall to ruin. As for transporting her, I have no issue with it. When I found her, I healed her enough to stop the bleeding and keep her from death's grip. I brought her here, though I'm not aware of the current status of the academy and its medical facilities, as she requested to come to seek forgiveness and atonement for her actions here, if possible. I have lived a long time and believe any who are willing to truly seek such things should be allowed the chance to make amends and gained that forgiveness."

Alexis took in the new arrivals. Evidently Athos was Master Rawkill's padawan, if the Ewok's manner toward him was anything to judge by. As for Gavin Phoenix, the dark-eyed woman sensed a difference in his aura. The man wasn't fully Jedi...but neither was he Sith. He simply was different. Recently arrived from Coruscant she surmised before looking back at Kaytra.
"The Force works in mysterious ways," she replied thoughtfully, "but violence would undoubtedly have led to a more bitter conclusion than that we have already come to."
She wondered if Ander would have regretted his hand in her death, if it had come to that, or whether he would have viewed it with clinical detachment as yet another business transaction to be toted up in the GALSAF ledger.
Alexis changed the topic, with a subtle gesture towards Gavin, "You and he have a history I think?"

Rawkill was quite pleased that Gavin was understanding of the security precautions and had agreed to transport Kaytra. He grabbed the small bag that Constance handed to him, before handing it over to Gavin =Jedi Master Rawkill= Thank you once again Gavin, I now entrust her back into your care to get her to Selonia as fast as possible, the Med Team will take Kaytra to your ship now, if no one has any further questions... Rawkill gave a nod to a couple Medics that would unlock the wheel locks, before wheeling the bed out of the Medical Center and through the Temple, back to the Hangar Bay. Although her stay had been short, Rawkill was quite certain it had been an enlightening trip never-the-less, and quite certain she would more wisely plan her future moves, especially when it came to seeking redemption for the actions of her past

*Gavin watched as Kaytra was wheeled from the room and out to his ship. He turned his attention to each one left in the room, before focusing upon Rawkill and bowing.*

Rawkill gave a bow of his head, quite certain that it would not be too much of a problem for Gavin to return one day, however if any problems arose, he was sure they could deal with it later on. For now, the priority was more on getting Kaytra to a proper Medical Center =Jedi Master Rawkill= I am sure we can work something out later on down the road. Safe travels friend...

*Gavin nodded.* "And may the Force aid you in the rebuilding of this academy." *Without another word, Gavin turned and made his way back to the hanger.*

Her trip down the halls to the Medical Centre had been uneventful, if alarming. Most of the people she passed were not Jedi nor wore the usual uniforms the non-Sensitive staff used. More worryingly, most had the look of an escaped convict or mercenaries. Some eyed her warily, some nodded a greeting. Mostly they just noticed the gunmetal grey hilt hanging off her belt and let her be. Whatever operation Rutil was running here, it wasn't restoring the temple in any sense of the word. The halls emptied as she walked on, boots almost silent against the worn floor. She turned left and stopped short.
A heavy green mist cascaded from vents above and hung low over the floor. Skeletons lay scattered across the stone floor, hilts in their hands. Most looked like they were trying to escape. Adelle paled and took a step back, blinking. The hall ahead of her was clean and as empty as the rest of the corridors around her. Red sunlight filtered in from high windows, bathing the hall in crimson. Adelle leaned back against a wall, trying to collect her thoughts. She hadn't been sleeping much the last few days: it could've been a sleep-deprived hallucination. Something didn't feel right though. As if she could smell the poison she saw.
The slender black tail of a snake whipped around a corner and disappeared from sight. Adelle sighed and let her head fall back against the wall, eyes closed. Someone might as well grab the creature and put it outside before someone hurt it. She pushed herself off the wall and followed down the hallways away from the Medical Centre, looking for the black serpent she'd seen.

1734 standard hours
With Leigh's help, Adelle staggered into the medical center, fumbling with a pocket in her cargo pants. She pulled out a fairly beaten card and inserted it into a slot just below the main doors' activation panel. The doors opened normally but Adelle now had access to everything within the MedCentre that she needed. She guided Leigh into an operating theater, using her bio-ID to activate a 2-1B medical droid and a 2-1BXS medical droid in powered-down standby just outside the doors. The BXS would be able to handle Aherk's surgery for the most part. The 2-1B, nicknamed Fours, was mostly for personal reasons.
"Patient has suffered severe trauma to the chest cavity. Open wound. Shows signs of gangrene," Adelle rattled off, pointing at the center table for Leigh. She leaned in a corner for support while she focused on her own injuries. The 2-1 BXS, however, stood in front of her.
"We could assist you better if you laid on the operating table, Master Jedi," it said.
"I'm not the patient," Adelle snapped. She pointed at the wheezing man Leigh was laying on the table. "He is."
"With all due respect, his odds of survival—"
"Kriff your odds!" She placed a hand on her rib cage, finding the one that had punctured her lung. This was going to hurt.
"There's no use trying to argue the point with Knight Bastiel. It often makes things worse," Fours said. "Take scans of the patient. Knight Bastiel means to heal him in spite of probability."
BXS left and walked over to the operating table. Adelle looked at Leigh wearily, gently placing a hand on her ribcage.
"We have two options," she said. "One, you go and initiate a ThreatCon Delta in the strategy center."
Fours swiveled its head to look at Adelle. She took a shuddering breath and licked her lips.
"Two, you go help Na'an and I initiate a Code Black in the MedCenter." Leigh probably would only be familiar with ThreatCon Delta, Adelle realized. Probably for the best.

