Hey guys,
Sorry that i havent been around in a very long time, but life is life. Anyways I was just curious about the state of the Republic now, and wanted to see if Rendili was in need of a Senator cause i'd like to bring Cam back as a part of the republic even though he is no longer the Supreme Chancellor

I haven't heard anything about Rendili in a very long time, so as far as I know, you would be free to pick up where you left off. The state of the Republic is largely stagnant. Crom'nen gave us a good amount of political and military intrigue with the events at Ryloth and Kuat, but since that, not much has happened. We do finally have a Senator representing Yavin, so that is a welcome development, from an IC perspective. There will be a charity benefit for Ryloth's recovery on Coruscant soon, and I am planning to organize a relief mission to Belkadan whenever that storyline properly kicks off. I'm honestly not even sure who the current Supreme Chancellor is, we may need to elect a new one? |

My good sirs, I regret to inform you that the president of Corulag is dead. Killed by some kind of policing arm of the republic that seemed to come to arrest him because of his seemingly traitor existence. Its all kinda shady and little information is devulched at this moment. Someone should investigate... Also, several politicians are incriminated in this or that, while the local support for the silent and organised Imperial Party is getting stronger. something.... erm... should be done. So...... lets talk about that in the Senate!  (Chough...... chough.... chough....) |

Supreme chancellor was Cihlbar of Mon Cal, a profile of Will Sontir. However, he has been gone. For a while now. New elections should be held.
BTW, president of Corulag assassination should be investigated well. Let's debate this. Was Corulag a Republic world?

Hi, i had talked to Koronov about joining on as kinda a "Hand" type character a la Mara Jade, with the republic, and specifically Koronov. We had started something in the Senate Rotunda before his internet issues started. I liked the train of the story, but i have gotten really bored waiting for his return. IF anyone has any ideas for a way to do something without him until his return i am all ears. I am really bored of waiting.

I was unaware that Corulag was still a Republic world. I thought we left it abandoned around 4 years ago. Interesting.

At least as far as the Jedi on Corellia are concerned, our official policy is that the Jedi do not rule planets or govern.
I write the Senators for Corellia, Drall, and Naboo. As far as I know, Selonia, Talus, and Tralus are solidly Republic worlds as well.

Yavin IV is still actively represented.
We probably need status checks on Rendili, Mon Cal and any others. I think we lost Froz to abandonment. I'm sure I'm forgetting others.
I have been discussing Corulag with Nicademus. I can find no record of it ever becoming a Republic planet by IC action, but the former Imperial governor was writing on the planet as if it were a Republic world that had been secretly subverted. We are both very confused as to who actually has a verifiable IC claim to the planet, but he proposes we simply play it as a disputed world, which could be the basis for a proxy war of sorts between the Republic and the Empire, or any number of other small conflicts.
Fresia should have some Mando activity again soon.

I really do not believe Corulag was a Republic world, and if it had been, we would have worked harder OOC to defend it. Nicademus believed it was Imperial until he saw this discussion, so it's not just my bad memory here.
That said, I prefer openness in collaboration and creativity when possible -- if someone wants a world to be a Republic world and has written it that way, even if it was not properly done and official IC, I am willing to roll with it, within reason, and ignore some of the thorny IC questions.

Are all of these planets actively played on? Corellia and Yavin IV, obviously, yes. There's a small amount of activity on Drall. Naboo sees a lot of tourist traffic from time to time. The others, I have no idea. |

The best way I put it was that Gabriel, aka Nase Talsey, was very good at making Corulag have a very blurry line between whose allegiance it owed. Sadly he isn't around to confirm anything involving Corulag. I know he had some sort of idea involving rival political parties; one was pro-Empire and another was pro-Republic that would unleash a civil war upon the planet. I suggested that since there is much confusion surrounding the planet, we might as well take advantage of it and use it for future/further interaction between the Empire and Republic. Could also be the place of a proxy war, as Koronov mentioned, that would be a part of this Cold War phase we got going on. To add on, if you want some help with planets being represented, I could give it a go. I do have a spare character I could eliminate and redo. |

I was going to offer the same thing. I would be happy to play as a minor senator. I have room for another alt.
I noticed Bothawui has been abandoned. I think it would be fun to play a Bothan.
