For the record, Yavin is super active because they are pretty sweet but also because of this RP. Corellia has a team sitting around waiting to do something. Hit it, why not. Me and Mikey can be tipped off, recalled and Corellia has already experienced Masters at the helm. And newcomer: you've come to the right place. We are just discussing a massive Roleplay we've been working on for a long time. So how did you want to start? Sorry to be a little late to respond, I was out straight after work yesterday, so I couldn't reply. So, starting wise, I'm completely flexible. I honestly don't mind starting as a lowly apprentice and working my way up. I was thinking of just having Naj transfer to the academy with orders from her original jedi temple and taking it from there. Hope that's alright and not too much of an inconvenience? |

not at all, but some more questions that need be answered.
Which Academy? (Corellia? Coruscant? Honoghr? Felucia? Ossus? Yavin, definitely not a good time)
Who do you see your character becoming? (guardianesque, consularesque, part of the Watchmen Corps, Diplomat) Totally not trying to pigeon hole you, by any means. Just a good idea to think about and decide for the next question.
What skills are you wanting your character to learn? Are you looking to become a Masters Apprentice? Whose? Need to pass your Trials soon or just a natural progression as storylines develop?
Sorry if this is a bit overwhelming, but still good things that we need to know in order for you to find your best fit.

I always like my characters to be a bit backwater, which is why I tend to pick quite random planets for homeworlds. Nij is from Cirrus, so I was thinking of having her training there as a child to begin with, then moving to a more mainstream planet, perhaps Corellia. I'm happy for her to grow into any role really, natural progression something that I prefer. I tend not to plan things too much because things never really go according to plan lol. |

We can split timelines, Alkor, but the problem is in tying things in with each other. Like events that require a reaction in other arena's may not have bee written to dictate certain responses etc. Saying that, that may not, and never have been, a viable ideal considering the myriad writers and forces taking part. From my view, writing both sides, I was hoping to have certain thingss ripple out to spark reactions all over the place. One such example is perhaps of a massacre, or other such Force-rippling event, that causes reactions from Jedi all over the place. Another is the reactions Josh and Dav share. Their link is strong enough that certain occurrences on Yavin are being felt by Joshua on Dressel. Same for Dav sensing stuff going on with Joshua. Comm reports, where ships and characters have gone from which arena to where in respect of certain timelines in certain arena's...
You see my concerns?

It's not uncommon for a few days to go between posts in any given thread, though obviously, most people prefer to try, at least, to keep things ticking over as regularly as possible. Have you come up with a world of origin and origin story yet? Sorry if you already said, I may have missed it in the bustle.... |

Anyone heard from Jago recently? i.e. within the last couple of weeks?
Also Will, if Jago doesn't surface before August 20 for the Mon Calamari RP, what should be my best course of action for leaving the RP? I would like to get my character out of limbo and onto other things, or placed on a route to other things. I'm not interested in sticking around on Dac in void for much longer, intentions for awesome story withstanding or not. Since you prefer planning, please let me know what procedure I need to go through to get off your planet. If we can't come up with anything, the alternative is to void out my part of the RP as if it never happened, because I am tired of waiting.

I want to keep her story quite simple really, free of any real drama and hardship as some people tend to go overboard. Just going to have her born with a connection to the force, then shipped off to her homeworld's academy when she was younger, so really a Jedi life is all she knows. |

So just show up on Corellia, in the Academy, as if you were there your whole life. Simple. Sy, Just tell me where you want to go and I will be more then happy to get you there. I don't see why that it is too much, I have just been trying to help your RP along and I can't do that if you don't give me a direction to go to. Your RP won't effect the great Void we are in, I will NPC Jago within reason. Just tell me where you want Syren to be, and I will push the SL that way. Not every line or reaction needs be scripted, just the general outlay. |

I've kicked off the Ossus thing too. Ships have left Dathomir (which was the Mando rendezvous if I didn't answer you already Will) and are en-route. I posted in my narration that its possible that Jedi may get a ague sense of impending doom, those on Ossus anyway. Other can experience a disturbance, ala Obi-Wan when Alderaan was destroyed. That's the only warning they'll get as the council will only JUST be hearing about Yavin, if at all, by this time.
On another note, the assets I've got at my disposal at the moment can easily be split into two, three even, so other targets are a possibility for those throwing other arena's on the table. I'd like to note, and perhaps warn, that opening these other locations will have no guarantee of speeding the RP up and could actually create more problems. There's no guarantee that it'll move faster than Yavin or that writers will stick around to see it completed. I'd also warn that I'd be reticent in letting these RPs drift too far apart chronologically as I'd like to keep at least my stuff tied in with each other. That being said, I'm all for getting people busy and active and don't like to see anyone forced to sit idle.
I will level a finger at Adi though. I understand your frustration but perhaps you should stop wringing your hands and throw another character on the table to alleviate the pressure of others manning up to do so. I'm not picking on you or singling you out and don't give me the folded arms "I don't write NPCs" routine. Create an alt. I'm determined to see you write someone other than Adi out of some oddly abstract form of sadistic self-mutilation. Unless of course you are INCAPABLE of writing another character?