"If Na'an requires assistance, I will know it," Leigh straightened, looming over the man now on the table as she considered the options Adelle had presented. "And I believe you will as well. As it stands my priority is your safety--and his."
She scanned her memory for information on the two codes, noting that both were uncommon in the Jedi lexicon and one only used by those who worked in Medical. Adelle had provided two valid option, but both presented risks. A ThreatCon Delta would create an immediate alert of possible violent action in the area, diverting nearby forces to the Strategy Center rather than to their location. Adelle would be safe to perform any medical procedure she deemed necessary, as well as leave the Center if a threat presented itself, while defense would fall solely to her--as long as the Medical Center stayed off the cultists' radar. There was also the possibility that the signal would be broadcast outside of the Praxeum, alerting possible allies to the situation. On the other hand, a Code Black would lock down the Medical Center in a defensive position under the assumption that it was being threatened. Adelle and Aherk would be equally safe, and Leigh would be there to defend them directly, but the code was explicitly medical--it would alert anyone in the facility to their location, making it difficult at best to leave. If the situation with her partner changed, Leigh would likely be unable to reach her.
Leigh regarded the man on the table for a moment. Aherk was breathing shallowly, the gurgling sound high in his chest indicating critical fluid buildup. In the sterile light of the Medical Center, she could see the grey, clammy tinge of his skin. Adelle was only marginally more healthy--her respiration was equally labored, her body barely standing up under the injuries the droid had inflicted on her. If the cultists arrived armed, the probability that either would be able to defend themselves was miniscule.
"I will go to the Strategy Center," she said finally, "but on a condition. You must keep my comm frequency on hand at all times during your work. If you are threatened, you initiate the Code Black immediately and contact me so that I can extract you."
She did not leave space for disagreement, but went directly to work. A few taps of the comm system detached a small beacon keyed directly to her frequency, which she placed next to Aherk on the medical table. Leigh then checked her live-fire settings, dialing down the power to allow for more rapid fire, and went for the door. "If you do not hear from either of us in an hour, do what you must to escape alone."
The door slid open, then shut behind the droid.

As the door locked behind the massive war droid, Aherk lazily turned his head to the Human woman that remained with him. The black-haired man had been half-delirious when she had done battle with his own assassin droid, but he was able to tell how the battle went. Her bodily posture and attitude spoke to several serious injuries. Her continued existence, however, spoke to the KR unit's demise.
If the cultists broke through, they were both in a world of trouble. Rather, she was; with his chest worsening and his lungs slowly filling with his own gangrenous blood, death would be a welcome relief from the last few days.

A nod answered Leigh as Adelle closed her eyes, visualizing the bone that pierced her lung. A clean break but it had torn through the lung. A steady trickle of blood ran off the tip. The damage to the lung was worse than she first thought. Adelle's hand arched as she wrapped the rib in the Force, slowly easing it out of the hole. Something seared the left side of her scalp, burning through her ear. Adelle jerked to her left and gasped in pain. Stars entered her vision and the floor spun. The hells was that?
"Your heart rate has elevated and your adrenaline level has increased," Fours said. "I detect additional internal hemorrhaging in your lung."
"Ssshit," Adelle wheezed. She had yanked. She should've been able to pull the rib straight out and ease it back into place. The pain had interfered. What was that? Who was that? Not Leigh, certainly. Her presence wasn't nearly strong enough for Adelle to pick up on it. A cultist? Improbable. Most empathic pains were from people she knew. Na'an. Adelle squeezed her eyes shut as she focused on breathing, on stopping the bleeding in her lung. There was nothing she could do for Na'an right now. There was, however, a dying man in the same room that she had to save.
"Bleeding is stopped. I count three ribs fully broken, one out of alignment. Four fractured." Fours' mechanical monotone brought her back into the med center.
"Get me a saline drip and an IV for stims," Adelle said. Every breath hurt and her body protested. She pushed herself off the wall. "Wheel him into a theater while I sterilize my hands."
The BXS looked up at her. "Scans complete. Blood pressure: ninety over fifty mm Hg. Temperature: 100.3 degrees Fahrenheit. Blood oxygen saturation: seventy-five percent. Foreign objects found in thoracic cavity. Foreign objects found in lungs. Perforations in lungs. Infection present in the ectodermal, mesodermal, and endodermal tissues. Infection present in the parenchyma of both lungs. Infection present in bloodstream. Diagnosis: Gangrene, sepsis, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, physical trauma due to respirator malfunction."
Adelle blinked as she processed all the information.
"Prognosis: death within twenty-four standard hours." The BXS droid whirred slightly as Fours pushed the repulsor-bed further into the med center. "Do you still wish to continue operation?"
She set her jaw. "Yes. Hook him up to the IVs necessary. Treatment plan is as follows. Lung transplant, synth-muscle grafts, synth-flesh grafts, blood transfusion, diuresis, and antibiotics."
The 2-1 BXS tilted its head slightly, whirring all the while. Finally, it turned wordlessly and followed the path Fours had taken, presumably to gather what she needed for the op. Adelle rubbed her forehead and heaved, wincing as she did. There was no rest for the weary.

Still barely able to form words, Aherk forced himself to focus through his continuing agony, listening to the exchange. It didn't sound good in the least. Infection in the bloodstream? Lung perforations? Death? It painted a very pretty picture of the next few standard hours, and while he wasn't a doctor in any official capacity, he did have enough medical experience to understand just how thoroughly screwed he was. Not in the least because of all of the Jedi woman's ordered procedures, the building's state had the capacity to perform the blood transfusion in the best case scenario.
"Didn't thi-think..." Aherk said, shaping his exhalation more than actually forming words, "...we had the...the stuff. Or d-d-did you not notice the...the general upkeep?"

Fours looked down at the man he pushed forward silently. The man's estimate was closer the actual inventory than Jedi Bastiel's needs but, Fours reasoned, Jedi Bastiel had not yet set foot on Yavin IV since before the Mandalorian blockade and invasion. She would not know the inventory and would need to be apprised of the situation. Prior to Jedi Iorek taking command of the Praxeum, a few attempts at restarting the temple as a center for Jedi activity had been launched and subsequently failed when the Jedi, for reasons unknown, would leave the Praxeum. The disrepair the Temple currently found itself in was, in large part, a factor but Fours calculated that the residual emotions (and pheromones and hormones that many species picked up on subconsciously) from the battle were too much for even seasoned Jedi to handle. And there were few enough of the veterans around.
"It will not deter Jedi Bastiel," Fours said. "She is of a singular mind, I believe the phrase goes, when there is a patient. Simple facts for the non-Force sensitives are of no concern to her."
---
"That will be quite impossible."
Adelle scowled at the BXS droid but knew there was an explanation. She just didn't want to hear it.
"Power failures in refrigerators 1, 2, and 3 have rendered all organs invalid. Synth-flesh grafts have not been restocked. Synth-muscle grafts have not been restocked." The BXS whirred as its computer processed all recent updates to inventories. "Blood transfusion possible. Diuresis possible. Antibiotics stores, two bottles. Bacta stores, three patches and one gallon liquid. Anesthetics, none. Saline, one bag. Without anesthetic, the patient will die from shock."
She chewed on her thumb as the BXS rattled off the inventory and its second death prognosis. "Is there any liquor? We could use that to numb his sense of feeling a bit."
"The alcohol would have negative impacts on the ability of the patient's blood to clot and would increase chances of a heart attack or stroke."
"Okay, okay fine." Adelle rubbed her face with her hands, tapping her fingers against her cheeks. "Do we at least have stims and epinephrine?"
The BXS paused for a second. "Affirmative. They will not aid the patient's operation or recovery."
"I wasn't thinking about the patient." Adelle walked away and called out over her shoulder. "Get what we have and meet in the operating room."
Halfway down a dim corridor, Adelle felt something change. Something cold and sharp and alive flooded her veins and she suddenly felt more alert than she had before. The pain from her fight dulled to an ache, as if her body had decided it wasn't as important as what she needed to be doing now. And really, what was more important than saving a person's life? She jogged down the hall, feeling a sense of urgency in her bones. There was an operation to do.

Several signatures pinged off her senses. Adelle stopped scrubbing her hands and cocked her head to the side, as if to listen. Muted, humming, intent but emotionless. Deadly. Adelle frowned and ran her hands under the sanitizer, letting the light flood over her skin. The signatures felt directionless, for all their intention, like lightsaber crystals a Jedi had forgotten to attune. Adelle froze. No, that's precisely what they were. She'd fought against them when she sparred the training droids here. But if the droids were close enough for her to sense, that meant they had to have been activated. Most of the mercenaries here didn't seem like they would know how to activate them or care enough to activate them. Iorek would've but Na'an kept him busy. So who— Kriff.
Adelle dashed from the prep room back to where Leigh had set down the comm. An odd sense of being alone in the dimly lit hallways nagged at her mind as she ran. She half-expected a saber to erupt from around the next corner, or from the next doorway. She reached the comm without incident but the droids' signatures were far closer. She thumbed the comm on as she marched to the nearest terminal.
"Change of plans, Leigh," Adelle said. "Nuke the strat center."
